Re: Kaio-Ken
After entering the Frozen Depths, Tasuda couldn't figure out why hell was pictured as fire and brimstone. Pools of lava and unbearable heat. The freezing was so much harsher. He wasn't sure if he came into this place during a blizzard, or if this was how it normally was, but even with forcing his energy to heat him up, it was still freezing.
He had landed on a thick sheet of ice, his arms inside his orange and blue gi King Kai had given him. He channeled his energy so the aura fought against the cold, but it was only keeping him from freezing into a Popsicle. Flying was impossible as the wind blew too hard and the higher up one was, the colder it got. Besides, there was a spiritual barrier that he couldn't get through.
He reached the end of the ice field, and before him was nothing but snowy banks as far as the eye could see, which wasn't far in the white out. The walk was hard forcing Tasuda to hover, but that was worst. Letting out a sigh, he brought his hands back and channeled his ki. White orbs glowed brightly before thrusting them forward. The wave of energy tore through the snowy landscape creating a torrent of snow momentarily. Soon it was done and a wide path awaited him.
The trek was taking a lot out of him, having to clear a path every ten minutes was taxing, plus the constant flow of energy that he had to utilize to keep him warm. The snow didn't let up, nor were there any caverns that he could see. He knew he was dead, but how could anyone last down here? Even in death this was painfully difficult to deal with.
"Hey! This way!"
The voice came from Tasuda's right. He peered through the storm but saw nothing. The voice repeated, telling him to follow his voice. Breaking from the path that he was following, he trudged through the hip deep snow. Soon a figure emerged, black in the storm, but an arm was waving.
Soon he made it and before him was a heavily scarred Namekian in what looked to be fur skins. Behind him was a snow cave, probably something he had made.
"Come in. Get warm. You've arrived at the worst time."
Tasuda thanked the Namekian and followed him inside where a small fire was going. The heat was immediate. The stranger handed him a white fur blanket and told him to sit down on a fur rug near the fire. Soon the coldness melted from him and Tasuda was content.
"Thank you. I wasn't sure what I was going to do."
The stranger chuckled. "At least you can't die right? There are ways to get warm, but not many. The fact you can use energy helps. So... what brought you down here?"
Tasuda watched the Namekian as he aw down, his eyes sparkling in the fire light. Was he one of the Super Nameks? "I actually was sent here to train."
"Train? What for? There's not much to train for, and certainly this is the worst place to train."
