Fun Family Day (Goku, Chichi, Goten, and Gohan)

Chichi looked in the mirror as she pulled her raven hair into a bun. She took a deep breath and glanced at the bright digital numbers of the alarm clock. “Alright,” she said chipper to herself. “Two hours should be plenty of time to get a meal made for the boys before the days begun.

The shuffling of sheets pulled her away from the vanity. She looked to the plush bed to see her husband, Goku, rolling over to find a comfortable position. His mouth hung open as a loud snore escaped. She walked over to the bed and pulled the covers up over his chest, placing a kiss on his forehead. “Breakfast will be in two hours,” she whispered as he mumbled incoherently.

Chichi made her way down the hall, pausing at the first opened door, to check on her sleeping children. Her eldest son, Gohan, was sound asleep in his bed. She smiled as she looked at his innocent face. He held her likeness that was for sure. His hair was thick and black, and his eyes always had a look of determination and wisdom well past his eleven years of age.

She pulled the door closed quietly; making sure the sounds of cooking would not wake him, and made her way to the next door. A tiny bed in the corner held her youngest child, Goten. He was the spittin’ image of his father with unruly hair and an ever present curious expression on his face, like most seven year old children. She smiled when she noticed his tail peeking out from under the covers as she closed the door silently.

As Chichi made her way out to the farm house for some eggs, she thought about the world. Though she wanted nothing more than a life of peace for her children, she knew times were changing. She was grateful their father was not only a skilled warrior, but a patient trainer. That gave her every reason in the universe to be happy.

After grabbing breakfast supplies and checking on the radishes, Chichi made her way back into the kitchen to begin the large chore of creating what to most would be a breakfast feast. To her, however, this was the daily routine. Pulling out her largest skillet and mixing bowl, Chichi set to work. She threw two pounds of bacon into a heated pan. The searing heat made an almost screeching sound as the meat began to render and the salty aroma filled the house.

She then began to crack and whisk a dozen eggs, turning the bacon ever so often to avoid burning. Once it was finished, she drained the grease and lowered the heat, gently poured the eggs in and placed the skillet into the oven. After a few minutes she removed the steaming skillet and smothered the eggs with shredded cheddar, folding it into the traditional half-moon shape.

It wasn’t until then that Chichi heard the first signs of life in the house. She knew that oven omelets were one of Goku’s favorite breakfasts. He enjoyed them before a long day of training, so much that Chichi never had to wake him up for breakfast.

“Breakfast is ready,” she called out to the household. “Hurry up boys, you don’t want to waste your day of training!” She smiled as she set the table and waited for the playful growls and screams as Goku awoke the children, and made her way to her seat, nibbling on toast. It was moments like these she was happiest, with her little army of Saiyans, and her adoring husband.

The aroma of breakfast lured Goku from the depths of his slumber, just as it did most mornings. Chi Chi was an early riser, typically out of bed before he even gave two winks towards the daylight. She was cooking something then, and it smelled absolutely delicious. Kicking off the blankets and sheets he rose to his feet and gave a good stretch, the morning sunlight pouring in from the window warmed his muscular body.

It only took him a few moments to dress in his usual orange training gi. The gi itself was loose, flexible, and comfortable. He even had a customized version of it that was made of thick materials and interwoven weights, to burden him and help build muscle, but he chose not to wear that one this day.

The first stop on his journey was Gohan's room. His eldest boy was sound asleep still. Goku had somewhat expected him to be up early, as he usually was to do his schoolwork. Sitting on the bed next to him, he reached beneath the blankets and tickled the bottoms of Gohans' feet.

“Time for breakfast!”

Goku wanted nothing more than to bring his sons with him for training, but Chi Chi usually had it her way. He couldn't debate with her, because a good education would lead to far more success than learning the martial arts. Goku had spent his youth traversing the country side, fighting bad guys and learning sacred arts. His sons had a much more simple life, and in his opinion a better life, but he still wanted them to be prepared to defend themselves and their home with skill and prowess.

Once Gohan was opened eyed and ready to get up, he slipped away, headed to Goten's room. Rubbing his chin, Goku had a better idea for Goten, one far more mischievous, but the kid loved that kind of stuff. He jumped, sailing across the room and did a nimble forward flip. He landed on opposite end of Goten's bed with just enough subtle force to rock the mattress. Of course, he pulled his landing a great deal using a pulse spiritual energy to levitate. Chi Chi wouldn't he happy if he busted up Goten's bedframe.

