The warm sun kissed down onto the forehead of Gaza as he slept under a lone tree, off the side of an interstate. It awoke him the way it usually did, reaching his brow just after noon. The day was still young indeed, but before the day was out, Gaza would have a fatter wallet. He knew that another Saiyan on Earth, one named Bardock, had quite a bit of money stored up, and Gaza was interested to say the least. Being poor wasn't something that people tended to enjoy, but Gaza didn't mind it. He felt as if he was more in touch with himself than the other beings in their technology filled homes. Gaza came here with nothing and he still had nothing, but it was time for things to change.

Gaza, sick of being so poor, was going to take this opportunity and make himself at home with some fresh bills, well, fresh to him. He hadn't ever been too wealthy, and what money he did have went back into training, buying equipment and the likes. Now, this money was for recreational purposes, something less encumbering. This would be a day filled with joy, at the expense of someone else.

Bardock knew where to find Gaza, and Gaza would simply prepare for their encounter. It wasn't like Bardock had a choice, if he refused, Gaza would simply kill him. Bardock would die a coward's death and sulk in Otherworld, though it felt like this had all happened before. Like in a past life he had killed this man for a different reason. Though, he couldn't put his finger on it, but he could not fully paint the picture of what happened. Though, whatever it was, Gaza was sure he came out on top. He wouldn't be stopped by some, lower, Saiyan.

What the hell was this? Bardock was being dragged out of training to go meet up with some red head who felt like he was among the poor people? Like he needed this shit now, right when he was about to hit the final task of his training. Obviously, he needed to beat some sense into this little ginger. The Saiyan's hair flowed in the wind that rushed around him as he flew through the clouds, making holes in the sky with his speed alone. He was definitely in no good mood. No Saiyan likes to have their training interrupted, and he was really getting into the things that Kami threw at him. They were making him stronger, not only physically, but mentally as well.

He had to endure killing the very men he called his own comrades, being forced to defend himself for the sake of surviving. He had to learn the real stories behind each and every one of them, and it was no picnic, to say the least. It was horrid shit for him to go through, even more disgusting that Kami could even think up such things. Maybe that room looked into his subconscious and made that up. Ugh, he didn't like thinking about things like this, how the magic of this 'Earth' worked. How he longed for the Planet Vegeta again, but he wasn't even sure if it existed anymore. Every time even a passing thought of his home whirred by, he was reminded of the day that he died at the hands of that snake, Frieza. Boy, how he wanted to just knock him down a peg or two. Or kill. Either or.

He no longer had a scouter, and he never learned how to sense energy signatures yet, so he was just looking down in the general area for a queer with red hair. Shouldn't be too hard to find, right? Well, it wasn't. It only took a matter of seconds for him to see a man on the ground with spiked red hair, a decent build, and wearing what seemed to be garbage with thread around it. What a disgusting creature. He looked like a Saiyan though, so he would give him that much credit. He threw his white-bathed aura to the wind, letting the particles of his energy leave his body as he tapped down on the ground, putting both fists to his sides as he got into a stare-down with the man who stood before him.

"Okay kid, what's your business with me? I was doing some training, and I am in no mood to deal with small fry," he said with irritation in his tone. Hopefully this guy wasn't going to be a pushover like so many before him. He needed a good warm-up before he went out to do the final task anyway. His hands were tightening into fists quickly, his patience was wearing down.

This boy better make a move before his head ends up on the branch on that tree.

Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time. Empty Re: Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time.

Post by Gaza 8/25/2012, 3:34 pm

Gaza saw Bardock coming from a good distance away, he knew that he was coming for sure, but what he did not expect his his response to Gaza when he landed. "Okay kid, what's your business with me? I was doing some training, and I am in no mood to deal with small fry," Bardock spewed from his noise hole. Gaza couldn't help but burst out.

"Bahahaha! You're serious? Me, the small fry." Gaza said, eyeing the weaker Saiyan from head to toe. He didn't appear to be much of a fighter, perhaps a lowly scrapper. Gaza was going to enjoy this, more than he thought. This guy was cocky, and Gaza felt like he knew that already, it was strange. He tried to shake it off. There was no room for arrogance in the Saiyan race, this would have to be handled, raising his hand to Bardock, he pointed directly at him, "You will have to be dealt with." Gaza smirked, he was fully aware of this man's heritage. Vegeta had told him of the father of Kakarot, and it was hard not to make the connection with their similar hairstyles.

