Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana Empty Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana

Trunks watched the black clouds roll in on the horizon. Heavy gales were already buffeting the cliffside, fluttering his ear length his lavender hair. He stood with his arms folded, the storm no threat to a warrior of his caliber. Komand'r and her new ward Shana would arrive soon and he was preparing himself for what he guessed was a brutal training session.

It seemed to be a great concern form Komand'r that she was now responsible for training two warriors to face the Vora. Trunks had trained with an older Komand'r for a long time in his future and had learned a lot. But, this Komand'r was much younger and less powerful than the woman he remembered. Then agian, she was Super Saiyan and a veteran of many battles, so he still felt a great deal of respect for her, even if she was two years younger than him.

He saw their figures, mere specks among the black clouds as they flew towards him. He couldn't help a smile. Komand'r was coming, and bringing a storm with her. It always seemed that way, but she was the Host of Lightning after all. Within a few moments they grew from specks to full figures and landed beside him. Blackfire stood sentinel, no noticable emotion upn her face. The younger Shana seeemed practically glued to her hip. Both of their hair was flapping wildly in wicked wind.

"I guess it's time to do this," Trunks said and sighed. "You look so meek Shana, you're not making this easy for me."

He didn't really like the idea of beating on an eleven year old girl. Then again, she wasn't just an ordinary girl. She was the Host of Fire and nearly as powerful as he was. Of course, power wasn't everything, but he couldn't help the nagging feeling in his stomach that this wouldn't be any good.

Sliding his feet apart, he lowered at the knees and brought his hands up, forming a sort of claw with his fingers. It was a stance he had learned during his training on Namek and he favored it greatly for its versatility.

There was no use brooding over attacking Shana. She had to learn what it was like to have an enemy bearing down upon her. So, with a deep breath he dashed at her, kicking up chips of loose rock with his feet. At the last second, before he reached her, he slid and attempted to sweep her legs out.

Not bothering finding out of he was successful or not, he brought his right fist around in a powerful hay-maker aimed at the center of her torso. Two blazing fast kicks aimed at the center of her chest and a swift elbow towards the face complimented his combination attack. He hoped to keep her on her toes and show her he was serious about giving her a good lesson.

Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana Empty Re: Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana

Post by Shana 1/3/2012, 10:59 pm

"It took you long enough to get up!" The sharp voice surprised Shana as she descended down the stairs in her home. Blackfire sat at the kitchen table, arms cross, and a stern look in her piercing amethyst eyes. "Honestly, I know you were tired from yesterday, but sleeping like a dormouse all day isn't going to make you stronger."

Shana stifled a yawn. She wasn't just tired. She was exhausted! Saving Senton city from the Voracious Eater had left the human drained. And even after finding her parents alive, sleep had not come easy. The host of fire had simply stared at her own ceiling, too worried about her parent's health to rest easy. Only after the hours ticked by, was she able to fall into a restless slumber. Blackfire had stayed in her house to watch over the girl while her parents were recovering; the time-traveler known as Trunks had healed them.

Blackfire's stern look seemed to fade slightly. "You aren't' hurt from yesterday, are you?" she queried, stirring in her seat slightly. The Saiyan had checked her over good after the encounter with the Voracious Eater; thanks to Trunks, the human had escaped unscathed.

"N-no, I'm fine," Shana answered, averting her eyes away. Her long black hair was ruffled from just waking up. Her bare feet felt cold from the cold tile floor of the kitchen; the day's warmth had not seeped into the house yet.

"Fine. Get dressed, get something to eat, and freshen up. I'm taking you into the wilderness."

Instantly, Shana was awake and fully attentive. "Wha-Why? What about Mom and Dad?" Blackfire sighed, rubbing at her temples as if a headache were starting to form from the human's banter.

"Trunks healed them yesterday, remember? They'll be fine on their own for an hour or two. I'm more worried about you. From what I heard, you weren't even able to fight back, Trunks had to protect you against that Vora! You're stronger than him Shana, it should have been the other way around!"

The Saiyan's stinging words caused Shana to flinch as if claws had been raked across her face. "I'm... sorry..."

"No," Komand'r interrupted, getting up from her seat and crossing the kitchen to take an apple out of the wicker basket on the counter. She tossed it briefly from hand to hand before taking a bite and chewing thoughtfully. After a small moment to swallow the morsel, the Saiyan continued. "You just need training. And I know the person to train you..."

