The Moonlight Empty The Moonlight

Post by Broly 6/2/2012, 7:22 pm

The moonlight fell softly upon Broly's face, as he glanced upward at the night sky. His eyes traveled across the stars at an almost casual pace, searching for that which he had lost what seemed like forever ago. He had lost his chance to find his father, he had lost his chance to find a home for himself. He had never considered earth his home, nor had he ever considered it even worth his time; he was merely using the temporary relocation to it in order to find the power which he had sought for so long. It had been an unfortunate result that he had been here so long, an unforeseen consequence that he was presently stranded on the hunk of rock which was home to the Human Condition. If he had it his way? He'd have left far long ago, but things were finally becoming interesting for him. Things were shaping up to form a makeshift pathway to that which he had longed for, and that which he had lusted after for so long. Fate was actually showing him something he wanted; power, plain and simple. It had been so long since he'd met something powerful, but... Then came Rex, then came Master; then came that organization so petty.

It wasn't that he wanted the power behind such an organization, he was seeking the power that drove them to new heights, the power to transform. The power that had driven Rex mad would drive a warrior like Broly to his peak performance; in short, he was like a Ferrari with infinite fuel. The more power he had, the faster he moved, the stronger he was; he could shift gears whenever he wanted...But, at the same time, he couldn't. It was perplexing, it was as though he was on the edge of a cliff. He could step off any time he wanted, but there was no promise he would survive the fall. He had seen many men step off and be dashed upon the rocks as if they were rag dolls, dropped to their death by some unseen force. Broly knew he was no rag doll, but at the same time, that did not promise his survival. Then again, he wasn't worried about physical death; he was worried about losing his fucking mind. He had seen the descent into madness caused by such unending power. The old man, Pattchoy; that bastard had literally imploded with the stress of bearing such power in his hands, causing the destruction of the original Planet Vegeta.

He crossed his arms briefly, as flowers waved in the breeze around him. He was seeking any sign of power out there, any sign of his bastard of a father; where could Paragus have run off to? Where could he have hidden his damn self? Wasn't he aware of the futility of his efforts? It was sickening, the futility. Paragus had clearly forgotten his son's determination, his son's massive levels of resilience. Broly was not opposed to chasing the man through the stars, for Broly would have gone to any lengths to enact his revenge. Oh; that moment would be glorious. He could already hear the old man's bones snap under the pressure of his hands, his cries for help and his pleas for mercy. It was an unfortunate (for Paragus) fact that he would receive no such fucking mercy, for Broly did not do mercy. It was not his thing, per se. Whereas other warriors allowed their opponent to flee for another day, Broly either made sure they got down, or laid down. Of course, a warrior here and there had yet to succumb to the Legendary Warrior's will, but they would before long.

They all fell, before long. It was like an endless line of dominoes, all tipped by one man; the man who stood now in the moonlight, haunted by devils he could not quite control. He could not control where his mind took him, he could not control the level of complete and total fascination with power he happened to own. It was simply his heritage, his birthright and birth-wrong; was it honestly considered right for a boy to possess such complete and total power? A power that one could never come to terms with, no matter what age they happened to be? Broly could live until the end of time, but he would never quite gather a grasp upon that lust, that addiction to strength and might which plagued him. It was one of the most voracious hungers known to the universe; second in nature to only one predator's need for power and knowledge.

Broly knew that predator was lurking in the shadows, lurking somewhere in wait for him to show any sign of weakness, but he had not expected him to be in such close proximity at that moment. After all, what predator hunted Saiyan during a full moon? What Predator hunted in such a soft environment, full of wavering flowers and flooding moonlight?

The Moonlight Empty Re: The Moonlight

Post by Cell 6/2/2012, 8:09 pm

Cell had seen the large Saiyan berserker off in the distance as he had approached. Seeing might not be the correct terminology, he could feel his energy. It was almost as if it was part of him, as he had absorbed some of it the first time they meet. It did not allow much, except for the monster to be able to pinpoint his location much more easily. During combat this became non-existent due to the need to focus on battle. Still, it was a bit helpful and he would need to refine the ability.

