After disposing of both the man and the device Seventeen believed to be the only things capable of putting him back in that coffin which despised so much, he began scouring the lab for anything he might find useful. Firstly, he’d noticed one of the containers holding his twin sister, Eighteen and another holding another construct that he was not so familiar with. The young cyborg contemplated awakening the two, but was not sure what the result would be. His sister was sure a buzzkill, although he harboured some sort of compassion. The other being was a large one to say the least and definitely looked like he might’ve been some kind of fun. However, Seventeen hoped to have some fun without his sister’s dictating for at least a little while.

His final decision was made. Seventeen headed over toward one of the large computers he was sure governed their containers and tapped away at the keys until finding himself upon their release settings.

… Processing... Processing..

Seventeen waited impatiently, tapping his foot and groaning at the machinery. One would think a genius such as Dr. Gero would have configured these things to work at the speed of light by now. Finally, the screen he’d been waiting for had shown up.

Enter time and date desired for release.

Seventeen tapped away, and entered a time just as the machine suggested. Just enough time for him to get all of the fun he wanted out the way before his dull counterpart would come and halt it with a conviction. It would also give him just enough time to gain a sort of head start in his power gainage, so that their gap in strength would establish his dominance amongst the group.

He made a few final tedious adjustments pertaining to their release and finally lifted himself from the machine. Taking one final glance back at the now headless body of his creator and a once over of the containers, he smirked before heading towards the exit. ”I’m sure someone will enjoy cleaning up that heap of crap.

The headstrong Seventeen was urgently tempted to simply blast his way out of the lab, but stopped himself just short of the act. A thought of courtesy crossed over his mind. Certainly did not want the lab and his would be pals to be discovered by any outsider--...

Speak of the devil.

While he was unaware he’d had any, his internal sensors picked up on a person’s energy just outside of the cave. By the feel of it, they were doing their best to conceal it. Certainly not the run of the mill excavator. Snooping around it would seem. A perfect chance to test out his gifts of enhancement given to him by late Dr. Gero. This should be fun..

Tapping a few keys, he activated the door’s security system. It was voice activated and asked for confirmation. After giving a identically imitation of Dr. Gero’s voice, the door eased its way open and gravel poured aside as it did. Seventeen peered outside, looking for the source of the energy he’d felt. He was anxious to make his first actual kill, as that was he’d technically been designed for. While this one might not be apart of his designated assignment, it would sure make a good warm up. Besides, judging by his calculations, he was nowhere near complete as far as Gero was concerned. Meaning that this ‘Goku’ would have to wait. “Come on, where are you, stranger? Isn’t there some saying about curiosity and cats? Pretty sure the cat died. Let’s just hope you have nine lives, too.”

Emersion [OPEN, Just ask.] Empty Re: Emersion [OPEN, Just ask.]

Post by Nyx 7/2/2012, 9:22 pm

It was not just the dawn of a new day, but of a new era. Nyx was free. The world was hers. After escaping the site of the ruins that would be remembered by no one, she had set out to explore her new realm. Her travels took her due North, closer and closer towards civilization. High above the land, in amongst the clouds, she was enjoying the freedom of flight for the very first time. Down she looked upon the sprawling landscape, a city dotted with it's shiny metallic buildings and it's ant like inhabitants scuttling about in the morning rush. Up here, gazing down upon these humans, gave her a great sense of superiority. And rightly so. She was superior to them. Vastly. The corners of her lips twitched in the smallest of smirks, knowing that in the back of her mind, she was what they could never become.

Floating idly in the brisk air, she contemplated the scene presented before her. Crossing her arms, bending her head low thoughtfully, her options were taken into consideration. There was always the fun in blasting this glistening metropolis and it's citizens to dust, or better yet, going on a killing spree. But no, her heart just wasn't in it today. Going down and mingling among the crowds could be interesting. After a closer look with her exceptional vision, she shook her head, dismissing that idea. It was rush hour. The streets and sidewalks alike were clogged with bodies, and Nyx didn't feel like being jostled around. With a temper such as hers, heads would be rolling down the streets in a matter of moments, if not seconds. Sighing to herself, she shook her head in a display of discontent. She was wasting her time here, so it was best to move on. In blazing flash, she took off towards some mountains in the distance. Perhaps another day she would have fun with this little town.