-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-
-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-

There was a reason that the house seemed cold. It was cold outside. And windy. Although Komand'r seemed pretty comfortable flying in the difficult weather, Shana was struggling to keep up with the Saiyan's speed. Her dark brown eyes were narrowed against the rushing gales and her hands were bared in front of her face to protect herself further.

"How much further?" Shana asked over the sound of the wind. For some reason, Blackfire seemed more on edge than usual; even the heavens seemed to bend to the brooding Saiyan's power. Unrestrained with power, the Saiyan didn't even bother responding, her amethyst eyes glued to the endless expanse of sky before her.

Shana let out a sigh, looking down below her. They had left the mainland and were now crossing the ocean; an endless amount of islands seemed to dot the crystalline waters. An ominous rumble of thunder passed over the two flying females, but Shana didn't pause to look. Instead, she had concentrated on trying to feel out Trunks' power. Blackfire had told her before on how to sense energy, but it was a skill foreign to the young human. After no success, the host of fire gave up with a small shake of her head.

"Here." Blackfire had suddenly cut off her flight and dropped to an island below. Altering her path slightly, the human followed suit, landing close beside her mentor. In front of them, Shana could see that Trunks was already there.

"I guess it's time to do this. You look so meek Shana, you're not making this easy for me."

So she was fighting Trunks! She gave a worried glance to Blackfire. She had dipped her head slightly, a sign of encouragement. Inside of her head, Shana could hear her voice; the Saiyan was communicating to her with telepathy.

Don't be nervous. Just fight with instinct. You're more powerful than you realize; I of all people should know that...

Shana's look tightened slightly at the Saiyan's instruction. She wouldn't be a burden anymore! But in her own thoughts, she wasn't prepared as Trunks suddenly dashed towards her. Blackfire had certainly seen in coming; the Saiyan had already kicked off from the ground, doing a neat back flip in the windy air, and landing neatly several yards off.

Shana backed up sevveral paces as Trunks homed in, sliding as he attacked. Instantly, his boots had slammed harshly into the girl's ankles, completely bowling the Vessel off of her feet. She crashed into the ground painfully, feeling the air rush from her lungs. Berating herself mentally, she scrambled ungracefully up. Blackfire would have been able to deal with that... So why couldn't she?

The half-Saiyan was hardly done with his assault; the lilac-haired warrior swooped in, aiming a clenched fist towards her chest. After only a brief hesitation, the human had found the speed to back up once more. Trunk's arm passed through empty air.

"Stop backing up like that!" Shana could hear Blackfire scolding her. "You're letting him force you into a corner too quickly! Don't give him ground that he doesn't deserve!"

Her sharp voice caused Shana to pause, just in time to get kicked twice in her gut. The human's eyes widened slightly as she stepped back further, just to feel her foot hit water. The human turned her head, she was already off of the island? Before she could recover, an elbow crashing into her turned cheek caused her to topple over completely into the water with a cascading splash.

Blackfire sighed, covering her face with an open palm. "She'll learn," Skoll's voice rumbled aloud. "You've seen her potential, just give her time to learn..."

With a gasping breath, Shana clawed her way to the surface of the water. Her head slipped out of the surface; she couldn't hear anything over her water-logged ears. When she floated out of the water to land on the ground once more, she almost wish she stayed in the freezing waters. With the wind blowing, her wet body seemed to freeze over entirely, causing the host of fire to shiver and stifle a sneeze.

Hahaha! I'm pretty sure that Komand'r said to spar with Trunks, not swim with him! Okibi's jeer was not helping. She narrowed her eyes, leering at Trunks. Soon, she rushed forward, aiming a savage knee to the man's face. Backing up softly, the human's eyes targeted a nearby cliff face. With a kiah, she pivoted on a single heel, aiming a powerful blow to the Half-Saiyan's gut, aiming to send him flying into the rock face.

Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana Empty Re: Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana

Post by Goku 1/4/2012, 12:06 am

"Stop backing up like that!" Blackfire had shouted to Shana. "You're letting him force you into a corner too quickly! Don't give him ground that he doesn't deserve!"

