Land of Opportunity Empty Re: Land of Opportunity

"Essence of the Templars; Bane of Earth!" Kami thrust his staff at Vegeta, silvery light pouring from the magical artifact and spinning rapidly towards Vegeta. The Prince focused, channeling all of his anger, all of his pride, into his core, combining them with his Ki. Steam began to rise from the Prince's body, his hair sticking up like it was being electrified. His pupils shrank as he focused the boiling Ki through his veins, through his skin. Kami channeled his elemental energy forth, the silvery tornado building higher and higher as it moved closer and closer to the Saiyan Prince.

The ground under Vegeta was beginning to char as he continued to channel his own designated element- Fire. He'd had little success with it thus far, but according to Kami, it wouldn't be hard once he got it right once. Meanwhile, Kami seemed to be able to produce just about any element he wanted; today's just happened to be wind. The Ki-tornado uprooted multiple trees as it grew, and would have drug Vegeta from the ground, if not for the balls and chains holding down his legs and arms, stopping him from evading the twister. He'd tried moving without the power up Kami had been trying to shove down his throat, but it seemed that the chains and weights only grew heavier as he struggled. The two had been doing this daily for weeks, Kami altering positions with Popo when he grew tired. Only for a few hours did Vegeta get a chance to rest, when both of them were too pooped to unleash any more attacks.

"I'm the prince...of all Saiyans," Vegeta said, his voice hushed from the strain of the weights and fire energy. "I...will not...be...HUMILIATED!" The last word- humiliated- evolved into an elongated scream, energy pouring from his body and forming a shield around him. Energy crackled along his dome, dragging it out towards the twister until the two clashed. Kami's twister reacted to the shield by lunging at it, trying to pierce it. However, Vegeta's shield held strong, and eventually forced the twister to disperse. As the wind died, Vegeta's scream faded with the shield, and he collapsed to hands and knees. He was still steaming, but the fire energy was quickly fading, his hair returning to its normal shape. Sweat dripped from the Prince's chin as he took a few deep breaths, casting his eyes up towards Kami.

"You failed to execute the Flaming Aura, Saiyan. Wise use of the Kiai Shield, nonetheless; for your quick thinking, I'll give you a three day reprieve. Do with it what you will." The Guardian turned, entering his home and most likely locking the doors. Vegeta sat there for a while longer, before Kami appeared in the top window, pointing a hand down at him. With a short flash of light, the chains and weights vanished, allowing the Prince to his feet. He took a quick look around the tower- which had magically repaired itself again- before igniting a blue aura and speeding as far away from the Lookout as possible. He stopped only briefly, just outside the Sacred Lands, to blast a small deer and clear a boulder sized pond of fish.

Later that evening, the Prince sat by a blue fire created from Ki, yanking flesh off a cooked and cleaned fish with his teeth. He'd put one of the deer into a sort of stew, which had made a wonderful appetizer, and the other into deer-steaks, most of which he finished alongside the stew. The few leftover deer steaks, he salted and stuffed in a bag to sell to whatever small town might be in the area. The fish- about twenty total- were almost all gone, and had made for a wonderful post-dinner snack. He'd heated some water with Ki for a drink to wash everything down towards the end, then finally settled down in a patch of soft Earth...Which, as you'd probably figure by now, had been cleared with Ki.

Needless to say, the Prince hadn't been happy when he'd arrived.

Humiliated by a slimy green slug and a Lamp Dwelling, pot-bellied, pajama wearing male Jinx...This is getting out of hand. With Korin, it didn't take more than a few days to access his secrets and gain his power...But I've been training under Kami for nearly a month and learned virtually nothing! Pah...That's it. The only way I'll get any stronger at this point is the way all Saiyans should! I need to fight, and I need to fight hard.

His first day off from Kami's training began the next day, meaning Vegeta had a rather small amount of time to pummel whatever fools got in his way. He doused the fire with a weak wave of Ki, gathered the two bags he'd brought from his current hideout, and sped off in the direction of civilization. The way the Prince figured it, finding a fight wouldn't be hard, especially in the middle of Spring. Surely some meat head was willing to be murdered.

