Trials [Solo Quest]

The robust genie Mr. Popo escorts Piccolo deep into the depths of the lookout into a dark chamber. Kami the guardian of earth greets Mr. Popo and Piccolo as they enter the dark chamber. Piccolo notices a huge pendulum swinging back and forth over a ring. Each four corners of the ring contain a torch, the purpose of these torches remain a mystery to Piccolo.

"Piccolo I have been watching you closely. I see you befriended a young boy named Gohan. You even came to the aid of North City in it's time of need." said Kami

"I had my own reasons and interest for involving myself." Piccolo answered back.

"Now are you going tell me why I'm in this room." Piccolo questioned.

"Today you will partake in what Mr. Popo calls the trials." answered Kami.

"Doesn't sound very interesting." commented Piccolo.

"Piccolo I want you to light each of those torches on the four corners of the ring." Piccolo rolled his eye's at Kami's request.

Piccolo walks over to each torch and lit's each torch with a small beam of Ki. The torch light's up with an beautiful blue flame, that immediately draw in Piccolo's attention. The Namekian feel's his mind, body and soul being sucked out of him. Soon Piccolo come's back to his senses and notice the room has completely changed. He now found himself surrounded by an endless void with bright white specks of light glowing far off in the distance.

"KAMI, KAMI, were have you sent me?" Piccolo yelled with anger.

"Piccolo do not fear. You have been transported to the astral realm. Your trials have begun, you will now come face to face with four spirits. Each one possessing different strengths and weakness. Defeat the four Piccolo and I will continue your training." Explained Kami via telepathically.

"A bunch of nonsense is more like it." Piccolo said.

A voice echoed from a far, "You must be the one Kami told us about."

Piccolo scanned his surroundings searching for the person or creature that just spoke. The Namekian turned around to see a figure instantly appear before his eye's. An rather large robust human wearing armor that didn't fit him.

"My name is Grub and I'm the first spirit you will encounter during this trial." said the robust human scratching his scalp.

Piccolo readied into a stance knowing it would be foolish to underestimate his opponent.

The gigantic robust human known as Grub slowly engaged Piccolo. Both fighter threw punches that connected, Piccolo's managed to get in a flurry of punches into the large humans torso. The Namekian quickly followed up with a few knee strike's into Grub's torso. Piccolo then extended out his arm, opening his palm, releasing a small orb of Ki into the robust Grub.

"Oh ha ha ha ha. You hit hard but I can take a beating like no one else." chuckled Grub at Piccolo's failed attempt to inflect some damage.

Piccolo backs off his opponent and begins to quickly charge up his ki. The Namekian warrior returns to battle and pulls of a combination of punches, kick's, elbows and knee strikes. Once more Piccolo's manages to connect with his attacks but the large human just stands still as he shrugs off each strike.

Piccolo flies up higher, once more charging his ki. Piccolo brings both of his hand together over his forehead, Piccolo thrusts his arms down and unleashes a large wave of Ki. "MASENKO!" shouted Piccolo.

The robust human Grub stands still and doesn't even try to evade the Masenko. The giant yellow wave of ki hit's it target. The giant human Grub stands tall even after taking an Masenko and receiving minor damage. "WHAT!?" Piccolo say's astonished and frustrated. The Namekian flies down at full speed, delivering a massive kick into the robust human. Grub inches foreword and nails Piccolo whit an headache inducing headbutt! The Namekian is sent reeling a few feet backwards through the astral realm. "*pant* *pant* If I keep up at this rate I'm going exhaust myself." Piccolo tells himself as he show's signs of tiring out.

"Wait, that's why the big guy never moves. He forcing me to exhaust myself, he want's me to tire out. The once I'm exhausted he's going finish me off with one swift strike. I need to force him to move so Grub begins to tire out." Piccolo figures out.

"Hey green man why you hanging out so far away? Don't you want to fight me any more?" mocks Grub.

"Once you stop standing still like a sack of brick's." said Piccolo.

"You calling me a sack of bricks?" questioned Grub.

"Did I say bricks? I meant to say an wide house." commented Piccolo.