As she flew onwards, thoughts ran through her mind. Thoughts of her past, the present, and the future. Those wretched fools, her masters. They thought they were so smart. Although long dead, they lived on. The original home base was destroyed yes, but duplicates were scattered across the globe, manned by predecessors of her original keepers. Such places Nyx could not allow to exist. Why, do you ask? To ensure that a being like herself, and what she was put through, never came to light. Call her selfish, but as the superior creature she was, Nyx would not tolerate anything like herself. Being one of a kind was a privilege, and that was how she liked it.

Deep within the mountain ranges, she scoured the landscape with her intense gaze, looking for anything out of the ordinary. Flying low, she weaved among the trees with ease before drifting close to the granite walls of the mountains once more. Ten uneventful minutes had passed until something had finally caught her eye. An opening in the mountain, leading to the entrance of a cave. Mid flight, she stopped sharply, muscles growing rigid. Her eyes narrowed a fraction. "Could this be one of their locations? Surely it is a possibility, even though it is far too exposed for their taste..." Nyx could not afford to take the risk and let this little find go undiscovered. If it was one of the locations she was after and passed it by, she would regret it. True to her nature, she left no stone unturned. Slowly, Nyx drifted towards the entrance, landing on the ground just outside of the cave. Before her eyes were a pair of large metal doors. Expertly, she scanned them for any kind of device such as a pin pad which she could hack into with ease. However, there would be no need for that. Someone was home, and they were more than happy to open up the doors for her.

Ever so slightly, did she tense, but on the outside she remained perfectly calm. The first thing that greeted her eyes was the decapitated head of an old man. How lovely. Next, she heard a voice. It was male. “Come on, where are you, stranger? Isn’t there some saying about curiosity and cats? Pretty sure the cat died. Let’s just hope you have nine lives, too.” So, it was a challenge he wanted, did he? Nyx swiftly concluded that this place was not what she had been searching for. Like the natural born predator she was, she stuck close to the shadows. The moment she would reveal herself would be of her choosing. At a moments notice, she was ready to reach into the bag slung around her back, to pull out not a weapon, but a device to assess this potential threat. Cool, calm and collected, she may appear, but in an instant, she could strike. Her voice rolled forth, with low, soft words. "Oh but the cat is just a lowly animal you see. They only get nine lives, and nothing more. It makes them weak. I however, am different. And many have found that out for themselves." The only question now was, did he have the gall to challenge her?

"Oh but the cat is just a lowly animal you see. They only get nine lives, and nothing more. It makes them weak. I however, am different. And many have found that out for themselves."

The newly awakened cyborg was intrigued by the response from an unexpected source. The visitor had turned out to be a fairly young and not at all familiar woman. By the look of it, she was human. However, his instinct told him otherwise. Something about her did not register with a typical human’s make-up. It’d take further investigation and definitely made for an interesting first discovery.

Not an ounce of coward in this being. Such confidence had to have been backed by at least some sort of strength underneath her obvious beauty. How deceiving, her appearance was. Surely, it was creatures like her that one would have to be most wary of. While he was not personally interested in relationships of any sort, he could see how a human might easily bite the dust taking her beauty for fragility. Judging by that somewhat animalistic glare in her eye, he would not doubt that she has killed before. Maybe she knows how to have a good time.

Being now aware of his internal scouter that allowed him to sense her presence in the first place, he tapped into it once more in an attempt to gauge her combat potential if there was any as he’d expected. As it processed and scanned her, he began pacing toward her and making his own retort. “Something tells me you’re not the delicate flower you would appear to be.”

His scouter was just coming to a conclusion when he noticed her reaching for something in a sack she had hanging from her person. He had not felt threatened, but still took a precaution and paused in his advancing. Eyeing her hands with a static precision, he then asked, “What you got there?”

