Fight with honor and respect, and your earn place as a student of the Turtle Hermit.

The Turtle Hermit Part II

Requirement: Must have completed The Turtle Hermit.

Reward: 2,000 zeni and 15 Hero Points.

So, Master Roshi has agreed to train you, after fighting the masked warrior. Roshi decides to make things interesting to start off. He loads you up with a giant backpack filled with ungodly heavy items and has you deliver them to three sages living all across the world. You soon find assassins on your tail, but he left you with one stipulation, you can never remove the backpack. Defeat them with the heavy burden and deliver the goods to the sages.

The Turtle Hermit Part III

Hard Quest

Requirement: Must have completed The Turtle Hermit Part II

Reward: 3,500 zeni and 15 Hero Points.

Upon the eve of another day of grueling training you see smoke rising from a village on a nearby island. Roshi sends you to quell the fires and save the civilians. You arrive to find a massive fire demon rampaging. It seems ki attacks only fuel his flames and spread destruction. Find a way to bring him down, or break him with your bare hands.

The Turtle Hermit Finale

Roshi has been impressed with both your dedication and your heroism. It is time for your final test. You must face the master in single combat, beneath the waves of the ocean. Survive for as long as you can, as you struggle for air, or defeat the Master fast enough before you drown. Do this and you will know what it means to be a true student of the Turtle School.

Korin's Tower

There is rumored to be a powerful entity that guards Earth. He is said to be wise and all-knowing, residing upon his lookout high in the heavens. Legend states that if one were to find this guardian, they would be granted untold power. Go to Korin’s Tower. Climb into the heavens and see if the legends are true. Be warned, Korin will know if you take the lazy man’s route by flying.

Senzu Magic

Requirement: Must have completed Korin's Tower.

Reward: 1,200 zeni and a Senzu Bean.

As miraculous as the legendary Senzu Beans are, it takes a lot of time and energy for Korin to grow them. Recently one of the bushes that produce the beans has withered and died. Korin has asked you to go into the Forest of Ancients and fetch him some spring water packed with rare minerals to help revive the planet. Beware, it is said the spring is guarded by a wicked beast...

Korin tells you about some magical water he has a in a tea pot that will increase the strength of those who drink it. Before he will let you have some, you must prove yourself. He sends you into the Cave of Darkness and one of your greatest fears.

Guardian of Earth

You've learned of Kami, the chosen Guardian of Earth, who is also a renowned warrior and teacher. Wishing to see if he would take you as his pupil, you decide to ascend to Kami's Lookout, which lies far above Korin's Tower, in the clouds. Upon arriving you are greeted by a robust black genie who tells you his name is Mr. Popo. Mr. Popo is very polite to you and a very generious host. However, he wishes to test your skills before he permits you to speak to the Guardian Kami. All you have to do is land a punch. Beware, despite his jovial appearance, Popo is a fearsome warrior.

Guardian's Trial

Requirement: Must have completed Guardian of Earth.

Reward: 3,000 zeni

Kami has agreed to train you, but first you must complete a trial. He takes you deep within the bowels of the lookout into a dark dank chamber. Within the chamber there are four torches. He tells you to light. Upon lightning them you will be pulled into the Astral Realm to face the spirit in battle. Each spirit has a different strength and weakness. Defeat the four and prove yourself to Kami.

Pendulum Room

Hard Quest

Requirement: Must have completed Guardian's Trial.

Reward: 1,500 zeni and +1,400 bonus XP.

After completing his trial, Kami takes you to the Pendulum Room. It takes you back in time to face a an ancient villain, more powerful than yourself. You must survive this encounter to reap the rewards of Kami's special training.

Reward: 2,000 zeni and +15 Hero Points

During your sleep you are visited by the Fortune Teller Baba, who hovers on her mysterious crystal ball. She asks for your help, promising you will be rewarded handsomely. Within a cave deep beneath the frigid cold Northern Mountains lies an old gateway to Other World. Baba had a vision of a girl possessed by demons going to open the gate. Head into the depths to investigate and seal the gateway before demons pour in from Other World.

Above the Clouds

A storm looms on the horizon. Far above Earth in the heavens themselves, resides a cloud created by the gods. But one can not simply fly up and claim their prize. The clouds that surround the artifact are almost impenetrable by mortals. Find a way through.

Piercing the Heavens

Requirements: Must have completed Above the Clouds.

Reward: 2,000 Zeni

You aren’t the only one to set your eyes on the heavenly cloud. And who wouldn’t? Even if its properties are unknown by most mortals, it was created by the gods. Some other worldly creatures are already there, creating some kind of machine to process the giant cloud. Stop them.

The Processor

Requirements: Must have completed Piercing the Heavens.

Reward: 1,500 zeni and Special Reward.

