Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek) Empty Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek)

Post by Sigea 7/11/2012, 10:55 pm

Sigea had gotten information. When he landed on Namek he found a city nearby with a female demon waitress. Her name was Lamp and the information she had was priceless. It was probably normal knowledge for those that lived on Namek but he was indeed grateful. It was widely respected across the universe that Nameks were masters of using their kinetic energies to do many things. It was even rumored that the elders mastered their technique to such a state that creation was possible.

Sigea wanted to meet these 8 great Nameks. He did not know where to start however. “Lamp… I want to meet these leades of Nameks. Is it possible for an outsider to hold an audience with them?” Lamp shook her head. “Nameks are really protective of their holy elders. In their eyes these beings are gods that walk among them, chosen only by the highest of elders the Grand Guru himself.” Sigea stood up from his seat on a rock. Lam and him were on the outskirts of a city talking. There were things he still wanted to know about this planet and Sigea indeed had to meet these folk to find true power.

Sigea flew forward from his position and landed off of the ledge. He looked back at Lamp who sat and waved at him. He nodded his head and turned around as his body lifted quickly off the ground with a jolt of his energies. His arms were forward and his legs and tail were straight behind him as his body bolted through the air of Planet Namek. He went over the map in his head and remembered there being a marking on it that said something about Slug.
Sigea paused in the air for just a bit and took out the map of Namek Lamp given him. The points were located with Numbers and names. He stopped a finger and pointed at it. It read “Monastery of Rock.” Sigea folded the map and placed it in it’s holder again as he flew off towards this Monastery which was approximately south of his location. It was secluded in the depths of the mountains.

After a good twenty minutes of flying he could see the mountains in the range of vision. Here is where things got trickey. As he headed to the Mountains he felt himself being forced down. The very energy he used for flying was not being stolen… but he was unable to use it. The Changeling began to fall down to the plains below him with his arms wailing about. As he reached the ground he slammed down on his knee’s causing an eruption of rock of ground to plummet upwards and down around his position. He looked up towards the mountain after standing and then down at his hands. Was he low on Ki? Couldn’t be. Again he tried flying but to no use, something was keeping him down. He gritted his teeth and began to walk. This was the old fashioned way of travelling and was not used to this kind at all. His anger was rising as he determined to not only meet the elder of this Monastery but also find out why he cannot fly.

Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek) Empty Re: Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek)

The eight elders great Namekians. Fathers of the people of Namek and sons to Guru led their various villages and were protected by the best of the best of Namekian warriors. One of them would take Guru's place once he passed and another would take their place to breed more Namekians. It was the cycle of the Namekian people. It kept their population under control to avoid their past aggressive mistakes with the Super Nameks that only sought conquest.

It was now legend that the great storm that nearly destroyed all of the Namekians was their punishment. With Guru the only one left on namek, he sought to change their ways and created a peaceful planet. Though many still wanted to be warriors and many more had tested their peaceful resolve over and over. Many had thrown down their vow of peace in order to protect their elders. These were known as the Elites. Maybe only about one percent of the namekians went this route, the rest became fathers and farmers.

The Monastery of Rock was the home to an Elder known as Sewiver. Father of over two thousand. He was protected by five of the Elites. He was a man that was known as a sorcerer, able to manipulate energy. He regularly went to villages and put on a show for the kids, turning his own energies into a brilliant light show that put many in awe, even the elites admired his control over his own kinetic energy. And many tried to duplicate it, but failed with scars to prove it.

Two of those five had come down a set of stairs that vanished between two large boulders and around cliffs. Both looked seasoned, scars covering their bodies from energy and weapons. Both had noses that looked like they had been broken before. It was unclear though if it was simply because of the rigors of training, or they have had to fight several times before. Either way, their powers were massive in comparison to most that resided on this planet and rivaled some of the best warriors in the Galaxy.

"Halt friend. State your purpose for being here." The one on the right spoke. Slightly larger than the other one.