After all, he had planned to allow this prey of his to fatten up before he cut his throat and ate him. It would be marvelous, the epitome of the Saiyan genes dying in front of his eyes as he was absorbed into his perfection. It might not be so bad on the warrior, after all it would be an increase in power, as the green monster drove his way to his ultimate goal. For now though, he wanted to check the condition of this man who could easily slaughter the entirity of the human race. It was lucky that Cell was most certainly not a human. Filthy things.

He could see that many things were bothering him. The many cells of martial arts masters and fathers alike told the green monster many things from many different experiences and lessons learned. A few centuries worth of experience telling him things. How this transfer of information from cells and genetic structure was possible was completely unknown to Gero's creation. He suspected that the mad scientist had made a discovery that in his insanity, never documented. He really was an imbecile.

However, it was obvious that Broly was lost in thought. Thinking about his goals and failures. Thinking about his future. It was...strange to see, because Cell had gotten the impression that he was the type to simply take whatever problem he came across head on and attempted to obliterate it with overwhelming amounts of force. and focused on just killing the thing in front of him. He had forgotten...or simply not noticed something very important about where he was right now. Not psychically so much as in his state of mind and why he felt 'stuck'. Cell had gathered that he had also lost a fair amount of his power somehow. For his prey to advance and make a better meal, he would need to power through this barrier. Cell couldn't think of anyone, besides himself, who could do that as well as this man.

Cell approached and allowed his power to be fully revealed. He was easily many fold stronger than he used to be, and was far over half of Broly's level. Considering the fight they had when he was at his weakest, this meant that he was a significant threat. The exact thing Broly needed to face right now.

" Broly, this place...doesn't suit you. Unless this is where you want to be buried." He said in the closest thing the monstrous being could muster to a joke with his strange voice. However, it had a much deeper meaning to it. He was referring to him dying without moving forward. This place, as horribly pleasant as it was, had no real bearing on what was going on.

Cell was no fool though. He knew perfectly well how a troubled Saiyan would react. E The common Saiyan can be easily stressed and often attack easily like a wild animal. Broly was not a common Saiyan. To Cell, his power was not what made him "legendary" it was his rage. He and his massive experiences had never encountered a warrior who could fight with that much anger behind it blow. Most went mad, lost their ability to fight properly, and died a miserable death due to their power and rage overwhelming the mind.

Broly did not seem to have this problem. Somehow, up until now, he had been able to control his rage. Harness it to strengthen himself, but it was a caged beast. A beast who is eventually released form said cage, often kills the first one who subdued it. Broly had both gained a great advantage with this, but it might one day be the very reason for his death. Cell made sure to keep a note of this thought. After all, it might be at his very hands that his creature, this force of nature, was brought down and tamed.

" Then again maybe you're contemplating how you want to turn it into a smoldering crater of ash and fire?" he said, legitimately. He waited for the Saiyan to respond, and while he kept a neutral stance, his mind and body were still prepared for an attack. This would be an interesting night.

The Moonlight Empty Re: The Moonlight

Post by Broly 6/2/2012, 8:41 pm

Broly turned, slowly to face Cell, as if he were a ship turning to avoid an iceberg. The second his eyes fell upon the creature before him, they narrowed; this creature was a predator indeed, with a power that seemed to climb almost as quickly as his own. Of course, Broly had recently entered a period he referred to as stagnation, but that did not mean he was weaker than the thing before him in any way. He was still faster. He was still stronger, more capable. So it was understandable that while most people would have been ready to shit their pants at the mere sight of this creature and his dark strength, that Broly regarded him with what was best described as distaste and tolerance. He did not especially like the insect; he was rather fond of disliking him, however. Something about his carnivorous intent was bothersome, not quite threatening, but threatening to threaten his lead. Broly was the poster child for power, but this creature was the poster child for skill. It was for that reason that he regarded the thing with the expression he presently wore, a fixed gaze filled with scrutiny. Cell had become much stronger than before.

