“Tell me, are you afraid of death?”

“I do not fear death.”

“What of life Ivander? Do you fear living?”

The brother of Death God broke free of the clouds, dispersing them in random directions. At his speeds, he was screeching towards West City like a human missile. Anger smoldered in his dull gray eyes. He let gravity to its job, pulling him faster downward in a free fall.

He knew the brute was here, he could smell him. His energy was everywhere it seemed, a putrid stench, like wet dog, that lingered in the air. Just sensing Broly's spiritual energy fueled his frustration. He wanted nothing more than to rip the arrogant warrior's spine out and crush it with his bare hands.

Who did he think he was challenging the supremacy of the Organization? Oroki had given the bastard a dragonball, as if to reward him for defying them and for defeating Rex. Well, Rex had been Ivander's apprentice, not Oroki's, so losing an ally hadn't didn't matter to his brother one way or another. Rex had been too weak and had failed them all, but that didn't mean his killer was worthy enough to take one of the sacred dragonballs and do what he wanted with it.

“You will not forbid me from doing shit Oroki. If you will not show these cretins why the Organization rules supreme, then I will.”

Ivander didn't care about stopping or controlling his descent. All he did was turn his body around so that his feet hit the top of the building instead of his face. It was a large stone building, some sort of museum or national monument, not that Ivander paid attention to anything like that. The stone sank in, forming a crater beneath his feet. Cracks and fissures spread out in all directions and he heard some glass shattering from the windows below.

The air was thick with humidity and he took a deep breath. There was a park below him, with gardens, well groomed trees, ponds, and even some bronze fountains spewing out fresh water. Hundreds of people stood outside of the building. All stared up at him with their mouths agape. He merely rolled his shoulder, stretching the muscles, and hawked up some snot from his nose, spitting at the crowd. The yellow-green glob of mucus tumbled through the air, landing on the bridge of some old lady's nose.

All hell broke loose after that. Screeching, people ran away. Ivander noted the way they dispersed like frightened cattle. He withheld his itch to kill them all. No, that was what had cost Balzar his life, simple arrogance and being too damn bloodthirsty for his own good.

Black strands of spiritual energy began to flare up around his body, crackling and bristling. Within seconds a dark veil had surrounded him. Bolts of crimson electricity danced from the top of his hands to his finger tips, weaving their way down around his boots.

The dark power he had accepted from Master flowed through him. It felt good to free it, as if he were lightening a heavy burden he had been carrying for years. The pain came quickly. It was a lancing senation that spread throughout his entire body. Blood dibbled from his nose and ears. He gritted his teeth. Veins bulged in his forehead and arms as the energy filled every fabric of his body—reinforcing it and making him even stronger.

His gray eyes turned to blood red and his felt his flesh mutating, forming almost a lizard like hide. It itched badly and he wanted nothing more than to tear off his flesh like it was a wooly sweater. Sharp black spines erupted from his shoulder blades, elbows and kneecaps. The clouds he had dispersed had begun to collect once again, darkening above. Bright red streaks of lightning cut jagged streaks through the skies.

Objects began to levitate all around him, spinning in orbit. The water in the fountains erupted forth like a gushing geyser. It swirled around his demonic form, along with chips of stone, pieces of trash, baby strollers, backpacks—all sort of objects left behind by the panicking tourists. One single pulse of energy scattered the floating objects in all directions. Invader levitated off of the tattered roof, smiling wickedly, his teeth looking like sharpened black needles.

With so much power at his will, the juggernaut began to collect it into his right fist. The red electricity danced off of it, swirling and churning up and down his arm. Within a second or two he had ample enough power in it to break even the greatest of warriors.

A shimmering veil of blood red spiritual energy surrounded him and he blasted off in Broly's direction. They were a about twenty miles outside of the city, in the countryside. Ivander could have gone up, or around, but he decided to take the most direct route—through the heart of the metropolis.

He left behind a wake of pure destruction as he slammed through skyscrapers and lesser buildings along the way. Shards of glass, splinters of wood, fluttering papers, and hunks of concrete made up his trail. The walls before him stood no chance, as if they were made of paper mache, collapsing the moment he touched them. One such building, in the center of the path, was so weak and brittle that it crumbled into its neighbor, sending up a plume of dust and blackened smoke.

After checking through a building that had served as a homeless shelter, he realized he was on the outskirts of the city, and picked up speed. The pavement below him was shredded by his spiritual energy, leaving nothing more than a long blackened trench a few feet deep.

The houses of the suburbs stood even less of a chance. It was as if they were made of toothpicks and when he flew through them. They exploded like a half-stick of dynamite put into a doll house. A wash of debris tumbled and rolled behind him, as if he were the core of a massive horizontal tornado.

He was sure that is what they would say on the news. He could see the big headlines in his mind's eye:

A TORNADO IN WEST CITY!

Humanity was so ignorant. They worshiped weak gods and believed they beheld greatness. No, they knew nothing of just how miniscule they were on the grand scale of things—and also how easy it was to annihilate them all.

Sure, he had probably killed numerous people, but he wasn't Balzar, who was targeting people rather than his enemy. No, he was imply traversing to his destination, his true attack to be delivered there. After breaking free of the suburbs it was the forest that faced his wrath. Trees crumbled into splinters as he tore through them. It was like a lawnmower being driven through a patch of broccoli.

He spotted the shuttle and cocked his fist. The gap shortening at such a rate that would cause nausea to even the best fighter pilots.

“Knock, knock, mother fucker!”

Broly was in the shuttle, he could sense his presence. The thick aluminum that the shuttle was constructed of stood not a single chance against the full might of his power. He extended his fist attempting to drive it home right into Broly's torso. If there wasn't blood, he would surely be disappointed.

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Broly 7/4/2012, 7:26 pm

Broly leaned forward, placing a hand on the demon’s desk as he requested tea. Broly did not want tea; he wanted the power that was already rightfully his. If this creature was going to be troublesome about it, he would force the boy to do it. A one percent chance was far superior than a zero percent one. Then again, hadn’t the wizard mentioned that Broly would be destroyed by his own might? Crippled by the very power he had sought after for so long? Swallowing the rage steadily growing inside of him, the Saiyan struggled to avoid crushing the wood beneath his fingertips.

”Do you not understand me, demon? Are you unaware of my capability?”, with that he forced his other hand onto the desk, this time a clenched fist. It shook and rattled the wood, forcing the rest of the room’s contents to jump. He was very quickly losing control of himself, in this place; he would do anything to gain the power promised to him, though. If that meant he had to suffer this fool for a few hours more, that was a price worth paying.

However, he had to wonder what was allowing this thing to feel as though he was in command of things; didn’t he feel Broly’s might? Couldn’t he identify with the power he held in his hands, the power that Broly could offer to him? Face shifting into a scowl, the Saiyan slowly leaned back, straightening his posture. He would extend this creature his offer one more time. He wanted to know what potential Broly had? He would show him. In fact, he had been about to open his mouth when he felt himself go light headed.

He could see a flash of light, flickering in his mind’s eye as a massive energy approached on the horizon. His brow furrowed, struggling with the immense nature of this power. It was far stronger than any other he had ever felt on this planet, surpassing both the human Yamcha and the Changeling Sairai. His lips fell open for the briefest moment as his head snapped to glance out the door of the shuttle. Something that looked far more dangerous than Izon was approaching the both of them.

It could have been faster, but Broly was not concerned much with that. He was no longer concerned about anything Earthly; he was no longer concerned at all. He could feel the hair on the back of his neck raising and his skin tingling, a familiar shiver working its way up his spine. Oh, this was beautiful. Not only had fate delivered him an opponent with a power that was, at the least, equivalent to his own-- it had delivered him opportunity. His open jaw slowly closed and his lips twisted into a sadist’s grin, as his body turned to face this approaching warrior.

It was obvious that whoever this was had approached for him; nothing so powerful could be after the demon at his side. Clenching both fists tightly at his side, Broly shot a furtive glance to Ian Lancaster, the creature who had just a moment ago been questioning his usefulness and loyalty. If this agent had come here seeking to fight, Broly would allow him that chance; he would allow him that chance and give himself the chance to give Lancaster a show.

”You need my services to survive, fool. Do you think you could stand against such an awe-inspiring tide?”, Broly growled out the words with a mixture reminiscent of cocky distaste. It was not often he complimented an opponent on their power, but this; this was simply amazing. It was not that Broly found their might superior, no. It was that he found their might an opportunity to test his own, a moment to throw himself against the wall and struggle. This would be his first battle with someone who could have possibly been on his plateau of power, his level of strength; he would not let it go.

His muscles tensed as the thing approached, angle slightly differing from the door. So he was going to tear through the wall? Grinning grimly, the Saiyan let his aura slowly rise. If he wanted to approach, Broly would give him a beacon to home in on. If he wanted a struggle, he would receive one unlike that of any other witnessed in history, a battle which threatened to consume everything in it’s path. He could feel his blood pumping through his veins, hear his heart pounding inside of his chest like a drummer to a frenzied beat. His senses were on edge. It was a fucking miracle that he hadn’t lost control already.

Suddenly, the creature’s speed increased. His body was now approaching the shuttle at something Broly assumed was terminal velocity. The metal beneath his feet shook and danced as his aura exploded out around him, revealing his excitement to this incoming challenger. However; this time, something was different. Instead of it erupting around him in as if a crackling flame bursting to life, it expanded from around his midsection, exploding outward to fill the air around him in a sphere of emerald haze, which quickly solidified into his ki.

Still grinning as the man screamed at him, Broly felt his fists clenching hard enough to produce crimson blood, which slowly fell through his fingertips, only to meet the burning sphere around his body and evaporate with a hushed hiss. He could feel his eyebrows narrowing and targeting in on this approaching challenger, his power rising every second and enhancing the strength of his protective barrier. It was amazing; it was ecstasy to feel such power giving itself to him, and it would be even more so to feel it bend to his will.

”Demon, you had better escape with your life before I reconsider.”

The creature’s fist tore through the aluminum shielding with little effort, throwing itself against his barrier with amazing force. Had Broly been weaker, it may’ve shattered around him. However, it held with a resolution firm enough to make Stonewall Jackson bend before it. Broly could feel it shaking and shivering, the contents of the cabin they currently occupied shaking and moving from the force of the strike’s collision with his energy, though he was unimpressed.

Smirking with enthusiasm, Broly let his energy expand outward as it climbed. His hair lifted with a sudden flow of wind, his eye twitching and his lips slowly parting to give way to a screech loud enough to reach the heavens themselves. Outside, the ground was shaking even more than the shuttle; trees were collapsing in the distance and the grass around them was waving in all directions as if controlled by a malevolent conductor of wind and breeze. He could feel his muscles expanding, every ounce of his body responding to the challenge presented by his opponent.