While he waited for a response, he’d registered the results of her power reading. The results surprised him, but did not bother him by a longshot. Her power was not far off from his own and that in itself was a shocker. His design according to his creator was supposed to be one of sheer superiority. Though, it was mentioned by Gero through all of the gurgling while in a chokehold that Seventeen was not yet complete. Maybe, it might not have been such a bad idea to continue his slumber in the coffin and await completion. However, with her arrival being at this very moment, it might not have mattered. Gero would not have been able to fend her off on his own and would have resorted to either activating his creations or seeing them destroyed along with the entirety of his lab.

The now captivated cyborg paused for a moment, contemplating how to go about his next step. His impulses told him to run this lady into the ground as a sort of guinea pig for his own power gauging. However, his intelligence spoke of holding off so as not to cause any unnecessary damage to his not so perfect self. There was still far more work to be done and this could possibly slow him down.

Perhaps, a compromise could be made between his urges and his sense of reason. Firstly, a bit of identification might smooth things over. After folding his arms and making direct, yet a sort of empty eye contact with the stranger, Seventeen made another inquiry. “I’ve just about every one of Earth’s prominent fighters noted, yet you don’t seem to be ringing any bells. Who might you be, stranger?”

Emersion [OPEN, Just ask.] Empty Re: Emersion [OPEN, Just ask.]

Post by Novashen 7/2/2012, 10:21 pm

“Who are you, answer in the name of your Prince!” Novashen spoke to a man who stood in front of him, a man who was dressed head to toe in brightly colored clothing, a wickedly curved sword in hand, a sword that had several times now bit into his flesh. The Prince tried to sound firm and brave, but the truth was he was starting to feel weak, his essence was draining from multiple wounds and he was unsure how much longer he would last.

Off to his right, the second to last bandit, for that is what they had to be, charged Novashen and like the trained warrior he was Novashen managed to dart under the oncoming blade that sought his neck piercing the bandit's heart with his own blade as the clumsy being practically impaled itself upon Novashen's sword.

“It's just you and me now, you had best surrender and tell me why you attacked before I am forced to slay you as well,” Novashen uttered, though his threat felt a bit hollow on his own ears.

It was strange, why had the attacking warriors not said anything to him? They had issued no challenge, no threats, just attacked in their garishly colored clothing and curved blades. Did they seek to assassinate him? Yet he was only the second in line for the throne? Was his brother already dead? All those questions and more fluttered through Novashen's head as he tried to reason out why he had been attacked.

“Do you surrender?” Novashen asked of the remaining warrior, who even now was still holding his sword up in an aggressive stance.

Instead of responding to with words, the bandit responded with actions, reaching with his free hand into his pockets and throwing a glowing ball towards Novashen.

“What?!” Novashen exclaimed, desperately trying to twist out of the way of the glowing ball.

The Prince was too weak and to slow, the glowing ball impacting on his shoulder and bursting in a brilliant display of light, filling his vision with the brightest light he had ever seen, a light that seared his vision with stinging pain, that only faded away when the soothing embrace of unconsciousness took him.

Command codes accepted, unlocking ,were the first words he heard, accompanied by a strange whirring sound, that sounded somewhat similar to a drill that he had heard once before, slowly he opened his eyes, finding himself in a very tight, strange coffin like structure. Through a small pane of glass in front of him, he saw the retreating back of a figure with black hair.

“Who is that?” Novashen wondered, before a sudden flash of memories assaulted his mind, causing him to feel woozy.

All at once he remembered the bandits, his retainer dying, the multiple wounds he had sustained, and feeling his very life essence draining from his body, and finally the bright light that had caused him searing pain.

The door to his coffin slide upwards, at about the same time as the whirring sound he had heard stopped, with his sudden wooliness Novashen, stumbled forward out of his coffin, walking into a nearby metal table with a loud clang.

“Oooh, where am I?” the Prince spoke aloud, as he looked around at an unfamiliar setting.