Land of Opportunity Empty Re: Land of Opportunity

The Prince landed somewhere in the deeper regions of Mt. Paozu- a good distance from Kakarot's home, and closer to the coast than to the inside of the continent. His blue aura dispersed, causing his hair to stop waving. His tail flowed lazily in the ocean breeze, salt stinging the Prince's face. Unblinking, Vegeta examined the rocky beach with interest, taking notice of the fact it was relatively unpopulated- except for a few footprints, a tent, and a couple of impressively sized boulders and, surprisingly, trees, piled up next to it. He set down his bags, digging through one until he pulled out a red scouter- it was old, and he hadn't used it since a his first few weeks on Earth, but it seemed likely that the thing would work. He clipped it onto his ear and pressed one of a few buttons, then waited for the Scouter to finish recording.

Ten thousand strong...

Without much further thought, Vegeta pointed his left arm at the tent, not even bothering to charge. The Big Bang Cannon drilled into the sand in front of the tent, exploding in what should have been a harmless explosion to someone of such a power level. The smoke cleared quickly enough, revealing a glassy ground, a torn apart and ruined tent, and a furious looking caramel colored man in his early forties. He shook loose a head of shaggy black hair, then turned his deep brown eyes on Vegeta, staring down at the Saiyan past a bulbous nose. The prince cocked his head ever so slightly, then tossed his Scouter at the Bulbous-ly nosed man.

"Put that on your head and press the red button. When I say stop, press it again and read the numbers to me."

"But what about your blasting my big brilliantly colored tent?" Vegeta flinched at each annoyingly pronounced b, feeling his anger rise. He crouched down a bit, clenching his fists and drawing on all of his energy. He heard the bulbous-ly nosed man click the button, then let his energy loose. His blue aura flared bright, kicking sand high into the air, even shaking the boulders a bit. The water rippled, the waves increasing in size ever so slightly.

He felt himself nearing his maximum, and became frustrated. This was still no where near the level of the Super Saiyan, whom by now had far exceeded anything within his reach. Vegeta felt the frustration flow into his Ki, pushing it higher, felt his body tense and expand in muscular mass ever so slightly. The pain generated more anger, which flowed into his energy as well. All of the frustration he'd felt at Kami returned, and as the final shove of emotions joined his natural Ki, the Prince snapped.

Searing pain ripped through his body, reminding him of the transformation into an Oozaru. His muscles expanded by three inches, his hair standing on end. Blazing white flames ripped through and around him, turning the sand at his feet to glass. The Prince was a mere silhouette, glaring ahead at the bulbous-ly nosed fighter, who assumed it was time to "stop."

"The number reads about forty eight thousand. What's the big deal about it?"

"What's your name, old man?" He felt and sounded cockier than ever, the flames distorting his voice to sound much more demonic than it was. He was starting to feel some strain from keeping the fire from searing him, but holding that kind of power...

"Pocky, of the Bulbnosa clan!"

"Wrong. It's Pocky, of the Full Body Cast!"

Vegeta practically vanished, flames tailing him as he sped towards Pocky. His knee dug deep into the fighter's chest, burning his entire front to the third degree. Pocky stepped back, screaming in pain, while Vegeta floated after him. The Prince floated just a few inches above and in front of Bulbnosa, the flames still blazing around him. He flipped backwards, slamming his feet into the poor man's chin and sending him flying into the ocean, where steam rose. Bulbnosa screamed again as the salt water cleansed his wounds. He would live, though it would be a good long while before he would train again.

Vegeta finally let the flames die off, and was surprised to see his clothes were perfectly in tact. Smoke rose from his body, and his body temperature had risen dramatically. Otherwise, though, there was nothing seriously wrong with him after using the Flaming Aura. He examined the remains of the campsite, and decided to ride out the remainder of the night there. He set up camp next to where Bulbnosa had placed his tent, using the boulders and trees to make a crappy looking rock-and-bark tent. The Prince settled in for the night, using what remained of the Deer Stakes and fish to settle his suddenly rumbling stomach.

"It's been a while since I've used the training equipment back at Capsule Corp...That should be a better gauge of my current maximum than the old model scouter..." a yawn interrupted his aside, but he managed to continue afterwards, before passing into sleep. "With luck, that woman won't pester me with baths and clothing this time..." He shuddered, changing his mind. "I'll just wing it..."
