Jeraph was getting ready for the second of Kami's trials. He had known that there was more to come, and that each remaining trial would be more difficult than the last. This time was different, every trial and tribulation he had faced before now he had either faced alone or a strange savior came to his aid. His memories fell into his thoughts like a november rain. The cavern that was speaking to him, showing him glimpses of his evil past was the first.

He was standing in a cavern prepared to face what ever was thrown at him, Master Korin had made it seem like it would be a physical confrontation. Then he was blind sided with the sight and sounds of what the demon inside him had caused him to do. It was real, although more than likely the spirit residing inside the cave had been projecting the images and causing them to seem like reality.

Then with a loud explosion the entire cavern shook, snapping him back to reality. Running towards the mouth of the cave was a man wearing blue, with black hair. The man was knocked unconscious by a falling rock from the cavern's roof. Khaos being who he was picked him up and along with his nimbus cloud flew the man to safety. He left the man in the care of an all female village, and went back to report to Korin.

The nimbus ride brought back another set of memories flooding in, this time it was in the clouds. Some how he had managed to find a book on earth legends, and in it was detailed about a storm system created by the gods. That only the purest of heart could enter to see the main cloud. The main cloud itself was protected by some sort of invisible barrier, that with everything Khaos hit it with it just bounced him back.

Finally he made it inside the cloud and had to fight off some demon's that were trying to harness the cloud for their evil intentions. During the fight something in the area off seventy percent of the cloud had been run through a machine and it's pure energy had been replaced with evil. This led to another trial, Khaos had to find a way to reverse the machine's effects.

This led him to his meeting with Bulma of Capsule Corporation, in said meeting she arranged for him to test an experimental prototype of a machine that would do the job. In exchange she paid him, but also wanted him to do her a favor later. That favor was check in on a scientist that was creating androids from the old Gero schematics. This proved to be a problem that almost cost Khaos his life.

The schematics had been improved on and one of the androids was able to assimilate the other's parts after they were defeated into it, and become a greater more powerful android than any that had been created before. After defeating this creation, Khaos had meant to go and end the projects of the mad scientist but the call to train with Korin had been more important.

As these memories had been flooding into his mind, Khaos could feel his rage rising inside him. He could feel every injury he sustained during all of these trials he had faced. His body was aching all over, but the odd thing was his skin began to feel like it had been lit on fire. His skin was visibly smoking, if any one had been paying attention, but they were distracted talking to Alberdyne.

The memories kept flooding in, this time the memory was after the water to heal the Senzu bean plant. The lost woods, the feeling that something was completely wrong with the area. Though his senses were intact, there wasn't a single noise of nature to be heard, there was no breeze blowing through the leaves or anything. Then the giant thunder lizard appeared. This was another battle that almost cost him his life.

The lizard wounded him, and every thrust of his blade just bounced off the armored hide of the creature. Eventually he felt his life draining from his body and is desperation managed to launch a deadly attack that won the day. He had slept and healed for what seemed like an eternity, but was only a week. The pain in his body caused Khaos to snap back to reality for a moment, his body was racked with pain, the rising steam from his skin was noticeable, and his head was like a bullet had pierced it in two separate places.

Khaos quickly fell to his knees, the pain racking his body, finally taking over his ability to remain standing. His anger, and power was welling inside him, but some how it was remaining hidden even from Kami, who was standing not two hundred yards from the hybrid. The pain that racked his body sent him into another memory, this time it was of the battle with his friend. The battle that left him dead.

The battle started well, it was friendly and everything was fun. Then out of no where, his friend yelled run as his energy started multiplying exponentially. The sound of terror, and excitement in his friends voice was still fresh in his mind. His opponent knew what was happening and had tried to warn him, but it was to no avail. Khaos didn't have time to run, so he used his powers to burrow into the earth.

He didn't bury himself far enough, and the ensuing blast launched him into the air, through trees head first, and then eventually caused him to crash to the earth and leave a massive crater. The entire time he was alive and felt his skin melting, his armor super heating, and even the pain of the trees and more. Thankfully before he cratered into the crust of the planet, he had passed on, and was on his way to Other World.

Once there some of his memories were returned by the Ogre at the check in station. Along with searching and finding a fruit that helped him gain even more knowledge. Then came the snake way run, this run was exhausting and by the time he reached King Kai, all he wanted to do was rest, but the little being had other things in mind, and instantly began his training.

Once again his anger welled inside him at the memory of being powerless and tossed down a hole into the core of the planet that was basically hell. The fight for survival in the cold unforgiving environment was bad enough, but the frost wyrms that attacked him were even worse. The bands that he agreed to wear that locked away all of his ki abilities, except the simplest of blasts had left a lasting imprint on his mind. They almost made his survival impossible.

The thoughts of dying while dead raced across his mind, he wondered what would had happened. If he would have been really dead, or what would have been. He then remembered being attacked by the second wyrm, then suddenly being transported back to King Kai, with the promise he now had the ability to learn the spirit bomb ability. This helped calm his anger.

The next memory flashed before him, this one was of being reborn inside the crater. Having to learn to use his muscles again. This time the memory that came was more of a light note, and left him feeling semi happy. He remembered landing on Kami's Look out, after his unfortunate demise, and not being greeted like he had been several times before. The genie Mr. Popo was no where to be seen for several moments.

When the genie finally approached a familiar voice rang out behind the genie, the voice was that of Alberdyne Cormyr, one of the first beings he had befriended since his initial rebirth and memory loss. They had, had a great duel on the astral plane and Khaos had emerged the victor, but during the fight he had decided that he would rather fight with this man than against him next time.

The trial he was about to undertake was in fact the chance to do this, Kami had instructed the two to both face two spirits each. Enthusiastically Khaos agreed and was ready to go, until the waves of memories had swept over him. The rage inside him during the memories had been growing like a fire in a dry and dead forest. It was having a strange effect on him though. Instead of it making him angry and want to hurt or injure some thing or one, it calmed him greatly. It was almost like both the souls inside him had combined to make the best use of rage, pain, and happiness.

The pain that had been racking his body subsided, but Khaos felt different. His physical form almost felt foreign to him. He managed to move unseen to a pool of water and look at his reflection. He was taken back, and almost breathless from what he was looking at. Out of the sides of his head, two horns had sprouted. They were thick and ended in a sharp point, they arched forward like bull horns. Out of his back twin black feathered wings had appeared, tearing through the flesh of his shoulder blades. The wings were akin to what people would consider angel wings, except for the color of the feathers.

Some of his muscular structure had actually increased in mass, and even his agility seemed to have increased. Looking at the form he watched himself in the pool, barely able to recognize himself in the mirror image, when it all returned to normal. He was now face to face with the self he had grown used to looking at. Strangely enough an imprint was made in his memory, and he knew how to harness this new form of himself for future use.