That itself should have been dangerous, but Broly continued to deem him incapable of killing the Legend. It took a warrior of immeasurable talent and strength to do something of the sort, after all. His boot crushing the flowers at his feet, Broly slowly stepped forward toward Cell, his face shifting into a disgusted scowl as he closed in with cautious pacing. He wasn't taking care to avoid the danger, no; he was being cautious to prevent his power from exploding and taking out the entire area. What did this creature know of him? What room did he possibly have to speak of 'suit' and 'type'? What was more insulting; what room did he have to speak of burials? Sure, Cell was perhaps the only killer with a body-count on Broly's plateau, but that did not make him superior or even equal. Also, sure, it was probably intended to be a joke, but Broly was not a very funny guy. Nor had he spent his nights watching late night comedy specials. Perhaps that was why he neglected to note the joking tone Cell spoke with, or maybe Cell's voice was simply monotonous.

Broly's body showed no signs of tension as he lazily lifted his left hand into the air, emerald energy bursting into green flame around it as his energy rose to the forefront of existence. He would not fuck around with this creature for much longer, regardless of what the boy said or did to prove to him that he was useful. Broly could, in this situation, have best been described as a wolf; wolves did not take kindly to other wolves moving in on their territory. His territory was existence itself, meaning that as long as Cell stood alive in his domain, Broly would rather have the pesky bastard dead somewhere. Then again, he doubted it would be so easy. Something about the thing's regenerative properties seemed near insane; rapid cellullar regeneration was not something Broly was capable of, nor something he was likely to ever understand. However, he did know one thing about it, from all the regenerative creatures he had slaughter ed in his time in the Universe. After a certain point, it was physically impossible for something to regenerate.

"Creature, you may think I am something to be taken lightly. You may mistake that Changeling's weakness for my own; you must need reeducation, if that's the case. Allow me to teach you the depths of my power, Insect, along with my own special brand of...Humor, hehe."

He let the last word linger, as his energy exploded out around his body, which was now being rocked by mild laughter. His right hand slowly swept across his chest, leaving a path of emerald light in it's wake as it moved. As Broly's hand stopped moving and the warrior turned to once again face the sky, the moon above, he grinned in a manner best described as maniacal. Aura flaring to life around him, the warrior again crossed his arms and turned his back to the creature, showing his complete disregard and distrust for/in Cell's strength. He would illustrate the overwhelming use of power that he held tightly in his grasp. As his body came to a halt, the energy suddenly burst forward in a barrage of lightning-like shards of ki, continually launching itself at the Monstrosity in one long rain of energy. He had learned the technique after observing Sairai's energy shaping it, taking it upon himself to master something more fully than he who perceived himself as his rival; what better way was there to combat something than to know it yourself? Fortunately for the warrior, the attack had other uses.

Uses best described when combating someone like Cell, who with enough pressure could be done away with.

The Moonlight Empty Re: The Moonlight

Cell could almost read the Saiyan's mind. He did not not really know if he should be take Cell seriously, or to view him as another bug. This quickly passed and he decided to put him in the 'bug' category. That was fine, He would show him once again that insects were some of the most dangerous creatures in existence. yes they were small, but because of that they evolved specialized ways to kill prey and defend themselves. Cell, in a way, was the height of that pathway.

If only he had a mouth, instead of this be-damned beak, he would be giving a very smug grin. Cell might not be able to kill this guy easily, or maybe even at all...but he couldn't kill Cell either. Overwhelming power was the key yes, but that also depending on very important factors. However he finally spoke, though it was his normal condescending speech. Frankly Gero's creation found it mostly to be full of shit.

"Creature, you may think I am something to be taken lightly. You may mistake that Changeling's weakness for my own; you must need reeducation, if that's the case. Allow me to teach you the depths of my power, Insect, along with my own special brand of...Humor, hehe." he said, and cell's eyes narrowed.

Not to glare, but in general annoyance and boredom. Did this Saiyan ever say anything that was actually different? Cell couldn't remember a single time in which Broly had said something to him that was not similiar to what was above. His annoyance and boredom and suddenly caused him to reach his limit for bullshit. He was going to take this new urge to kill out on broly in a twisted way to teach him something.