The force of the impact would most likely send the kid flying into the air, only to come plopping back down on the bed. Goku knew the giggles were coming, but didn't stay around to wait for them. Food—it was his mission.

“Your mom is making breakfast, let's get to the kitchen before Gohan eats it all,” Goku said and trotted off, down the hall.

“Breakfast is ready,” Chi Chi said, just as Goku entered the room. “Hurry up boys, you don’t want to waste your day of training!”

“You hear that, we get to do some training today. It's going to be awesome,” Goku proclaimed as he plopped down in his chair, eager for the scrumptious meal his wife had made. He passed her an honest and endearing smile, the sort of smile that shimmered with his admiration and appreciation towards her.

Just like his enemies, the omelet could not endure the wrath of Goku. Heaping mounds of cheesy eggs were shoveled into his mouth. His cheeks clearly bulging as he chomped them to bits.

“Oh wow, honey, this is delicious,” he said before taking a long gulp from his glass of OJ.

Gohan felt the repeatedly soft touches onto his feet, he managed to free his
sight to see someone calling out "Time for breakfast!" It was his apparently his dad's voice and it was morning. "Wh-what?" Barely opening his eyes, but he could tell it was early morning by the beautiful sunlight that lit his room through the windows. He pushed his torso into a laying position, having a good yawn and a quick stretch. Of course, his eyes were currently fully opened and he wasn't lazy anymore.

He quickly jumped up with happiness conquering his thoughts, it was a new day and it was time for some training. But first, he needed something for his stomach to feed on before he could even contract a muscle. As he quickly removed his nightclothes and instead put on his usual blue gi. Eventually ending his wear and then advanced to the kitchen through the hallway. Seeing his parents were already having breakfast. A grin drew across his lips as he
immediately ran towards them and took a seat.

"Hey, dad! Hey, mom!"

He greeted them with pleasure, but he was interrupted by his growling stomach. A glare took place for a moment at his belly then he paid attention to his mom, she would know what was he asking for by the looks of his eyes. Afterwards, to the food that was vanishing into his dad's mouth. He was extremely starving but he shook the thought of his head as he realized he would do the same thing just in a few minutes to come. "So, dad. Are we training today?"

He feared that his mother might decline by claiming that he had to do some schoolwork, it was extremely boring. But he knew he must do that so he can be normally educated just like any other child on Earth. He took a quick lookout for his younger brother, his eyes began searching for any figure around. It seemed the Goten was still asleep, but he would get up any minute right now.

Goten was dreaming that he and his family were rich, almost as rich as Hurcule, and that they lived in a mansion.

Goten woke up giggling just as his fathered planned, Goten yawned and opened up his window, he looked at the sun and then the world surrounding his eyes, he listened to the animals as a deer came up to his window, he giggled some more and started to pet the deer.

He got up and thought he would wear something different that day, fore he thought that today would be a special day.

Goten put on a special green and red colored Gi with his original black belt, it had the symbol “Family,” Goteh ran down the hallway, letting his tail go free, he sat down beside’s his brother and greeted everyone.

But their mouths were to stuffed to even reply, but he didn’t mind, because once he smelled that Egg & Cheese Omelet, it was already half way down his stomach.

He started to eat ton’s of them until he felt until he felt stuffed but that was a misunderstanding.

Goten drank his Orange Juice and then he stopped for a moment, he looked at his mother and then his father.

Goten could tell from the look of their eye’s that they loved him self.
His father was proud and his mother, he could tell right off the bat the his mother was glad to have two grate children she could love and a husband that always came through for her and her family.

Goten finished his breakfast and got up, “I love you” Goten said hugging his father and kissing his mother on the cheek.

Goten ran out side and started playing with the animal’s, he rode on the deer that looked through his room, he held the dog that jumped on him, and he started to run with the dinosaurs.

He laughed so loud, his whole family heard as they saw him through the window.

“Breakfast is ready,” Chi Chi said, just as Goku entered the room. “Hurry up boys, you don’t want to waste your day of training!”