Lowering his finger and readying himself, Gaza took a deep breathe, achieving complete mental silence. Then, he dashed at Bardock. He was going for a Kamikaze style technique, though it wasn't necessarily suicide in this combat situation where he far surpassed his opponent. Just a few feet in front of Bardock, Gaza jumped into the air, raising his Power Pole over his head. He was going to swipe downwards, right into Bardock's skull. But no, that wasn't the setup he had wanted, instead he exhaled, releasing a flurry of red, nearly invisible Ki blades that would likely envelope the area around the two of them. The swarm embodied the characteristics of a tornado, tossing up a bit of dust, but not enough to create a cloud.

This was surely a good approach and would likely make the ability less predictable, or so Gaza had hoped. There wasn't much time to wait for a response, for he wanted to end this quickly. Gaza flipped backwards after the storm of blades, landing on the ground and immediately pushing both hands forward, releasing a fiery burst of Ki towards Bardock. Gaza wanted him to suffer, he wanted him to burn. Such treachery, being so arrogant to someone so superior to him. Bardock would get what he deserved.

That was something that perked another idea. Vegeta would surely like this man exterminated as well. So Gaza would use the technique that Vegeta had taught him, Galick Gun. It was a pretty powerful attack, and would likely slow Bardock down immensely. It wouldn't be too long before Gaza stood victorious.

Puling both arms back, and pulling energy into his palms, Gaza waited for the smoke to clear so he had a clear view of Bardock. Finding his location, Gaza pushed forth, releasing a beam of purple energy at the arrogant and incompetent Bardock. Gaza hoped this would be a strong enough blow, but he never knew, Saiyans were always changing.

Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time. Empty Re: Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time.

Post by OldBardock 8/25/2012, 4:26 pm

What was this kid's deal? He seemed to burst out laughing after the deadly threat he made toward the Saiyan. Was he deaf, or did he just have one of these disorders the Earthlings seem to catch? Bardock took a few more paces forward, to where there was only a few inches between the two Saiyans. He wanted to make sure this little worm didn't wriggle out of the dirt that was the battlefield they stood upon. This guy belonged in the dirt, he didn't have the prowess fit for a warrior. Then again, he was about to see the man fight.

As he finished his laugh, he questioned Bardock's sanity as he looked up his body up and down. This man really was quite creepy, but he shrugged it off for right now. There was no way this guy could be a real warrior, he talked a lot. His hand slowly rose into the air, almost looking as if he was going to start off an attack. Bardock got into a stance, since they were so close together, but he just pointed to the Saiyan. Then he spoke idiotic words, saying that he needed to be dealt with.

Bardock watched with great focus as the man lowered his arm. He looked like he was concentrating, almost in a state of total peace. Now the blood-thirsty Saiyan was really getting ticked off with all the silence. The battle needed to begin so he could get back to his training! Then he jumped into the air, taking out some kind of weapon that resembled a pole. He was about to have it crash down on his head. Was this guy crazy?! Then he exhaled, causing some blades of pure energy, faded to the point of almost complete invisibility, to be released in a flurry. It was almost like a tornado, but it was no time for sight-seeing!

He released his speed all in one burst and disappeared from the view of the human eye. If this was some kind of tornado technique, there is only one place where he would be safe. As he reappeared, he was floating back to back with his Saiyan opponent. The only place where he could be safe from this attack was right beside the opponent. Though it was not the best strategy, it would be better than taking the attack that spun around the pair of them. As the energy blades faded into nothing, he could feel that Gaza was making his next move. Before he could even turn his body around, he already had his fist out like he was going to release some kind of energy attack.

Bardock didn't even have the time to put up a cross block before something else came out of his fists. A large wall of burning energy came out of the man's fists, slamming into Bardock with increasing heat. This was no good, he couldn't burn before he completed his training! He was not going to die again, after all the work he put into this! He put up a cross block, attempting to stop the fire from hitting his face, but that didn't alleviate the pain that he was feeling as the attack bombarded his body. The orange Ki slowly faded into the air, leaving the renegade Saiyan floating in the air with his arms slightly singed. His skin was a light shade of black along with his regular skin color. It was a mixture he was not so fond of, considering he didn't like the concept of being burned. He slowly floated back to the ground, dusting himself off while trying to avoid touching his singed skin.