It felt fucking amazing.

His screech subsided as his hair’s color began to transition from black into a neon blue, almost purple hue. This was something he had never shown the Organization before, something that to the best of his knowledge, was uniquely his own. They could claim all they wanted that their master had given them his power, that he had gifted them with force unstoppable and a strength unimaginable; Broly would not believe such outlandish bullshit until they stomped him into his grave with all the force they claimed to possess.

Suddenly, the barrier dispersed into the familiar fire-like aura that usually surrounded him, his power reaching a crescendo as a shower of sparks diffused into the air around him in preparation for the moment to come. Whatever the fuck this guy had been thinking attacking him so boldly, he would quickly discover the idea to be a poor one. Broly had never known defeat, nor had he ever encountered a power capable of consuming his own; this made the moment all the more entrancing.

”Kekeke; who’s there, boy?!”, his voice barked to Ivander with malintent while the warrior lifted a hand into the air, first pointing to the newcomer’s chest before beckoning him forward. If he wanted to attack, then he could by all means try. If he wanted to meet death, then Broly would, by all means, shepard him forward to his demise. It was only the merciful thing to do, with men of such bravado. It was the only thing he would dare do, for fear of losing his chance at testing his power.

It was the only thing he knew how to do.

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Izon 7/4/2012, 8:49 pm

Ian simply grinned at the frustration and bewilderment of the Saiyan. Broly was certainly not trained in the art of negotiations and Ian knew he had him right where he wanted him. Ian could almost feel the battle inside the Saiyan. The battle over what he needed and what he wanted to do to Ian.

"Do you not understand me, demon? Are you unaware of my capability?" The desk shook as the beefy man's fist came down onto the desk.

Ian just stood there and smiled. Negotiations wise, he had the Saiyan on the ropes. But he also knew this could turn into a bad situation quickly. Though with the amount of will power Broly was using, he suspected it was more important than his little mangled body.

You don't scare me Broly. This was what was channeling through his mind when he noticed Broly froze a moment. Then his head turned, looking out the door of his shuttle. The dog's nose picked something up. Ian could tell something was coming, just from Broly's movements and sudden change of attention span.

A dog and a squirl, Ian thought, then snickered a bit.

"You need my services to survive, fool. Do you think you could stand against such an awe-inspiring tide?", growled the beast.

Ian leaned against the wall to the shuttle, just to the right of the door to the cockpit where Cira waited. He watched the Saiyan's anticipation grow. It was like a fat boy and candy. He could smell it miles away. Ian simply had to brace for it. He knew anything he said now would be lost, and thus he waited.

Iric had arrived outside and immediately received a response from Izon to wait there. His ability to speak through the mind was a beneficial ability that would allow them to coordinate in battle. He knew Broly was in there. Negotiating with Ian. From what he understood, Broly was a Saiyan, which meant he was certainly not able to stand toe to toe with his master when it came to words. And from what he saw in hell, not in power either. But he could be wrong. Ian was a talker. He was a clever bastard that always seemed to have a plan.

Ian's grin never faded. He watched as a shimmering field of energy surrounded his enemy. Then the shuttle shifted, throwing anything not bolted down, or strong and stable enough, into the air. The wall of the shuttle exploded inward and Ian could feel the intense shockwave that threatened to throw him through the shuttle as an unstoppable beast struck an immovable wall before him. The glass shattered, and his desk turned to kindle. Barely good enough for firewood.

The shaking didn't stop, and Ian almost had to fight just to stay on his feet as Broly's power rose. It wasn't that Ian could feel it. He couldn't except he felt goosebumps. It was power that could be felt physically. It was raw power. It wasn't long before it had ended and the crumpled mess that was his shuttle had stopped moving.

Cira had bailed as was what Ian wanted him to do. Cira was his right hand man. He was there to take over the business while Ian was away. He had to survive. Iric on the other hand was nothing but canon fodder.

Ian watched to two towers before him stare one another down. It was the clash of the titans. He could kiss his shuttle good bye. Not that he cared. He preferred his limo anyway. Here though, he knew they wanted the blood of one another. Here, if Broly survived, would be at his mercy. And if this other beast survived, he would also be at Ian's mercy. All he had to do was wait.

In a way though, he hoped Broly would win, so that he could finish negotiations. It was up in the air though. Ian would certainly have a show to watch. He only wished he had popcorn or chips to snack on. Maybe a glass of wine. He had to be vigil though. Ian would watch every step and keep himself ready, in case they decided to take the runt of the pack out first.

"It seems our negotiations are on hold while you have some fun. Do enjoy yourself."

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Game Master 7/5/2012, 8:22 pm

Ivander gritted his teeth against the force of the impact. The entire interior shuttle had been torn to shreds, but Broly remained, protected by nothing more a thin emerald green veil of spiritual energy. Bolts of crimson lighting rolled down Ivander's arm and crackled across the surface of the barrier; nothing more than forlorn remnants of the initial attack.

Broly's barrier faded a half second later, blossoming into a surge bright green spiritual energy that blew Ivander back a few paces. His feet slid down the shuttle's wing, and he felt himself teetering on the edge. The power emanating form his opponent was gargantuan, nearly a large as Ivander's own.

There is no way!

Ivander couldn't help the sneer that crossed his expression. Perhaps it was a bit of jealousy, he wasn't sure, because it felt like nothing but a pure seething hatred. His great power had been lent to him by Master, but Broly was the master of his own power. There seemed something wrong with that, something really wrong.

I trusted my brother's judgement, But, maybe I've taken the wrong path? Ivander thought for the briefest moment, but then shook the notion off. Doubt meant nothing at this point, it was a useless feeling. He was in battle, and the only thing he needed to concentrate on was destroying the man in front of him.

”Kekeke; who’s there, boy?” Broly said and pointed at him, taunting him to make an attack.

“My brother Oroki was the fool who underestimated you,” he said. “I, Ivander, will be the one who breaks you.”

Reaching down, Ivander took hold of the shuttle's wing, letting his feet hover off of the surface a few inches. His immense strength crumpled the metal and with one swift motion he yanked the entire wing off. It was three times the length of his body, but it didn't matter. He swung it up like a giant axe and came down with all of his might, attempting to bash Broly's skull in with the dull edge of it.

Releasing the hunk of plane, Ivander flew backwards towards the sky. Lowering his hand to his belt, he wrapped his fingers around a small metal canister dangling there and yanked it free. Pulling the pin with his teeth, he proceeded to hurl the canister towards Broly's location. It tumbled end over end at a speed that the best baseball pitchers couldn't dream of. Nearing its target, the canister popped open and dousing the entire area in a cloud dull gray smoke. However, it was no ordinary smoke. Within moments the substance would seep its way inside of Broly's body and begin to slowly sap him of his strength.

Just the mere thought of the suffering that little bomb would cause brought a delighted smile to Ivander's face. He assumed his fighting stance. His right arm was bent in front of his chest, hand flat, and his left at his beside his hip, fist balled.

“I hear my apprentice Rex took your arm off,” Ivander said. “I'm glad to see you've grown it back. Let me say, I am far stronger than he was. If you give up now, I assure you I will make your death quick and... less painful.”

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Broly 7/9/2012, 10:23 pm

Broly felt immense satisfaction rush over him as the other man’s expression curled into a sneer. Was he jealous? Was he afraid of the power Broly possessed? Many were; that was just fact. They were envious of his strength, while simultaneously fearing whatever he might do with it. They were, more often than not, right to do so. A Saiyan Warrior’s intent was rarely benevolent, especially when he had Broly’s trademark lack of sanity. Nothing the Saiyan did had any type of rhyme or reason other than destruction and self sustenance.

Something about making a body bend to his will made him feel pleasure and something he couldn’t describe; joy? Perhaps in place of the joy he had missed out on as a child? No. This was far darker than any glee, this was far more malicious and dangerous. This was the ecstasy of combat flooding over his body as his opponent bent to retrieve the wing, his words outright stating that he would be the one to break Broly. This mattered little to the Saiyan; many had boasted with such claims.

An equal number had failed miserably. He could see them now, mangled faces flashing through his eyes as the shuttle wing rose like an executioner’s axe, preparing to slide down upon the warrior’s metaphorical neck. It was clear that this was not intended to be a single shot victory blow; this was just intended to distract him somehow. Corners of his own mouth rising slowly, the Saiyan braced his body.

”Should you give me reason, boy, I’ll tell you my name. Until then, know me as naught but destruction itself!”

He would give the boy a free blow; but he would give him no more. Eyes alight with some type of inner fire, the child inside Broly slowly began to break free. This was the same child who had laid waste to planets on a whim, who had done away with entire solar systems because he fucking could. This was the nightmare child who had furthered the diminishment of his fluttering sanity; the child who so long ago, had been afraid of his father’s constantly weakening grip and hatred.

This was the child behind Broly’s ever-growing power, and this was the child Ivander would come to fear in the moments to come. The Saiyan could feel his heart pumping and his body temperature rising as a maelstrom of ki emerged around his body once more, renewing his strength and forcing it to grow. He could feel it everywhere around him as Ivander’s makeshift club came slamming down upon his head, forcing the shuttle flooring beneath him to crumble and shatter as he was pushed into the dirt.

He hadn’t even felt the pain; though this was strength far higher than the amount needed to kill a mortal man, Broly’s excitement wasn’t letting him acknowledge it. He was entering berserker mode, a state that it so often seemed like he had invented. Where most would call this a type of high, Broly knew better. This was far better than any high an Earthling could have achieved off of Adrenaline; this was his drug. Power; power was his drug and he would use it as he saw fucking fit.

He pushed himself up with a sluggish and yet somehow insulting pace, as if he didn’t have the care to rise to Ivander’s challenge. Then, through the freshly risen cloud of dust, a small canister came rocketing toward him. Eyes narrowing, the Saiyan forced his body to the side, watching with interest as it exploded in the air around him. So, the boy couldn’t kill him by conventional means? How pathetic! Snorting with all of the grace of a bull, Broly observed the substance as it seemed to melt into his skin.

This pain, he could not ignore. The poison spreading into his every pore forced the nerves to react, sending frenzied flashes of furious pain to his brain. Had he been weaker, had he been less capable, this would’ve forced him to the ground. However, Broly was not weak. Gritting his teeth together, the warrior glanced up to the sky toward Ivander. He could not blame him for resorting to such a low level; though he still felt the rage rising inside of him.

