RP Claims & Updates

Current System:

You write your roleplay and when you're done you submit it on the RP Claims forum. You have until monday to get all your RPs claimed. Monday, the admin comes along and posts your rewards. You can then put your rewards in your update. An admin comes along, checks your math and makes sure everything is line and then approves it or makes recommendations for changes.


New System:

In this system you would post the claim to your RPs in your update and allocate your own rewards based what is on the Roleplaying, or Combat page. You would proceed with your update, putting all the information in, and then submit it.

You already know I'm voting new system. It might be a little bit bumpy to start off as everyone learns how to do that stuff on their own, but once everyone knows what they're doing it'll run like clockwork.

The new process would simplify staff work, but if you want to do a quality bonus, it wouldn't work very well. Which for me I'm completely up for quality bonus. That'd have to be a whole other bonus.

Well when checking the update, I could just put "I think you got a quality bonus on this RP," so add in this amount extra...

But eventually it won't just be you doing updates. Right now it's you and Shana which is fine. But what about when we have 15 people or more? I do think we could easily do our own bonuses. But if you want to do quality, we'll need to look at something else.

Yeah. I mean so far I haven't even done it. It was reserved for this RPs that really wow'd me.

ah ok. Then yeah I'll be for the new system. It'll be easier for the staff (though they'd have to double check as well).

On my vote though, I vote for how it is. Much simpler, imo.

I agree, I see more pros than cons. I like the new version and then you coming in and saying...

I think it will be a lot easier for the newer people to roleplaying to implement, cause a lot less work for you and so on.

I voted No. The reason? Quality Bonus. How would one judge for themselves the quality of their own work and what bonus they should receive? Unless you remove the bonus or change it to be attained some other way, then i don't see how updates could be successfully and fairly calculated using the new system.

Right now the combining RP claims and updates are winning this poll. But, tell me, I made this page today, does it help with understanding how the whole system works?