Now Gaza was charging up yet another attack. How was he able to do all these things and not show the slightest sign of fatigue? Bardock gave off a small smirk, knowing that he underestimated his opponent, but he would not make that mistake again. The beam was released, and it was going too fast for him to simply jump out of the way. Thinking on his feet, he fired a beam into the ground, using the momentum to slide out of the way of the beam before it managed to catch him. That beam took quite a bit of energy to make it get out of the way of his Galick Gun, but it the lesser of the two evils. Seems like Gaza still had some fight left in him, but Bardock was not going to give an inch.

Let's just hope he can survive long enough to finish this.

Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time. Empty Re: Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time.

Post by Gaza 8/25/2012, 7:02 pm

Gaza was stunned to see Bardock summon the dexterity to dodge his Death Gale, especially at such close quarters. Perhaps this warrior had more energy than Gaza had anticipated. It mattered not now, he was going to be eliminated. No room for weakness, no room for cowardice. Only room for progress! This was a statement thought to himself when he felt like he was being outmatched, or that he was needing to smother some flame of some undoubted weakling that thought he could oppose him.

"A bit surprising for a lowlife wretch." Gaza said, under his breathe, clearly inaudible to Bardock's ears all the way across the battlefield. Gaza quickly made his move for the Galick Gun, but Bardock expelled a beam of energy in some other direction and moved out of the way. It was a strange procedure, or Gaza thought. No matter to him, his opponent only hastened his demise. It was shocking when Bardock refused to counter attack, or offer any offensive at all.

Gaza meditated on his next move, still contemplating why Bardock didn't respond. Strange, giving Gaza so much time to think. It was unsettling, but perhaps this man was truly just a terrible tactician. Bardock wasn't a Saiyan, he was an idiot. Thinking Gaza would blindly attack while he evaded. Did he think he would just continue chasing him? Like some buffoon? Gaza thought not, it wasn't going to happen. Gaza flew at Bardock, knowing what this was about. He wouldn't allow the man to just sit there.

"Hyah!" Gaza shouted, swooping in to swing his Power Pole, hard at Bardock's neck. That should put an end to his lay and wait plan.

Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time. Empty Re: Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time.

Post by OldBardock 8/25/2012, 7:38 pm

Bardock watched over the red-headed Saiyan, trying to pinpoint his movements. It seemed like he was also taking a small rest for the time being. He didn't exactly blame him, as Bardock needed it as well. Those dodges did not come without sacrifice, and they took some serious speed to get through. Maybe this low-life loser had some strength in him after all. He got down on one knee to try and catch his breath, looking over to the horizon.

The sun was beginning to set on the battle, it would be night soon enough. There was a tree, the remains of the morning's dew dropping off the greenery. This place was an untouched field of flowers and grass, almost preserved by nature itself if the dew managed to stay on the tree for this long. The battle these two were going to have was beginning to destroy the place, but did Bardock really care about that? No, he needed to focus on his own survival. Getting through this battle was the goal, and he was going to stick by that!

His focus went back to Gaza, who was still taking a rest. He seemed to be short of breath, showing that the flurry of techniques he pushed out was really getting to his head. He obviously wanted to kill the Saiyan warrior, but he would not reach such a goal with great ease. Bardock never gave up a fight, not even against his own comrades. Being forced to kill the ones closest to him made him the ultimate warrior, restraining nothing against any opponent, thinking on his feet and knowing how to win all of his battles, even against a person that managed to have a higher strength level than him.

Power level now meant nothing to him. It was only a hunk full of numbers now, in terms of worth. Bardock no longer had a scouter, but he could tell that this man had a lot of energy on his hands. Yet, was Bardock going to back down for that reason alone? He couldn't do it, his Saiyan Pride would never allow such a thing to occur. Power alone did not win a battle, but strategy and prowess came into play, speed and the strength to take a punch and give it back was also a key part in battles. But most importantly, and the one Bardock had the most experience with...

