Above the Clouds

Easy Quest

Requirements: None

Reward: 1,000 Zeni

A storm looms on the horizon. Far above Earth in the heavens themselves, resides a cloud created by the gods. But one can not simply fly up and claim their prize. The clouds that surround the artifact are almost impenetrable by mortals. Find a way through.
Cell finally emerged from the thick forest that he had been inhabiting for such a long time. He was glad to be away from the smell of growing trees and the sound of scurrying animals. It had annoyed him to such a degree that he decided to kill a few things on his way out. Of course, now behind him laid broken and burned trees, dead animals with nice round puncture holes. He had even left a few of them "deflated" thanks to having his tail back. He never again wanted to have to taste the flesh of an animal. As good as it felt to devour them in that manner, it tasted terrible. He wondered exactly how humans ate them on a regular basis. Disgusting creatures, humans.

Looking around, he couldn't see anything worth noting in sight for at least a few miles. He almost pitied humans, having to walk most places if they could not afford one of those flying machines. He thought they called it a 'car' but he didn't care enough to keep it memorized for certain. After all the reason he didn't pity them was because he saw them, for the most part, as worthless creatures. Worthless creatures that would be food for him at some point or another.

Considering the fact that he didn't care to walk anywhere at all anymore, he decided to try flying again. It hadn't been too long, so it shouldn't be a problem. In actuality, it wasn't a problem at all. His body naturally knew how to fly thanks to all the genes inside it, as well as thanks to Gero's construction of his body. His body lifted off of the ground with a mere thought, and soon he was above the forest. He briefly considered raining down a torrent of energy upon it, simply because he was feeling malicious.

The reason he did not, was because he had decided that if something did not benefit him, he would not do it. While destroying this place would give him a good deal of fun and pleasure, it would also draw attention to himself. He didn't want that just yet. Sighing a bit as he decided to leave the place intact. Well, as intact as it could be considering the path of death and charred remains he had left in his wake. He noted he would have to work on that.

Looking skyward he rose quickly. He noticed a dark storm cloud as it moved closer. He shrugged a bit to himself, wondering why he even noticed it to begin with. He felt a strange tug in that direction. His instincts felt something awry there, which meant it might be something he could benefit from, or make worse inconspicuously. He flew in that direction at relatively low speeds. Only about fifty miles per hour. The ground under him looked about as boring as he figured it would. After all, there wasn't a god damn thing down there. If there was, he might just blow it up for being out of place.

He was just about to let out another bored sigh when something...strange happened. His head slammed into a slightly darkened cloud. It stopped him in his tracks and caused his eyes to go wide. He clutched at his head as he floated backwards a bit. He let out three simple words filled with anger and hate.

"WHAT THE FUCK!?"

He screamed this loudly as the throbbing in his head began to subside. So first he comes out of a cave covered in his own blood after eating four wolves, and the first thing of interest he comes across is a hardened cloud? A hard...fucking...cloud. He was absolutely livid, but he managed to push those feelings down somewhere deep inside his soul. He figured he could unleash them on someone at a later point in time, though he doubted they would understand him screaming at them about a hard cloud. He didn't care, he planned to kill whoever it was anyways.

He floated closer to the cloud now, as difficult to see as it was considered he was surrounded by so many of the damned fluffy things. He hated this planet sometimes, he really did. It always seemed to throw cute and pleasant things at him. Like it was trying to torture his mind until he broke and become nothing more than a useless lump of catatonic meat. Wasn't it bad enough he was back to looking like a bug?

The sudden loud crack of thunder brought him from his thoughts and back to his investigation of this...hardened cloud...He took a few moments and put his foot onto the thing. He used his ki to support his weight as he did while he flew. He took walked for a few minutes, grumbling about the fact that he was once again walking. Now on something completely ridiculous. It was then that he noticed something odd. He was no longer supporting himself with his ki. He was walking on top of it evenly, almost as if it was flat. Looking down, he noticed that it had some give to it, but not much.

He lifted his leg and foot up, and then brought it down hard onto the cloud. It didn't budge a bit past what it had before, and now Cell's foot hurt some. This cloud was asking to be blown out of the god damn sky. Considering it was a cloud in the middle of a storm, he didn't think it would draw any unwanted attention to him. More to the point, it would make him feel a bit better. Considering this, he jumped up and floated above the large cloud for a few moment, before extending his right hand.

He could feel the energy inside his body moving slowly towards his palm. It gave a warming affect, feeling pleasant and comforting. Of course to Cell this was comforting because it meant something he was aiming at was about to be incinerated or at least blow to bits. Soon an orb of ki formed in his hand. It was small but growing steadily. Soon it was the size of a volleyball, and packed with energy.

With a simple grunt, he pushed it forward with a surge of energy. It soared towards it's target at high speeds. Cell expected it to explode upon impact and give him a nice show and a satisfying result. He was disappointed greatly. Why? Because the orb hit the cloud, it gave in a bit, and then stopped. It sprang back up a bit, and bounced around on top of his target for a moment. The anger he felt was nearly warping the area around him. He hated this cloud, and he hated that damned orb of energy.

He pointed his index finger at the orb and said "DIE!" before launching a small purple beam of energy forward. It would impact the orb and pierce through it. Unbeknownst to Cell, it would pierce the cloud as well, and leave a tiny hole in which the mighty explosion of the orb would expand greatly. Cell's face held the closest thing to a smug grin his beak could preform. That is to say, it looked exactly the same. Expressing emotion was hard for a bug.

Then his eyes took a glazed over appearance. The cloud was still there, but now it had a hole in it. That meant it was hollow. Cell was completely at a loss for anything to say, he didn't feel satisfied, he just said "Fuck it." and floated down into the cloud. Once there, he noted something strange.

Well, besides the fact that he was on the inside of a hollow cloud that somehow had the durability of steel as an outer cover. While it seemed pretty much empty, he noticed a body on the ground. Kneeling down in front of it, it suddenly coughed blood. There was a neat little round hole through the man's left lung and it was still smoking. Cell suddenly laughed heartily, he was completely amused that he had somehow still managed to kill someone. He had to be the most effecient killer on the planet. He broke into this place, while at the exact same moment killing someone he would have killed anyways. Fantastic.

The man looked up at him, his eyes wide. He obviously did not have long to live, and was seeing Cell just as a silhouette. "Help me." he said weakly. Cell then someone call behind him.

"Hey! Who the hell are you!? What are you doing here!?" He yelled loudly. Cell wished he could still give his smug smile, it was so ominous and foreboding. He quickly stabbed his tail into the back of the head of the man who laid in front of him. The strange cracking sound cause by his tail piercing and fracturing the skull as it made its way into his brain, destroying the occipital and frontal lobes was found to be pleasant. He had made sure to miss the mans brain stem, so that his heart would remain beating for a short time.

He lifted him up by his skull and turned to greet the rude man who yelled at him. His tail began to do it's work as it devoured the person he had accidentally 'shot' with his Death Beam. It made a loud and noticeable slurping sound as it did. It had never done that before, but the Creation of Gero did not mind. It would probably serve to further disorientate and scare the newcomer.

"Me? Oh, I'm just having a little Snack...Care to join me?" He said, his eyes narrowing into an foreboding glare