Shana had recovered quickly from Trunks's beat down and had returned with vengeance. Her knee collided with his chin, causing his head to snap back. She was small, but she hit like a champ. Spittle flew from his lips and he stumbled a few steps back, a bit dazed. As he brought his head forward he heard a battle cry, only to see her coming back at him again.

Her little foot slammed into his stomach with enough force to knock the air out of his lungs. Letting out a low wheeze, Trunks felt himself soaring through the air. Try as he might, he couldn't correct himself and ended up colliding with the mountain side behind him. The impact caused the rock to sink in a few inches and created a spiderweb of cracks all around him. He jerked himself out of the impression, shards of rock tumbled away from his form.

Trunks's neck was pulsating with pain from the first hit, so he cracked it as he started walking towards Shana.

“You have a lot of power little one,” Trunk said. “A lot more than I accounted for.”

The rain had arrived, spraying in at them sideways from the force of the wind. Trunks squinted against the sheet of water as it battered against his eyes. It was extremely cold, and feeling like thousands of little needles hitting his skin. He regretted leaving his coat back at Kame House, for sure. Through the haze he could barely make out Shana's figure.

Lifting off, he hovered into the sky. The heavy winds slammed against him, but he remained steadied as he rose. Blue-white streaks of lightning cut zigzags through the clouds, illuminating the rocky island with blinding light.

Trunks balled his fists and began to draw out his ki, letting it flow through him. A white aura erupted around his form and he let a roar from the sheer intensity of the power he was drawing out. Wind began to emanate from him, pushing back against the storm gales. It was like the rain hit a wall, droplets quivered in the air before they were launched in the opposite direction.

At the apex of his power up, he relaxed his muscles, the shimmering ki still flowing all around him. The rain resumed pelting him, but through the heat of his aura it wasn't half as bad as before.

He extended his right hand out flat, taking aim through the wind and rain at Shana's tiny form. Ki began to collect into a cyan bead in the middle of his palm. The bead swelled until it was an orb larger than his entire hand. With a small twitch of exertion, he unleashed the energy in the form of a large beam, which streaked through the violent atmosphere after Shana.

Wasting no time after his beam, Trunks vanished into thin air and re-appeared at her side, attempting to run her over like a Mack truck with a full speed flying kick.

Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana Empty Re: Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana

Post by Shana 1/4/2012, 1:03 am

To the human's surprise, her attacks had actually landed! Shana was shocked; perhaps Blackfire was right, perhaps she was strong. But, the battle was hardly over. To her eyes, the Half-Saiyan hardly seemed phased by her offense.

He had pulled himself from the rock face and a even paused to crack his neck. “You have a lot of power little one. A lot more than I accounted for.”

The human gulped. Why did he sound so ominous? The very heavens seemed to darken further at his words! Soon, rain pelted the ground and both fighters mercilessly as the gates of precipitation were torn open. It didn't matter much to Shana; the human was already soaked from head to toe thanks to her little swim prior, but Blackfire didn't seem to happy to be in Mother Nature's fury. A frown was present on the Saiyan's face.

Lightning tore through the darkened sky, ripping a path through the rain like a hot knife through butter. With it, a torrential crash caused the ground to crumble. Trunks lifted into the air slowly. Shana considered following him, then paused. She wasn't great at flying yet. The human decided to wait.

A white aura had leaped to life around the suspended Half-Saiyan. The rain seemed to be deterred from its fall around him. The flame-like energy continued to bend the air itself as his power grew. Even without being able to sense the man's energy, she could tell something big was coming.

She shot a glance over to Blackfire. "I am not your opponent, keep your eyes on him!"

So much for that.

As she peeled her brown eyes away, a warning snarl emitted from Okibi. Prepare yourself!

Before the human could figure out what the beast of fire was talking about, there was the powerful roar of energy. Shana looked up to see a searing beam of cyan energy crashing down upon her position.

At first, a sense of dread crossed the human's feelings. But then, it changed. Blackfire is watching me... I can't give up!

The tiny girl drew in a deep breath. She had seen Blackfire pull the trick off several times. Somehow, managing to literally shout away an attack. Although the human wasn't too sure how the Saiyan did it, it wouldn't stop her from trying. Somehow, she didn't think that the sound of her voice was the key to it. Perhaps if she infused ki into it...