Options:
Try and talk them into letting you visit the elder
Try and fight your way through them
Look for an alternate path
Leave and try and see if you will have better luck at another location

Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek) Empty Re: Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek)

Post by Sigea 7/14/2012, 8:43 pm

Sigea looked on to the two Nameks. They were towering over his form, by more than a full foot. Many could look and say that he was outmatched by the sheer mass of both green warriors but looks very well can be deceiving. Friend, a term thrown out there to describe Sigea. He was asked a question on what pleasure did he have of being in the Monastery. He looked them up and down and noticed the one that spoke to be the biggest one. He looked over to the smaller one and saw a similarity in the two; their noses were broken in the same way, even looking in the same direction it made them looked like twins especially since no Namekian had hair. It was hard to distinguish who was who aside from their height.

Sigea thought to himself about how he should go about this. Time seemed to halt for a moment as he went through a vision of what was to come. He could very well rid himself of the Nameks in front of him but that would definitely cause the Monastery to be on edge and other warriors could come and he could be dealt with by superior fighters. He realized he was nowhere near the best in the universe so he had to play his role accordingly. Coming back to reality he returned the pleasantries to the taller Namekian.

“Greetings friend. I am new to your planet of produce and wish to speak with the elder of this Monastery. I have wish to learn more of your culture as im travelling the universe to learn more about other species, a right of passage for my kind. May I have an audience with the Elder?”
Sigea’s words held a tone of grace in them. They were underhanded and full of lies. He would use this chance to learn anything he could about the Nameks as a society. There cultural outlooks and even if they were a threat for him to note later on. He was scouting the universe indeed, scouting it in order to grow to the level where he could destroy Amora and possibly take on the likes of Planet Frieza. He noticed that they just stood there upon his arrival. There was no real entrance he seen so how did they manage to do it? Where had these Namekians come from? It was almost as if they were scared. The eyes from beneath his hood darted around him as he took in the environment. He noticed that each wore cloth that was firm to the body but loose and comfortable. This showed signs that they didn’t want to feel hindered at any situation; the mark of a warrior.

He took in all the sights to see as if his words were taken with malice he would have to proceed accordingly. He did not want to raise trouble unnecessarily for it would throw his appearance on the planet out of whack. Even though they had primitive technology there was a way for each village to communicate with the rest and that is what he feared. So he definitely had to let his motives lay hidden and wash the truth from their eyes.

From the strangers words, they looked at one another again as if they were conversing silently. Then they looked at the newcomer. They tail was a painful give away to what race this one was, but with so many races in such a small galaxy, they wanted to be sure.

The smaller one spoke. "Remove your hood friend. We will need to see if you are trustworthy or not. If you wish to not remove your hood, then maybe you can find a village to learn about our ways. But the Elders are precious to us and we cannot trust everyone who comes by. Surely you understand."

Options:
1) Remove Hood and follow their directions
2) Leave and find some place else to get the info needed
3) Attack

Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek) Empty Re: Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek)

Post by Sigea 7/15/2012, 3:11 pm

The word was thrown back yet again. Friend. A word that denounced a bon of some sort to another individual. A connection that made it known you and another were close; not as family but almost similar and in some instances better than family. This word was thrown out twice now, from the taller Namekian. It had a hint of disgust in it, Sigea could tell. The tone of the voice, the way the word rolled off the tongue of the green guardian.

Not only was this word thrown out there but another request was asked. This request would surely raise suspicion of his wanting to meet the elder of the monastery. It was for the removal of his hood. Surely those could see through the fabric that the horns, the large skull and on the side of his body hung long arms, like he was handicapped. It had to be ever-present knowledge and the act of his tail was there. Namekians were not known for their idiocy and this was just a common knowledge although the universe was large and other species could have tails and horns. He noticed the two Nameks looked at one another as if having a conversation. Could the Nameks have a way of conversing without actually speaking or did they have a mutual thought?
Would he take off his head wear and expose what he was? Would he say screw the Nameks and find another place? Would he fight, forcing his way through and ordering chaos to his location? No! He would not back down or turn this into a battle. He would do as they asked… these ‘Friends’

needed his hood o be taken off, Sigea would surely oblige. Whatever was needed to gain power. These Nameks had techniques and ways of fighting and he needed to incorporate them into his being. He slowly raised a hand and grabbed the cloth over his forehead and pulled the cloth forward over his face. A shining horn could be seen on the sides of his head. They were connected to a blue core at the top of his head and a pale face. The cloth was held in his hand in front of the two Nameks and he awaited what they would do since he agreed to their demands.

