A storm looms on the horizon. Far above Earth in the heavens themselves, resides a cloud created by the gods. But one can not simply fly up and claim their prize. The clouds that surround the artifact are almost impenetrable by mortals. Find a way through.

Last time on Dragon Ball Z Infinitive. Piccolo has made his return after the events of Dragon Ball where he suffered defeat by the hands of Goku. Piccolo soon found himself at Kami's Lookout looking to trick Kami into training him. Kami despite of being aware of his other half's scheme agreed to train Piccolo. Under one circumstance, he catch the robust genie Mr. Popo. After a long grueling game of cat and mouse, Piccolo succeeds.


Far above the clear skies of the cold frigged northern mountains. Dark clouds gather a storm looms over the horizon of the earth. Up above in the heavens resides a cloud created by the gods of old. Something of immense power lays above, a relic of some sort.

Meditating once more during his intense training regiment, Piccolo sense a power greater then his. "What an immense power. It's not a being giving off this power. I need to investigate where it's coming from and what exactly it is. I'm sure if I can wield this power I can finally avenge my fathers death and kill Goku and imprison Kami once and for all." Piccolo said to himself.

Piccolo awakens from his meditative training and proceeds to fly straight for the source of this strange power, the heavens themselves.

Gohan glanced over at the sky's extension, dark and heavy clouds were slowly drawing in. It was apparent that a storm was making it's way all over the entire province. Although, he could feel something different about it. There was some tendency in the clouds, he could as well feel a tremendous power signaling from the same direction. Either something or someone is behind these clouds held great powers. Which remarkably caught his attention.


His neutral aura burst into life, as he hovered a few levels higher than the ground, continuing the process with a sudden boost towards the authority of this massive power. He however could confess the whopping difference between this storm and other ones which should be considered fully average. The youth could sense the great power climbing as he progressed his long journey, was he really reckless about acknowledging people's capability of holding such power, that would take decades for Gohan to achieve? Or hasn't he realized yet that it was only an object pouring this massive power?

The answer lied elsewhere, but he still must investigate. His head was quite mindful at the moment, as it was his personal duty to defend the Earth. While actually, he hasn't really got in any serious battles. For the exception for this android he had fought and killed, though, he never felt guilty in doing so. He had no choice but to finish him off before the chance of eradicating plentiful innocent lives. Someone eventually had to defeat or either stop him. Therefore, there were only a trifling miles away from touching the clouds, and he could finally learn what was prior to this intense storm.

Reaching there only within a few minutes, passing the clouds themselves. He furrowed his eyes in a puzzled state, the power was still signaling, yet there wasn't anything but another series of clouds. Having no choice but to continue forwards, he suddenly found himself unable to proceed any longer, confusedly glancing at the path he couldn't continue. Has it been some kind of a transparent barrier, or anything preventing him from reaching the power source.

He must land a look onto this object.

Piccolo began his long ascending journey into the heavens themselves. Everything seemed so calm far above the clouds, even Piccolo's felt a calming effect over his harden demeanor. The air began to have a more icy feel rather than a nice cool breeze one would feel below the clouds. Clouds that were once white began to take on a more sinister appearance of black vengeful clouds. Roaring and crackling of thunder and lightning simultaneously going off. It's as what ever lies beyond these clouds didn't want anyone getting near the heavens.

As the Namekian approached his destination, the sinister clouds began to let down the wrath of the ancient gods. As lightning, hail the size of golf balls began to rain down on Piccolo. The Namekian began to weave in between the incoming danger. Zipping past lightning and powering his way through the hail. ZZRACK! Piccolo felt his whole body flare up with pain, his body stiffened, the Namekian had been struck by lightning. Piccolo began to descend in a downward spiral, using sheer will power Piccolo managed to pull out of the descend.

"That was close. Clouds can't fire lightning at will, especially fire at me like I was being homed on like a Ki attack." Piccolo thought to himself. "These clouds must have been created by someone or some thing that dosent want me near that power source." Piccolo concluded.

The Namek went into a full burst of speed, returning to the area were he had been struck down. Piccolo headed straight for the dark clouds but a force stronger than him denied his entrance to the relic.

"What?! I can't reach that power source. Something is denying my right to claim that power." Piccolo told himself as he thought out his next move.

Notifying that it might be impossible to proceed any longer, an idea clasped through his mind. He straightened his back, hovering in a regular stance. Watching himself being surrounded by a shimmer that revealed itself as a white barrier. He slowly advanced forward, only to feel the barrier dissipating as it instantly got distinguished. As usual, being forced back to his previous spot. After all, it was becoming more evident that he was a failure in completing his goal. Which deeply pierced his ambition for encountering the power source, he sighed depressingly.

His temper suddenly rose as he failed in completing the journey countless times, which represented him no choice but to accomplish this quest with force. However, another power level detracted him from his main notion. It was barely near any of Gohan's or the source's power levels. Yet, it was still interesting to investigate. He is constantly eager to learn about power and energy in its general terms. He always was, ever since he experienced people who held enormous power levels. Which plunged even more excitement to his mind, always looking forward to become one of the most known fighters in the entire universe. And was fully intent on making that true.

He steered his direction to his right, ascending his speed as he was curious about who else could be met in this dull, crowded arena. Gohan could tell he was actually far enough from the mortal realm. He was practically a few miles away from the heavens themselves, it was quite amusing to witness a beautiful scene. Yet, it held a great mystery why people or more significantly, 'mortals' were prevented to near them. As he proceeded his search, there was a tall, green man in the distance. Obviously attempting to enter, but seemed to fold many times as Gohan. The youth twisted his lips into a smile, as he approached with caution.