“You hear that, we get to do some training today. It's going to be awesome,” Goku said as he took his seat at the table. Chi Chi had already served the food on the plates and he shot her a look of adoration. All these years and two children later she still felt that fluttery feeling when he gazed at her like that. It was an unspoken love, deep like the ocean.

Chi Chi watched as her husband began to shovel food into his mouth. “Oh wow, honey, this is delicious,” he said before taking a long drink of his orange juice.

“The way you’re eating I am surprised you can even taste anything at all, “ she said rolling her eyes with a smile.

"Hey, dad! Hey, mom!" Gohan’s voice sounded from behind Chi Chi.

“Good morning, sweetheart,” Chi Chi said giving her son a warm smile. The endearing moment was quickly interrupted by a loud rumble. She watched with amusement as Gohan glared at his stomach. She scooped a large helping of food onto his plate and set it before him.

"So, dad. Are we training today?" Gohan asked with a fearful look towards his mother.

Chi Chi cradled her mug of coffee in her hand giving it some thought before she spoke for Goku, who was clearly unreachable while eating.

“You know how I feel about you boys fighting over studying,” she said with a pause looking into her son’s hopeful eyes. “Your father and I have decided, however, that regardless you boys need to learn to defend yourselves. Once breakfast is over you will begin your training. But you better get every ounce of homework finished tonight or its double chores for you this week” she said with a wink.

Not long after she heard the tiny, yet heavy, footsteps of Goten running down the hall. She glanced to see he donned a different outfit than his usual gi. Chi Chi let out a small giggle as his tail swished to and fro with each step towards his seat.

Goten sat at the table and quickly began to inhale the food that was set before him. He was so much like his father, it was almost eerie. Once his plate was cleared, he gulped his orange juice and ran from the table out to the yard with little more than a rushed “I love you,” to his parents.

Chi Chi followed to the door to find him atop one of the deer. “Goten! Don’t you run far! You’re training today, and for Kai’s Sake, don’t hurt the animals!” She hollered before turning to Gohan and Goku.

“Leave your plate when you’re finished, Gohan. Please go easy on your brother today.” She walked to the sink to start the dish water and heard Goten giggle loudly. She glanced out the window to see him running around the yard with half a dozen small dinosaurs. She turned to Goku as he was finishing up the last scraps on his plate. “I suggest you hurry before he runs off with the reptiles again. He’s just like you at that age,” she said with a grin and turned to finish the dishes.

“I suggest you hurry before he runs off with the reptiles again. He’s just like you at that age,” Chi Chi said just as Goku finished the last crumbs of his omelet. His plate was completely barren.

“No worries, I'll take care of him,” Goku said, a proud expression written across his facce.

During the meal he had been drowning out much of the background noise. Ever since he was a small boy, Goku had always had a ravenous metabolism. While most people would feel lethargic and tired after eating such a massive serving of food, Goku only felt more awake and ready to start things off. He walked his plate over and set it in the foamy dishwater, giving Chi Chi a quick peck on the cheek.

Goten had already charged off outside. The thundering sound of dinosaur steps indicated what he was up to. Goku had been quite surprised with Goten's affinity for animals, especially large reptilian ones. So, when he stepped outside into the warm sun, he wasn't taken aback by the vision of Goten running with a twenty foot T-Rex. The beast had deep brown scaled skin and large rows of razor sharp teeth. As Goten zipped between his legs, Goku could see sticky saliva dripping from the giant preadator's mouth.

“Come on boys, let's go down by the river. I have a special training for you today,” Goku called.

The river was quite large. Cold spring water and glacial melt poured in from the mountains to the north. Goku lived in fertile, but hilly land. As the river made its descent from the higher altitudes it turned into rushing white-water rapids.

Goku stood at the edge of the water, the soft spray tickling his face. It was quite hot outside, so he couldn't help but feel refreshed. After their training session he had no doubt he himself would take a swim. But, his first goal was to get the boys started on their training.

“Under the stream there are all sorts of nooks and crannies. Inside those, big catfish sometimes lurk. I want you two to go down there and find the biggest catfish you can and bring it up here. Keep ind mind though, you can't hurt them, not one bit,” Goku said and then wagged his finger.

It was easier said tha done, Goku knew that, hence why he was giving them the task. The river was moving fast, so it would test their strength and swimming skills. Also, the catfish were heavy and aggressive. They would charge out of their holes and slam hard enough to leave a bruise, or on a lesser man, break a rib. His sons were far more hardy than your usual man, but they would find holding their breaths and struggling with a giant fish not the easiest of tasks.