The maelstrom of ki that had been raging around him mere seconds ago suddenly exploded and diffused into a sparkling wind as his feet left the ground, his body a blur of frenzied motion. He could feel the air struggling in vain against his musculature, the world around him shaking and shuddering as he had left the ground; he could feel the fear of those who sensed his power, and it only fueled his high. He was truly a dog.

Tongue lolling out of his mouth as he approached his opponent, fist cocked, the warrior rocked with laughter.

”You...You think I would surrender to a force so pathetic?!”, the words left his mouth with a quick, rushing river-like flow. He cared little for offers of a quick death, for he would not be the one dying. In fact, to Broly it was the opposite way around. He could already feel the boy’s skull making contact with the Earth below, and then the subsequent satisfactory crunch of a curbstomp well executed.

Snarling as he entered melee range, Broly’s cocked hand sprang forward like a machine gun, releasing a fast and furious frenzy of strikes directed toward the chest and face. Each blow was deliberately paced and intended to unleash the warrior’s dangerous, but diminishing power upon his opponent. The sting of the poison was evident in his arms, in his chest and in his legs as he struck forward with all of his might.

As the third strike’s recoil sent his arm slithering back toward his body, the Saiyan suddenly stepped forward with deliberation. Energy rose around his fist as his fist flew forward toward Ivander’s head, his body entering the man’s guard. He was hoping to send the man flying away once more, this time toward the City in the distance. As his arm extended, he could once more feel the sting of poison effecting his body, forcing his teeth to grind together.

”Don’t worry, boy. You’ll see your apprentice again soon enough.”, spoke the Saiyan bitterly, fully intent on making this into truth.

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Izon 7/10/2012, 10:32 am

Ian moved to the hole as the two fighters had left the shuttle. He watched as his shuttle was being torn apart. The new comer had grabbed the wing and effortlessly ripped it from the body, taking a swing at Broly. This was not going to be a safe place to be in. He left the shuttle, out the back and stood by as Broly and the other went at one another.

Ian watched the two. Their power enticed Ian, but only for a moment. He liked power, but he preferred power of persuasion. He had a knack for it and he loved watching those normally with power flounder the way Broly had before him. Brute strength could only go so far. Words and money were a much more powerful weapon. Words can make your opponent kneel before you. Money can buy you the recognition. Strength was simply a power that deluded people.

Ian had power over Broly, and should he survive this, Ian had more. Strength was useful only if you had the other two as well. And thus Ian waited. He watched this fight and learned. He took notes of the way Broly fought and kept an eye on who was ahead. And so far from what he could tell, Broly was leading the way.

Iric came up beside him, silent as usual. He wasn't sure what Iric could be useful for, except maybe a meat shield, but he was glad he was around. If either of them decided to attack him, Iric would be the one to take the hit. It was his purpose. It's why he was back alive. It was why he lost some of his Saiyan blood and became a demon creature.

Cira was already gone. Fleeing, getting things ready in case of sudden death of his master... again. He was a fish who was probably the most reliable employee. He had initiative, he had ambition. Ian knew Cira didn't much care for him. Not since he obliterated his friend. But there was nothing he could do. He was stuck to either work for him or die by his hand. In other words, not much of a choice at all.

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Game Master 7/11/2012, 12:12 am

The blaze left a dull red glow in the night sky. Embers rose up in great flurries, battling it with the blue white specks that made up the stars. The castle was surrounded on all sides. The tide of men and armor made their way towards the gates The ram pounded with a resounding crash, the men roaring with each thrust. All around Ivander, he could hear the thrumming of bowstrings, as the archers let loose their flaming arrows.

There were no enemy arrows coming in his direction, because their archers were focused on the men right below their gate. Cauldrons of burning pitch were cast over the edge of the battlements to land amongst the those foolish enough to be standing below the wall. The cries of the dying were sweet music to Ivander's ears. He just wished he could be in the foray, feeling skulls crumpling beneath his fists.

Oroki was at the rear of the column, sitting high upon his horse, talking to Lord Gendlen. They had been employed by the ambitious warlord to wreck havoc upon his enemies. So far, they had done nothing more than stand in the wind and rain, watching as his pathetic legion of peasants with pointy sticks tried to break into the castle.

Beside him, a large trebuchet was finished being loaded. They had packed an iron ball filled with kindle and casks of oil. A man with a torch lit it and the ball was loosed. It descended upon it destination like a meteor, burning bright red. So far they had been ineffective at hitting their target. Ivander wished it would crash among their brethren again. The look of dismay in the artillerymen's eyes had been hilarious.

But, as if to purposely disappoint him, the flaming ball crashed into the top of the gatehouse—a perfect hit. The casks of oil inside shattered, spewing flames in all directions. Burning men tumbled from the walls, along with shards of wood and stone. The ram stopped pounding as the attackers took a few steps back, fearful of the burning debris landing amongst them.

He was growing bored, and impatient with this whole foray. The clopping of hooves behind him caused him to turn. Oroki came along side him. His brother's vacant eyes studied at the act of death before them, paying no heed, as is if he were watching insects.

“Crack this nut for me, will you brother?” Oroki said, his voice smooth as melting ice.

“Gods yes, Oroki,” Ivander said and slammed his knuckles together. “I've been waiting for-fucking-ever for you to give the word.”

***

Ivander knew the difference between the rabble that called themselves warriors and soldiers, and the real deal. It pained him to admit it, but Broly was a true warrior. The look of pure joy and amusement on his face was all the indication that Ivander needed. He was in the warrior's element, just as Ivander had been his whole life. Nothing compared to the sensation, not a woman's touch, not a bottle of the finest wine, nor a great feast. Once the blood-lust had been invoked, a man was incomplete without death.

”Should you give me reason, boy, I’ll tell you my name. Until then, know me as naught but destruction itself!”

Ivander harrumphed. “I know your name, Broly,” he spat the word, as if it were the worst of curses. “You think highly of yourself. That's good. That will make it all the sweeter when I tear your still beating heart from your chest.”

”You...You think I would surrender to a force so pathetic?!” Broly said, referring to the poison cloud.

“Of course not. No, I will enjoy watching your deteriorate slowly, like a grape left out in the sun too long. Suffer well, you piece of shit,” Ivander said.

Most men would call his act dishonorable, and weak. But, he knew no such terms. War was death, and he did all that it took to kill his enemy. There was no tactic in his arsenal that he did not employ. The poison had been a special concoction that the sorcerer Grick had cooked up for him. He had been wanting to use it, and who better to use it on but a warrior who thought himself invulnerable.

Ivander could he felt that, by the way Broly took his last blow with clear disregard. Sure, there had been pain, no doubt of that, but he chose to ignore it, as if that somehow made him stronger. No, Ivander had learned long ago that ignoring pain only proved that a man feared facing it. He had embraced pain, delved in it, let himself use his suffering to build his motivation for the next attack. That was how a true warrior fought.

The gap closed fast and Broly unleashed a rapid burst of punches at his upper body. It was a simple tactic. They were not powerful strikes, but their numbers could add up and cause more pain than a single well paced strike. Also, they served to harry him, and dissolve his guard in preparation for a greater strike.

He wouldn't let that happen. The punches peppered his face and upper chest, leaving red welts. Broly was strong, the punches hurt a great deal, but Ivander smiled through them, despite the pulsating pain that coursed over him. Now that Broly was within close range, Ivander had but two options, roll out or go forward. Another punch was coming, this one much heavier and far more damaging.

”Don’t worry, boy. You’ll see your apprentice again soon enough.”

Ivander moved into Broly, the punch grazing the side of his shoulder and his cheek. Being so close, he needed to do only one thing, and that was bring his elbow up at a hard angle. The elbow was one of the most dangerous weapons in the human body, more so than the fist. It was like a mace, blunt and hard. However, with the spine sticking out, his was in fact much closer to a morning star While he didn't get all the force he could have, had be been further away, he hoped the speed of the jerking motion was enough to at least daze his opponent.

Dropping low, he sprang forward, his momentum accelerated by an explosion of crimson ki that enveloped his body. He attempted to wrap his arms around the thick tree trunk like torso of Broly, and ram him through the tattered remnants of the shuttle before releasing him. With the speed and force he was employing, it would be enough to send the warrior skipping across the country side like a stone across a pond.

Gliding down, he landed on the rooftop of a farm house and found set back into his fighting stance, making a motion for Broly to come at him again.

“This time try something not so elementary. Surely, a monster like you learned how to fight?”

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Broly 7/12/2012, 5:23 am

He felt his head jerk backwards as a blunt pain made itself known, spreading across his face alongside a thick and coppery mixture that flew free of his nose. He could feel it leaking down his face, the stinging pain of Ivander’s elbow still resonating within his body. It had been a long time since he’d felt a pain so complete, since he’d encountered a punch like that in one on one melee combat. His opponents were generally far weaker than himself, with power that was comparative to a child’s when placed next to his own.

The elbow receded and Broly was forced to calm himself, struggling to pull his body under control as his arms seemed to go limp. For the briefest moment, he let his eyes close, blocking out the bright twilit sky above and the shadows cast by the clouds. Were he a warrior of less resolve, he’d have been content to let his body fall backwards through the sky and collide with the ground, he’d have been content to let Ivander drive him backwards.

After what seemed like an eternity of drifting silently through the air, Ivander’s arms closed around his waist. This forced the warrior’s eyes open, forced his fists to clench as his opponent pushed forward in an attempt to drive him backwards. Briefly, his head snapped to the side, checking over his shoulder to ascertain his distance from the shuttle; without a doubt, Ivander was aiming him toward the already torn and tattered metal. Was he attempting to encase him in some type of aluminum tomb?

Snarling, the warrior placed both hands on Ivander’s back as their entangled bodies sped toward the shuttle. He would not let this fucker ride him like some type of horse, he would not allow this bastard the satisfaction of crushing him with such ease. He would not allow someone weaker than him to drive him into submission, regardless of what that poison was trying to tell him; it wasn’t in his nature, it wasn’t his personality to be dominated. As the air flattened his hair against his head and ruffled his clothing, the Saiyan felt his energy burst out around him with renewed vigor.

His power was eternal, and he would let that show in the moments to come. As his back approached the shuttle, the Saiyan brought both fists up in a classic manuever; the axe handle. With Ivander’s back turned to his fists, he would have no chance to defend against the coming blow. Growling as his energy peaked, the Saiyan brought both fists down hard toward his opponent’s back, utilizing the momentum from his motion to wiggle free of the man’s cobra-like grip.