All around him were, blinking lights, screens and various pieces of furniture, most of it seemingly constructed out of metal in a fashion he had never seen before, for where he came from most things were made from wood and stone.

The normally confident Prince was feeling very confused, and a little bit scared. The last thing he remembered was fighting, nearly dying, and a bright light. Now he was in a strange area surrounded by things he had never seen before.

“What happened?” the Prince thought, finding it hard to think through a painful throbbing that had arisen in his head. As he grimaced one of his eyes closed from the pain of the headache that had inflicted it upon him, it was strange but even through the pain he could feel a source of power a head of him, and he was just beginning to notice measurements appearing in front of his eyes, that appeared to be measuring various things around him, one such measurement was exactly how far from him that source of power was.

Sound waves detected, amplifying signature. The words appeared to write themselves in Novashen's mind, appearing as clear to him as the wall that was in front of him.

“What in the name of King Nova?” Novashen was very confused by everything that was happening to him.

"any bells. Who might you be, stranger?” Novashen heard the sound as if it was coming from right next to him, but somehow he knew that the voice he heard, male judging by the sound of it was coming from a head of him.

Gathering his wits about him, trying to concentrate through the pain in his head, Novashen decided it was time to introduce himself to whoever was speaking a head of him, as it was there were probably multiple people there, as people did not tend to speak to themselves.

“But this is a strange place, maybe they do that here?” Novashen pondered for a moment, before cautiously uttering the words “Hello?"

Emersion [OPEN, Just ask.] Empty Re: Emersion [OPEN, Just ask.]

Post by Nyx 7/3/2012, 9:59 pm

The unknown figure of the cyborg, who Nyx had yet to tab as such, was watched with careful scrutiny. He seemed human enough, but she was wise enough never to judge a book by it's cover. She had yet to master the ability to sense power levels, so until then, Nyx would have to rely on her instincts alone. They had served her well in the past, and they certainly would now. Ever so carefully, in the subtlest of movements, boot clad feet shifted her body so her back was no longer facing the wall of the lab. Now, in case the stranger before her decided to go on the attack, she could not be cornered. Strange, the way in which she worked, almost instinctively at times. But, being a natural born survivor and with threats constantly tailing her, could one honestly blame the girl for being ingrained with such a nature?

A few moments passed, and he began to come forward. This made her thankful of her slight change in position. Yet there she stood, in that same relaxed stance, as if he were hardly a threat to her. His voice filled the once vacant air again. “Something tells me you’re not the delicate flower you would appear to be.” Such flattery paired with such an accurate assumption. No matter, for it flew over her head unnoticed. "You are wise to go by your gut instinct..." She replied in that same voice, with it's quiet confidence. "I am anything but fragile, for you see, I have already been broken before." Nyx would let these eerie, mind puzzling words twist themselves around his artificial mind. For him to wrestle with and dissect, while their true meaning was held well at bay. Games of the mind were oh so fun, after all. And Nyx, was a master at them.

Much to her satisfaction, he had ceased his approach. Any closer and he would find out that she was not fond of being in close range to strangers. Especially those she perceived as a possible threat. He soon made it obvious why he had stopped, his icy eyes landing squarely on her hand wrapped around the buckle that sealed her bag shut. “What you got there?” Darkness still enveloped her, and all he could catch of her eyes was a fleeting flash of gold, paired with a wicked glimmer. "Nothing you would be interested in." Was her distant reply. Out from the worn, sturdy leather bag, she withdrew an item. In her hands it glinted a brilliant gunmetal silver in the dim light. To the common eye it would resemble a very high end compact disc player, in shape and in size. In truth, it was so much more than that. Smirking to herself inside, Nyx decided to test the cyborg. With what appeared to be without a care in the world, she lowered herself to the ground in a most casual and relaxed sitting position. The instant her fingertips touched the surface of her miniature super computer, a beep sounded, and she flicked the lid open. The inside of it doubled as the screen, while several simple keys lined the bottom. On the screen a message appeared: SECURITY BARRIER ENABLED.

