After a meeting with some of the Crane School's students, Subazerot headed straight for Martha's and slept for the next day. The changeling woke up startled and surprised. Rather than seeing the ceiling of his room as he opened his eyes, what he saw was the blue sky in the morning with the leaves of towering trees in his sight.

He sat and stood up as quickly as he could. He turned around over and over again, trying to find the house. Maybe it was near, maybe he just sleep walked, he was worried that this was not the case. All around him were a variety of trees, bushes and plants, and gleaming eyes of beasts from the shadows. Where the heck am I? he thought, confused of his surroundings, if this was a trick then its not that funny for the small alien.

Then, just from the shadows, a young man with sunglasses came into the light and in the sight of the changeling. It was Master Roshi, still wearing his very same clothing, beach shirt and shorts with sandals. But he was rather different this time, panting, breathing heavily and his garments in tatters, it's like he have been attacked by wild animals. He had a look on his face that said he have been fighting all day and all night.

Subazerot looked on in awe, What have had happened to go to this, what did I miss?. The hermit was opening his mouth and about to say something, but then something roared from behind the changeling, something big. The hermit's expression changed to worry and anger, seriousness came from the intense atmosphere around them. The alien wanted to turn around and look at what's behind him, but then, his body felt heavy, like every part of him was being pulled to the ground. He couldn't even move a limb.

The hermit dashed to the direction of the beast, passing right beside him. The ground under the changeling shook as he heard the clashing of two great forces, it was probably the air pressure from their strikes. It made him chill down to his spine from fear and excitement. Each time there was a small shockwave, the trees shook and the rubble and other things on the ground was blown away. Whoever or whatever was Roshi fighting was strong, strong enough to last even a minute against his master, he had to know what was going on behind him. Unfortunately, he can't even turn his head around for just a glance.
After each clash, he heard the roar of the giant creature and the battle cry of the Turtle Hermit. Then, after another minute, the roars stopped. He guessed that this was the victory of his master. The only thing he heard from behind him was the panting, heavy breathing, even more heavy than when the man had showed himself.

Subazerot then felt a hand patting him on the shoulder, a rather stiff and cold hand. By this time, he was slowly regaining his movement. He forced himself to turn and saw that the hand was bruised, scratched and was dripping blood. Then, his sights set on Roshi. The hermit had been injured, a slash on his right shoulder and he was bleeding in a lot of places. He had his head down, breathing, trying to get his composure back.
Subazerot was in shock, he couldn't even get himself to say something.

"Hey kid, how much do you remember?" his master asked.

Still surprised, he couldn't bring himself to question the man and just answered. "Uh, I remember leaving your isle at night, getting home, reaching my room, and then sleeping. That's all I remember".

Wait, first day? Washed out? Subazerot was puzzled. What was his master talking about? He forced himself to completely turn his body around, using up most of his energy in doing so. From behind the hermit was a large monster, a huge 10 feet tall pitch-black colored dog-like beast that had a large horn on the middle of its forehead and a long tail that had spiked protrusions on it.
The Turtle Hermit had fought that thing? He gets more and more amazing in the sight of the alien. Roshi then lifts his head up. Although surprising, he was grinning. The man was grinning even though he looked like he was half-dead.

The bleeding man then spoke, "Let me tell you something. You boy...". He stopped for a second, probably from the effect of his wounds, to balance himself as Roshi was still a little groggy, wobbling around as he stood. He then continued, "..have just lost the memory of your precious first day of training, hehehe. Too bad for you eh kid".

Roshi then stood up straight, looked into the changeling's eyes, and said "Come on, we need to get you back your memory. Figured you might want to recall at least that much".

Subazerot was still far too stunned. There were so many things he wanted to ask and the only response he could give was a weak "O-okay?".

The hermit turned to his right and just started walking. The alien couldn't do anything but follow. As they walked, the changeling was just in awe, he still hadn't gotten hold of the situation that much, and him just following his bleeding master in the middle of nowhere wasn't exactly helping. In a few minutes, the two reached a dark cavern.
Each step echoed and resonated along the corridors and unseeable path of the cave. The alien put his left hand on the wall as they walked, his skin touching the slippery wall. He couldn't even see anything, neither what was in front nor back could be described other than the pitch black darkness and void. He only followed the footsteps he heard from Roshi. In a few minutes, Subazerot finally reached light.

A room, he had reached a large room with shining walls, probably embedded with crystals and diamonds as they were sticking out. There in front of the alien, in the center of the room, Roshi was sitting, meditating on the floor with his eyes closed, his sunglasses on top of his hands on his lap. The blood from his recent battle(and probably a few others) from his cuts, had spread on his clothes. The changeling shivered, the wounds and blood had reminded him of what he felt before, fear from behind him, and the sight of the beast. It made him feel fear again.
The young alien gripped his left shoulder with his right hand. He wanted to reassure himself that it's over now, let it go.

The changeling opened his mouth, trying to speak up, trying to ask what was going on, only to be cut off by the hermit. "You don't need to say anything. I'll explain everything, so just sit in front on me", he said, his eyes still closed, like the man knew of what the alien's pleas and questions would be.

He had no choice, he just obeyed Roshi and sat. The hermit then opened his eyes and looked straight into Subazerot's, which made the young alien remember something in flashes, in the blur of both pitch black darkness and blinding light- a group of bird-like creatures with trunks in place of beaks, a pack of dog-like beasts that looked like they were the same as the one that the hermit knocked out, only a lot bigger, each of them being at least twice the size of the one he saw, and a few other kinds of things that weren't that easy to describe, even more than to recall.
As he came back to reality, the changeling shook his head in a mixture of confusion, surprise, and disbelief. He didn't know of what to make of this. Subazerot could've protested and asked what he had seen were if not for Roshi, who then grabbed the alien's head with both of his hands on each side. The hermit still locked his sights on the student. Roshi then spoke, "Here's what's gonna happen, our "meditation" session will help restore your memories, no matter what you think they will be or even if you don't believe it, they did happen".

After telling this the man then closed his eyes again and tightened his grip on Subazerot's head. Trusting his master's words, he too closed his eyes. At first it was the same thing that happened, the darkness, light, and blur of various beasts. Then, it happened, flashes of different events, different places. His memories were coming back!

To be continued.....