Blood dripped freely from his nostrils as he flipped forward over the other man’s body, his figure curling into a tight ball before extending so that his foot could touch the ground in front of the shuttle. With any luck, Ivander would have torn through the thing without him. After all, he didn’t appear to be the most agile of foes. He also didn’t appear to be the most intelligent, as evidenced by the fact that he seemed so ready to insult Broly, who was widely recognized as one of the most brutally effective warriors in existence.

Briefly assessing his damage, the Saiyan wiped the blood from his face and slowly brought his body upward from the ground. He had lost concern for Ian Lancaster and his henchman at this point, now intent on ending the impudence of the warrior who saw fit to attack him so boldly and with such an obvious disregard for his own personal safety. Corners of his mouth still bent downward, Broly kept both fists clenched tightly at his hips, floating forward through the air toward his opponent’s apparent landing point.

He could not yet assess the damage done to his foe’s back, though he had high doubts than an axe handle could go unnoticed. Then again, he hadn’t checked to make sure it connected in the struggle. It was very possible that the momentum alone had allowed him to escape his enemy’s grasp, though he doubted it. Ivander was also at a distance this time, smartly begging for Broly to come at him again with his body language and motion. Was he so foolish?

Floating back to the ground in front of his opponent’s chosen landing point, Broly glanced up toward Ivander, whose mouth was now opening to speak. Over the fire-like crackling of his own energy and the whistling of wind rushing by his ears, the Saiyan caught heed of the boy’s words. The first statement was bothersome enough; something about his tactical choices and intelligence, which was often the first thing underestimated about him.

Few seemed to realize that Brute Force was a tactic; most passed it off as him simply coming repeatedly at his opponent until they fell. However, they never seemed to realize how often it worked, how often he wore his opponent down with superior might and muscle, something that an opponent was rarely able to reciprocate. It was common predatory instinct; a strategy that he had perfected well. It took a warrior of unparallelled might to stop his assault, to cage the beast he harbored within him, a beast he was even more ready to set free upon hearing Ivander’s second statement.

The word monster was quickly followed by a loud, cacophonous boom, caused by the very ground beneath Broly’s feet exploding into a pillar of dirt and shredded grass coupled with rock. It sounded as though a bomb had gone off at his feet, surrounding him in a blaze of energy and filling the air with a shower of earth. His left eye was visibly shaken; the pupil was rotating and shaking as his brow struggled against what appeared to be itself, attempting to drive downward and furrow.

His fists were clenched tighter now, pure white from the force exerted; that was, aside from the blood which appeared to leak between his knuckles. This child thought he had the right to call Broly a monster? While this was a common phenomenon, this was precisely the reason Broly had decided to cleanse the universe of such scourge and scum. He could feel the rage inside of him rising and growing, his body struggling against it’s limits.

The small crater he had formed with his original outburst now expanded as he threw both fists to the side in the air around him, his head was thrown backward as his chest burst forward. Emerald strips of light exploded from several portions of his body as his voice suddenly rose over the sound of booming thunder and the ground cracking as he forced it under his will. Why did such scum think him a monster? Was it because they could not understand his power? Was it because they failed to comprehend his might? Slowly, it dawned on him. This Ivander; he had originally compared him to himself in terms of power, thought better of his might than the others. However, he knew now that such thinking was a mistake.

Ivander was weak. Ivander was afraid; he was scared of the power Broly owned and utilized. His screaming slowly subsiding, the warrior bent forward, his head lolling over his chest as his tongue rolled out. If that was how it was; if that was the level of understanding offered to him by those with power, he would show them his own philosophy, he would make them get it. He would force them to understand him. He would force them to show him compassion, to show him understanding for once.

Breathing deeply, the Saiyan looked up to his opponent with eyes full of rage. He had originally held the sneaking suspicion that, perhaps, Ivander would be able to understand the burdens that came with power. He had hoped, perhaps, that maybe Ivander would offer him a battle between two men of equal clout. This revelation that he was facing someone of such limited mental capacity; it somehow hurt.

”You think me the monster? You think me the one incapable of...!?”, with the sudden pause came another loud scream, followed by a booming cackle.

”I’ll show you, Ivander; I’ll show all of the insects what I am capable of, I’ll show them how a monster gets what he wants! I’ll show you!”

With no other words, Broly’s body burst forward toward Ivander, fist cocked and ready for combat.

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Izon 7/12/2012, 10:25 am

Seeing the two power houses fight made Ian smile. He was enjoying this fight and he knew right now they were simply getting to know one another. A way of saying "hello" to one another. Such a savage way, but it pleased the masses. The masses of course being Ian and Iric right now who stood outside watching the fight.

Ian was thankful he had left the shuttle as it was virtually a crushed can of soda at this point. He'd have to use his limo or fly himself for right now, but that wouldn't be an issue. He much preferred his limo. It was more relaxing. He could think about his plans and work them out in his head during his travels. Though it also wouldn't be long before his shuttle would be replaced. Though he liked the relaxation, he was also a man of action. He hated waiting when he knew what he needed to do. It was a conundrum.

He saw the two face one another, blow after blow hitting brick walls that didn't budge. Then he knew the greetings were over. The one called Ivander had insulted Broly by simply calling him a monster. This was true. Broly was a mindless beast that only sought power and didn't understand the subtleties of obtaining such power. The one would be an ultimate warrior if he knew the power of speech and manipulation. This beast would be a true god among mortals. But as it stands, he was simply a beast and Ivander was no better. In the end, this is what made Izon, once a man, now a demon lord, more powerful than them. He knew how to get what he wanted.

And right now, he was getting it. These two would fight until the other was dead. If it was Broly, then he definitely had the upper hand to negotiate for power. If it was Ivander, he'd be too weak to fight against him and he could kill him and continue on to Capsule Corp to take it over.

It really didn't take a genius to realize what Broly needed his help with was obtaining power. How, was the question. And what power was something Ian would soon find out.

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Game Master 7/16/2012, 7:41 pm

Emerald fire danced in Ivander's dark brown eyes as he watched Broly's spiritual energy gush forth. It was as if he was a maelstrom of pure hatred, that kept feeding itself and growing. He rubbed the back of his neck, grimacing past the buzzing pain linger there. Broly's hammer blow had been a well placed tactical maneuver. It had saved the big warrior from suffering a terrible fate.

Heavy winds that buffeted him, rustling his short black hair. If not for the display of rage in front of him, Ivander would have thought to breeze to feel good in the heat of the midday.

Broly's set a disdainful gaze upon him. It was to the point that his expressions seemed nearly melodramatic to Ivander. Yes, Ivander had attacked Broly, but it was strange how fast Broly had come to hate him. He knew people talked of love at first sight. Perhaps there was such thing as hate at first sight?

He doesn't know me but a few minutes. I see now. That's the source of his power. That is what he draws upon, that is what fuels him.

While Ivander was aggressive, he couldn't say that he was similar in that regard. No, he simply didn't have enough hate to match Broly's. However, he was enthralled by battle. The destruction of other men, domination, those were the things he thirsted for. If he could bring down a bull as wild and as powerful as this one, he would have nothing to fear.

”You think me the monster? You think me the one incapable of?” Broly said before letting out a scream. ”I’ll show you, Ivander; I’ll show all of the insects what I am capable of, I’ll show them how a monster gets what he wants! I’ll show you!”

Ivander's harrumphed. “Show me then! I came at you with all my might, yet you've been standing around. I did not come for a light show, I came for a battle.”

There was something strange about how Broly was acting—it was too passive compared to his emotional state. Ivander felt as if they shouldn't gawking at each other, but instead exchanging blows. It was curious. Why was he holding back?

Focusing his senses around him, he felft another spiritual presence, one quite powerful and surprisingly wretched in nature. He had encountered a similar energy before, from the demon Balzar. Glancing over, he glowered at the two others standing next to the wrecked shuttle.

“You!” he shouted, both of his eyes narrowing at the gentlemanly fellow who was giving off the larger spiritual signature. “Why are you still here? Planning on interfering with my battle, wretch?”

Now he was irritated, his own hatred beginning to creep in. This battle was was not turning out to be fair sport, not with the demon standing around, gawking at them. He was like a crow awaiting an easy meal. Yes, a crow was the perfect description.

Ivander glanced back at Broly, his eyes filled with malice. “The little crow thinks himself clever.”

He released his hold on his spiritual energy, letting his black aura flare up around him. The shadowy flames licked at the heavens. The winds that Broly's aura generated mixed with his own and he forced the air to rotate violently. Debris were pulled from the ground and flying into the center of the growing vortex. Clenching both of his fists, Ivander fed into it, intensifying the funnel cloud.

The air mixed with his black spiritual energy, deepening the color until it was that a churning mass of midnight. Bolts of brilliant red lightning crashed down all around the countryside, setting aflame to grass and tree. The sky blackened with clouds that began vomiting sheets of rain and hail.

He stood at the heart of the storm, offering more and more of his power with a maddened bout of laughter. Its size swelled until it broader than a city block and taller than the highest of mountains. The shuttle was plucked up and then sucked into the core, where the immense pressure crushed it. Moments later jagged ribbons of super-heated metal went flying across the battlefield.

It sound was immense, like a freight train slamming into the side of a mountain..

The churning mass shifted and began moving towards Izon and his sidekick, cutting a deep groove in the Earth's crust. Ivander knew the suction power of his Hyper Tornado was leagues beyond that of a normal one. The very earth itself was fed into it, the ground disintegrating for hundreds of yards in all directions. Trees and houses were pulled in, and shredded into a fine dust within moments. He knew soon enough even Broly would be devoured by it.

“You cannot run! Not any of you,” he shouted through the roaring winds, not even sure if his voice could be heard.

Finished with his assault, he released his hold on the power and the winds began to immediately calm. Shards of wood, metal, and rock rained down upon the earth. Desolation spread out for miles and miles. The earth itself was split asunder. The tornado had even pulled lava from beneath the surface. It was already starting to cool, black smoke clogged the air, searing his lungs as he breathed it in.

Eventually, the dust would settle, but Ivander wasn't about to allow that to happen. In a swift blur of motion, he flew after Broly. A heartbeat later, he appeared out of the cloud like some sort of wicked specter. He was below Broly, but in prime position for attack. With a burst of energy, he hurled himself upward in a rising knee, attempting to plant it right into Broly's soft solar plexus.

After the knee strike, he followed up with a barrage of quick punches aimed at Broly's throat and lower jaw. They were harrying blows, but he knew if enough landed they could cause serious damage.

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Broly 7/18/2012, 12:28 pm

Broly’s body jerked to a halt as Ivander’s aura began to churn and swirl around them; while normally he would have continued to charge forward into battle, something in his gut was paralyzing him. The ground itself was splitting from an invisibly applied force, lifting and soaring past him to spin around some kind of centrifugal force acting as a vortex. From the outside, it appeared to be some type of storm; a tornado, a natural disaster. He already knew what this battlefield would be labeled; what the bodies littering the ground would be considered victims of.