Was the will to live.

This guy, on the other hand, was very hazardous with his do-or-die methods. He was a guerrilla fighter, he would slam his opponent with everything he had, then run away like some kind of coward to rest himself. Such sickening tactics made Bardock's Saiyan Soul throw up inside. He needed to learn something called strategy. Gaza seemed to be done with his rest, and he sped toward him, drawing the pole that came out with the first attack. The only difference was, this time, it wasn't a feint attack.

The pole slammed into the side of Bardock's neck, causing him to bend it slightly. The impact seemed great, but was Bardock actually hurt? A smile tugged at his lips, looking Gaza right in the eyes. "I knew you were a weakling, but that was just ridiculous." Bardock, without a single injury on him, flipped backward to put some distance between the two of them. Then he got down onto one knee to take a rest. There would be a time to attack, but right now? It would just be a suicide run.

The attack didn't really hurt him much, but it definitely bruised the side of his neck a little. His breathing seemed a little more laborious as well. Even with all of those things put into the mix, he was not going to give up this fight. He still had to finish up his training with Kami, and this little prick wasn't going to keep it from him for much longer. Too much effort was put into the second task for him to throw in the towel now! As he caught his breath, he looked over to Gaza and smiled. His strategy was now certain, and only one thing came to mind.

Biding his time was the best choice for now.

Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time. Empty Re: Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time.

Post by Gaza 8/25/2012, 11:45 pm

It was still a bit surprising that Bardock had continued to sit idle. Upsetting really, Gaza had hoped for a fight, not a massacre. This was going to have to end quick, for Gaza was growing bored, it became harder to stay awake really. Bardock had taken damage, and Gaza had not, this was comforting information and a boost for his. Quietly contemplating his next move in the down time Bardock had allowed him. It was beginning to irritate him a bit, hoping for a fight, not kicking a downed mutt.

That's when he got an idea. He summoned up a good deal of energy clenching much of his body to focus it. He eventually summoned up four small, white, ghost-like clones. This was surely going to be effective, because Gaza had spent a good bit of energy on this technique. "Go, minions! Attack the weakling!" Gaza commanded, pointing at Bardock. Quickly they followed the order, chasing after Bardock. He'd have a hard time evading that one for sure, likely forcing him to either block, or take the attack head on. Gaza couldn't believe that Bardock had set idly by, allowing Gaza to first formulate this plan, then build up his attack and unleash it. Surely this man was no 'master tactician', and Gaza hoped he didn't claim to be, if he did he would have to be insane. Here Gaza was, hoping to show off some of his defensive capabilities, but this 'man' had stolen the luxury.

"If you're going to continue standing there like a idiot, at least look less moronic in doing so. Truly you must be tired from all the work you've been doing to do absolutely nothing!" Gaza shrugged, shaking off his frustration, "You're pathetic, Bardock." He added, under his breathe in a bit of a sigh. If Bardock heard that one, he'd have the ears of a hawk. Not that he was worried of Bardock suddenly becoming angry, that, in fact, would make things more interesting. Though it couldn't make it less interesting unless Bardock had forced him to watch paint dry.

Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time. Empty Re: Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time.

Post by OldBardock 8/26/2012, 1:09 am

Bardock slowly scanned over the area, looking for anything that might give him an advantage. He was trying to think about this battle, as he wasn't too exhausted as this point, but that much couldn't be said for his fellow Saiyan opponent. He rose from his position on a single knee, looking over to Gaza. Figures that this weakling wasn't going to be able to handle his reckless attacks; even a simple pole swing is too much for this guy. Obviously this was not going to be an interesting battle for the pair.

He started to look over his opponent's condition, since he seemed to be taking a rest at the time. His build was pretty decent now that the battle was taking its toll, his full power was being used as of now. The veins within him were pumping like mad, even showing through his skin. He looked as if he was short of breath, but who could really blame him after blowing off all of that energy? Bardock wasn't going to give an inch, though, as he had plenty of energy to spare after all of this.