With a few swift taps of her fingers, she converted the text from standard english, to that of a complex pattern of symbols, which resembled runes in style. An unknown alien language, the likes of which she understood perfectly. Quickly, she pressed another button, and without a sound, her little device performed a quick scan on him. This was so Nyx could get a better idea of who he was, or rather what he was, his genetic makeup, strengths, weaknesses and so forth. Once she was satisfied, she tucked the device away again, where curious hands wouldn't meddle with it. Sensing that she had his attention once again, Nyx rose to her feet. Being in a submissive position for very long was not something she enjoyed. “I’ve just about every one of Earth’s prominent fighters noted, yet you don’t seem to be ringing any bells. Who might you be, stranger?”

She smirked, an unseen grin. "Well that is because my...arrival is fairly recent. Or that I'm just good at remaining undetected." The time had come to pull back the curtains and reveal to him her name, along with a face to match. Slow, well timed steps carried her forth into the light, the shadows parting for her. Nyx was nothing short of striking, and appeared relatively human in appearance. Her height matched his own, her build was slender and strong, with gently toned muscles that were perfect for fast, hard striking. Her feet were clad in a pair of black boots, nothing fancy, while the jeans she wore were rugged yet stylish, boasting several rips in the fabric. A fitted purple tank top was worn under a pastel blue jacket, which also had a few rips in it to give it a well worn look. Her hair was loose, a mixture of fire and gold, stray strands gracing her forehead. She had a lovely face, but there was one feature that stood out prominently. Her eyes. They were of a blazing molten gold, as if forged from the very bowels of hell itself. Such a piercing, intense gaze, with that hint of something deadly behind them. What human could possess such a color? "My name is Nyx. Remember it well." Her voice was just above a whisper. Releasing his gaze from her entrancing hold, she looked away, in another direction.

Sounds were coming from there, as well as that of another voice. Nyx let the moments pass as she listened to the individual who seemed most confused indeed. She couldn't see him, as he was out of sight, but he was making enough noise. Perhaps another wanderer who had lost his way? Possible but doubtful, as the front entrance to the lab was the only one she could see within the immediate area. Hearing footsteps coming closer, and eventually a voice, Nyx arched a brow curiously. “Hello?" Turning, she faced the source partially, but still kept an eye on 17, who's name she did not ask for. "Well, it looks like we have company." She muttered, addressing the black haired, blue eyed cyborg.

Emersion [OPEN, Just ask.] Empty Re: Emersion [OPEN, Just ask.]

Post by Cyborg 17 7/4/2012, 3:51 am

"You are wise to go by your gut instinct..."

The highly skeptical and somewhat entertained Seventeen listened with the intent of catching each word for what it was. Gut instinct, she called it. Whatever that was, perhaps it was wise to listen to it in the future. Really, he wasn’t so much listening to anything. More than anything, he was putting forth his most valiant effort to resist lunging forward and grinding her into the mountains jagged and unforgiving walls. His arms remained folded, as he was becoming more and more amused by this character. Her tone helped to peak his interest in what she might have to say or do. "I am anything but fragile, for you see, I have already been broken before."

His perception of the phrase was carried in various directions. The cyborg wondered if she meant that in a literal form or if she was heading towards some sort of innuendo. These humans sure did love their word play and often times got carried away with it. As quick of a mind he’d been given, his mechanical half often skipped all of the semantics and dove straight for the point. Either way, he dismissed the statement and continued examining her person. No reason to dwell on words, when action were more his speed.

"Nothing you would be interested in." she responded to his inquiry as to what she might’ve been reaching for.

How the hell would she know what my interests are?

Her eyes. An odd shade of gold, catching the sunlight in an awe-inspiring fashion. Almost as empty as his own. Though, they revealed far more about her than she might have realized. While he was sure she was vessel of some sort, he was unsure as to what she might be carrying within.

Still, he watched as she revealed a rather small device. It’s purpose was unknown to him, but he looked on with ease and mere curiosity with his arms still casually folded across his chest as she gently lowered herself into a prone position. After she’d laid the device out and tapped it a few times, she appeared to examine what he had assumed was a screen. Judging by the time she took to look it over before rising back to her feet, he had surmised that he himself had just been examined.