And just like that, there was no more time to consider her options. There was hardly time to act, in fact. So the girl discharged her yell. Her voice seemed to echo around the island, sounding deeper than usual. An invisible shock wave of the girl's own energy crashed into the beam, diffusing it from within. The core disrupted, Trunk's beam suddenly seemed to flicker out of existence, leaving behind wisps of energy in its place that harmlessly evaporated in turn.

As if Trunks was going to give the human a chance to celebrate her successful defense. His form simply vanished. Shana's eyes widened. Where did he go? A puff of air announced his arrival, pushing against Shana's skin softly. Just as the host of fire was beginning to turn around, Trunks' boot crashed harshly against her shoulder, tearing her shirt slightly and bruising the skin.

A powerful ripple seemed to pass through the girl's body, and soon, she found her self flying, bouncing and skidding across the ground like a bouncing ball. With each bump, the ground cracked and tore open, causing Shana's clothes to become covered in mud.

"O-ouch..."

"You're never going to win that way," Blackfire's voice rang out once more over the howling weather. Even with her clothes drenched and hair plastered against her skinny form, the Saiyan was a sight to be feared. She just looked dangerous. Another bolt of lightning struck the ground, only several yards from Komand'r, yet the Saiyan didn't even flinch. The blinding azure light caused Shana to bring up an arm to try and shade herself; the resulting crash of thunder was enough to make the human's ears to ache. Why did the Saiyan choose today to practice?

"Use your anger! You almost flattened me when you got angry with me! Use that emotion!"

You make it sound so simple... Shana thought bitterly, picking herself off of the ground and wiping away a smudge of mud from her cheek. Narrowing her eyes against the blasting rain, she picked Trunks' muscular form out of the haze. Anger...

Try imagining him as that Vora that hurt your parents, Okibi suggested. Shana's eyes snapped open, that was it! She shifted slightly in her stance, picturing the ugly creature in her mind. It's rat-like tail, furry form, stench, and terrifying mandibles. Yes...

She let out a drawn out growl, then leaped forward. As she raised her fists, she could almost feel Okibi's power flowing through her limbs, bringing the Vessel strength. If one could look close enough, it seemed that Okibi's powerful form was racing along side of her, his fiery paws striking against the water-logged ground.

It seemed to be an instantaneous movement. Shana had closed the distance between her and Trunks, and was striking out with a heavy barrage of attacks. One could argue that they were blind, but with Okibi's presence guiding the female's small fists, they were all well-aimed. Her arms worked like a piston until finally she broke away, aiming a powerful uppercut to try and send Trunks' back up into the air.

Well done...

Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana Empty Re: Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana

Post by Goku 1/4/2012, 3:07 am

OOC: I changed Wolf Fang Fist and some of the other physical abilities, making them boost might instead of ki when you use it. I also tweaked some of the FP gainages on those abilities and on the on utility abilities as well. So, you may wanna check everything you have and recalculate if need be.

Trunks's kick hand landed solid, even if his beam had not. He watched as Shana skipped across the rocky surface of the island like a flat stone across a pond. Trunks stood at the ready, watching her form as she lay there. When she didn't pop back up right away, he thought that perhaps he had put too much into his last attack.

“You're never going to win that way," Komand'r said. "Use your anger! You almost flattened me when you got angry with me! Use that emotion!"

What! Trunks thought, taken aback at though thought of littlw Shana harming a Super Saiyan. It seemed—well, to put it simple—impossible. There is no way. I've seen Komand'r tear through entire fields of Vora and come out without a scratch. But, this little girl had stood up to her? Man, I have a long way to go.

Shana finally rose to her feet and Trunks's eyes widened in surprise when he saw the determined look set upon her face. If looks could kill...

And, she charged at him. Orange light filled the area as the power of the Spirit Beast of Fire emerged. Trunks could see the lion's ethereal form encompassing Shana as she charged. In fact, it looked almost as if he were running along side her. Before he knew it he was being pummeled by rapid strikes, paralyzed in both fear and in pain. With each consecutive hit, blood spurted from open gashes on his chest, shoulders, and face. His tank top was shredded by the blows too, little pieces of fabric flinging in all directions.

After the onslaught he was sailing through the air. Before he knew it, he was hit again by a heavy under cutting and sent plummeting towards the ground. Time seemed to slow down for him as he watched the lightning cut its swaths through the clouds. Turning his head, he saw Komand'r stern expression as he passed her. With little warning, his back hit the ground and he went sliding across the tattered rock, gravel eating away at the flesh on his back.