Bardock's eyebrow rose as Gaza got off of the ground, now fully rested for the time being. He slowly began to focus his energy into the center of his body, his muscles tightening around his figure. With that much focus onto his power, this must be some kind of attack. Then he slightly opened his mouth, a weird white slime oozing its way out of his lips. Bardock was quite disgusted by such a thing, slightly backing away from this attack. The process was repeated about four times, creating small ghost-like people that resembled Gaza in terms of appearance, but not in terms of muscular stature.

The Saiyan slowly looked over to the ghosts as Gaza declared for all of them to rush him. As the ghosts sped off, Bardock only found himself angered by his comment. Anyone who called him a weakling would suffer at his hand! These ghosts looked as if they were going on a suicide run, but he wouldn't even allow for them to get close to him. Bardock charged up orbs of energy in both of his palms and fired one at each of the ghosts. He was hoping for just enough power to put them out of commission so he could focus on Gaza, but to his surprise, they actually exploded entirely on contact. Luckily, the pride-driven Saiyan wasn't within the radius of the explosion, so he didn't take any damage from the attack.

But this guy right here had the nerve to call him a weakling? When all he could even manage to land was some measly fireworks and a pole smack? Like he had any battle prowess, as if he knew what real power was! This guy didn't know what suffering was, not the shit that Bardock had to go through. Everything he cared for in his life was stripped from him all in one day, and he had to live with that every single day! Then he finally said that Bardock was pathetic, and that was the very final straw. It was over for Gaza.

Bardock screamed to the heavens, as if he was uttering the command of Kami himself that this man would become one with the dirt. His white aura burst around his body, showing that this one was something serious. No one ever got away with insulting him in such a way! The black smoke still kept a shroud on him, so he had the element of surprise on his side. His aura slowly began to swirl, his right fist beginning to drain the aura's power. As it finished, his punch was powered up to the point where it had about a fifth of his full power within its knuckles.

The Saiyan then dug his ankle into the dirt, speeding forward into the cloud of smoke. He rushed out of the other side, streams of smoke following his body as he screamed, the very smoke coming off of his person, as if they were scared of him. Then he slid his ankle forward, bringing his fist down to the ground. Bardock's pupils were small, showing that he was now truly angry! He brought his fist back up in an uppercut, attempting to try and rupture Gaza's organs. Now his fate would be sealed!

Now his fate no longer existed.

You listed this as an evasion. Evasion would be your character moving out of the way, or dodging these things.

By definition, when you use a ki attack to stop or interrupt a ki attack, that is called a negation. You don't have any sort of barrage attacks (such as Renzoku Kikou Dan, which can let you fire multiple balls of ki at once.) You could fire one ball of ki, and that's an attack rating 2 ability.

Combat Page wrote:The attack rating must be the same or higher than your opponent's ability to negate their attack.

Even so, to negate any damage your ki score must at least be 1/2 of his. It is not. Therefore, you take full damage (-16 vitality.)

Carry on.

Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time. Empty Re: Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time.

Post by Gaza 8/26/2012, 2:09 am

With a large smirk on his face, Gaza watched as Bardock attempted to negate his technique. The ghost clones were unaffected to say the least, and continued to impact on him and explode. The blows took a lot out of the other Saiyan, more than it did Gaza at least. Inspecting himself, he realized he was still unscathed. This was surprising, until he remembered that Bardock had yet to attack. That irritated him again. "What's the use in fighting you if your going to just sit back and take this beating? Come on! Hit me!" Gaza commanded, and Bardock seemed to obey.

Coming at Gaza with hate in his eyes, Bardock came in close, and was ready to strike! Finally! Gaza thought, Time to test out... "Barrier!" Gaza shouted, surrounding himself with a sphere of red Ki. This was a technique he first saw used by Ruurik, so he would have to thank the man the next time they had an encounter, that is, IF they had another encounter. Now to take the offensive again, and Gaza felt the end growing nearer. Bardock had sustained heavy amounts of damage, so Gaza would strike while the iron was hot, so to speak. Just after Bardock punched his barrier with a great deal of force, Gaza smirked, bringing his fist back and puffing out his cheeks like he was going to blow his Ki blades out again then, jumping at Bardock and ready to swing at his face, Gaza summoned what may have been left of his strength, bringing back a familiar threat, the Kamikaze ghost quadruplets! They all screamed in excitement as they rushed at Bardock, going for the killing blow. A smart combo, Gaza thought. He was surely coming out on top.

Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time. Empty Re: Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time.

Post by OldBardock 8/26/2012, 2:50 am

Bardock was surprised to see his ki blasts merely whir by these ghosts. They were a little faster than he intended, but that wasn't exactly going to stop their rush on him! Before he could even get up a blocking stance, he tried to hit each and every one of them to put them down entirely. Instead, they began to glow with a yellow light. Shit, they were about to explode. The detonations scattered around his position, sending a pillar of black smoke into the air.

As the smoke began to fade from the area, Bardock was left in the rubble, blood-covered. His limbs were still intact, but he coughed up a small amount of blood. That was some kind of attack, but it had to be affecting his opponent too. No, he was not going to fall here, not after everything he promised to Kami. He had to keep training to become stronger, the will to live was growing as he managed to stay on his feet. Yelling out, he sped forward out of the fading smoke to try and land a punch on Gaza, but it was completely negated by a mere barrier technique.

Knowing that his attack had no real affect on the Saiyan, he flipped back to try and get a little rest. He clutched at his chest, trying to catch his breath to regain a bit of his health back. This showed that he might have been down for now, but he was not out for the count just yet. A Saiyan like him would never admit true defeat, especially not to a fellow Saiyan! His pride would never allow such a crime to be committed! He kept his cool, slowly inhaling a gasp of air, and exhaling it clearly. He was back on his focus, and he was ready for the next attack.

Gaza let his lips come apart once again, resembling the same stature that he took for the attack that just hit Bardock. He had enough energy to summon up another batch of those creatures?! He was quickly trying to contemplate a strategy as he made the ghosts appear. From his last encounter with the spirits, they seemed to be fast enough to dodge something they were expecting, but they explode with anything they touch. That might be the perfect ticket to finishing this battle one and for all!

As the ghosts finished their formation, Bardock charged up his aura once again like he did with his Ultra Punch, only this time around, he let the aura stick around for some extra speed. The ghosts approached him, and a smirk tugged at his lips. "Alright you little fuckers, follow the leader!" And indeed was Bardock going to become the leader of this battle as he burst into the air with new speed. His injuries were bothering him a bit, but he ignored it as he flew around, scanning the area with the quadruplet ghost team on his tail.

Then he remembered that he saw quite a few things on his way here, so they might be of some service to him after all! He headed to the east, the ghosts following him like a bunch of puppies wanting food from their mother. Well, they were definitely about to bite off more than they could chew! Bardock sped downward, then jumped off the ground to head for a large tree. It stood tall with many branches and leaves on its top. What was Bardock going to do with only a tree? He quickly fired a beam of energy at it, breaking it in half. He flew over the branches and leaves to get back into the air to find his next obstacle, with three ghosts tailing him. One of the ghosts got tangled up in the branches, and he exploded as Bardock got out of there. One down, three to go.

His eyes scanned over the area, keeping his aura strong so that the ghosts wouldn't catch up to him. He had to keep his energy up while looking around, and while it would have been hard for most Saiyans, Bardock was a man that would keep kicking even if he didn't have any legs. He laid his eyes on a mountain top in the distance. It was a very large mountain, kissed by the very cold weather that was associated with high places. He then sped toward it, looking as if he was going to run into the very middle of it. Then he charged up his energy and fired yet another beam, going clean through the mountain to form a tunnel in which he could travel through. He managed to squeeze in, and two of the ghosts had the speed to follow him in. One of the others tried to get in along with another one of his twins, and he ended up hitting the side of the mountain, exploding on impact.

The base of the mountain was beginning to crumble under the explosion's pressure, but Bardock wasn't worried. He was already out of the mountain, followed by two of the four ghosts, before it managed to crumble entirely. What a mess they were making of this earth, but now it was time for the finale. He scanned over the ground while flying upward, and found it. It was a large fissure, almost looking like the Earth cracked in two. Bardock went down toward that area, and went inside the fissure. Those two ghosts were very naive to follow him down here, as the pathway became thinner and thinner. It got so small that one of the ghosts hit the wall as Bardock grabbed a small rock from the ground, exploding in their wake. Now there was one last ghost left.