The bigger Namekian smiled and nodded. They both knew the changeling could simply just try and kill them, but this one was not like that. This one, if evil, had patience and was calm. Though they could see in his eyes he would not harm the elder. He wanted something else. The dragon balls? Those who sought the elders generally wanted them, but it wasn't always the case.

"I am Ligor, and this is Veref. Please follow us Changeling. The Elder has been expecting you." With that both turned and headed towards the steps that led up into the cliffs. Without seeing if he was following, they headed up the stair way that seemed to go on forever. Soon ornate statues surrounded them as they arrived at a plateau that was further surrounded by more cliffs.

An older Namekian stood in the center with three other younger ones. By the looks of the chisel and hammer in his hand and the large chunk of stone that was partially formed into some kind of bird.

"It is good to finally meet you. I am Elder Sorin. I knew of your coming. Unfortunately, I had wished to have this done, but old age and the need of others have interrupted as it seems. Now tell me, what is it I can do for one of the Changelings?"

Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek) Empty Re: Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek)

Post by Sigea 7/24/2012, 2:14 am

Introductions. In peaceful cultures it might be necessary but to Sigea, knowing their names was completely useless to him. They were just steps to him. Steps that he would use to reach his goal. Whether their names were green or zit, didn’t really hold any importance to him. He would have preferred to not know their names; but such is not the Namekian way it seems. And there it was again. The bane of many in the galaxy it would seem. They had mistaken him like far too many others. It was disrespectful, daunting and downright annoying to him to be called such an individual.

He was an Icer. He was proud of what he was and hated the fact that many could not differ between the two. Maybe it was better this way for them to not know who or what he really was. He nodded as they motioned for them to follow them. The strange thing though is one of them uttered something puzzling to him. The elder seemingly had been expecting him to come. Either this was customary on Namek to say such things to confuse one or these Nameks were quite the race. But how? How could this elder know Sigea was coming? E puzzled as he entered into the Monastery walls.

He looked around his statues began to form around his area. It seemed like a true monastery indeed. Inscriptions could be seen on plates denoting philosophies of life here and there. He curled dup a lip as he reached the inside where 3 more Namekian stood, at the center of the large surface. Sigea moved forward as the other two Guards outside of him ‘escorted’ him along. Upon reaching the enter there was a Namek holding a tool and a piece of stone in his hand. Architecture? It seemed a trait for this monastery as Sigea remembered the statues.

Pleasantries were thrown the Icer’s way as the Elder spoke aloud. His name was Sorin and no doubt the two on the side of him were his body guards or trusted disciples. He spoke and said he had been expecting Sigea and that he wish to finish things but wanted to know why he came here.

Sigea folded his arms and looked around. Upon taking three steps he looked at each of the three Namekians. He felt it was a sign of respect and since he had to play this farse, he might as well go all the way. “Firstly, How did you know I was going to come here elder Namek? And what I want?” I wish to learn about the Namekian ways. I have begun a journey around the seven galaxies to find out all I can about different species, cultural and all. I feel it will help me grow…”

Sigea said with the gentlest of voice. He needed to sound sincere and not brash. Nice and not condescending. He had his arms folded just so others would not think he would attempt anything. Tey of course eye’d him like hawks for their food. For good reason. Sigea planned on offing this old man If He did not find out anything satisfactory or to his liking. Sigea watched with his red eyes as Nameks around the Monastery looked and whispered as he stood dead center.

Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek) Empty Re: Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek)

Post by Game Master 7/24/2012, 11:06 am

The Namekians watched as the changeling walked around, looking at the statues and inscriptions. “Firstly, How did you know I was going to come here elder Namek? And what I want? I wish to learn about the Namekian ways. I have begun a journey around the seven galaxies to find out all I can about different species, cultural and all. I feel it will help me grow…”

Even to the elder, this was unusual for a changeling to be requesting such a think. They had always been about themselves, power, and money. Mostly power. To the changelings, everyone needed to bow to them and adopt their culture. Unless he was planning an invasion, then it was the first changeling they've seen that had put aside their arrogance to do so.

The elder had to find out his purpose, but how without causing a battle. He pondered a moment, then spoke. "Many of us can see when events happen. They are generally rare even among those with the 'sight'. But please, ask your questions and I shall provide you with what I know. Or point you in on the right path to get the answers you seek."

Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek) Empty Re: Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek)

Post by Sigea 7/24/2012, 8:11 pm

He spoke directly to the guardian as a common folk. This old Namek talked back and told him to ask anything he desired. It was here that Sigea would unleash a bit of who he is. “I require strength. My home world… taken over by a Tyrant of a sister race of mines. Many of you think me as a Changeling but I am actually an Icer. Similar to how many races have tier’s of races within their own living space, as do we.”

Sigea sometimes talked a bit much in explanations but never would he divulge information that would lead to his demise. He treaded carefully with his tongue as it sang the story of his aim, his mission. “This tyrant has enslaved my people, killed my family, and even banished me from my home. I have gone out to seek power only to free my world from it’s peril. Each race of beings have different technique’s, skills, and ways of living that can be utilized. If I can learn even a bit of what the Namekians have here, I can extract peace onto my planet and return to conquer the tyrannical monster back home.”

He looked around as the Nameks looked on to him. Their eyes callously watching his body. Some of them may not have believe his words but everything he had said at that moment held to be true indeed. His family was destroyed. He was enslaved and banished. The only par the left out is that it was his sister. Now he hoped they would answer his questions he would have for them now. He had noted that he knew the race had to hold some sort of technique or ability that separated them from the multitude of things out there.

“Now you know I want power. I need power to save not just myself but others like myself. Tyranny does follow the Changeling sof my world but believe me; Friend… I am no monster. I cannot atone for what they have done nor correct it. I just move forward and do best as I can. Is there anything that you know of about Namekian culture that could help me in dealing with such a plague? A plague of destruction needs to be wiped clean from my memory and many others. "

Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek) Empty Re: Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek)

Post by Game Master 7/27/2012, 10:06 am

The Elder looked deep into the Icer's eyes. He couldn't tell if this one was truthful or not. Changelings themselves couldn't be trusted, but he hadn't ever met an Icer before. There were no physical differences. He placed the hammer and chisel on top of the statue he was carving. In all his years of being an elder, he hadn't had someone from another culture ask him for power. How could he give it to him? He was a man of peace. He could show him the way of peace, but this one wanted power to over throw the tyrannical leader of his people.

He ran his hand over the smooth part of the sculpture that was forming. This was going to be the cheek of the one asking for the power. "Stone is an interesting thing. So firm and if handled wrong can hurt you. But with the right tools one can change it to whatever they want it to, or-" his hand rested on it and in a moment small particles of dust created a cloud where the statue was. The open ceiling allowed the wind in and it carried it off down the steps. "-can be destroyed."

He looked over at the Icer. "A person is the same way. They can be strong in their beliefs. But in a second, those same beliefs can destroy you. You want the power to free your people. Then say you are able to destroy those that oppress you? Then what will you do? The thing about power is that it can create-" he held out a little seed and with his energy fed it so it could grow, "-or it can destroy." The little sapling went up into flame, leaving only ash in his hand. "But it will always have the same affect on people seeking it. They will get it and it will destroy who they are. So you have 3 paths before you. The first is to seek out the Namekian Elites training grounds and let them teach you the ways of combat. Two, seek out the one named Tasuda and seek his help. Maybe together, the two of you can find a way to bring peace in your lives. And three, you can stay here and I can show you the other path that is before you. A way to bring peace to your people without the need of power. Think it over and don't be hasty in your decision because each one you will sacrifice for it."

The elder Namekian went over to a table on the far right where a ceramic kettle and a few cups were. He poured what appeared to be tea. Then he looked back at the one asking for his help. "Would you like some Teresa tea? It may help you think."

Options:
1) Destroy them
2) Take the path of the warrior and go to the elites training grounds.
3) Take the path of peace and stay.
4) Learn more about Tasuda.
5) Find Tasuda.

Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek) Empty Re: Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek)

Post by Sigea 7/28/2012, 11:56 am

"Destruction is Imminent."

The Icer spoke to the Elder and the Namekians that could hear his voice. His only words that were spoken as he noticed the Elder offered him Tea. He was not here for plesantires nor any other commodities. He required power. The power to not only rid himself of the lingering thought but to outright destroy it. The Namek spoke of Power in a way and how it could not only benefit but be a defecit to one's standing in life.

