Piccolo Daimao Vs Bardock

A blazing sunset was setting now over the horizon, settling behind the mountainside. The glow illuminated the Demon King's face in a manner not unlike in days past.

His mind wandered off a time centuries ago, when all the world had known his might, when people groveled before him and begged for mercy. He remembered that glow, the glow of villages lit aflame while people cried out in terror. It was the last noise they would ever make before being slaughtered by his hand.

But it was all in the past now, a past he could never return to. In the present, he was little more than an aging man, the fitness of his youth left centuries behind. There were warriors today who may be able to best him in battle. He could sense them, scattered across the globe. It was one of the few things that threatened his sense of confidence and security.

So the mountainside was where he had chosen to take refuge... for now. Until the day he could return to his true strength.

But that nagging thought of someone, anyone coming along kept biting at his consciousness. Probably because he could feel the ki of another comparable warrior in the vicinity...

Bardock could feel the cool breeze sweep itself across his face as he flew from behind a mountainside. His body began to cool off as the sun set behind him. The Saiyan could feel the energy of a warrior somewhere in the area.

Bardock's fierce will to fight any challenger flowed through him like a coursing river. All of his training recently paid of with spars with Yamcha, and Trunks, and now anther fierce competitor was coming into Bardock's path. The proud Saiyan warrior now was so close to someone who was not as strong as him, but had the energy of someone who had some experience.

"This upcoming fight would be a promising one," Bardock spoke happily as he took off toward this strange challenger.

He now approached the fighter ; who was sitting on the mountain side.

Bardock flew within ten feet of the creature and landed on the terrain. Then the Saiyan began to speak,

"I don't know who you are, but I think you'd be a very promising fighter, how bout we call this a friendly fight?"

Bardock smiled as he charged up a large amount of ki. His body grew stronger with every second he powered up.

The warrior's approach was sudden, but not unexpected. The Demon King was keeping a close watch on him, not with his eyes, but with his sixth sense. His antennae twitched slightly as the being's ki came closer.

A man touched down in front of him -- not a normal looking man, but clearly a trained, battle-hardened warrior, as indicated by the scars that dotted his face. his hair and outfit were unruly, typical of someone as uncivilized as Piccolo Daimao surmised he was. Despite that, he had a slight air of authority, an aura about him that indicated he wasn't a person you'd want to cross twice. It was probably just the armor.

"I don't know who you are, but I think you'd be a very promising fighter, how bout we call this a friendly fight?" The man immediately spoke.

"So quick to get to the point... So arrogant the Demon King thought. "And foolish." But he didn't make any comment aloud. His actions would speak more clearly.

Immediately, the opposing warrior began to concentrate his ki and a fiery aura engulfed his body. And that was his second mistake. Even if this person intended to have a friendly fight, it wasn't something that was going to happen. As the aura intensified, Piccolo Daimao shot a small orb of ki at the ground, turning up dust and obscuring the battlefield. Perhaps he had even broken his newfound foe's concentration. Of course, the attack was meant to do little more.

He locked on to his opponent's life force. The warrior was in his aim now like a target between the crosshairs. He raised a finger, confident that his opponent wouldn't be able to see him through the veil of dirt, and fired a quick beam of energy at his opponent's right eye.

Bardock could feel the tension in this fight, I mean He really did just find a random stranger and challenge him. The Saiyan took a couple steps forward expecting the man to say something but before Bardock knew it a blast came speeding his way. It collided with his the ground,stirring up tons of dust that Bardock chocked on. Bardock stumbled backward several steps.

Bardock straitened himself out and a grin formed upon his face. with the dust still covering already his body.

"I've taken many blasts to my chest,legs,and face," Bardock told the greened skinned person " If that blast really did serious damage to me then I could've died instantaneously in my last spar,"

He reached his hand out, planning on firing a blast at the enemy,but they had a different plan for Bardock. He felt the energy leave the finger of his enemy, Bardock dodged the blast by speeding so fast out of the way of the direction of the beam. After it passed Bardock wiped his forehead from the sweat that collected on his face.

"Holy crap, if that would've hit me I would be dead right now, the beam would've gone right through my eye, killing me instantly," Bardock spoke as he started to form an energy ball

The Saiyan prepared for a huge release of energy that could harm the enemy if it were to hit. Bardock screamed as loud as he could as he let go of the energy attempting to hit the strange looking enemy in chest. Once the attack was over he took off at as fast as he could. Once he reached the opponent he discharged his fist into the enemy chest, along with the punch was a strong Kiai-Ho that he had been saving for awhile. The punch seemed like it would work if it was able to hit, that's if it hit, they could dodge it if they knew what was coming.

Bardock pulled back after attempting to use the Ki-Ho technique. He was getting worn down after this long day.

Bardock lowered himself to the ground and spread his legs several feet apart and got into a fighting stance.

"My name is Bardock, and I'm a fightoholic (someone who is addicted to fighting)," Bardock proudly told his challenger

The man -- Piccolo presumed him human -- was quite the talkative one. He seemed to enjoy giving a play by play of his fights like he was some sort of announcer. The Demon King wasn't sure if it was arrogance or stupidity, but he knew for a fact that those were two of the traits he hated most in a person.

Narrowly, the human dodged his attack. Apparently, the veil of dust hadn't mattered. It seemed apparent that this man was a skilled enough warrior that he could sense ki. That's one more thing he'd have to keep in mind...

A soft aura formed around his opponent's hand and an orb of ki rose out of it. Swiftly, the warrior chucked it at the Demon King's chest. He locked onto its energy like a seeking missile and fired off his own blast of ki. The split instant the attack was fired, he shot back his own burst of ki. The two attacks collided in close proximity to his opponent, causing an explosion upon impact. With any luck, the opposition would get caught in the attack.