Narrowing his eyes, the Saiyan let his aura whip and dance in the rising winds. Metal was flying everywhere, the remains of the shuttle flying through the air alongside wood from the barn and some plastic-y material from nearby silos; Ivander’s energy was drawing everything to it in a maelstrom of heated winds. This was something Broly had never seen before, something he found personally displeasing. Even his energy did not create such an outrageous reaction from nature.

All noise was drowned out by the wailing and screaming of this tornado, which threatened to consume them all in it’s wake. He cast a furtive glance toward the demon’s last known position; in this storm he could not sense his energy. That didn’t necessarily mean he was dead, it merely meant that he was obscured by this vastly powerful signature, this all encompassing force. It sickened him; it sickened him that something so weak could create a reaction so massive. He could hear the Earth shattering as if quaking, he could feel the pull, drawing him closer to the storm.

Growling, he cast his right hand to his side, revealing pearly white canines to Ivander, though he doubted the man could see him now. Immediately, the emerald light from his aura began to spin and gather in his palm, rotating and churning counter to the ever present current that his opponent’s power seemed to impose upon him. Had this battle happened on the beach head, had this battle taken place that long ago; Broly would have been fucked. Unfortunately for Ivander, he had come a long way from that beach head encounter.

Broly’s aura began running counter to the tornado before him, forcing his body to maintain a constant position as Ivander tore away at the Earth and sky above, bringing clouds in toward him and sending rubble everywhere. A messy situation without doubt; that was not something in dispute. However, as Broly’s own energy rose and spiked, the Saiyan turned his eyes to the center of the maelstrom, the storm itself now battering his body with high pressure winds. Had it not been for his own counter current, it was likely that it would have seriously injured him if not killed him.

”Run?! You insult me!”, everyone always insulted him. They thought him dimwitted, they thought him weak, they thought him too strong. They thought him pathetic, they thought him unable to fend for himself, they thought him easy to consume; he would show them, as he had promised. He would show this pup who the top dog was, he would show him the might of his resolve. He would show him the strength that had allowed him to endure years of mistrust and pain, years of torture and fear.

He was no longer afraid of consequence or pain. He was no longer scared of his power, he was no longer fearful of others. While the energy in his hand grew to encompass his fingers and wrist, the warrior found his teeth grinding together. Sparks of electricity traveled the length of his arm, dancing and vanishing in elaborate sequence while his own ki warred with Ivander’s. He didn’t know how long this was going to work, while the man’s maelstrom endured; he was going to have to launch his attack quickly.

His arm slung forward, whipping in from the side to release a wind-splitting blast that seemed far too small to be of true use. However, despite it’s appearance, it was one of his most impressive attacks. He watched as the blast tore through the wind that Ivander’s cyclone had conjured, dashing it’s way toward the man himself whilst forging it’s own path away from Broly. As it neared the man himself, it detonated in a blaze of emerald light and power, forcing the Saiyan to shield his eyes as he floated backward through the air.

Ivander was now covered by a shroud of dust and quickly vanishing ki. However, Broly doubted the man would stay in there for very long. Despite Broly’s Blaster Shell cutting through he winds, Ivander’s technique had still managed to cut into his forearms and pectorals. It was only mild, bothersome pain, but it was still pain nonetheless. He was still feeling the sting as Ivander’s body came flying from the smoke cloud below him, tendrils of the whispy substance trailing after him as he flew through the air.

Grimacing as the man came toward him, he struggled to cross his arms in time to stop the incoming assault; he also struggled to ignore the pain when Ivander’s knee slammed hard into his solar plexus. All of the breath was exhaled from his lungs as the man’s bone met his own, forcing his body backwards through the air. Broly felt the spittle fly from his mouth as his hair whipped at his face, the air resistance forcing it to fit his skull. He had to admit; Ivander was physically powerful. Very physically powerful; but, he was inept in the art of ki. At least, comparatively.

However, Broly was not going to exploit this. He would rather crush him at his best, as opposed to his worst.

Ivander’s fists came in toward his face as Broly was steeling himself once more. He was short on breath and at a dramatic disadvantage; how would he retaliate? The only way he knew how; with full force and the vigor of a man possessed. He was not the kind to simply roll over to a powerful opponent, especially one who was giving him this much enjoyment; especially not to one who was sending adrenaline through his veins every few seconds like some kind of drug. This was an addiction he was not yet ready to kick, not yet bored of. He would take full advantage of that.

As Ivander’s fists shot forward, Broly’s mind went into overdrive. His head slid to the right in order to evade the first strike toward his throat, though the punch itself still slid over the skin; the second blow was evaded with a little more effort, this time forcing him to tumble completely horizontal to evade the blow. As the air itself seemed to tear from the gathering force of Ivander’s third blow, the Saiyan brought his knee in from the side (Ivander’s left) and flew forward through the air toward Ivander’s right, hoping to slam his bone into the other warrior’s rib cage. Broly was, as it happened, a fair amount faster than his foe; and though his reflexes were slowed from the damage he had sustained, he wasn’t yet beginning to feel the ominous tendrils of fatigue gripping his lungs.

"As if I'd flee from a purpose so weak!"

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Izon 7/20/2012, 2:31 pm

“You!” The new creature looked at Ian. “Why are you still here? Planning on interfering with my battle, wretch?”

Ian shrugged. The man was smart. He had Ian figured out, not that he would say anything. Ian in a sense though was much like a Carrion bird. Scavenger. But he knew he couldn’t attack either of these guys head on. She didn’t teach him to be an idiot, nor was he raised up to be an idiot. It was like when he was in hell, servant of the succubus. He waited until the two demons were locked and nearly dead before he acted.

“You interrupted our talks. I was simply curious as to what Broly would need with one such as I. I have no desire to get between the two of you.”

He wasn’t even sure if his words got through as the wind began to pick up. Ian looked up at the sky as clouds began to form and funnel downward. The man was forming a tornado with his own energy. Ian would have been impressed if it wasn’t for the fact he saw the rest of his shuttle get annihilated by the increased winds.

Grass, dirt, rocks, wood. They were all sucked up into the tornado as it grew. Ian could even feel himself get tugged at towards the brutal attack. He ducked under a large chunk of metal from his shuttle as it was flung towards the city several miles behind him. He looked at Iric who seemed to be having a few issues of his own. Ian knew he couldn’t sustain this himself, he was too weak.

Stepping in front of the demon-saiyan servant, Ian’s aura exploded around him, covering Iric as well as the tornado moved towards them. In the heart of the twister was a storm of energy that was raging, and he had just the thing for it.

It wasn’t long before debris was flying around him. Large chunks already high into the air which would fall after the storm ended, or never, depending on how high they went. He had to lean back as a fence post nearly impaled him. Then came the core of the attack. The torrent of energy that surrounded the man-beast within. The energy struck the aura and instantly Ian could begin to feel the energy course through him.

The jewel embedded in his shoulder acted as a conduit for energy. It gathered what it could from the energy being used against him and made Ian stronger while at the same time protecting him. Even the winds themselves seemed to begin to die down until it left him to go after Broly.

Iric wasn’t sure what had happened but Ian’s aura had saved his life. Had he been hit, it would have possibly killed him. The energy the two were displaying was intense. Had he made a mistake joining up with Izon? He was going to die if he remained any longer, though he would be dead now if it wasn’t for Izon. He had given him power of a demon. He was no longer a Saiyan, but that was fine. Iric was never much of a Saiyan. He had acted like one, but failed when it mattered most. He died weak, though he knew Izon would be the path to strength and he knew regardless of how much Izon didn’t care, Iric was better off with him than most. Broly would be a great path to power, but sooner or later the Saiyan would turn on him.

No, Izon was the type to need servants. He would be safe with him.

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Goku 7/23/2012, 11:19 pm

Through the churning black winds a ray of emerald light shone. Despite the awkward beauty of the scene, he knew the small sphere headed his way brought a message of doom. The winds jarred it as it made its path, jerking it left and right. It was like a whacky baseball pitch, its true trajectory not easily estimated.

Still wrangling with the immense energies, there was little Ivander could do but let out a chuckle. The other warrior, the gentlemanly fellow, had begun to devour the energy he had been letting out. With his own body being the epicenter of the mass, he was being pulled towards Izon, as if he had a tow chain attached. Practically immobilized, he could only steel himself for the upcoming explosion.

The Blaster Shell detonated with a blinding flash. The tornado dispersed almost instantly with the flash. Ivander could blazing shards of pain wracking his whole being. Broken ribs brought lanced him with each breath he took. Burnt patches of flesh felt buzzed with an indescribable paint that would have made an ordinary man screech like small child.

But, the sensation ceased to bother him when his knee met Broly's solar plexus and he heard the air escape his lungs with a hiss. The subsequent volley of punches went unanswered, as Broly evaded, only to replied to by a sickening crunch as Broly's knee collided with his shattered ribcage. Like little spears, the broken ribs punctured his internal organs, causing blood erupt from his mouth like a volcano. It most likely splattered all over Broly and for sure soaked most of Ivander's bare chest.

"As if I'd flee from a purpose so weak!" Broly said.

“Correct. You are like a moth to flame,” Ivander said through teeth slick with red and black. “I knew you weren't smart enough to run.”

Broly was still close, too close for a kick or to properly wind up a heavy punch. Instead Ivader reached out, attempting to wrap his hands around Broly's thick neck. Using a pulse of ki, he launched his body up, his knee headed straight for Broly's chin.

Twisting his body sideways, he brought his palms together and then lurched forward aiming a double palm strike towards at center of his opponent's chest. There was more than enough force behind the blow. It used the same principles as drawing back a bow string, the winding and swooping motions lent towards the momentum. The goal of the strike was to send Broly plummeting towards the Earth below.

Ivander wasn't going to take any chances. Besides, he wanted to break Broly and feel bones crunch beneath his fists and witness the life's blood spill from his mortal coil.

With a warrior's roar, he sped towards Broly, feet first, as if he were in some sort of pencil dive. Within range, he attempted a bicycle kick aimed at his head. Well, it was more like four blazing fast kicks all concentrated into the one small area.

Die.

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Broly 7/30/2012, 8:53 pm

Sour copper filled the warrior's mouth as Ivander's knee met his jaw, he felt his eyes unfocus, saw the sky flash before his eyes for the briefest of moments as he recoiled from the powerful blow. He could no longer shrug off the pain of Ivander's strikes, that much was for sure. While he wasn't tired, he was still being beaten into submission by an opponent whose strength came close to matching his own insane power. Grunting with the force of the blow, the Saiyan felt his body float through the air while he struggled to regain focus on the situation at hand.