The amusement continued, prompting Seventeen to slightly raise an eyebrow at the display he had just witnessed. These organics sure have it rough. Seems like a lot to go through just to get some data.

Listening on to her replies as they exchanged words, he waited for the reply to his final inquiry as to what she might call herself. "My name is Nyx. Remember it well."

Seventeen shrugged his shoulders lightly as he cocked his head to the side and rolled his eyes over to the side while letting out a somewhat feigned sigh. Finally, a break in all of the seriousness implied by their exchange and a chance to poke some fun at something. Being cooped up with an old dust bag for what felt like centuries sure did leave one bitter and begging for fun in any form.

“Whatever you say.. uh.. what was that, again.. Sticks.. Bricks.. Wait, no.. was it.. Tricks!”

He teased for a bit longer, as if to draw out his fun while he contemplated taking her on as an opponent or just shooing her away. The first option was looking more and more likely, however. As the saying goes, dead men tell no tales. With that in mind, he certainly did not need any more nosey explorers happening themselves upon an unguarded laboratory containing his future allies. Before he could come to his final conclusion, he faintly heard sounds. Sounds which were almost familiar in an oddly unfamiliar way, emanated from just behind him inside the laboratory. The voice almost gave him chills, had he been capable of such.

”Hello?

Nyx’s next few words were muffled out by the clamouring sound of the confused Seventeen’s own thoughts. He could hardly wrap his head around what he was witnessing. As positive as he was that there was only Eighteen, Sixteen and himself left to be released, he completely overlooked the possibility of another project. Carelessness at it’s finest. Surely a mistake to be noted and learned from. What the hell.. I thought I set that timer for..

He continued to ponder as he turned over his shoulder to see the source. A blonde man of a sort of formal stature with a look of complete and utter misplacement upon his face. The look was a familiar one, indeed. Seventeen likened it to the feeling he himself felt when he had first woken up in this very lab to see an old, cryptic and wrinkled face peering down at him into his coffin. It was a moment not to be forgotten so long as he functioned.

How the HELL did I manage to miss one?!

Without turning his back on the woman now known as Nyx, he angled his body so that he could get a clear view of the newly awakened brethren of Gero’s experimentation. “I’m not sure what the old bastard called you, but welcome to the brotherhood.”

When speaking of the brotherhood, he referred to the case in which they were all implanted with a mission in mind. However, being that many of the projects were incomplete much like himself, it was likely that this one was not programmed with that same objective. However, with any luck, this one knew where he stood in this world.

Emersion [OPEN, Just ask.] Empty Re: Emersion [OPEN, Just ask.]

Post by Novashen 7/4/2012, 10:15 pm

Still confused by the odd appearance of the chamber he was in, a flurry of thoughts was going through his mind about the identities of the people in front of him, doing nothing to ease the look of confusion etched on his face. Novashen decided that it was best to be cautious while dealing with the two people he saw in front of him.

“After all they are probably enemies,” the Prince's eyes narrowed for just a moment in recognition of the potential danger he was in.

As he was standing there thinking, the strange man with black hair turned to face him, allowing Novashen to see that his eye color was blue, his facial features seemed sharp, certainly well chiseled, so he had to be someone of high breeding.

“Indeed, he seems a man of confidence, intelligence and is that a hint of arrogance?”

The woman was also an interesting creature , while the man had the features of any typical being that he was used to, the woman had fascinating eyes. He paid exceptional attention to her, attracted to her fit well muscled boy, though her clothing appeared worn, like that of the peasants he was used to seeing, it was her eyes that captivated him, a kind of molten gold that seemed to stare into the depth of his soul, lighting a small blaze of emotion, at least for just a moment until he once again was sobered by the thought that this vision of beauty could possibly be an enemy. There was something wild about her features, and the Prince had the sense that she was a free spirit, though oddly he felt the slightest tinges of suffering whenever he gazed upon her.