"Stop it, stop it. I hate when people make fun of my appearance." shouted Grub.

"Well then your going have to do something about it trash boat." mocked Piccolo.

"STOP IT! I'm going make you shut your mouth." yelled Grub.

"I'll be here waiting for you dumpster." said Piccolo

Piccolo's childish remarks were enough to put Grub into a fit. Grub slowly hovered towards Piccolo, the Namekian readies his defensive stance. The robust human throw's wild strike's that completely miss Piccolo. Each strike thrown by Grub was predictable and therefore easily avoided by the Namekian. The Green warrior continued his school yard insults and Grub continued to grow so enraged that he began to wildly throw predictable attacks. With each missed attack the robust human became more and more fatigued.

Sensing Grub's power level rapidly dropping, Piccolo threw an elbow strike straight into Grub's mid section. Completely shattering the man's small sized armor and sending spit flying out of his mouth. Grub breathing hard hunched over, "No more, I'm all tired out." said Grub as admitted defeat. The robust human began to slowly vanish away.

"That's one spirit down and three more to go." said Piccolo

For the past hour Piccolo had been hovering through the astral realm searching for the next spirit he would face during Kami's trial. Piccolo never being one who showed much patience grew tired of waiting. The namekian decided to meditate to pass by the time and recover his stamina from the earlier trial with the robust human named Grub. Piccolo felt someone tapping his shoulder, the namekian suddenly exits out of his meditation on goes into a defensive stance.

"Well hello. It was way too easy for me to sneak up on you." said a tall slim bishounen character with a his face painted while wearing some type of armor. "Impossible!" muttered Piccolo.

"It's not impossible Piccolo boy. I'm able to mask my power level, making it difficult for you aware of my presence." said the bizarre figure while flinging his long hair back.

"Then you made a mistake reviling your self." said Piccolo

"Hold it Piccolo boy. My trial is different than Grubs one way street take a beating approach. You will battle me while blindfolded." said the bishounen character.

"Fine I'll agree to this nonsense." said Piccolo.

"Oh my, where are my manners? I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Bisho." said the pretty boy as he did some amusing pose that would make the Ginyu Force blush.

Bisho hands over a blindfold that Piccolo ties around his upper face, blocking his vision. The slim pretty smacks the Namekian across the face with his open hand. Piccolo not amused quickly throws a swift high kick hitting nothing but the strange astral realm space around him. The handsome Bisho this time slaps Piccolo behind the head. The namekian responds by quickly turning around and throwing a martial arts karate chop. The chop strikes nothing but the empty space of the astral realm. Bisho strife's around Piccolo hitting the green namekian from different directions.

Piccolo wildly throws a furry of punches as he turns around 360 degrees. Bisho begins laughing at the namekian, "He he he he! Your hitting nothing but the empty space around you Piccolo boy." laughed Bisho. Piccolo growls at the laughter, "WELL IF I WASN'T BLINDFOLDED."

"Being blind folded has nothing to do with it. You need to learn how to trust your other senses. With that being said it's time that I truly begin my part of the trial." said Bisho.

"You been toying with this whole time?" barked Piccolo.

"Talking in such a gruff voice seem's irritating. Piccolo boy please remove your blindfold." instructed Bisho.

Piccolo untied the blindfold and handed it over to Bisho. "Piccolo boy I'm going blindfold myself and I want you to attack me." instructed Bisho.

"It's you death wish then." stated Piccolo

Bisho tied the blindfold around his upper face, the handsome warrior motioned Piccolo to attack him. The namekian Piccolo charged in and threw a furious jab aimed at the bishounen pretty boy's face. Even with his eye's blindfolded Bisho managed to side step out of the way of Piccolo's attack.

"Of course you dodged it while blindfolded. You were feeling out my power level knowing where I was." Piccolo told Bisho.

"Wrong Piccolo boy. I don't have the ability to sense power levels. I managed to evade your attack by simply homing on your breathing and hearing the noise you make when attacking." explained Bisho.