He could see the sky dancing above him as blood flew from between his lips, splattering against the inside of his teeth and releasing a thin spray into the air. His breath had gone with the spray, forcing him to take in as much oxygen as he could while turning his eyes to Ivander once more. As it so happened, he wouldn't be looking at him for very long. His opponent's palms were flying toward his chest at a game-setting pace, forcing Broly to react or risk losing the air in his lungs a second time.

Teeth clenching, he attempted to bring his arm in toward his chest to block the blow; both fortunately and unfortunately, his forearm caught one of Ivander's palms. Gasping as the pain spread through his bone and shot up his shoulder blade, the Saiyan drew in as much breath as possible before his opponent's palm slammed into the right side of his chest, pushing him backward through the air at a speed higher than he had anticipated.

Just like that, his guard had been shattered; just like that, he felt the crack growing beneath his skin. He didn't know how the bastard had suddenly shot back like that; most people were already preparing to crumble from the force of Broly's blows. It was obvious to him, as his body tore through the air toward the Earth below, that Ivander was made of tougher stuff than most humans were. Shit, he was starting to doubt that the man was purely human. Most creatures with this level of strength were Saiyan in origin.

The Warrior's eyes came into focus once more as he neared the woodland, his body quickly moving forward so that he could soften his landing. He knew that if he slammed through this place unprepared that he would be facing a lot more damage than if he had at least readied himself for it. It would not be prudent to take more damage than necessary in this puny woodland, only to have Ivander bearing down upon him for a follow up attack.

Oh, he knew the man would try to do him in with a follow up. It would be foolish of him not to; weak, like his purpose and his intent. Ivander was striking to kill, to maim; that was weak in and of itself. Broly was striking each blow merely to cause pain, to show this man the error of his ways and why they were so weak. He was striking to illustrate the difference between them, he was striking to fucking cripple this man.

Broly's feet hit the ground first, quickly trailing backwards until his fingertips touched down as if he were preparing to jump from a line. He could hear each twig snap and each low-hanging branch break as his body shot through the dirt, sending tides of the substance flying on each side of his body, which would only grind to a halt after sliding for what seemed like forever. Blood was falling freely from between his lips, from the gums and there were numerous lacerations dotting his back.

His breath was now coming in ragged gasps, in a way that Ivander would probably deem fitting. He looked like the monster everyone thought he was; blood seeping from an almost overwhelming number of wounds, his breathing dangerously labored. Ivander was obviously coming in for a killing blow, judging by the way he was pencil diving toward him. Gritting his teeth together as he struggled to hold himself, Broly felt his consciousness briefly fade.

Suddenly, he was back in space, his head resting on a rocky pillow in some star system far away. He did not recognize the stars above him, nor did he find the double crescents slowly moving across the scy reassuring. This was some place he hadn't been in a long time, but a place that felt more foreboding than his current reality; a place where he knew he would never be safe, somewhere strange and somewhere new.

A shadowy figure approached on the horizon that was his peripheral vision, weapon in hand. Broly thought nothing of it. He was too young to know, too naïve yet to realize what was going on. This figure was coming to end his life while he was relaxed, his pending assassination attempt thinly veiled by the haphazard stride and smile that seemed to linger across his features. If he was so glad, why was he so...So scared?

Was that the scent Broly picked up from this man? Fear? He had heard from his father that certain animals were capable of detecting fear in others, detecting the residual worry as if it were some kind of heavy stench. It was radiating off of this man as if it were his cologne, some kind of scent to impress another. But, why did this feel so foreboding? So dangerous to him? Biting his lip, the boy sat up, his eyes playing across the ground until they came to rest upon this figure, shining not from the starlight above, but from the worry now playing across his own features.

”Broly; w-what're you doing asleep?”

Wait; something felt wrong. This was not the way things were supposed to go; he was supposed to be chided for being awake, scolded for not sleeping at such an hour. Why was he being punished for the opposite? Brow furrowing in worry as the figure approached with a worrisome hesitance, Broly cast his eyes back to the sky. Something told him he had to look away, look back to the present and turn his attention back to the matter at hand.

Ivander was almost upon him now, and it was only now that he seemed to realize what was happening. He had lost consciousness for a moment, his personality had faded to black; his entire hand was now pressed upon the dirt trail that his feet had forged in their slide mere moments ago. His arm was oddly numb, excluding the ever-present sting in his muscles. He would have to find someone to procure him an antidote to whatever the hell it was that was plaguing him.

Ivander's feet soared over his head as he rolled forward through the dirt, forcing the substance into his wounds. He could feel the poison spreading through his body clearly now, effecting his decision making and timing. Had he been even a milisecond more off, he'd have failed to dodge. The man's feet had went over his hair by the smallest of increments, forcing a mixture of blood and dirt into the warrior's raven mane.

He rolled to a stop several feet away, his feet kicking off into the sky and his body fading from view for the briefest moment as he accelerated. Though his body ached and pained him, he found himself dashing backwards through the woodland toward the area that the shuttle had previously inhabited. He was skipping over the ground, not in retreat, but in repositioning. His feet were dancing over the grass, his eyes locked onto the location where Ivander had last been seen. The man was likely to hound him until his dying breath if he didn't end this shit soon.

He would need to be at peak condition to finish this fucker off.

Snarling as he came to a stop beside the demon and his cohort, Broly slowly let his hands drop to his knees. He needed to take a breath, to restabilize his body from the damage he had sustained in his battle. Yes; this was his battle. Regardless of the presence of the demon Lancaster, he was the only one who could hope to stop a warrior like Ivander. Then again, he was under the impression that Lancaster was only waiting here to finish off the victor, so that his path would lay unobstructed.

The energy that had once surrounded his body was now hugging him tightly, rising off of him like some form of steam. He could feel it everywhere, seeping into his wounds and cleaning them as he prepared himself for the second coming of his own personal hell-hound. He may have not known the truth behind Lancaster's lingering, or the extent of his own strength, but he knew one thing for damn sure. He would not be reconvening with his predecessor in hell. He was the strongest fucking thing in existence, he was the Warrior of Saiyan Legend. He was Broly.

He was mighty.

”Demon, if you linger here for much longer, one of us is going to switch targets.”, he snarled toward the man whose side he now stood at, before turning his attention back to Ivander, his back slowly straightening as the energy sealed his wounds, his breathing slowly leveling out. Now, he stepped forward, his fists clenching and his teeth grinding together as he released a guttoral growl in his opponent's general direction. He had the suspicion that he would not have peace for long.

”You call me too stupid to run? I would not dare run from victory, boy. I had figured you the type to understand that, if nothing else. What do you pursue me for, Ivander? Do you chase me of your own volition, or do you follow another's will? Are you so weak that you can't decide for yourself?”

Through the veil of an insult, the Saiyan probed his opponent's mind. He was hoping to at the least, discover who had sent Ivander after him. Was it the Master once more, or was this of his own will?

”We're not so different, you and I, despite our heritage. We were both spawned from mortals, to do the work of a force more powerful than ourselves. I come in the name of change, and you come in the name of...”, he paused and let a smirk creep over his features.

”Whatever the hell you come in the name of.”

He didn't know what it was that had caused the sudden shift in personality; perhaps the sudden reawakening of his consciousness? Perhaps the sudden flash of memory from his childhood, from when he was acting under the guise of another's guidance?

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Izon 8/1/2012, 10:04 am

The battle that took place before him was growing more and more intense though Broly was beginning to slip. Slowly he could see his frustration grow. This was a battle of who could pound the other’s face in. This was not a battle of tactics and strategy. Both went at one another like rabid dogs, seeking to tear one another’s throat out.

Ian reveled in the energy the newcomer had given him. He could feel it coursing through his body as if it followed a network of veins. The jewel embedded in his shoulder was proving useful but he had yet to reveal its more useful property. The demons were vicious and at times seemed to be moronic. Their own greed and desires getting in the way of any intelligence they might have had.

Ian was greedy himself, but he knew when too far was too far. He knew when to stand back and think things through. If the demon lords would do that, then they would be the most dangerous being in the universe. Same thing with Broly. If he didn’t have a pea brain, and used intelligence in battle, with his power, Ian would bow to him. But luckily, he didn’t possess that. Guess the gods wanted to be fair.

Broly landed next to him, his figure towering over Ian. His breathing was ragged and he bled. Things weren’t going the way he boasted at all. Simply put, Broly was getting his ass kicked and though the negotiations were probably forgotten by the Saiyan, Ian knew that sub-consciously, that was frustrating him more. What he so desperately needed Ian’s help on was dissipating.

“Demon, if you linger here much longer, one of us is going to switch targets.” Broly was definitely in no mood and he doubted he would be after Ian. He may have forgotten he needed him, but with the other still alive, his focus was on him. Both hunters trying to one up the other.

Broly spoke more, calling out to the other. Conversing about running away or something like that. Neither would run, both had too much to prove it seemed. A test of testosterone. Ian only smiles as he and Iric stepped away, insistent he not get caught up in whatever attack the other had coming at Broly.

“Remember our negotiations Broly. Don’t die when you are so close to achieving what you so desperately want.” Ian and Iric took off, only to stop. “And be smarter about this fight. Two forces of equal mass and power striking one another the way you two are going after one another will only end up canceling you both out. If you want to live, think outside the box. And if you happen to survive, I’ll be watching from the house over there.”

Ian pointed at the farmhouse that was out of reach of the tornado. It was a bit far but he would be able to see the fight and see any attacks coming his way. “Good luck.” They both flew and it only took a second or two to reach the roof where they both touched down. Ian sat but Iric preferred to stand. Both continued to watch the battle ensue.

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Game Master 8/1/2012, 12:34 pm

What do you pursue me for, Ivander? Do you chase me of your own volition, or do you follow another's will? Are you so weak that you can't decide for yourself?

“My brother forbid me from attacking you. That is why I have come after you. No one controls me, not even Master, who has lent me his strength. It is my destiny to tear apart those who claim to wield true power; like you, Broly. Oh how you must struggle, knowing that in the end, you are but a grain of sand in this universe. It's enough to drive a man to madness.”

A bolt of bright gold lightning zigzagged through the space between the warriors, crashing into the shattered lava filled crater below. The Earth groaned in pain, as the powers of the two were enough to shatter such a small and insignificant rock.