“Though she outshines the beauty of many a princess I have met,” the Prince thought.

After a moment of staring, the confused Prince's right eye brow raised even further, as more confusion came over him, looking over the two strange beings in front of him, he realized that their garb was far different then anything he was used to. The materials appeared to be made from something other then, molded rock, or magically altered steel, instead they seemed softer, and the styles! The cut of their clothing was odd indeed, his people favoring clothing that covered arms and legs so as to offer better protection, they seemed content to have mostly their upper torsos covered leaving their arms bare.

It seemed that man in front of him was the quicker of the two, or perhaps the leader as he addressed Novashen first, “I’m not sure what the old bastard called you, but welcome to the brotherhood.”

“The old bastard?” Novashen replied, his green eyes still showing a measure of puzzlement which was obvious by the way his eyes tightened ever so slightly as he started trying to make sense of his situation.

“Well, at least this one does not seem aggressive and if he is the leader then this beauty before me should be friendly as well. What is this brotherhood that he speaks of though?” the Prince thought, his stance relaxing a bit as he realized that the two beings in front of him were not opponents.

Feeling less cautious, Novashen walked around the metal table that was between him and the pair in front of him, his stride full emitting an aura of confidence, as a being who is used to being revered and in command of others it was easy for natural for him to feel confident in front of strangers, for surely they would recognize his royal stature?

Though the Prince had not yet realized it himself, he was wearing clothing similar to the two in front of him, a pair of blue jeans very similar to the dark haired humans and a simple long skin tight shirt with long sleeves, a pair of gray running shoes on his feet. His own unique features were his strong jaw line, and dashing features, possessing the mannerism of royalty, with a pinch of youthful energy.

Once he was positioned closer to the two, having casually walked over so that he could view and speak with the man and the captivating woman at the same time he asked, “Greetings, I am Prince Novashen. What is this brotherhood that you speak of, and does it involved anything with this captivating beauty before us?” Novashen bowed slightly towards the molten eyed woman as he spoke.

Emersion [OPEN, Just ask.] Empty Re: Emersion [OPEN, Just ask.]

Slowly, bit by bit, her mood was changing. No mechanical humanoid could detect that with their sensors. This transition was kept hidden, tucked away beneath her calm exterior. It would be at her whim when she chose to let her true emotions be revealed, and to what extent. This game she played.... Even though she often grew irritated, Nyx took the greatest pleasure in surprising her counterparts when she changed in a fraction of a second. From a calm, somewhat arrogant and perhaps harmless nobody, to one of the most wicked, fatally unpredictable and bloodlusting individuals who walked the earth. Frankly, she didn't know whether to be amused or disgusted when her victims pissed their pants in horror.

After her introduction, Nyx started to come to a conclusion. That 17, so far, was proving to be quite dull in personality. Now he proved her wrong, with his teasing and rhyming of her name. “Whatever you say.. uh.. what was that, again.. Sticks.. Bricks.. Wait, no.. was it.. Tricks!” So he did have a sense of humor, huh? The skin around her eyes flinched ever so slightly, but she allowed the smallest of smirks to touch her lips. "Oh, and what about you?" She queried, while taking a glance back at the coffin from which he had emerged. Step by step, she began her game, letting the finest edges of a more intimidating, yet playful air about her, all wrapped together, form around her.

Closer she moved, slowly circling him with even, calm steps. It was as if she was sizing him up, but she showed no signs of tensing up. No signs of attacking. Then in one swift, sudden movement that was too fast for perhaps even his eyes to see, she swept in, bringing her face dangerously close to his. Just a sample of her unparalleled speed. Wearing a playful smirk that revealed a set of moderately sized, sharp fangs. Another inhuman feature. "Surely being named after a number is most entertaining. I could go on for ages guessing what it was!" Snickering, she pulled away, proof that she did indeed have a witty, playful side like him.

