To catch a Sayain (solo)

The fresh mountain air brought about a comforting breeze to Drago the last few months had been a frustrating search. How was he meant to find clues about a man who could have gone to another planet the range was too wide he needed to narrow it. His original idea was to find combat in the planet wherever he would find combat he was sure to find his father or so he thought but now it was looking more and more likely he had gone back to Vegeta. Drago hopped down off the crisp mountain side a family of goats dispatched away when he landed. The smell was horrible but familiar to Drago at this point he had climbed all of these remote areas looking in caves anything to suggest the presence of his father. Drago knew there was still some places his combat idea still was likely to work but he had learnt at the start of his journey there were some places he was too weak to venture alone the danger out weighed the gain there was no point getting information if he died in the process. This lead to Drago’s second goal to become strong enough to defeat these people and hopefully once he did that he would become feared and infamous enough that his father would come to him. Maybe that was a long range plan but Drago was not one for waiting he stood thinking what was a better plan than what he had if he had gone to Vegeta there still was a whole planet to cover. Then Drago thought he was going about it all wrong he shouldn’t have been looking for his father at areas of combat he needed to cast his net wider and find sayains in general if he was lucky they would know about his father if he questioned. Although he knew not many might be friendly enough to answer. It was his best chance Drago set off through the mountains it was time to find a sayain.

The search began Drago knew that the chances of finding a Sayain on Earth were slim but there was a few mostly challenging the its top fighters. The overcast skies made for a dull day it wasn’t there was something lacking Drago didn’t know what it was or how he could feel a bit more at ease but he didn’t like it. He powered up and flew out of the area. While in the air he wondered where was the best place to search for a sayain it was a needle in a haystack. He decided to go to the nearest city to him and get something to eat he would plan better a full stomach.

The city skyline made it easy to hide from the crowds below there was such a large population all like ants to him. He had heard of a ability to sense a persons power like a scouter. Drago knew that this would be an invaluable skill to learn pure sayains had a stronger power level that the average human being able to detect power would let him narrow the range of people that could be from Vegeta. For now Drago had to but up with the skills he had he found a less densely populated area of the city to glide down into. He strolled quietly out of an alley and walked onwards into the heart of the city. The crowd in the centre of the city was a buzz with students and workers the capsule corp building wasn’t to far from here so many of the workers were out on their lunch break. Drago walked over to a fast food restaurant that he was fond of the food was tasty and cheap and that’s all he really cared about he didn’t have that great a source of income.

He went in and ordered 20 burgers to the surprise of the girl at the cashier out of curiosity Drago though he would try something “ Have you ever seen a person with a tail around here” it was a long shot but Drago felt lucky after buying burgers. The girl gave him a strange look and proceed to whisper harshly to him “ Look I don’t know what your on but don’t take it on the premises just eat your food and get out”. Drago wasn’t long eating most of his food and took the last few burgers to go stuffing them in his pockets. Walking into the square of the city the large screen at its heart caught his eye as a news bulletin began to show.

Drago looked as the frail look news reporter sitting behind the desk. His black hair was glossed and he had think rimmed glasses. His upper lip quivered and there was a small bead of sweat rolling down his forehead. He took a sip from his water and began to talk. Everything about the man said he was nervous he was obviously a rookie and this was his first time presenting. Drago sat down as the headlines droned through the air he had no interest in these events they were always politics and entertainment news of peoples of lives who didn’t matter. The celebrity concept was lost on him those with fame needed to earn it he could think of many strong fighters worthy of what those that he could see.
Drago was beginning to bore and considered leaving but was stopped a little girl walked into him her ice cream cone falling on the ground. Drago looked down at her she looked scared he supposed at times he could look intimidating. The mother didn’t seem to like the look of him either understandable in a city that had a lot of crime. She tried to rush along with the child but Drago stopped her and bent down to the girl. “I am very sorry it looks like my trousers ate your ice cream” rustling around in his pocket him took out some money and handed it to the girl “Here get yourself and Extra scoop next time”. He got up and wiped the food from his leg when something on the news caught his ear.

“In other news a strange round ball that is believed to be some sort of alien spacecraft was uncovered today the person head of the dig said that investigation is still ongoing but they believe to have seen something like it before this News station has exclusive footage of the site over to you Johnny”. Drago looked onwards and the field reporter walked over to the site only to be stopped by men in radioactive protective suits. The cameraman zoomed in to give Drago a clear look at the ship. It was a space pod used by the PTO and most importantly for him the main source of transportations for sayains. This was a huge clue for Drago he couldn’t believe they put some celeb bullshit before this he had almost left. Drago needed to hurry before they closed off the area. He waited for the end of the news to hear its location it was just north of the city not too far to fly. He rushed on towards the north of the city shoving people out of his way he didn’t care for common courtesy at this point this was his best lead in 6 years he was not going to let it slip away from him. The ship would lead to a sayain which would hopefully lead to what this was all about his father. Reaching the edge of the city he prepared to take flight his aim set in solid stone.

Drago ran out of the city to the North and into the woods he took flight and headed to where the space pod was sighted near. This was his chance the pod could belong to someone that had contact with his father he wouldn’t have to wait the time it took for him to train. Alternatively if the pod was in good order he could use it to fly to Vegeta once his search on Earth had reached a dead end. He eventually found the site it was well hidden for something surrounded by vans and scientists. He had to get rid of them he knew they wouldn’t let some stranger anywhere near there precious discovery. He flew down into the forest behind them there was 20 scientists in all he quickly pounced and sneak attacked 3 throwing their bodies into the woods when they woke up they would not know what hit them. The rest were easy after he vanished in a burst of speed hitting all of them. He then turned to blast the measurement equipment he was suspicious of traps so he couldn’t be too careful.

He walked down to the ship only to be disappointed the think was broken the system didn’t work the door smashed and it was covered in moss. It was a piece of junk he looked inside a scouter was the only thing there his father used to have one. Drago placed it on his face and pressed the button there was crack in the glass but besides that he didn’t understand any of the symbols that appeared it was usless to him at this point. He placed it in his pocket it might have significance at some point. Drago rose up and sighed his journey had not come to an end as he had hoped but in fact his search for his father was only beginning.