Ivander watched Broly heal his wounds, awaiting for the moment they were done. His chest rose and fell with each breath, edged by an jagged rasping sound as the air existed his cracked lips. The internal damage was excruciating, but he reveled in it. Fatigue was setting in, but he still had so much more to give.

Broly's restoration didn't matter to him. He would simply have to inflict greater wounds this time around, to make up for lost ground.

“Yes, heal up Broly,” Ivander said. His crimson eyes bored into opponent—unblinking. “Sooth your scratches, for the real pain is about to begin.”

Ivander clenched his fists and lowered them to his side, he craned his head back, gazing upward at the swirling storm clouds that still lingered over the battlefield. As he gathered his spiritual energy, it began to seep out, flickering around him as wicked black flames.

He continued to pull the energy inward until the flames were nothing more than a buzzing black field around his form. The air quivered from sheer amounts of heat and pressure. Lightning bolts began to fall in greater numbers, as if the clouds themselves were launching a preemptive strike against the gathering might.

“I do not fear death.”

“What of life Ivander? Do you fear living?”

The Oracle’s words had haunted him since he was a young man. For, he had never given an answer to the question. No, he had tore out the Oracle's throat and watched her life's blood spill out upon the cobblestones.

He had never known what it meant to be alive, to live. His life had been nothing more than survival. There had always been odds stacked against him. The anxiety was endless; neveer enough food, never water, always outnumbered and out gunned on the battlefield. Since as far as he could remember, he had been making the hard decisions, never stopping, always fighting. Living, it was a luxury he could not afford. The only enjoyment he felt was when his fist shattered the bones of his enemy. That was being alive, the true definition of it.

Nature was a sadistic bitch. Animals were always eating each other, always struggling to live. That was how it was meant to be. Ivander had to prove himself the bigger fish and devour Broly, so that he could continue to grow.

In a flicker of motion, Ivander was gone. Sure, he was not as fast as Broly, but that didn't quite matter. The distance between them was short, and by hurling himself forward at uncanny speeds it made it even shorter. When he re-appeared he was but a foot or two away, his body aligned horizontally, as if he were a human javelin.

A javelin, yes, that was a good description for what he was attempting. It was simple really, he was going to use his extended fist to spear through Broly's midsection and come out the other side. Once that happened he would drive forward until Broly was two pieces instead of one. The Dragon Rush was brutal, yet efficient in its ability to utterly destroy an enemy.

“Die!”

After attempting to spear through Broly, he gathered spiritual energy into his hands. Crimson electricity unfurled from his body like wicked fingers stretching into the atmosphere. He charged the brute, reaching out and attempting to take hold of his body, or whatever was left of his body.

It seemed much like a simple grapple move, but it was so much more. Upon impact, he would unleash a vicious torrent of electrical ki. It would course through Broly, wracking him from the inside out. The goal was simple, he was aiming to finish Broly, and send his damned soul to the pits of hell where it belonged.

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Broly 8/4/2012, 10:09 pm

As Ivander landed, Broly's energy began to course through his veins. He'd been going through this entire battle in full blast, throwing his entire being into every blow, powering himself through in the ways he usually managed to. Most people called that foolhardy, some called it downright stupid; but Broly was not so foolish. He knew that the only way to trump a power like Ivander's was to show him exactly who was top dog.

Ivander fancied himself powerful, after all. Broly would show him the error of his ways, the mistake in his logic. Sure, the bastard could take a beating with joy; but Broly could deal pain like no other man in existence. Even Ivander's strength paled in comparison to the might that the Saiyan was capable of wielding. He would soon fold, just as the others had; he would fall as surely as the Crane, as swiftly as Ralia.

With Ivander's final speech, itt had become apparent to him that the time for speaking was over. The next speech would be given by the victor, a man who would surely be beaten stupid by the wondrous power that both warriors possessed. As it happened, Broly had no intention of dying there, on the field of battle. He had no intention of visiting the otherworld or investigating the claims that there was a Devil besides himself. He was not interested in taking a trip there against his will, and as so many had seen before this man who stood before him, his Will was final.

For a moment, Broly sized up his wounded opponent. Each breath was coming, slowly but surely; neither was yet ready to give into the will of the other. The Saiyan's eyes were tilted, not quite narrowed, but scrutinous. He was gathering data on the man before him, researching his state and his chances of survival. It would take more than a little push to bring this man down, more than he'd done so far, anyway. If anything, Ivander was at the least more powerful than anyone he had defeated so far.

But that would not change his fate; oh no, it would not protect him from the reaches of hell. That was where the loser would go, undoubtedly. Though Broly fought for a greater good, he was not exactly the most pure or perfect soul. Ivander, clearly, wasn't either. This was not shocking. He was guided by a Master, whom he had sacrificed his being for. He was immature, now, fighting to prove himself as his own ruler. He thought himself immune to the chains of destiny.

Ivander vanished from the spot, his body flying forward toward Broly with the same speed he had seen so many times before. He had seen it when the man's fist had impacted his jawline, when he'd come dashing toward him from the sky, like some kind of misguided falcon in flight. He had gotten used to the man's pace, and he knew that all was being given. Why would the man hold back for so long? Why would he risk his life, to misguide Broly?

The man's body came toward him over the freshly created crater with all the speed within it could muster, Ivander's hopes and dreams and burdens born on his broad shoulders. With his arrival into Broly's guard, two great weights would collide; the burden of freedom's struggle and the heavy pain associated with the pursuit of happiness. Broly knew that he didn't have the time to evade Ivander, at this range. He would not make the mistake of trying to swerve around him, nor would he try to fly upward.

His right arm curled in front of his torso, his left forearm sliding into the space between arm and chest until his wrist was snuggled tightly on the inside of his elbow. He curled forward as if in slow motion, bringing his cross-arm block over his midsection in preparation. This was going to be murder on his muscles, but it would truly test the might within his body. As Ivander's body closed the gap between them, energy flooded through the Saiyan's arms, surrounding the both of them.

Ivander's shoulder crashed into his block, forcing him to release a pain filled grunt from the center of his stomach. Spittle flew free of his mouth as his eyes widened, body being blasted backwards through the grass and the dirt, releasing a wave of both in it's wake. He struggled to keep his breath inside of his lungs as his head swam from the pain being forced through his body, the sensation of his bone cracking beneath the flesh. This was not a perfect block by any means, but it was certainly keeping him from being torn in half.

Both bodies flew backwards for several dozen meters, Broly standing hunched in defense as Ivander continued to drive through him. Broly's energy was slowly gathering around his body to retaliate; if Ivander didn't stop soon, he would have to throw himself out of the way somehow. It wasn't what he had wanted to do, but this man was easily capable of ripping powerful warriors in half. The look of shock and pain on Broly's face could explain that much; but still, he would not give up. He would not relinquish victory to such an undeserving foe.

Screaming with all of his might, Broly planted his feet deeper into the Earth, slowly grinding his opponent's push to a halt. The pain in his arms still very much present, Broly prepared himself for retaliation as Ivander's body straightened. Fortunately, he had slid a little further back than the human, giving him more time to observe the charge. This was where his superior speed came in handy, where his agility could truly come in to play.

The man's hand extended toward him to prepare some kind of grapple, though it would not connect. Broly brought his blocking arm downward, bringing it down upon the area where he imagined Ivander's wrist to be. Hopefully, he would deflect the blow so that it didn't reach him, and instead gripped the air just in front of his midsection, while leaving his fist at an open access point for Ivander's stomach.

Smirking wildly, Broly turned both eyes on to where he imagined Ivander's to be. If all went well, this would be his killing blow, his final strike. His fist accelerated forward, energy surrounding it as it came closer and closer. He had struggled hard for the chance to land this strike; he had struggled to isolate Ivander into one point at such close range. He had managed to avoid being broken in half, he had managed to prevent whatever grapple the bastard had been planning.

And now he would attempt to shove his fist through the fucker's abdomen.

”You first!”

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Izon 8/8/2012, 12:12 am

The world shook with each strike the two behemoths threw at one another. It was a spectacle one had to witness, only if they could keep up. The ground crumbled and tore apart as if it was being shredded by god himself.

Ian and Iric watched as the two brawled it out, blood flying through the air as each strike struck the other. Waves of energy rippled through the air as if trying to break the very fabric of reality. Both could feel the pressure of the waves making it harder to breath. A normal human would find it nearly impossible. To Ian, it felt like being next to speakers at a rock concert. Hard, but not impossible.

Iric had a bit harder time, he wasn’t even sure how much help he could be against ones such as these, but he swore he would defend Izon if it cost him his life. Him dying meant a release from his current existence. He was an abomination to the Saiyan race and to the demons. He belonged nowhere. He couldn’t transform like Ian and hide his demon self, nor was he a full demon. He was a nobody. A worthy piece of shit that can only die for the one who made him that way.

Ian wasn’t sure about his plan as he saw the two pummel one another. They were ruthless. Giant meaty hands striking the other’s flesh. This plan was taking awhile, but if he was patient he may be able to get revenge for his last death. And if not, he would at least be able to erase the one who dared to attack him earlier and erase someone from existence that could be a threat later. Then he would be on his merry way to taking over Capsule Corp. It was getting so close he could taste it. He could easily just leave now since neither considered him a threat, but if Broly survived, he would come after Ian for whatever he was after. Ian had to wait and remove his threats. He had to be patient.

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Game Master 8/8/2012, 4:12 pm

Ivander grimaced as the energy dissipated in his hands, jagged bolts of azure electricity streamed from his body into the darkened sky. Broly had deflected his grapple attempt and placed a strategic strike to his pressure point. It had caused a backlash, shattering the energy before it could be released.

The warrior was familiar with the ability himself. He was quite surprise to see Broly using it. Either he is a natural, or he has more skill than he lets on.

Before Ivander cold put more into that thought, the mother of all punches was headed his way. Broly had concentrated an immense amount of energy into his fist and was bringing it upon Ivander. Bottling that much energy into such a small space made for vicious attack. If Ivander blocked it like a normal punch, it would shatter his defense and plow straight through him.

The gap between them was far too small for any sort of evasive maneuver. Ivander was simply not fast enough. Trying to flee would only worsen his chance at survival. His mind worked with surgical precision as he examined the punch headed his way. Time was of the essence, but in battle it seemed as if everything slowed down to micro-seconds.

Sometimes moving with a blow helped to soften its impact. However, other times, moving into a blow was a much better strategy. It allowed more control over the defense. So, Ivander closed the small gap between Broly and himself, bringing his arms up as he did. He crossed them, forming an X in front of him. With a wild roar he thrust the X into the punch, aiming just below Broly's wrist.