Defeating the guards was no simple task. But now you must deal with the machine that is tainting the cloud with evil energy. Destroy it and purify the cloud once more, or use the machine for your own deeds and make the cloud vile for your use.

Shen is more than satisfied at your killing of the Turtle School students. They've launched a counter attack and are coming at you. Shen decides that simply intercepting them will be no fun. Setting up a hostage situation will be far more entertaining. It's time to watch them squirm.

The Crane Hermit Finale

After the hostage situation, the King of Earth knows that you are a real threat. But, he also knows of your great strength and power. He's sent a group of assassin androids to kill both you and Shen. But, destroying them would be too easy and too fun. Shen tells you to defeat and capture the androids without breaking them, and then sends you to kidnap one of Capsule Corporations scientists, who is heavily guarded. Bring him back safe, so he can re-program them to kill their own masters.

A gang has been terrorizing West City. They call themselves the Spideros and have spider tattoos on their arms. It is said they are led by a powerful martial artist. Put a stop to the Spideros and defeat their leader.

Pockets Lined with Gold

Reward: 2,000 zeni and 10 Villain Points

You are hired by a some professional thieves to serve as their brute force. Apparently a train filled with gold ingots is headed through the snowy mountains to North City. The train is protected by some elite special forces and newly designed combat androids. Destroy them so that the thieves can board the train and take the gold. You'll get a nice cut.

Be warned, upon gazing into it you will be pulled into a magical realm inside, where you will face a great many tests and trials before you are released again to destroy it.

You have been summoned to Lake Ohkii-Mizu to aid a starving village. Upon arriving you find that the village has been terrorized by a strange water demon who steals all the fisherman's catches. Track down this demon and bring him to justice, by whatever means you find necessary.

Reward: 2,000 zeni and you are able to learn Mafuba.

A group of demons has been terrorizing South City. You face them in battle and defeat all but their leader, who seems immortal, no matter how many times you kill him he just keeps regenerating. So, you seek out advice from Master Roshi, who teaches you the legendary Mafuba technique, so that you can seal the demon away forever. Go forth and use the Mafuba!

Capsule Corp has been trying to sniff out a rumored scientist who has some how gotten his hands on the research of the former scientific mastermind of the Red Ribbon Army, Dr. Gero. They're afraid of what this person is going to try and do with it. They have put out a contract asking for a person or persons to come forward and head to the last reported location of this mad scientist. Your job is to go to that research lab and find out where the person is hiding.

You are sent by Capsule Corp to confront the man accused of using Dr. Gero's research to forward his own mad goals. However, outside of his newest research lab stands a handful of Android guards. They seem to have all the power of the Androids that Dr. Gero once created back in his heyday. You must defeat these creations if you ever hope to enter the inner sanctum of this crazy scientist's lab.

Standing on the Shoulders of a Titan

Prerequisite: Must have completed Android Guardians.

Reward: 3,500 zeni

Upon reaching the inner sanctum of the scientist's hideout, you come to discover that he has set an automated system to turn himself into a cyborg, a special type of human/android hybrid. Upon learning of this, you are caught unaware by another handful of Android henchmen, designed to prevent anyone from interrupting the process. By the time you start fighting these henchmen, you learn that you had arrived too late, and the scientist steps out of his surgery as a fully realized Android. You must destroy him and detonate the lab in order to prevent this misuse of science from ever occurring again!

You've heard rumor of a legendary staff that upon command can extend itself to great lengths. It was once wielded by Master Roshi, who gave it to his pupil, Gohan. Gohan died long ago, and the staff has since gone missing. However, you hear that a martial artist has been carrying it around from tournament to tournament, using its mystical power to defeat his enemies. Defeat him and claim the Power Pole.

So, the Power Pole you claimed from the martial artist is a fake--a replica made by Capsule Corporation. It can only extend so far and upon testing it's powers, you've broken it. Just as you are feeling like you want to give up on the artifact, an old man in a fox mask appears, wielding the pole. He hands you a staff and challenges you to a duel. You soon find the Power Pole has great advantages. Land a blow on him and you might find he is not a man, but a spirit--and if you're good enough the Power Pole may become yours.

He tells you that each day on the outside is equal to a year inside. The room is a place of terrible extremes. This is your story, your experiences within endless white abyss.

The Crane Hermit

Master Shen, the Crane Hermit hasn't taken a new student in years. You seek him out, but he tells you he will not train you unless you defeat one of Master Roshi's former students in battle. Seek out one of Roshi's former students and defeat them to impress the old master.

Turtle Shell - Accessory - A thick weighted enchanted turtle shell that helps protect the wearer from harm. Increases endurance by 500 10% of base attribute and reduces agility by 2% in combat. Boosts all XP gained from training by 8.