He sped into the air, looking down at the final ghost that was yards away. As he escaped from the fissure, Bardock brought his fist up. Did he plan to attack this ghost head on? No, he had no intentions of killing himself, but this rock was going to take the fall for him. It was no energy attack, so the ghost probably wouldn't even expect it. Throwing the small rock, it landed on the cranium of the ghost, making him explode as well. As the smoke began to clear, Bardock began to float back onto the ground. Between gasps, he began to speak. "And that... is why..." As he tapped down onto the ground, he looked over to Gaza with a smile.

"You never use an attack twice."

Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time. Empty Re: Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time.

I was asked to intervene again, regarding Bardock's defense. It was well thought out, and he certainly spent a lot of time and effort roleplaying it. If done correctly, I might have considered this a good evasion. Super Ghost Kamikaze is described as being "hard to dodge," this means that because of the seeking nature of the ghosts, you need to have comparable agility (to your opponent's attack score) and a well written RP.

That being said, there are some mechanics issues that prevent this from being acceptable.

Keep in mind, since you are new to the system, that any time you use a ki ball, beam, or any sort of attack of the sorts, it takes an action on its own. Hurling one as a defensive action is not an evasion, but an interruption. The term for that here is negation. Even though you weren't aiming at the ghosts, it still counts because you were using a ki attack to stop another ki attack.

There is a very specific definition of what evasion is on the combat page.

Combat Page wrote:
Evading is when you flee away from an attack instead of letting it hit you.

That's pretty clear cut. I wrote it that way intentionally, to serve as a guide. When you evade are moving away (not interrupting, not blocking.) It's a dodge, or a strategic retreat. You were close to doing it right, by having Bardock fly away and try to lead them to a place where he could out maneuver them. It may have worked, if not for the usage of ki attacks, changing the definition of what you were trying to accomplish.

Being another failed negation attempt, Bardock takes full damage. That should leave him with zero vitality. That means he is knocked out. Gaza can decide to spare his life, or kill him. The choice is his.

Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time. Empty Re: Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time.

Bardock tried to flee, but the ghost were too quick for him. Gaza couldn't believe he actually thought he'd get away. The ghosts caught him and, upon impact, exploded wit such ferocity that the sky darkened with the smoke. Bardock fell to the ground, nearly dead, likely unconscious.

"Look what we have here..." Gaza said, kneeling down beside him. "The little Saiyan that couldn't." Gaza smirked. "You're a fool, Bardock. Trying to run from a technique like that. Though I have to admit, it took some gall." Gaza said to the knocked out Bardock. Such a shame that it had ended before it really began.

Bardock coughed, still laying on the ground. "Oh please, try not to choke, that'd ruin this for me." Gaza laughed, using his Power Pole to roll the weaker Saiyan over. Gaza spit on him. "You should have known better than to think you could defeat me!" Gaza shouted, Bardock laying still, wincing in his subconscious state. "Enough talk." he added, apparently ending this one sided conversation. Bardock coughed again, open his mouth, fully wide. Gaza jammed the Power Pole inside, picking Bardock up off the ground in front of himself. Gaza just shook his head, looking the other Saiyan eye-to-eye. Bardock continued coughing, and now gagging. Blood poured from the open spaces in his mouth.

Raising the Power Pole to an angle, bringing Bardock off the ground, Gaza extended it. This put the entirety of Bardock's weight on his upper jaw. Extending it further, this time so high, Gaza could not see him. Bardock dangled somewhere in the lower troposphere. Shifting his body so that he and Bardock were facing the same direction, Gaza then swiped his Power Pole downward. It took little effort, but Gaza shortened the pole so he could get a better look. Bardock landed about twenty feet in front of him, his head exploding like a watermelon with an M80 inside. Gaza felt no remorse, he felt no pity, he only felt pride. Pride that he had eliminated a flaw in the Saiyan race!

Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time. Empty Re: Deja Vu: A Fated Meeting.... for the Second Time.

Bardock managed to get the other three ghosts down, but this last one that was tailing him was a problem. Luckily, he had a rock that he grabbed from within the fissure, and surely this was going to be unexpected! He had pride in his battle tactics, even in this injured state, he could still summon up the power to take on these weak little ghosts and make them explode. Surely, Gaza was going to be quite exhausted after this, and that's when he could strike. That barrier would be a nuisance, but he would get past it somehow.