It was a bit before he staggered to his feet, blood dripping out of his mouth. It took everything he had to fight the urge to double over from the pain coursing through his torso. With one swift movement he tore off his already battered tank top, discarding it to to the wind. The cold rain beat against his pale chest, washing away the crimson blood that would have ordinarily dried there.

“And to think,” Trunks said as he stumbled into his stance. “I actually felt bad for that last kick.”

The ki he had summoned forth with his last power up was still coursing through him. He wiped the blood from his chin with his forearm and dashed at the girl, ready to bring on everything he had. As little and helpless as she seemed, he had underestimated her one to many times. If he kept it up, he would be in a hospital bed.

With a roar he darted at her as fast as he could, trying for a rising knee aimed at her chin as he arrived. With a pulse of ki then flew over her, landing behind. Pushing the offensive he unleashed a furious barrage of punches, eight to be exact, all aimed at her center and lower back.

After the Machine Gun Fist, he flew backwards and taking it into the black clouds. As he went, he gathered ki into a crackling blue palm sized orb, which he hurled back down at her. It was just a little icing on the cake.

Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana Empty Re: Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana

Post by Shana 1/4/2012, 2:12 pm

OOC: Would a partially blocked attack add to rage?

A soft pant escaped Shana's lips. Her savage attack gone unchecked, there was a dull ache creeping through her limbs. The human certainly wasn't in the right shape for sustained battles. The burst of power had left her mind fuzzy with fatigue.

At least Trunks seemed to be in bad shape from her destructive attack. His shirt was tattered in places, and after a pause, the Half Saiyan simply ripped it off, revealing his muscular chest. A flush crossed the human's face and she turned her eyes away from the man's toned body.

Concentrate!

“And to think, I actually felt bad for that last kick.” He took a step forward, sliding into a stance. Shana backed up slightly, throwing up her own arms as she tried to figure out where he would attack next. Shana didn't have to wait long. The lilac-haired warrior surged forward, his form splitting the falling rain like a curtain. Shana's eyes darted all over Trunks. She desperately was trying to find something to hint where he was going to attack. A tensed muscle, anything! But it was in vain, His foot came up rapidly, smashing into the human's chin painfully.

It caused her teeth to clatter together, forcing her mouth shut. The girl's eyes watered slightly, but it would be impossible to detect in the pouring rain that still showed no signs of stopping. Her entire form was lifted from the ground, though there as little surprise there; Shana wasn't exactly heavy in weight. Screwing her eyes shut, the human had little control to stop her ascent until she felt her body arc in the air. The rain pelted more slowly against her chest, as if she was falling.

She dared to peer out with one eye, albeit a bit too late as she bounced once more against the hard earth. A rush of wind followed, Trunks was still on the move! Shana's world stopped spinning long enough for her to flip to her feet. With a small pivot of her heel, the battered host of fire met Trunks' assault head on.

She didn't account for his greater battle experience. She only managed to bring her arms up to let his first two strikes land on her forearms before he simply broke through her block, railing her body with blows that made her eyes widen.

With each attack, Shana felt her body being sapped of strength. She was starting to feel weary; even her footsteps were no longer even. She coughed up a small wad of blood, unable to even act as something heavy slammed into her. An energy attack? When had he-

An explosion rocked the girl's world. She could feel her skin splitting open in several places from the intense heat. Almost instantly afterwards, the attack had cauterized her wounds. It was a painful procedure. She was sent backwards, crashing to the ground in a crumpled heap.

Get up!

I don't want to... Shana's entire body ached. She dug her fingers into the ground, causing it to crack and splinter from her strength. She could still feel Blackfire watching her. Another bolt of lighting split the air. The wind continued its brutal assault on the island. Even the ocean seemed to roar in protest from the battle. The human coughed once, pushing herself. With a small stagger, she simply fell back down.

Komand'r sighed. "Alright, that's enough, I think."

"No!" Blackfire frowned slightly at the human's protest. "I can keep going!" When she looked up, fire seemed to blaze in her brown eyes.

Don't push your body needlessly. This is only a training bout... Okibi trailed off, sounding worried.

No, I can't do that. I'm not weak. I need to do this!