He watched the attack being created in front of him, and if he could he would smirk. This fool had used the same attack that Sairai had. If he could survive Sairai's, he could survive this. Despite that, he didn't want to get hit by it, it would be too annoying to have to heal. He decided instead to show this arrogant man what one can accomplish through training...and the murdering of several powerful individuals and eating them. Still, Cell did train, even if he didn't 'need' to exactly.

Cell waited until the moment his opponent eyesight left him when he turned around. He drew in a silent breath, and held it there. Everything stopped, the small line of energy had just begun to break and flow towards him. He had actually just frozen time. It was difficult to master this, none of his cells had any clue about it. However, being part Freiza he knew of it thanks to his underling Guldo. Guldo always reminded Cell of a dog and wondered if he should be given treats as payment.

Cell simply continued to hold his breath. After all, he could do this for a nearly unlimited amount of time. Frieza's ability to survive in nearly all conditions including the vacuum of space was so incredibly useful. Here, it allowed him to keep time stopped as long as he needed. That said, he didn't need long.

He walked over to Broly, facing him with the attack he just launched at his back. He mused for a moment about how arrogant and foolish he could be. He would try to change that for him now. First, he placed his hand upon the behemoth's chest, and drew out as much energy as he could. His aura became visible slightly and his muscled bulged a bit. This energy would be very helpful. He loved stealing his enemies power to destroy them. He them held out a finger, and began charging energy into it. He released his breath, the glowing tip of his clawed finger point at the heart of his opponent. He had overcharged this, just to get his point across more.

THe moment the lightning shower behind Broly launched and tore the ground asunder, Cell released his overcharged Death beam directly at this targets heart. Cell had backed up to just beyond arms reach, knowing that if he grabbed his hand he could redirect the blast. It burned the air as it blazed towards it's target, as if it was eager to burn a nice clean hole in Cell's target. Cell thought to himself a bit, about how often people seemed to think him too weak to be a threat. They simply did not understand, one did not need brute force to kill, one simply needed good aim and timing. Cell had both.

Broly on the other hand, lacked a very important factor for killing him with overwhelming force. That would be actually hitting his target.

The Moonlight Empty Re: The Moonlight

Post by Broly 6/4/2012, 1:57 am

As the the heat and smoke blasted against Broly's back, Cell's body appeared before his eyes, wearing what may have been a smirk and brandishing some form of energy at his fingertips. Broly's face betrayed none of his thoughts, as he prepared himself to take an attack that would probably be fatal to someone who was at the same level as his opponent. Fortunately, he was not at the same level as Cell, he was far ahead; he was far more powerful than anything Cell had been forced to deal with, to the best of the Legend's knowledge. How would the creature react when Broly resisted the attack meant to cripple him? Hopefully, he'd begin to realize the futility of facing off against a warrior of his caliber, of his reputation and ability. Some called Broly a prodigy, others called him a monster, a terror; they called him terms they understood, which was likely where the first mistake had been made. He could only wonder what Cell had chosen to call him; he honestly had little clue, and little care. All Broly knew was that the creature had clearly been mistaken.

As Cell's blast discharged from his fingertip, Broly's energy rose to his defense. It condensed around his chest, the point where Cell's blast was now springing toward with lethal intent, in an attempt to protect him. It was noticeable as Cell's blast entered his guard, that a rather large shield of energy had now begun to cover the Legendary Warrior's chest, protecting him as he stepped forward. The Death beam collided with Broly's barrier at high speeds, forcing his step forward to slow just enough to be noticeable. Of course, there was no grunt of pain, no sign that he had even acknowledged the blast. It had been reduced to heartburn level pain by his barrier, something that only served to fuel Broly's fire. He would not be defeated by such a minor technique, nor would he even acknowledge that it had existed in the first place. He felt that the best way to deal with the sting of a mosquito was to merely rip off the stinger, something easily accomplished for two reasons. Primarily; he was Broly. Lattermost, it was an insect.