Suddenly, the human rushed forward, ignoring the events that had just transpired. It seemed at first that he was about to punch, an attack Piccolo Daimao felt no need to counter, but the attack never happened. Instead, a burst of concussive energy burst forth from the man's fist, leaving a bruise on his stomach and throwing him back several feet before he skidded to a halt.

The other warrior took up a wide stance and boldly proclaimed, "My name is Bardock, and I'm a fightoholic!"

Such overconfidence... the Demon King mused. It must be punished.

He lowered his ki down to a point where it would be virtually undetectable, then darted off to the left. The sheer speed with which he dashed made him nigh impossible to detect with the naked eye. He reappeared behind the man called Bardock and reached out a hand, attempting to grab him firmly by the neck. His hands were large enough that, should the attack connect, he fingers would wrap the entire way around.

But that wasn't enough. It needed a coup de grace. The Demon King focused his energy into his free hand, giving it a violent, crackling aura. He placed his palm flat to his opponent's back, hoping to shoot him down at point blank.

Deep within the warrior Bardock, there was a dash of hope that hopped around inside his body. The thrill from this battle had proven to be quite great from the series of events that had happened so far. With every punch, kick,ki attack, or special move that the Saiyan had used made him grow more aware of the challengers ability to use attacks wisely. If Bardock could get multiple steps ahead of the opponent then the battle would grow easy, or worse if they caught on and changed their tactics.

In a fraction of a second Bardock's competitor was gone, but Bardock could't react fast enough. Soon his neck was grabbed and his body was struck with pain, his body immediately started to run out of breath. The natural instinct of Bardock kicked in. He swung his elbow backward into the enemy, causing him to release the Saiyan.

Now Bardock was mad, he darted back at the enemy and halfway he started to form a ki wave and within seconds he aggressively fired the wave with as much power as he could put into it. The energy smacked into something, he couldn't tell much about it.

To him there wasn't time to wait to see if it hit. The day was getting darker and there was no major signs of who would win. Without hesitation he fired anther blast into the smoke, this time it was Ki ball. It flew through the air and hit something, the dust was to strong for him to tell what.

One more was all he needed to show his ki strength. He fired anther Ki wave into the dust knowing nothing had come out of the dust since the first wave. With luck the blast soared into the dust diapering with it, followed by a loud explosion.

After the three energy assaults the Saiyan landed on the ground waiting to see if his plan had worked.

Piccolo Daimao could feel his opponent trying to gasp for air as he clenched down more tightly on his opponent's neck. It was beginning to feel fragile to him, like the shell of an egg he was all to eager to break. But he would keep the pressure off of it. If he were dead now, he would never suffer.

Surprisingly, his opponent managed to gather up what remained of his strength. His elbow shoved the Demon King in the soft spot where his upper and lower torso met. Wracked with pain, he released his grip.

He gritted his teeth as his opponent took a bound backward, landing several meters away. The expression on the warrior's face was one of rage -- and frustration. Frustration that he was given this much trouble by a strange looking green man. And in his anger, he fired off a burst of ki at Piccolo.

The energy was blindingly fast and it smacked into him like a cannon ball, forcing him back a short distance. Despite that, he kept traction with the ground and never stumbled. The smoke caused from the impact was enough to make him wheeze, but it wasn't enough to keep him from retaliating. He tossed his own ball of ki into the cloud in the direction he could sense his opponent's presence. But he had failed to acknowledge the fact that his foe had fired off yet another attack. The two fortunately collided with one another, resulting in an explosion just small enough that he was out of the blast radius.

He could sense the fighter charging up one final wave of ki and he wasn't about to let this one slide. He braced himself, planted his feet in a wide stance with his right arm crossing his chest. As the attack neared, his arm shot out across the length of his body, smacking it in the side. It veered off to his right.

But that wasn't enough. He couldn't let such an attack simply go to waste. He suppressed his energy down to a level where it would be nigh undetectable and seemed to vanish into thin air. As he was still in a veil of smoke, it was doubtful that his opponent would even notice he had moved. In less than a second, he reappeared to the right rear of his enraged foe and attempted to strike him heavily with the back of his fist -- hopefully heavily enough to send him flying. With the angle that he was currently at, if it should succeed, his opponent would probably veer into the blast of ki.

Perfect.

The attack landed flawlessly, knocking the younger warrior in a nearly straight line. The velocity he traveled was fast enough that he into the ki blast's trajectory before it was too late. In an explosive flash, the energy collided with the human's side. Piccolo Daimao shielded himself, just in case there was debris thrown into the air by the explosion.

It came as a surprise to him that his opponent was still standing after meeting head on with that attack. Of course, he had done the same moments ago with little more than a still aching bruise and torn garments. Still, he was rather impressed by this man's willpower. He had taken far more of a beating than Piccolo. But at this point, it seemed that he was running out of not that, but stamina.

The warrior seemed to be lost in thought for a brief moment. The Demon King thought to act, perhaps attack him in his weakness, but just then, he spoke.

"Your attacks are quite amazing, you skills aren't half bad either. This battle is one that I can't forget; not in a million years," he remarked. He took a few wobbly steps backward before taking to the air, flying off into the horizon.

So that was it. It was done. He left as quickly as he'd come. He'd been as abrupt about his exit as his introduction. It was such a freak even, the Demon King could swear that somewhere up in heaven, the gods had been playing with him for their amusement.

What an unusual man...