"Of course." said Piccolo

"Well then it's time for you to give it another try." said Bisho

Piccolo tied the blindfold once more, the namekian motioned Bisho that he was ready. The handsome Bisho slowly moved in on Piccolo, once with in striking distance the handsome warrior throws an elegant attack. Piccolo began to hone in the quite breathing and the armor moving around as Bisho made his attack. The namekian raised up both of his arms like a boxer bracing himself to block the attack. Piccolo successively blocked the attack, Bisho quickly moves to behind the namekian and
strikes. The green namekian warrior turns around and successively block Bisho's attack.

"Well done Piccolo boy. My trial is complete now, farewell Piccolo." said Bisho has began to vanish.

Piccolo unties his blind fold and awaits his third trial.

"Piccolo, I'm you third challenge." said a voice directly over Piccolo. The namekian looks up and see's an odd purple catfish xeno floating upside down.

"What kind of challenge do you have in mind?" asked the namekian.

"It's really simple. A race with the one and only Zobo! That's me, just in case you didn't know." said the strange looking purple xeno catfish. "On the count of three, I want you to try and keep up."

"Sounds simple." said Piccolo

"Keeping up with me is not as simple as it sounds." said Zobo with a sly devilish grin on his face.

"One, three!" with a burst of speed the purple xeno catfish takes off in a powered flight. Piccolo soon follows after the sly xeno. The namekian begins to catch up with the purple catfish xeno, "Did I mention I'm a real pro at using magic materialization." snickered the xeno as he summoned a brick wall out of thin air. Piccolo's eyes widened as the brick wall appeared out of thin air. The namekian created a small orb of yellow of ki in his palm and proceeded to thrust it foreword. The yellow orb of ki smashes through the brick wall just in time.

"So you want to play dirty." shouted Piccolo.

"I can tell this is going to be a real thrill." said Zobo the catfish xeno.

Zobo stops in mid flight and begins to wildly move both of his arms, suddenly a dozen small orbs of ki shout out like machine gun fire. Piccolo hit's the breaks and tries his best to weave through the machine gun like ki attack. A few orbs of ki manage to hit the namek, knocking him out of his flight.

"So close but the last few waves managed to hit you. Do you think you can still keep up with me?" snickered xeno catfish.

Piccolo managed to gather himself and reentered flight, "It's going take more than a few ki attacks to keep me away." shouted Piccolo as he chased the catfish xeno.

"How about this little trick then." The xeno catfish once more used magic materialization to create another obstacle for Piccolo. This time appearing from thin air were mines that began to scatter around the astral realm. "Let's see how carefully you can navigate this obstacle." chuckled the purple xeno catfish.

Piccolo began flying between the mines being cautious enough not to trigger the mines as he passed by. Zobo the catfish xeno decided it was time to make things more interesting. Creating a small yellow ball of ki in his palm, the xeno hurled into a nearby mine near Piccolo. The mine went off, the explosion caught Piccolo off guard sending him reeling into a nearby mine. The explosion sent Piccolo up into the air bumping into another mine which sent Piccolo tumbling downward through the astral realm.

"Don't trigger any more mine as you spiral downward." laughed the xeno catfish.

Zobo stopped his flight and began to hover awaiting for Piccolo to recover from the downward spiral. "I guess my little tactic was to much for the guy." Little did the xeno catfish know was the Piccolo did manage to stop is downward descend through the astral realm. The namekian had enough of the xeno catfish and was waiting for an opportunity to strike.

In a burst of speed Piccolo flies upward from beneath the purple cat fish xeno Zobo and strikes the xeno with a massive uppercut to the lower jaw! Piccolo follows up by grabbing the xeno by both of his ankles and twirls around and then tosses the xeno. The namekian Piccolo quickly follows up by catching the xeno in the air begins to pummel the purple catfish. Locking both of his hands together Piccolo brings them down like a massive hammer into the skull of Zobo the catfish xeno.

"I'm through with your little race." snarled Piccolo.

"His job was to lead you to me your final trial." spoke a deep and powerful voice.

Piccolo quickly turned around and noticed an massive intimidating warrior covered head to toe in armor.

"My trial is simple defeat me with everything you have learned or return back to your world defeated."

Piccolo smiled, "Finally something straight forward."