"Hello, Mister! Are you trying to enter too?" He said in a happy voice, full of life.

"Hello, mister! Are you trying too enter as well?"

Who would speak to Piccolo the son of Demon King Piccolo with such happiness and joy? Piccolo turned around, to his astonishment a mere boy was standing in his presence. Something about the boy's eye's and face triggered memories of his hated rival Goku. "Kid get lost before you get your self killed." Piccolo told the young saiyan.

Piccolo once more tried to penetrate the dark clouds so that he may claim his prize. The Namekian bombarded the dark clouds with light grenades and ki blasts but nothing he did could penetrate the barrier surrounding the clouds.

"Why the hell is that kid is still around?" Piccolo muttered to himself sensing the saiyan boy was still in the area.

"Kid get lost before you get yourself killed."

Gohan rose a brow with a flustered frown, it would be unnatural to confront any any threat in this godforsaken place. It was as well possible that the man himself was intending on killing Gohan if he didn't 'get lost'. Although, the youth felt some power flawing from the stranger, it wasn't anything that Gohan couldn't handle. Eventually, both of them wouldn't be able to pass through the barrier unless they could assist each other. He stood as he watched the man blasting ki balls, which exploded as soon the handful of them made contact with the barrier.

"You won't be able to pass unless I help you. Do you know any ki based attacks?"

The Saiyan bounced back three feet, his back slowly straightening as he awaited patiently for a response. If their performances deteriorate, then it'd be more than impossible for them to enter. What could really be behind these clouds? Is it a prize from the gods, provided for the worthy? Literally, passing through isn't impossible, it is just very difficult that people could lose hope too quickly. No, Gohan wasn't like that, even when in the most tensed situations, he could see that there's a light of hope still shimmering in the land colored with black. It was his originality. He slowly took a deep breath as his aura suddenly stormed around him, burning through the cold-bittering wind. He was readying himself to launch a ki based wave. Though his decision on between which one was mostly beneficial for use hasn't been made yet.

He was ready.

Help, help from a small boy? Piccolo excepting help from a mere boy? The Namekian began to realize that if he was to get beyond the heavens clouds, he was going need to accept help.

"Okay kid, your going need to do what I exactly say. We both charge up our strongest ki attack and unleash the attack at exact same time." Piccolo instructed the young boy.

Piccolo began to focus his ki into one attack. An aura of ki surrounded the Namekian as he roared like a fearsome warrior channeling all his aggression and rage through out his body. Piccolo brought out one hand and used his other hand to lend support, a large bluish basketball size ball of ki began to crackle energy out ward and inward.

"NOW, Bakurikimaha!" Shouted Piccolo as he fired a large wave of ki! The dark angry clouds began to fade away, beyond the fading dark clouds Piccolo noticed a single lone cloud, an heavenly cloud. Surely that lone heavenly cloud was the source of the great power he sensed. Hopefully the young boy managed to launch his ki attack at the same moment because if he did then Piccolo could claim his prize.

OCC: My next post will end my part of the quest and lead a little into "Piercing the Heavens quest."

It only took a mere seconds before he accepted Gohan's support, it was definitely too obvious for him not to realize the only solution. Gohan drew a smirk over his lips as he watched the man generate ki in his palms. He could notice the sphere growing in size; almost the same of a giant watermelon. In any case, the ki ball he had formed within his own control; was earnestly much stronger than himself. Which added to the chance of killing the barrier, and completely wiping it from their way. The youth immediately flattened his palms onto his forehead, as he could feel the rush and warmth of the ki run through his muscular arms and lift from his flesh into existence. The teenager would only spend a few moments before firing the wave, for it could be at it's most powerful state.

"Maaassenkooo..." It made no point in saying the ability's name, yet it helped him focus on charging his attack. Gohan glanced over the man as he waited for his wave to complete forming. He could compare the great resemblance between Kami and this younger twin. Both had the same features in many ways, though Gohan had never thought of Kami's home planet. Which both were likely from the same race and planet. The youth had no clue about where did he emerge from or how had he reached Earth, he could only question himself : Was his planet nearby Earth? Or was it from a second galaxy? After all, he as well never learnt how much had the universe spread to. It was certainly much larger than his mind could imagine. Currently, his generation was finally willing to soar with the wind and burn it's way through the horizon.

"NOW, Bakurikimaha!"

Gohan emitted a shrilling scream, almost reachable to the people on Earth. As the sphere lengthened itself into a powerful wave. Its fearless voice roared as it surged through the way, both waves met into the same point and combined forces, instantly piercing through the barrier as they completed their way forwards and eventually vanished in the distance. Gohan stared at a cloud, too different from the ones surrounding it and was actually smaller in size. It undoubtedly was the 'object' that held the great power; unfortunately he wasn't sure of what to do next.

"We did it!"

He smiled as he approached the cloud with curiosity, slowly touching as it was completely special. After all, it wasn't even portable. Also, there wasn't any direct use of it, was all of this journey only a waste of time?

Piccolo was in awe and shock as he took note of the young boys skyrocketing power level. The Namekian could never imagined that a mere boy could hold some power, so much untapped potential.

"Impressive kid, tell me what's your name?" Piccolo awaited an answer but he had noticed the boy had let his curiosity get the better of him and had gone to investigate the heavenly cloud. Piccolo soon followed after the kid, the namek notice the boy was enjoying observing the cloud and probably had no idea about the power the heavenly cloud held inside.

Suddenly Piccolo froze, his facial expression filled with caution. Something else was near by, someone or something strong enough to alert Piccolo of their presence.