Sigea placed a hand up and shook his head signaling he was alright with the beverage. Although he had come bearing respect for the culture and being somewat honest he did not trust these green beans. As quickly as they can sprout, these Namekians could spring a trap in order to capture him. The dirnk could be some sort of sedative or poison to immobilize the Icer.

Looking around, Sigea seen the two guards that watched him from the front entrance, the two Namekians who said not a word and Sorin, the Eldest of them here. He gave him a choice, a healthy list of choices. There was power sought in his eyes and an Idea of training with Namekian warriors could prove useful; yet the trust issue was there. Peace?

That was out of the option as Sigea looked up to the clouds above. The final option was to inquire about this certain Namekian called Tasuda. He was some Namek who had a way of life that could benefit Sigea. Then there was the secret answer. He would grow tired of this charade and just kill the lot of them here... or could he really do that?
He pondered as he looked over everyone again. He could kill maybe the guards and possibly a few other greenies here and there but there were 3 he did not know about. He did not have a scouter and without it, there was no way to gauge there strengths or weaknesses. Attacking still would be rash. He knew not what Nameks were all about and just being menacing may work for some; but the cunning often won the prize.

He looked over to Sorin The Namekian Elder and coughed before speaking. "Realistically, I could do two of these options. Meeting Tasuda could prove to meeting the Elite Nameks. Or we could go search for them together. But I chose to inquire about this Namek you speak of. What's your reasoning for saying he might be able to help me in what I akm searching for? Does he have some hold over some form of power; one that is unprecedented?"

Sigea asked as he needed to know before he left. He had an audience with an Elder and this may be the only time he had to speak with one directly.

Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek) Empty Re: Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek)

Post by Game Master 7/28/2012, 2:16 pm

The elder put the kettle down and sipped at his tea. He heard the Icer's choice. He wanted to know more about Tasuda. Sadly, Sorin didn't know much as he didn't know this Namek very well. Nor did he seem to be full Namek. But like all of the elders, he knew his story as it had been passed along to everyone who had a link with the grand elder.

"Tasuda is an interesting case. A warrior that doesn't appear in the history of this universe. He himself has only recently arrived, but claims he is a descendant of Garish, one of the Great Elder's brothers and a Super Namek. As far as anyone knows, Garish died long ago during the great storm that nearly wiped out our people. He also claims to have been an Admiral of a great empire that does not exist. We would say he's crazy, but he's not. He could be lying, but from what the Great Elder has told us, he thinks not. There have been rumors being spread around that he fell from the heavens and some thought they saw a set of wings. This is strange as we don't have wings as you can see. Our only conclusion is that he's a Namekian that was sent by the heavens. For what? Who knows, but as we speak he's with the Great Elder for a test. So far he's done quite well."

He paused a moment. "If you seek him out, I think in the end it would be beneficial for the both of you. He's a lost soul in a universe he's not sure about. He seeks what doesn't exist. But if any thing he says is true, he could help you bring peace to your people.

Options:
1) Exterminate
2) Seek Tasuda out (ends the adventure)
3) Revisit one of the other options.

Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek) Empty Re: Meeting the Elders (Adventure on Namek)

Post by Sigea 7/29/2012, 5:03 pm

"Tasuda..."

Was the sole word Sigea let fly from his mouth. He found out that this Namek was suposedly something akin to a fallen angel. Non of the other Nameks had ever seen his wins but this one warrior claims to be from the time around the Wicked Namekians. Not many believe it but there was always something about him that caused the others wearyness. Sigea continued to listen as he formulate dhis own idea's.

He had found out some information. It wasn't exactly what he was hoping for but maybe he underestimated the Nameks in such a way. He looked around at all the Nameks around him and the stern eyes of the two protectors of Sorin the Elder. He nodded as Sorin spoke of a test doing a test. Would Sigea even get to ever meet the grand Guru? He didn't think so but his atcions here could prove very eventful since he had come off as a non violent type. Since these people mostly were non violent it could make it better for him to meet this Elder. He had to have some kind of knowledge about the ancient Namekians or some sort of skill that could benefit Sigea.

He looked up and the wind around his body began to shift and swirld around his being. In an instant his body was gone, phased into nothing but blurr's of colors zipping from spot to spot. He was using his agile body to quickly travel. He didn't want no trace of where he was from the Nameks. He did this just for his own personal reasons. No reason to get the Lin Kuei involved.