As his step forward completed, the warrior's body suddenly faded from it's position, leaving behind little but an illusion in it's wake. To Cell, it may have looked like Broly was still standing there, face filled with annoyance and clearly expressing his distaste for the creature's tactics. He cared very little for Cell; this much was apparent to any possible onlookers. If the creature had come expecting some form of mercy, he had been mistaken in one of the most lethal varieties of the term; Broly did not expect to let this little (power wise, as Cell was taller than he was) thing live. He would kill it if it continued to pester him so, as he would have killed that little infant Kakarot, had he been capable of thought at the time. Unfortunately, everyone happened to make mistakes. Unfortunately for Cell, this was not a time where Broly was about to make one. This was more like a time where he was preparing to shatter something's fucking spine.

Energy accumulated in the warrior's fist as he appeared once more behind Cell, menacing intent clearly discernible. Thrusting his fist forward with back-breaking force, he aimed his blow at the area just above the tailbone, hoping to either break Cell's unbreakable back, or at least cripple him. Either result would have been more than acceptable, but Broly was honestly holding out for the possibility of thrusting his fist through Cell's midsection.

The Moonlight Empty Re: The Moonlight

Cell was a slight bit surprised that his opponent was able to muster that much energy so quickly even though he had absorbed some of his energy. However, thanks to that, he could also follow his opponents movement. After all, the energy inside of him wanted to return to it's masters body. He had subdued it enough that it wouldn't be very detectable to even a vigilant target. Broly was no such thing, simple pure destruction. Cell almost didn't need even his massive experience base to fight this 'man'. His attack strategy was so simple, so cowardly at times.

"What, can't attack from the front once someone's crushed your pathetic attack?" he said as the attack came in towards his back.

It was true, the attack would probably destroy his spine, but that meant little to him. He could always repair the damage, as he had plenty of extra energy to do so with. That did not mean, however that he would not make this attack be worse on his side. No, this would inflict massive damage to his opponent if he continued.

Cell quickly pointed his tail and put it against his opponents stomach. If he continued forward, a shield would not matter, his tail was already too close. He would pierce himself on the needle tip. Even if he got stabbed and moved away before he could start absorbing, his liver would recieve massive damage and cause him to die of blood poisoning. Well, if he managed to fight Cell off for that long in such a weakened state. The other option was to not move away quickly. If he was that stupid, Cell would gladly eat him and repair his back with 'legendary' cells.

He spoke quickly as his 'friend' appeared with the back breaking punch. His eyes still filled with disdain and hate. As much as he tried to play it off as Cell being a mere weakling, he could not truly deny it deep down... he felt threatened. This creature was something never encountered before, it's growth rate rivaling his own, which in and of itself was impressive. It's ability to regenerate from horrible wounds as if they were nothing. More importantly his ability to learn things at an incredible pace.

"Are you too afraid to attack me head on, you weak hearted fool." he said. His voice filled with malice and hate. Of course, it was always filled with such things unless he was musing or laughing at this opponents stupidity. This man seemed to deserve all of them at once, but that didn't matter too much. His malice was far more noticeable.

Even if the punch continued, he would not stop the next attack. He had been charging it since the behemoth began his counter attack. Even if his back was broken from the extreme force of his punch, he would spin around and create a glowing white line of energy. It would crack and break at point blank range. It would then shower forward, exactly like his last lightning shower, only this one was much closer. It was also filled with less arrogance as cell kept his eyes on his opponent, waiting for each and every opportunity to kill this man.

The Moonlight Empty Re: The Moonlight

Post by Broly 6/4/2012, 2:48 pm

As Cell’s words left his rather beak-like mouth, Broly’s rage met it’s boiling point. Energy swirled around him as he dived forward toward the creature’s back, his arm extending in less-than-perfect form in order to crack the thing’s fucking spine. He would not rest until this thing was paralyzed and done away with, regardless of the damage it had done to him. Gritting his teeth in a display of characteristic determination, the warrior continued forward with his Surging Punch, grinning darkly as it entered the creature’s guard. He knew that the thing’s counter attack would easily pierce through his body, but he cared so insanely little; it could have been a crime to care any less.