The already decimated ground beneath them caved in further, breaking away from the pressure of two massive spiritual energies colliding. The air itself was displaced, creating sonic boom that resounded across the country side. The subsequent shock wave shredded the battered landscape for miles upon miles, wiping out whatever forest or structures that still stood after the wrath of the Hyper Tornado.

The pain seemed to travel slowly down the length of Ivander's arms. The bones in his fingers and wrists became spider-webbed with micro-fractures. Both of his shoulders absorbed the recoil, nearly popping out of their sockets. He hated himself for quivering beneath the blow and for the blood that trickled out of his nostrils. And he especially loathed his legs for giving out. Kneeling before his enemy bothered him beyond all reason. Both of his crimson eyes burned with fury. His blood red aura flared up around him as he clamored to his feet once again.

Although they throbbed, Ivander clenched both of his fists. He allowed himself a brief moment of respite. The truth was, he was seeing red—a tunnel of red which ended at Broly's face. Attacking with such blinding rage only would lead to his demise and he knew that. Sure, he couldn't disconnect himself from emotion, as Oroki did, but he knew enough to not react on primal urges. Drawing a deep breath, held it there for a moment before exhaling. As the air escaped his nostrils, he relaxed all his muscles. The tension flowed from him. As his mental clarity returned, he managed a smirked for Broly.

Both of his eyes took in the tattered landscape. “So, this is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object."

But, he brought me to my knees. Perhaps I'm not so immovable after all.

That single thought turned his smile upside down. This battle had been the most glorious of all his battles. It disappointed him, as he did not feel a being such as Broly was worthy of such an honor. Yet, somehow, more than once thus far, his attacks had threatened Ivander's life. Such threats had never been prevalent in his previous fights. Most men had simply crumpled beneath his wrath.

Ivander needed more power if he were to overcome Broly. The brute's strength had been steadily growing since the beginning of the fight. He could sense it, the subtle shift in the energy, the way his might seemed to swell with each passing moment. It had already surpassed his own.

It didn't make any sense to him. How was he born with such great strength? He barely understands what he is capable of. Yet here I am, required to beg, borrow, and steal for my power.

Master had seemed generous, offering great power in exchange for simple service. Balzar had relied on the strength he granted and that had cost him his life. Master had pulled his gift and left the demon vulnerable when he needed it the most. Ivander had felt it leave Balzar's body, as clear as day.

That could happen to me.

Ivander glanced down at his swollen hands. They were covered in wicked spines and black scales. He felt the sharpness of his teeth against his tongue. Just what the hell was he? Not a man anymore, that was for sure. No, he was a beast, who when commanded to rolled over for his Master.

The foreboding notion swam over him and he scoffed. He looked to the black clouds above. “This is not true strength. Brother, you have led me down the wrong path.”

The sky began to weep balls of ice. The hail clattered off of him, breaking into thousands of diamonds as it collided with his monstrous form. The red energy that had danced around his body faded. His muscles receded to their normal size. The spines and scales covering his flesh turned to ash, blowing away with the wind. The crimson light in his eyes faded and they resumed being gray, the same as the day he was born.

“I have traveled through time, ravished entire empires and planets. I have bent my knee to demons and sorcerers, all for this Master. What reward was I given? A power that is easily bested by the likes of you,” he said and chuckled sardonically. “I was told it was the ultimate power, that no being in existence could compare. Ha! To journey so far, for nothing. I will not listen to false promises anymore. No, I will rise and claim what is mine with these hands alone. The time time has come that I end what I helped start. The Organization is no more, Master will never so much as gaze upon our realm. ”

He pointed his finger at Broly. “Never trust a charlatan's promise of power. You have true strength.”

Ivander turned and flew off into storm ridden sky. If Broly chose to pursue him, he would fight, but with his own strength—not that of some monster.

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Broly 8/8/2012, 11:07 pm

Ivander's arms collided with his wrist with a massive explosion of sight and sound. The ground itself shattered and gave away to their combined strengths, two forces clashing for the title of strongest in the universe. He could feel the other man's determination, he could feel the sheer willpower that was holding up against Broly's strength. He could also hear the shattering of his bones in the eerie silence after the explosion, the creation of small borderline fractures and breaks, cracks and tears.

He had probably crippled his opponent. How fitting; that they would come to a conclusion in one final clash of will and strength, one final test of their might. It was almost beautiful that Broly would come out the victor in such a manner, as Ivander slowly fell to his knees for the briefest second, before struggling to his feet. As the man stood, Broly began feeling the pain from the man's defense all throughout his arm.

At first, it had been but a minor stinging; but now it was spreading down the length of his forearm, his muscles throbbing and aching with a pain he had never quite felt. He had never hit something so hard that it had hurt himself. He took a sharp intake of breath as Ivander glanced up at him, smirking, before turning back to the landscape around them. The devastation was like something out of a horror film; trees had been uprooted and shred into fine shards of wood, that littered the scorched Earth that had once been the forest.

The ground itself was covered in pockmarks and craters in which the two titans had cast their lot in battle, areas in which they had collided; the shuttle Lancaster had originally taken was now broken beyond recognition, the remains of it resting on the ground several dozen meters away. The destruction brought a smile to the warrior's face, as both fighters took it in. They had truly thrown themselves into this battle, with everything that they had. It had been a... a good fight.

”So this is what happens, when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object.”

Ivander spoke the truth; neither of them had given way, as of yet. Yes, Ivander was likely crippled from the force applied to his arms, but something about him still stood. It was not his physical body, though that had managed to regain standing position; no. It was his inner fire, the determination that had pulled him through the battle so far, and allowed him to go toe to toe with a warrior like Broly, whose strength was supposed to be infinite.

The man spoke again, this time mocking his brother; that was right, wasn't it? Oroki had been the boy's brother? The man they hailed as the god of death himself? How fitting, that he would be of such lineage. Power ran in their family, as it seemed. That was not altogether surprising. However, he had not yet seen the real shock.

Balls of ice began to rain down from the sky upon Ivander, dispersing the reddish energy that had so encompassed him before. Each ball slammed into the warrior's body with loud 'clangs' and 'bings', shattering into hundreds of little shards upon contact. Broly could feel his eyebrows raising, though he struggled to keep them in check. What exactly was going on? Was he undergoing some kind of second transformation? Was he preparing to finish off the Legendary Saiyan with more of Master's Might?

As the man's true body was revealed, Broly felt the difference. Ivander had grown stronger, yes-- but he had not grown stronger physically. He had freed himself from Master's grasp, as far as Broly could tell. He had relinquished the power gifted to him in exchange for servitude and obedience, in order to compete more honorably. Honor was a...foreign concept, to Broly. However, he could not let this gesture go unnoticed.

Ivander's speech reached numb ears, too heated from the battle and the blood rushing to his head to feel anything else. What was he talking about? Was he turning on his Master and his brother, the men who had given him the power from before? Broly's own energy slowly began to wane as Ivander's words took effect; for once, Broly was seeing something other than his own gain or the pain others had issued to him.

Suddenly, his finger rose to point at the Saiyan Warrior; issuing words of warning and advice. Normally, he'd have taken a warning as an insult, but this-- this couldn't have been an insult. It was more like some kind of offer, although he doubted the man would ever admit to such a thing. For though he had cast aside Master's Power, he had regained his pride.

The man turned, and so did Broly, whose energy remained at combat level for just a little while longer; he would issue warning to the demon, Lancaster, before flying off to follow Ivander into the stormy skies and the unknown. He had never been one to play follower, but something about the man's resolution... He could not leave it to struggle in the distance, alone against forces beyond his control. That was exactly what Broly had been doing all his life; and though he had gained much power from it... He would not condemn anyone else to his fate.

”Ivander,” he spoke the boy's name as he rose into the sky.

”I'll come with you, to end this Organization. However, first, I have one thing I must attend to.”, he cast his gaze to Lancaster and his crony.

”Demon, I don't need you anymore. Luckily for a man of your power, I'm in a...Generous, mood. If you leave the battlefield now, and forfeit to me, I shall let you live. If you decide to stay? Both your business chances and your life expectancy will decrease.”

His energy flared up around him now, as Ivander took off into the sky. If Broly had to wait a few moments, he could. Ivander was not exactly the fastest warrior in the universe, he could catch up to him if he had to spend a few moments destroying Lancaster, or convincing the bug to capture the Briefs. Oh yes; Broly knew that Lancaster was dealing with them. He had discovered the man's shuttle outside of Capsule Corporation; the man's luxurious, business class shuttle. Atop that, he was already prepared for negotiations.

Broly was not afraid to unleash the full power of his might upon the demon who had sought to manipulate him. He hadn't gotten the chance against Ivander, because he hadn't needed it...But he would most definitely use it to rid the world of Ian Lancaster a second time, if he had to.

NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball) Empty Re: NPC Battle: Ivander vs Broly vs Izon (One Star Dragonball)

Post by Izon 8/9/2012, 2:51 am

The battle had ended with Ian and Iric landing softly on the ground. The entire area was obliterated and he could barely see any signs his shuttle was ever there. Ian was kind of glad the battle ended, he was starting to grow bored with this testosterone competition. It was rather dull though he was kind’ve disappointed he wouldn’t be able to kill the victor himself. In the end it didn’t matter though. He had no real desire to be here. He was just trying to find out what a man of Broly’s power wanted with him. He never pushed those that could tear him apart. He simply let fate run its course. He was sure they’d meet again. After all Ryouji still had to die. He was a bit surprised the brat wasn’t there though. Maybe someone beat him to it.

Broly turned towards him after Ivander took off. “Demon, I don’t need you anymore. Luckily for a man of your power, I’m in a... Generous, mood. If you leave the battlefield now and forfeit to me, I shall let you live. If you decide to stay? Both your business chances and your life expectancy will decrease.”

Ian shrugged as if it mattered not what happened. Then he simply grinned at the large man before him. “Glad you’re finally using that brain of yours Broly. You may yet become the most feared man in the universe.” He looked out across the battle torn field over towards West City. “I’m sure we’ll meet again. I have a feeling our destinies are intertwined. In what way? Only fate knows.” He looked at the big man with a grin and a look that would dig deep into the soul of anyone. “Don’t think brute force saves you from anything. There is other power out there, beyond what you are capable of.” He floated into the air with Iric. “But I must go. I shall take your generous offer. I have a meeting to go to and since your fight with the other destroyed my shuttle, I must fly there myself. Not a big deal really, but a bit inconvenient. Till next time Broly.”

Ian shot off towards West City, while brushing off the dust and dirt that covered his clothing. He brought his cell phone up to his ear. “Cira, get me a change of cloths and meet me at Capsule Corp a sap. I’ve got a take over to complete.”