Then the Saiyan threw the rock down with great force, watching the little piece of Earth whir down with not only the help of Bardock's immense strength, or what was left of it, but with the help of the gravity of Earth. It was nowhere near as intense as it was on Planet Vegeta, but it would do for now. At least it made the concept of flying easier on Bardock's injured body. In a way, this rock reminded him of home, but maybe a little more advanced with the buildings and less advanced in fighting capabilities. Then again, some of these little humans had very high power levels, so he couldn't complain.

Suddenly, the little ghost spun and got by the small rock. How in the world was he able to muster up that much speed, with Gaza so low on energy?! Did he put every single ounce of his power in his attack? Did he really want to kill Bardock that badly? No, it couldn't end like this! Bardock spiked his white aura around his body and made a beeline for the ghost. Wait, what in the world was he doing? That thing would explode with any contact, but he didn't even care anymore. This was a mockery of the very thing he lived for: fighting.

Bardock brought his arm up, the ghost becoming surprised that he became so hostile. The look in his eyes was one of an injured man desperate to survive, but cold as if he was going to win. But was he really going to win at this point, with his body already broken and battered? He sent his arm down, slamming the elbow into the ghost's nose. At least he could get the satisfaction of hitting the equivalent of his sick face before the ghost glowed with an eerie yellow light.

The Saiyan closed his eyes as the explosion engulfed his body. His leg was torn off of its hinge, and mortal wounds were covering his body. He was in no real state to go on. With no more energy to even keep himself afloat, he slowly tilted to the side and made a descent to the ground. All of the energy was slowly being drained away from his body as he made a dead drop toward the Earth. He reopened his eyes, seeing small pieces of his burnt armor flying beside him before he hit the ground with a sickening thump.

He couldn't even summon up the energy to get back up onto his feet as that red-headed Saiyan slowly approached him. That little bitch was going to gt it one day, Bardock swore his very name on it. He watched as Gaza spoke to him, like he was just some tawdry toy to be played with. He spoke of having the gall to even try a dodge like that, and while it was very well planned out, his speed just didn't match up to these ghosts. It's obvious that this guy simply preyed on whoever he thought was weak enough for an easy win, and then avoided the guys who were leagues stronger than him. It was an idiotic thing to do, but Gaza took pleasure in such a thing.

He was no real fucking Saiyan, he went and tried to kill the weaklings to make a sick attempt at giving himself a name. That's not what a Saiyan represents! A Saiyan aims for the very highest pinnacle of the warrior race and attempts to fight that, over and over again if it is necessary, to become a stronger person. This guy wouldn't become stronger if all he fought were people below him. He would never know the pain that came with being a Saiyan that had true Pride.

He watched as he had the very nerve to spit on his chest. While it did sting a little, Bardock was struggling with the plaque that soaked into his wounds., as this guy obviously didn't have great hygiene. No surprise here, really. Bardock gave him one back, shooting out a small stream of blood-mixed saliva onto Gaza's boot. This fucker wasn't going to have the satisfaction of getting the best of him after going through such an idiotic battle.

Bardock couldn't take the pressure of his cheeks anymore, he was literally choking on his own blood. In a spew of crimson liquid, it managed to escape from his mouth in a great wave. Before it even had the decency to splatter onto the ground, he felt an object enter the roof of his mouth, causing him unending pain. What the fuck was this guy's problem? Did he do something to his relatives or something? Yet, the pole he used on Bardock before was now in his mouth, and he was being lifted by it alone. Their gazes met, one pained and one full of malice. No, he wasn't going to satisfy him with such a thing. He intensified his glare, showing that he still had the energy to be threatening.

Suddenly, the pole extended, making Bardock's body rush into the air with great force. If he didn't know better, he'd think that the pole pierced through the roof of his mouth. Now he could only see small red dot on the Earth, and the scars that this battle had on the field. At least this place would be a good grave. For now, that is. As his body shifted downward, he would swear something within his mind. The ground was rushing up, and he knew that this promise would come true one day. The pain finally cut off as his head was crushed on the surface of the Earth, but he knew one more thing about this day.

Gaza would die. Soon.