Gohan chomped down his last bit of his meal, the omelet was delightfully delicious as he devoured his meal with pleasure. He copied the step's of his father's and placed his plate into the dishwasher. "Later, Mom!" He trotted to the door as he waved back to his mother, not wishing to be arrogant to her when he left. However, he watched with shock as Goten was riding a giant t-rex by the meadow. Gohan was likely the same at his age and it was obviously fun to interact with animals all over the wilderness.

“Come on boys, let's go down by the river. I have a special training for you today,” His father's voice called out by the river, swimming was one of his favorite activities, but there must be some challenge to be training this time. The teenaged Sayian raced to the river. He observed with happiness as he heard the beautiful sound of the rushing current, it was almost paradise. But it won't be once he had started his training.

“Under the stream there are all sorts of nooks and crannies. Inside those, big catfish sometimes lurk. I want you two to go down there and find the biggest catfish you can and bring it up here. Keep ind mind though, you can't hurt them, not one bit,” His dad instructed both him and Goten, it was quiet a challenge as he predicted, but it wouldn't be much of a problem if they worked together in catching the catfish.

Gohan understood that a catfish wouldn't be polite in letting them hunt it, they would eventually end up with bruises and simple wounds all over him. But Gohan had confidence that he and Goten can do this, no matter what, he had to succeed in this session. He wouldn't easily let his dad down, after all.

“Hop to it!”

"Alright!"

The last sentence excited the bits out of him, he immediately removed his upper torso of his gi and his shoes, leaving only his pants to swim by. As swimming with full clothes would be extremely irritating when he gets out of the water.
He quickly ran to the edge and took a diving jaunt. Almost touching the rocky dirt under the stream, but luckily, he landed safely. He swam upwards to take a breath before he can begin his task.

The current was quiet strong, but his well built physic was facing it with no problems at all, he rose his thumb towards his dad as a grin drew across his face, then quickly took a deep breathe before he sank again into the water.
As it happened, his sight was blurred and he could barely see anything infront of him. This task was obviously gonna be called serious training.

Goten was on the back of a giant T-Rex, he was laughing and giggling when he heard his father,

“Come on boys, let's go down by the river. I have a special training for you today,”
Goten's father said as Goten patted the dinosaurs head and jumped off.

Goten started running until he came across his Father and his Brother.

"Hi dad, what are we doing today?" Goten asked his father, looking at the water then back to his father.

“Under the stream there are all sorts of nooks and crannies. Inside those, big catfish sometimes lurk. I want you two to go down there and find the biggest catfish you can and bring it up here. Keep in mind though, you can't hurt them, not one bit,” His father answered

Goten took off his special Gi, and all was left were his pants and his undershirt.

Goten also took off his shoes, and then his tail roamed free as he dived into the water.

Goten could hold his breath for a long time so he was set, Goten started diving deeper until he saw a crack that was big enough for his hand to fit in.

Then Goten stuck his hand in there until something bit him, Goten reached his hand's farther in and then he pulled out a guppy.

Goten took his hand out and pulled the crack apart and then he saw something.

3 minutes later Goten burst out of the water carrying a Catfish that was 6.2 feet long.

He set the fish down, put on his shirt and started flying around in the sky, waiting for his father's command.

Chi Chi stacked the last of the dishes into the strainer and dried her hands on a towel. She stepped outside to see what Goku and the children were up to. She caught sight of them along the edge of the forest, Goku’s voice carried on the wind. The only distinct word she could make out was the word river.

Chi Chi stepped back into the kitchen and removed the picnic basket from the top of the refrigerator. She retrieved some ice packs from the freezer and set them along the bottom of the basket. She had prepared lunch for the boys the night before. If her guess was right, and it usually was, they would be hungry again very soon from all the swimming Goku had in store.

Once the meal was packed, Chi Chi made her way down the wooded path to the river. She could hear Goku’s voice just beyond the trees. “I want you two to go down there and find the biggest catfish you can and bring it up here. Keep in mind though, you can't hurt them, not one bit.”

