Sairai read the flier a few times to make sure he got the right idea, and it seemed that he did. “So the famous Capsule Corporation is trying to develop combat androids. Those could prove most useful for the defense of Earth. Might as well help them out. Besides, I’m a little behind on my bills, and this could be just what I’ve been looking for to help pay it up until next year.”

Without a second thought, he flew off toward Central City, unsure of where the Capsule Corp building even was. He finally arrived only to be stopped by a guard. “Business or tour?” the guard asked casually, as if seeing a Changeling was the most common thing in the entire world. Sairai looked up at him with a half smile.

“Business,” he said, the smile never leaving his lips.

“What kind of business?” the guard asked, taking his duties a little too seriously.

“I read the flier about there being need for experienced fighters to take on the new combat androids that Capsule Corp has made. I’m here for that purpose.”

The guard pondered him for a moment, his eyes seeming to search the Changeling’s very soul before he said, “Very well. Proceed. Dr. Briefs will be down to see you momentarily. He’s always interested in getting fighters of higher levels to help test out the new equipment.”

“Thank you very much, sir,” the Changeling replied as he looked at the guard with a genuine smile on his face. The guard couldn’t help but smile back a little, before resuming his vigil guarding the door to the building.

Sairai looked at the impressive double doors in front of him. Bullet proof glass, if he had to guess. Perhaps it was even effective against ki blast, but he wasn’t really in the mood to test it out. The young man entered the building. He then saw a strange, red looking man standing and talking with a short, indigo haired scientist that he could only assume was Dr. Briefs. He walked up to the two and stood next to the larger of the two men, hoping to be included in on the conversation. After all, he had come to the Corporation in order to help, and he was going to need all the information he could get about the androids to properly test them.

Sairai followed the larger man with a bit of a frown on his face. He knew that he’d been noticed, but he hadn’t been spoken to at all. Whether the man was unconcerned with him or just had something else on his mind was just a mystery to him. As he thought about the trial to come, he considered his options with a bit of a smirk. The androids appeared to be quite powerful, but there was something not a lot of Earth people knew about him. As they finally arrived at the room where the androids were being kept, Sairai listened as Doctor Briefs told them about the fact that they were soon to be turned on.

Grasping the opportunity, the Changeling smiled to himself in an arrogant fashion. “Might as well switch into my work clothes, then,” he said, before allowing his Ki Control to slip. He shot up to his maximum power output as quickly as he could, concentrating the power into his muscles and bones. He could hear the muscles straining, tearing and regenerating, as his bone repeatedly broke, grew, and repeated until they were roughly four times their original size.

A scream erupted from his lips as he continued to increase in size, until finally his horns curved upward on his head and he nearly collapsed from the pain. With a half smile, he stood shakily before regaining his composure. “Alright, I’m ready,” he said, his voice suddenly deeper and more menacing than before.

The machines came to life at almost that exact moment. Great timing, the young man thought to himself as he rushed up to greet the first android to awaken, impaling it on his horn before reaching up with one hand and tossing it to the side like so much garbage, his horn tearing easily through the circuitry and metal that comprised a majority of the creature.

A light chuckle escaped his lips as he turned around and beheld the few that remained. These things are hardly a challenge at all. Perhaps I should have held back so they could get some actually useful information. Oh well, it’s a little too late for regrets at this point, and I’m about done with my half of the group anyway.

He lifted a single finger and pointed it at the group ahead of him, a wicked smile crossing his lips. “I’ll give them some data on how well they stand up to energy attacks now. Let’s see just how much damage these things can take before they fall apart like a broken toy…”

He allowed his chakras to open, sending his ki flaring out in all directions as he began to concentrate on the spot directly in front of his finger. A fine sheen of sweat covered his forehead as he continued to build his energy, until he could see a fine pinprick of blue light floating about a centimeter in front of his outstretched finger. He smiled sadistically as he released his race’s signature ability, the Death Beam, in quick succession, blasting through six of the androids before they could even move. The barrage of attacks seemed to outclass their programming, because the mechanical beasts weren’t able to so much as dodge.

“Well, that was easy money…” Sairai said, scratching the back of his head with one hand.

He turned around and looked to see how the other guy was doing with his share of the androids, a small smirk crossing his lips.