The human clenched her fists. Her entire body seemed to light up with a soft glow. And then, searing flames erupted around her out of seemingly nowhere. They wreathed around her bruised body in a glorious display of power. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Blackfire's eyes widen. For good reason. It was uncommon for a Vessel to be able to bend their element without being first infused with the symbiotic god that gave them their title. But that wasn't the most shocking thing about to transpire.

The flames around her form intensified, seemingly unaffected by the rain. Inextinguishable, fueled by nothing but determination, and power, the fire blazed on endlessly. The entire island gave off an ominous rumble as Shana's power began to increase. The ground shook before cracks appeared below the human's feet, spreading out like a spider's web. Soon, the ground itself was pushed down, heavy with discharged energy. The Vessel's entire body began to ache with the heavy power coursing through it; even though her face was strained, there was a fierce look upon it.

With a roar that seemed to not belong to Shana, the human surged forward like a missile. The ground she stood on simply exploded from the force as she aimed a powerful elbow to the man's face. The very blow caused the air to ripple. With every ounce of strength she could muster, Shana attacked.

Watch me, Blackfire... Watch me....

Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana Empty Re: Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana

Post by Goku 1/4/2012, 11:07 pm

OOC: I was in the sky, so I'm just gonna pretend Shana flew at me.

The blue orb of ki descended, rain sizzling off of it as it made for its mark. Trunks watched from above as it exploded in a blinding flash. He folded his arms and watched as the light and smoke receded. His aura no longer blazed around him and the coldness from the wind and storm coursed over him, cutting him to the bone. Being shirtless and having cuts and scrapes all over his flesh didn't do much for him.

In the quietness after the blast, Trunks heard nothing but the monstrous howling of the wind. Another bolt of lightning flashed across the sky, bringing a deep growl of thunder afterward. The storm was akin to a wicked beast, foul and fickle. As their fight raged on, it seemed to Trunks the storm was growing more frustrated and far more violent. A bolt of lightning nearly grazed him, causing the hair on his arms to stand up on end.

Although her form was blurry through the wind and rain, Trunks could see Shana get back up and then fall back down.

"Alright, that's enough, I think,” Komand'r said.

"No!" Shana shouted. “I can keep going!"

“Komand'r, let the lady fight,” Trunks called down.

It was the Saiyan in him talking. Trunks admittedly had the same problem most Saiyans dealt with, the inability to turn down a good challenge.

Shana was on her feet again and had a look of determination painted on her face. And then the light show came as a blazing torrent of flames shrouded Shana, bathing the entire island a harsh red glow. It was like staring into the sun and Trunks was force to glance away. The Half-Saiyan couldn't feel the ground below shaking, as he was hovering in the sky, but witnessed the whole island vibrating. A moment later, he heard loose rock give way on the already battered cliff, creating a massive landslide that fell into the churning seas.

Trunk checked back on Shana to see her flying at him like a speeding missile. She even left behind a burning trail of ki in her wake. At that point, there was no where for him to go. He couldn't dodge her, the best he could do was bring his knees and forearms together in front of him and lower his head. His turtle tactic didn't do much to stop the power of the attack, but he managed to protect his vitals. Shana's elbow rammed into him and sent tumbling end over end through the black clouds. The energy from her aura scorched him leaving behind wicked blisters and charred spots on his limbs.

With darkness and rain whipping past him at high speeds he had no idea where he was headed. She had hit him head on, so eventually gravity would bring him to Earth, but he didn't want to have to deal with another hard impact. With a pulse of ki he brought himself to a screeching halt in mid air. Collecting himself, he was able to find up and down and set his eyes upon the horizon.Shana was mere fiery speck, her blow had sent him a few hundred yards through the air.

White aura enveloping his frame, Trunks blasted off through the wind and rain, accelerating into a head on rush. He didn't bother with any tricks or feints. So far the young girl had hit him head on each time. His Saiyan blood was boiling with the urge to deliver the same punishment right back.

While it wasn't a fight for survival, Trunks didn't know if he could live with himself if he were beaten by a young girl, Vessel or not. With a last second battle cry, he attempted to clothesline her with the flat of his forearm. Spinning himself around he came at her again with a three quick punches. The first was aimed at her lower torso, the second at the middle of her chest and the final one sped towards the bridge of her nose.