As Chi Chi emerged into the clearing she saw her sons enter the water. She walked up behind her husband and gave him a small peck on the cheek, returning his affection from earlier. “Noodling dear? Do you honestly think this will help them defend themselves?” Her question was a bit harsh, but her feelings were clear. Goku knew if her boys weren’t studying they better be learning something important.

Just then Chi Chi ‘s attention was diverted to her youngest child. Goten seemed to be struggling under water for a moment. Chi Chi could feel panic rise in her chest. She was relieved when her son finally surfaced for air, but he wasn’t alone. Goten carried a giant catfish with him.

“Oh that’s wonderful, Goten!” Chi Chi exclaimed loudly.

She then turned quietly to her husband and whispered low so as not to be heard. “Didn’t you say last night the children needed to practice team work darling? Maybe you should tell him to work with his brother.”

Both of the boys jumped into the water, eager to catch themselves a big fish. The first to break the surface was young Goten. The boy scame ashore and dropped a wriggling catfish. Goku let a low whistle out. It was gargantuan for a freshwater fish, far taller than an average man. If his son had not had such unnatural strength, Goku would have been baffled on how he was able to wrangle it. It had smooth black skin and a robust white belly, most likely filled to the point of bursting with fish.

“Oh that’s wonderful, Goten!” Chi Chi said.

Goku hadn't expected his wife to follow him down to the river for the training. Typically she busied herself with housework, or watching some of her favorite TV shows. He was more than glad for her presence.

The catfish's cavernous maw opened and closed as the beast gasped for air. Despite the triumph, Goku didn't plan on eating the beast, nor did he like to let anything suffer. He reached down and grabbed it by the tail, hoisting it over his shoulder. Walking over to the water's edge, he dropped it into the rushing waters. It's big tail slapped the surface of the water, spraying Goku, as it descended back into the depths.

“That was a great catch,” Goku said to Goten, patting him on the top of his scruffy head. He pointed towards the deep blue waters. “I think your brother is still down there. I bet you he has a big one. Why don't you go back down there and help him wrangle it? Team work, it's dream work.”

After wiping the slimy catfish goop from his hands onto his gi bottoms, Goku walked over and slung his arm around Chi Chi's shoulders, pulling her into the nook of his arm.

“I'm so happy that our sons got my strength and your wits,” Goku said before kissing her forehead.

Barely seeing anything, he could feel some powerful waves underneath the surface, rushing by him, he could tell that something was coming this way. Fortunately, he saw a massive shade in the distance, he tried to focus his blurred sight for a moment, being completely wary from the giant structure's speed. In an instant, his body had an incredible force pushing him apart the river. His head twisted slightly from the sudden collide, whilst his pupils managed to recognize what was behind him. It was apparently a catfish that was either angry or afraid of Gohan.

He narrowed his eyes as he couldn't slip himself from the impact, it's jaws were far more bigger than himself. If he could say, this one was a giant one for it's species. Gohan's breath had almost been emptied and if he stayed that long without air, he's finished. But he had the same confidence, either with Goten's help or without it. He had to get this bastard out of the water, but he could remember his mind return to somewhere in the past where his father told him not to hurt the fish.

"Great, if I don't do anything soon, I'm done for!"

Gohan's anger consumed him as he had no choice but to power up, the white aura should be invincible in the crystal liquid. But it would send tremendous waves from the surface. However, his muscles contracted as he managed to pause the the fish's attack, quickly enhancing this chance in jaunting upon the creature's spine and landing a bear-hug onto it's tail.

Fortunately, he managed to crush his finger's into shore's edge. Planting his hand to support him in his climb, and the other hand followed after, pulling the creature apart from it's home and successfully removing it from the water. He settled the fish that was wobbling apart, begging for water. He didn't have the energy anymore to let it escape now, but he had to wait for his dad to study it's features before it could enter the river again.

His back slammed with a sudden into the dirt, he could barely catch his breath from the exhaustion he couldn't take underwater. His eyes were completely shut, as well as his chest that began increasing in mass according to every pant that entered and exited his mouth. He staid in this condition for almost a minute, waiting for his dad from the spot he had entered and travel to the one he had exited from. Gohan himself traveled a great distance underwater.

:OOC: I'm horribly sorry for not posting. I told Brian to go ahead and tell you guys to wrap this up without me. This will be my final post. My family from Florida is up, I haven't seen some of them in 9 years. I am trying to make the most out of this week with them before the wedding.