The creature’s tail pierced his body before anything else, forcing the Saiyan to release a guttural grunt from between gritted teeth, but not forcing him to halt. His body continued forward, arm extended in order to detonate against the creature’s back, which of course, it did. The attack slammed into Cell’s back with a loud ‘crack’, probably the sound of his armor shattering or Broly’s knuckles breaking; the Saiyan could not be sure. He didn’t honestly care. Any pain he had to endure to break this thing was beyond worth it, in his opinion. Even the pain of Cell’s tail piercing through his midsection did little to agitate the being more; Broly’s mind had already been filled with rage.

Had he been forced to endure any more of the creature’s taunts, the rickety sound of the damn thing’s voice even; he’d have scattered the thing to the wind. It was all he could do NOT to transform into his Oozaru state and destroy this thing before it had the chance to even flee. Broly was, for now, still stronger, still faster and still more powerful in general than the bothersome bug whose spine was probably shattering before him. He was still more alive, as well. That point however, was very debatable; Cell’s tail had gone all the way through Broly’s body, preventing absorption, but also providing him with a rather sizable dilemma.

As the fist exploded with energy at point blank range against Cell’s spine, Broly quickly reached for the creature’s tail. Provided he was able to grab hold of the green thing’s tail, the Saiyan would then yank hard in an attempt to pull Cell toward him. Right now, there was a white wall of energy amassing in front of the creature’s smug little guard, clearly intent on battering him with as much energy as possible. Unfortunately for Cell, Broly was not one to take such petty shit. Bearing both canines as he forced his way through the wall of energy (which he had recognized as energy of his own), the warrior thrust forward with his other hand. This fist was one very reminiscent of the attack he had just used; if you could call an upgrade reminiscent.

His fist thrust forward now, his upper body burning and the wound in his midsection cauterized by scattering shards of golden energy that was somewhat comparable to midnight. It was clear that he cared very little for the damage he sustained in order to break the creature before him; he would shatter this thing if it took all he had. That was simply his business; misery, pain, destruction, murder, slaughter. It was something he had become accustomed to, something he had grown up with. There was no stopping him from accomplishing these tendencies, no matter who it was that opposed him. Broly took pleasure in the above, he took pleasure in the ruin ever present on the faces of his victims. It was his equivalent to petting kittens. Everybody else enjoyed petting the little soft and fuzzy things, Broly enjoyed ripping them to shreds. It was just his upbringing, his nature; his father’s version of nurturing had been a bit...Vicious, for the tastes of any living creature. Who could blame Broly for such a thing? Surely, a father’s figure lurking in the moonlight was enough to drive any man insane, provided the father was Paragus. Provided the father was any with a child such as Broly. Provided they had a child beyond all control or comparison, a child whose fate was to ultimately end the entire universe as it was known; what man could blame Paragus? What man could blame his spawn? It was quite the debate.

“I will shatter your skeleton, insect! Your carapace will be ash!”, he screamed the threat as his fist came racing in toward Cell’s body, whether or not he had gripped the creature’s tail. The Ultra Punch had broken more powerful warriors than Cell; it would continue to do so. Was it really Broly’s fault that he wanted to break such a...Fragile looking creature? A creature who had deemed it worth the trouble, worth the time to trifle with something so clearly beyond his control? Surely it was not Broly’s fault. Surely, it was that fucking bug’s issue; a problem with him.

For as long as Broly held what power he did, it would never be his fault. Not when he had the power and the ability to deny self-blame, to avoid self-harm; Broly would never be the one hurt by himself again. Not when he could hurt others to avoid that issue.

The Moonlight Empty Re: The Moonlight

Cell made a grunt as Broly pulled him forward and dodged his lightning shower. It was actually incredibly painful to be jerked in such a way. After all Broly had just broken his own fist as he slammed it into Cell's carapace and spine...both of which shattered under his massive strength. Cell could not, and would not deny he was physically far weaker that his monster of a Saiyan. The monster found it quite annoying that his attacks had been so easily dealt with. He had hoped to either absorb his opponent or fill him full of holes. He did manage to pierce him with his tail, but the behemoth charged forward and allowed it to actually puncture through him. It was quite the bold and idiotic thing to do...as expected of his opponent. However, Cell had an idea about this entire situation.