All fun and games were tossed aside, her attention diverting back to the source of the unfamiliar voice. But she still had to keep tabs on 17. To her satisfaction, the stranger finally showed himself. He appeared to have emerged from one of those coffin like chambers as well, but was in a state of confusion. Sharp gold eyes flicked over him briefly. He was tall, good looking with white hair and brown eyes. But all of this meant nothing to Nyx, and she remained impassive. Even while he took them both in, her in particular. “I’m not sure what the old bastard called you, but welcome to the brotherhood.” Glancing once back at 17, she smirked. Now she was positive this was not one of her target locations. It was something else.

“The old bastard?”
With a glint in her eye, and a playful one at that, Nyx spoke to wipe away any of his confusion. "Of course. That would be this fellow here..." Wandering away a few steps, she without so much as a flinch, reached down and grabbed the decapitated head of the old man by the hair, and held it up for Novashen to behold. Her lovely facial features took on a wicked quality, whilst she smirked, and then thrust her fist into the skull, bursting it open in spray of blood. Pleased with her work, and not even disturbed in the slightest that some blood had gotten on her, she dropped the remains to the ground, while something akin to a satisfied growl stirred in her chest.

Returning her attention to Novashen, who was walking closer, Nyx was once again calm. He seemed to want to speak with herself and 17. “Greetings, I am Prince Novashen. What is this brotherhood that you speak of, and does it involved anything with this captivating beauty before us?” Once again, his words of flattery went unnoticed. Instead she crossed her arms and huffed. "Hardly, Novashen. I am in no way associated with this place. I arrived only moments before you...appeared." Knowing not of this "brotherhood", she would let 17 elaborate on that part, should he choose.

Emersion [OPEN, Just ask.] Empty Re: Emersion [OPEN, Just ask.]

Novashen waited patiently for the lovely vision before him to finish her speech, not wanting to be one to interrupt. Then half way through her speech she bent done and picked up what looked like a decapitated head, one with weird things sticking out from the torn neck, though he was horrified to see the maiden pick up the head, that was nothing to her crushing it, nothing to seeing her lovely face twist into a malicious vision of evil one that would make a demon pale and quiver.

"Hardly, Novashen. I am in no way associated with this place. I arrived only moments before you...appeared," the evil looking woman sneered.

The Prince's face tightened a bit at her actions and her words, both seemingly filled with cruelty. This had not been what he was expecting, at first he had thought he might be able to find an Angel and a friend in this strange new world. Those hopes and dreams had just been shattered, like a rock flying through a glass pane sending shards of pain through his body. His mood darkened as his hopes faded.

"I shall not waste any more time here, not when this villian draws breath here," Novashen said, his voice filled with disappointment, anger and hopelessness. It was an odd tone, one that might make someone withdraw in fear of him lashing out.

His eyes looked down the tunnel in which Nyx had seemed to come from, easily penetrating the dark depths before him with the little light that existed, it unsettled Novashen that his vision was so much sharper now, for no easily explained reason. Perhaps something had been done to him while he was passed out?

Without pause he turned and left, striding down the dark tunnel with confidence as his newly enhanced vision allowed him to see easily. He wondered for a brief moment what the fellow known as '17' and 'Nyx' would do now that his back was turned, he could only hope he could react in time as he walked away.

Minutes later his stride had carried him away from the pair, bright warm light washing over his skin for the first time in what felt like years.

“I forgot what it felt like... why? How long have I been unconscious for?” Novashen wondered, as he stood on the edge of a cliff. While his own memory made it seem like the sun had warmed his skin just a day ago, the way the sun felt upon his skin made him think it had really been much longer.

Though he did not want to wait on the cliffs edge much longer, doing so might invite disaster from the two he had left behind. Jumping down from the cliff he stood upon, counting on his above average strength and skill to prevent him injuring himself, yet strangely enough he only fell for a brief moment and instead he found himself floating on thin air, a strange sensation filling his body.

“What is this?” the Prince thought slightly bewildered by all of the changes that were happening to him in such a short time.

Not wanting to be floating on air, he thought about himself falling downwards and sure enough he began to descend from the skies, floating gently upon the wind. It was the beginning of a new adventure for him.