Chi Chi watched as her husband walked over to their youngest child and inspected his catfish. “That was a great catch,” Goku said to Goten, ruffling his already unruly hair. “I think your brother is still down there. I bet you he has a big one. Why don't you go back down there and help him wrangle it? Team work, it's dream work.”

“Really, honey?” Chi Chi said as she placed her palm onto her head. “Goku, where do you come up with this stuff?”

She watched as Goku released the giant fish and whipped his hands on his pants. She let out a sigh, knowing that she would have to do another load of laundry after tonight or the house would smell like fish slime from the boy’s clothes.

Goku gave her a smile and walked over resting his arm around her shoulder. It was hard being mad at him when he showed her small moments of affection. “I'm so happy that our sons got my strength and your wits,” Goku said and kissed her forehead.

“Well, if you want them to keep my wits, you need to get on to them more about doing homework, Goku,” she said with an all knowing look.

Just then another loud splash echoed through the trees. Chi Chi looked over to see Gohan struggling towards the shore with a large fish. She let out an excited yelp and clapped her hands for her sons before elbowing Goku slightly. “Well, don’t stand there. Go help him, I have to get back to the house and start dinner. Make sure to feed them lunch. It’s in the basket over there.” She said pointing to the rock.

Chi Chi began to walk towards the small house. Just before she was out of earshot she hollered to the boys. “Don’t think I’ve forgotten, you’ll both be doing your homework after dinner!”

Satisfied with the last word she made her way between the trees until she found the path that would lead her home. All the while she wondered what to make for dinner and prepared for the small army sized meal she would have to cook.

Goten smiled as his parents rubbed his head.

He was happy that his parents were proud of him,
but Goten wanted more of a challenge.

"Daddy, watch this!" Goten then jumped into the stream and swam even deeper into the water till it was pitch black.

Goten made an aura and light appeared, he swam around, and still had alot of breath.

He came across a gigantic fish, but didn't know what kind of fish it was.

It had gigantic bloody teeth, black skin, a fin on the back, and a giant mouth.

It started sniffing the water and then it chased Goten.

Goten swam as fast as he could, he came above the water and jumped as the shark bit of the bottom of his boot's.

Goten started flying, he put his hands to his side in a cuff and started charging a beam.

"Kamekameha!" He shouted as he blasted a beam right into the Shark's mouth.

It's stomach lit up, and it's eyes turned red, the beam came bursting out of his stomach and a bunch of bloody green fish came swimming out, Goten grabbed the Shark and put it on shore.

"When we gonna eat dad, i feel like sea food!" Goten said laughing as a crab came crawling out.

Goten smiled, he flew over and asked to play with his father, he jumped on Goku's back and started to enjoy this wonderful Father-son-bond.

Goten then stopped and looked for Gohan.

"Where's Gohan?" he began looking where he found Gohan lying on the ground, breathing hard.

"Hiya Gohan!"

Goku paced the water's edge, waiting for Gohan to emerge once again from the rushing depths of the river. The fish Goten had pulled out had been quite impressive, but he figured Gohan had gone deeper, in search of a much larger catch.

He could sense Gohan's spiritual energy, he was still alive, still very much alive. That was always good. The benevolent warrior was prepared to dive in after his son at any moment, had something gone wrong.

A few bubbles began to surface, rolling across the top of the stream. Goku's eyes narrowed in anticipation. He couldn't help but be curious about what was going on down there. Gohan had been submerged for at least two or three minutes.

Goku felt a spike in Gohan's spiritual energy and suddenly he broke free, surfacing. He dragged himself onto the shore, gasping for air. The mother of all catfish plopped down onto the shoreline. It's massive paddle like tail kicked up dirt and stones as it struggled to wiggle itself self back to the water. Black mud and slime covered its body,making it look like some primordial beast. Goku knelt down and shoved his hands into its mouth, grabbing hold at the ridge behind the rows of sharp teeth.

It struggled in his grip, but soon tired out. Goku shoved his hand into the top of its skull, crushing its brain and killing it instantly. He didn't like the idea of it suffocating.

“Whoo-hoo, Gohan! We're eating good tonight buddy,” he said and set the fish down gently next to the brush. Walking over, he knelt down and helped his son up. “Let's get you home, you did great.”
