Sabatu - Will of Fire Empty Sabatu - Will of Fire

Ability Name: Will of Fire (Sabatu)- Absolute defence

Type: Utility

Attack Rating: 0

Actions: 0

FP Gain: See description

Learning Cost: 50 TP

Description:

Things can go wrong in battle. Hope can easily be lost when one is cornered with death looming over them. While some may be unable to turn the tables in these dire circumstances, a Vessel is different. Durable, well-trained, and disciplined, there's a reason that so few Vessels have died in combat during the Conclave's nine hundred and thirty seven year reign.

When death looms over Shana, she may bring forth a powerful aura from her will that takes shape of a skeletal warrior made of solidified flames. With a shield protecting her and a sword to bring forth Alexstrasza's wrath, she can turn the tables around. The name of the fiery warrior is named Sabatu. Protecting her from all angles, Shana is fully enveloped in this monster's form. However, this move is an absolute last resort. As such, all following criteria must be met.

Criteria 1: Okibi may not be present on the battlefield.
Criteria 2: Shana's FP may not be exceeding the point to where she is considered exhausted.
Criteria 3: Shana must sport major or mortal wounds to use this tech.

Once all of these criteria are met, Shana may force Sabatu out. However, this automatically brings her FP to one above her limit, making her exhausted. Any mortal wounds that Shana has are healed enough to make her status is majorly wounded. If she uses her will while majorly wounded, no changes will be made.

Sabatu lasts for three turns. While it is active, Shana may not use any Ki based attacks. In addition, she may not use items that restore her health or lower her FP. Any melee based attacks are carried out by Sabatu's sword, increasing the AR by 1 to a maximum of 5. Any melee tech already at an AR of 5 or bolstered to 5 will leech energy out of the foe. The attack must land or the opponent must block for this to take place. Leeching restores Shana's energy, lowering her FP by 25. All melee attacks carried out by the sword has it's FP penalty reduced by 50%.

While Sabatu is active, Shana's base strength and toughness are increased by 75%. Sabatu drains 5 FP per action. If Shana reaches her limit before Sabatu naturally fades, she will pass out as normal. While Sabatu is active, Anything that Shana blocks (whether ki based or melee) lands on the materialized shield. This renders Shana unharmed. In addition, Shana does not receive any FP penalty for blocking. However, once the shield blocks three attacks at 3 AR or above, it breaks, and normal blocking rules apply once more. If Sabutu blocks an attack at 5 AR, the shield breaks after the block takes place no matter what it's durability is. In addition, the 5 AR attack will be softened to a 3 AR attack that hits afterwards.

Once Sabatu fades, Shana passes out whether she is at her FP limit or not. The tech is a double-edged sword, as it drains from her life force to fuel such a behemoth of power.

Sabatu - Will of Fire Empty Re: Sabatu - Will of Fire

Change log

Deletions in red with line in middle.
Addiions in green

-All melee attacks carried out by the sword has it's FP penalty reduced by 75% 50%.

Reason for tweak: Found out that there's more FP than I thought after hitting the status: Exhausted. Nerfed the percentage of FP deduction to make it harder to sustain Sabatu within the three turns he is active.

-However, once the shield blocks three attacks at 4 3 AR or above, it breaks, and normal blocking rules apply once more. If Sabutu blocks an attack at 5 AR, the shield breaks after the block takes place no matter what it's durability is.

Reason for tweak: The blocking mechanic Sabatu uses was powerful enough already. Made it so that the shield is easier for an opponent to break as a weakness.

Sabatu drains 5 10 FP per action.

Reason for tweak: Same as first reason, made it harder for Sabatu to be sustained for three turns

Sabatu drains 10 5 FP per action.

Reason for tweak: 10 FP drain per action would net 90 FP over three turns. It would be impossible to sustain Sabatu for any reasonable amount of time. At 5 FP per action, Shana would suffer 45 FP, giving her a little room to work with for the remaining 64 FP.

f Sabutu blocks an attack at 5 AR, the shield breaks after the block takes place no matter what it's durability is. In addition, the 5 AR attack will be softened to a 3 AR attack that hits afterwards.

Reason for tweak: A finisher is a powerful blow; even Sabatu's shield cannot absorb the full blunt of the attack.

I can understand a summon ability having a layer of complexity, but why is this so complex? O.o

Let's make this simple and clean please.

This has been simplified a bit and you've made alterations to the shield portion. This is acceptable. Approved.
