Sairai, the "Soft Hearted" Empty Sairai, the "Soft Hearted"

Post by Sairai 3/18/2012, 12:40 am

Name: Sairai

Age: 22

Appearance: See Post #2

Aura Color: Azure

Gender: Male

Race: Changeling

Personality: Cold and distant, yet warm and caring toward those he considers friends. He is currently involved in a deep struggle for his very sanity, as something keeps pushing him toward becoming the monster his parents had always tried to push him into becoming. Sairai is normally good natured and willing to make friends, but when pushed too far toward the edge or over it, he can become a cold blooded monster who will fight against any odds in order to keep himself or whoever/whatever he's protecting alive/intact. When pushed to that extreme, he is every bit the Changeling his parent's would be proud of, though he outright refuses to kill unless it is absolutely necessary, a practice that his race would frown upon.

Known Aliases: Sairai the Soft Hearted (on Frieza #79)

History: He hadn’t always lived on Earth, nor indeed had he always been as polite and kind as he had started to become known to be on this planet. Growing up, he was much like any other Changeling among his people. He had been cold, callous, calculating, and downright devious when he put his mind to it. His brother Hale and he would fight over the most ridiculous things growing up, but Hale had always come out on top, being the older, and stronger of the two.

Over time, Sairai became aware of things that others around him just couldn’t see. When he was training to become an officer in the Planet Trade Organization, that’s when things began to finally come together for him. His brother Hale had already been enlisted as a Staff Sergeant, and Sairai was expected to follow in his brother’s example, and to be even more ruthless than him, since he was told he had within him such great potential for power.

He had always scoffed at such nonsense, knowing that his brother was the superior in all things, and always would be, but he acquiesced to his family’s decision for him to become an officer of the PTO. That was, until he learned about the atrocious conditions that anyone lower than the rank of Sergeant was put through. He saw Xeno troops being put in barracks smaller than half the needed size for a unit as large as they were, abysmal conditions, and when they died, if there was even a body left to bury, they were just put in a hole dug somewhere on the planet they had been sent to conquer.

It was ghastly, and it led to Sairai stepping back and taking a look at how things were really supposed to be in a “civilized” organization such as the Planet Trade Organization. He decided from then on to at least treat his troops with the respect he thought they deserved. They began to look up to him, and followed his every direction as if on instinct, but when the superiors began to understand what Sairai was actually trying to do by instilling a little respect into the ranks, especially respect that was top down instead of bottom up, they immediately failed him, despite his rather impressive training mission success rate.

Upon his return home to his parents, they submitted him to the most abhorrent of emotional and physical abuse they could, beating him on a daily basis and doing everything in their power to make him as cold hearted as his older brother. None of their tricks worked, for he had seen true torture, and the Xeno Shock Troops had been through just that their entire careers, and most of them were unlikely to see another sunrise, much less a Sergeant’s Insignia on their uniform.

After taking a little too much berating from his parents than was healthy, the young Changeling immediately left his home, leaving the family and everything they had along with it. He was broke, without a place to call home, and without people who would genuinely care for his welfare. In essence, Sairai was everything the troops he had turned into his extended family were: not fit to live on Frieza #79.

When he arrived on Earth, he promised things would be different. He would gain power, yes, but he would do it on his own terms and toward his own purposes, which he saw as the purest manifestation of power.

Eventually he learned of purpose and worked extensively to discover his own, not knowing that his purpose had found him. He was to be a protector of Earth, one of those select few to stand against all threats, both from within and from without, like Planet Trade Organization.