Trunks knew if he didn't bring the heat, he would have to get out of a kitchen. Okibi was within her, guiding her, and with him he brought the knowledge and power of all the previous Hosts of Fire. Trunks only had the fighting skills he picked up from his numerous masters and the power he won through great trials and tribulations.

Don't let Komand'r down, show her you are something to be reckoned with. Prove to her you are ready to face the Vora head on in battle.

Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana Empty Re: Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana

Post by Shana 1/5/2012, 1:41 am

Although her entire body ached with exhaustion, the girl continued to hold her flight. She was hardly skilled in the air, yet Trunks seemed comfortable enough in it albeit injured from her previous attacks. However, Shana was hardly in a position to think that she was in any way 'winning' the little spar. It seemed as if a gust of wind would blow her tiny frame over; it took almost all of her concentration to keep her form still in the bellowing winds that buffeted the island.

Trunks rocketed forward, and Shana gritted her teeth, stained with blood. She brought her arms up albeit not in time as his forearm struck harshly against her upper chest. The blow exchanged was enough to send a shock wave of kinetic energy pushing away from the core of the attack. The ripple of discharged power caused the rain to part, pushed away from it's vertical free fall. Despite pushing back as hard as she could to try and force his own power against him, the man's power was too great. The girl felt something snap in her upper chest. A searing pain spread across, causing her eyes to shut as she tried to bite back a cry of pain. Steadily, the human felt her form being pushed backwards. Finally, he blew past her, causing the human to spin backwards much like a runaway top. With a discharge of ki, she stabilized her spin, yet found her entire form upside down. Her soaked hair hung down in an unruly manner as she was forced to defend against Trunks' next assault. The sound of wind, rain, lightning, and fire roared in the Vessel's ear at once. It was a chorus of chaos that composed a symphony of power. An angelic yet demonic show of rage and determination.

Shana couldn't lose here! She had too much at stake! Her breaths came out ragged; it hurt just to breathe. with every gasping breath, the girl could feel her rib cage expanding, irritating the the rib that had cracked. I couldn't protect myself from that Vora... I was just a burden... No more!

The Vessel of Fire didn't bother to correct her position in flight. She didn't exactly have time to as the lilac-haired Half-Saiyan was rushing at her once more. The human narrowed her eyes. Once more, the Half-Saiyan was homing in. He cocked a fist, driving it towards Shana's gut. The human twisted slightly, managing to avoid the majority of the attack. Still, his fist had grazed, causing her to almost lose control in her flight.

Shana let out a small hiss as Trunks renewed his attack. This time, the human took the initiative to attack first. It was as if time itself had slowed down in her eyes. Just as his elbow began to straighten, the girl did a complete spiral in the air and drove a heavy foot towards her foe's gut, aiming to stop his attack in its tracks. Not bothering to see if her attack had worked, the human dropped to the ground with a small thud. Immediately, her shoes sank several inches in the muddy ground.

Her hair plastered to her sides, the human looked up at the man. Her arms were no longer in a stance, but held above her head as if she were about to gather energy for an attack.

Nearby, Komand'r frowned. Shana couldn't control ki, aside from her horrible flying. So what was she up to. Only then, did her amethyst eyes snap open in shock. She knew exactly what was about to transpire. "Shana, no! Don't!"

The Saiyan's plea was lost in the howling vortex of elements. The aura of flames rippling around the human's form seemed to flash violently, almost doubling in size. As it did, the roar intensified until the human's own skin began to crawl from the heat produced. If it were not for Okibi's presence protecting the host of flames from her own element...

The fire continued to spiral, slowly rising upwards until only the human's arms were covered in the powerful element. It was then, when they seemingly extinguished. When the girl aimed her arms at Trunks though, the flames re-ignited, forming as a powerful column of crimson flames that tore through the air at the suspended Half-Saiyan.

As soon as her attack finished, the human fell to her knees. The searing jet of flames had left her utterly defeated. She gasped for breath, sweat streaming down her face with the blanket of rain adding a cover through the storm clouds overhead. The girl's attack had produced a heat so powerful, that it had risen to the chaotic heavens above, pushing the storm clouds away for a brief moment. The sun flickered uncertainly through the small break, showing it's presence in the eye of the storm. Then, just as quickly, it was gone, swallowed up by the powerful and enraged combination of wind, lightning, and water once more.