That idea wouldn't coincide with his opponent however, who obviously was not satisfied with the damage he had inflicted so far. It was also expected that he wouldn't be, after all he had just shattered his back, but that was obviously not enough. He was now attacking with another fist full of power. In fact it was even more powerful than the first attack. If it connected it would likely rip Cell in half, which would not be pleasant. If he re-directed all of the absorbed energy into his arm and fist he could probably match the power enough to stop the blow with considerable damage to his own arm. He quickly decided this was the best option for the time being.

He pumped as much of Broly's and his own ki into his arm as he could without causing it to explode. His muscles bulged enough that it looked very odd. His right arm was over twice the muscle mass of his other arm. He could feel it, that this alone would not be enough to stop the incredibly powerful punch that was coming his way. He would have to do something more.

He surrounded his arm in telekinetic energy, producing something like a shield around him arm and hand. He was using his telekinesis to even reinforce his bones. He finished turning, throwing his right fist towards Broly's own. The two monstrously powerful punches came towards each other. Even without contact the wind around them was thrashing violently from all of the power.

Then they finally did clash, Broly's fist first meeting Cell's own shield. It lasted but just a moment, enough to slow it down and reduce the force, before it cracked and shattered like glass. He had torn through it like it was mere paper, but what else could one expect from this colossus of strength? His fist then meet Cell's Loud cracking sounds could be heard but Cell did not know if any of them belonged to his opponent. The collision of the two sent a shock wave and cracked the ground beneath them. Tree trunks cracked and then failed completely as many tree's around them fell over in different directions. A few trees even burst in splinters, unable to handle the extreme force between the two.

Broly's attack had been stopped, but Cell's arm had paid the price. Even with the shield and extra energy, he easily lost that exchange if one considered only the damage taken. He ground his beak together from the pain as all of the bones in his arm had been shattered. Splinters and sticking out from inside his carapace. His hand was mangled beyond description as a bloody gory mess. However, one could not just considering the damage taken when Cell was in the equation.

Cell laughed through the pain "Like any of this damage matters to me, fool!" He yelled as his left arm swiped quickly. Not at Broly, but at his own right arm. He lopped it off at the shoulder, and it hit the ground with a thud and a splat, making a strange sound. A moment later a new arm burst forth from his torso. His spinal cord reformed and dissolved the shards of bone inside of it, and his spine cracked a few times as it re-set itself. Soon all was healed and he stood, his tail still inside Broly's body. That was his chance, he had maneuvered himself perfectly. The warrior with legendary rage would not have the time to strike again after expending so much into one blow.

Cell had exploited his rage to the best extent he could. He couldn't kill the large Saiyan without considerable effort and a fair chance of death. On top of that, he would be picking his fruits too early if he attacked now. No he needed to wait, and he needed him to grow. More than that he needed him to grow a certain way. To achieve that he needed the idiot to see why his heart was weak and why he should not be so depressed about his power. Cell could relate, he had lost so much power himself. He had been far more powerful than Broly currently was before that damned child defeated him. He would show him this, and that was the reason he had taken so much damage.

He couldn't have done this before for two simple reasons; Broly's mind was shielded with ki and rage, making it incredibly difficult to gain access. However, Cell had now absorbed some of his ki and also was literally inside of him. Considering this and his very small time frame Cell had to act quickly. He reached inside of Broly's mind, still full of rage. It was truly deserving of being called 'legendary'. He could feel the damage in his mind, he was nearly broken by normal standards. He wasn't normal though, and because of that damage the green monster thought this would probably be more efficient.

He gathered his memories of everything that happened from waking up in a different time, before his Rebirth. It was quite a lot, but he was able to do it fairly easily. He then attempted to flood all of these into his mind. If he was lucky it would leave him Catatonic as he attempted to absorb all of the information.