Shana was done. If her attack hadn't defeated Trunks... Well, the outcome was easy enough to guess by now. Shana simply didn't have enough gas in her tank to continue.

Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana Empty Re: Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana

Purified By Flame

-Theme-

Trunks felt Shana's foot collide with his gut and was seeing stars from the sheer power of the impact. Her burning aura brought a second pain, a wash of flames that blackened his skin. When the blood came spraying out of his nose and mouth he was sure something important had ruptured deep down inside. Trunks spiraled towards the ground, the savage wind and rain causing him to drift closer and closer to the line of trees. Upon impact, he bounced like a rubber ball, his limp limbs flinging back and forth.

Eventually he came to a grinding halt and let out a low wheeze. To put it simple, he was suffering. Such power, she's only a kid.

Getting to his feet took more effort than he imagined. Both of his knees felt rubbery and his arms sagged at his side, lending nothing for balance. Breathing heavy, he looked around, barely able to see through the rain, blood, sweat and tears.

"Shana, no! Don't!"

Komand'r's voice was like a shrill alarm as it cut through the low whooshing sound of the high-speed winds. Trunks knew that something else was coming his way.

Dammit. I won't be able to do anything in this condition.

The flames that had shrouded her were starting to rise. It turned into a tornado of sorts, spinning and churning around her. Even from dozens of yards away Trunks could feel the warmth emanating from her. If it weren't for the threat she posed, he would have invited the rising heat.

The swirling pillar of flames was gone a moment later, leaving nothing more than an ominous silence. Even though Trunks knew that he should keep his eyes on his enemy, he looked up, seeing the sun glimmering above. The intensity of her rising power had dispersed the clouds. Setting his eyes back to his opponent, his sight was filled with flames. It was all he could do to cross his arms in front of him as he was engulfed whole.

Pain wasn't the word that Trunks would have used to describe what he was feeling as the Thunder Flash Attack tore at him. It was a dull ache, a deep ache, all throughout his body. While his face torso were protected, the rest of him was incinerated. When the flames finally passed, streamers of smoke trailed off his body. Blackened patches covered his arms and legs. His pants were nothing but a few tattered crisps, his legs covered in blisters and deep burns.

He fell to his knees, feeling the heaviness of his wounds. “K-Komand'r,” he said. “I hope you have another one of those Senzu Beans.”

With that said, he fell forward face first into the gravel. The torrential rain and violent winds resumed their assault on the island, but Trunks was in the dream world now, saved from the gruesomeness of his reality.

Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana Empty Re: Test Battle - Trunks vs Shana

You really went overboard there, my host... It was hard enough to do anything much less acknowledge Okibi in her exhausted state. There was a small splash beside her, and Shana could see that Blackfire had landed beside her. With piercing amethyst eyes, the Saiyan was staring at the battered human. There seemed to be a new look within them. Was it awe? Fear? Respect? In the human's condition, she wasn't sure. Part of her didn't care. All she wanted was to crawl back into bed at this point. Well, get warm and dry first. Then, bed.

The Saiyan produced a small brown bag, peering into it with a small frown. After a small moments hesitation, she produced a small lime-colored bean, splitting it in half with her thumbnail. She gave half to the collapsed human. "Eat it," she instructed. Her voice was tense, but carefully neutral.

Shana gratefully took it, popping it in her mouth eagerly. A few small chews later, and her entire body seemed to flood with renewed energy. The Saiyan had crossed the charred battlefield; picking her way across the torn up earth. The fire from Shana's attack had done more than just burn. It had literally melted the rock of the island. Such was the fierceness of Okibi's flames. The Saiyan bent over Trunks, placing two fingers to his neck briefly.

She then let out an audible sigh. "Really Shana, I thought you killed him. Try being more careful; not everyone has an elemental god in them." The Saiyan peered closer at Trunks. He was out like a light, too out to be woken up for a sensu bean. But it was obvious that he needed some treatment. "Shana, go home. I'm going to take Trunks to my ship and put him in a rejuvenation tank."

Without bothering to see if the human had followed her orders, Blackfire picked Trunks up, hoisted him over her shoulder, then took off. Her form was almost instantly lost in the blinding rain.

OOC: Trunks lives, Shana steals his pride nothing.
