Post by Yamcha the banned 3/25/2012, 5:43 pm

The human teenager Yamcha was awake, he had been awake for hours, for him sleep wasn't an option.Today he did try to sleep, but it wouldn't come to him. He couldn't stand attempting to sleep all day, so he quickly rose to his feet and looked deep into the dark pool known as the sky. The Earth sun droped near the horizon, setting in the distance as night crept up slowly. Yamcha was troubled by a strange presence he had felt earlier. In the far corners of the night sky he pictured each speckle of light being like the desert he grew up in. He longed to be chastised by his sensei Master Roshi day after day, at least it would give him something to work for.

Here on 'Earth', there was nothing for him to do or entertain himself with. He would spend hours at a time simply tossing a ball of ki to himself. Back and forth, hand to hand, the ball exchanged gracefully until it was tossed aside in the soft Earth soil. He watched a bird wafted by overhead, brought in by countless human smugglers, the fat pidgeons roamed the natural land freely. Suddenly, an idea entered into the human's mind. He would learn to control his flight better.

It wouldn't be a hard concept. Just keep your feet under you and continiously let ki flow. At least, it seemed this easy as he had imagined it all in his mind. Of course, as a juvenile, he couldn't accuratly predict if it was to rain the day of a darkened sky, but he felt confident in his ability of ki control.

"This is going to be fun!" he smiled cheerfully as he began to look around the empty green landscape, looking for a raised peice of land. Finally, he found one. About 10 feet below him, the base of the rock formation jutted from the soil, and infront of him, he had miles of space to roam until his heart's content. Now if only he could learn... Taking a step closer to the edge he swallowed his fear. Shutting his eyes tightly he began to creep closer and closer to the cliff's end and held his breath, preparing to leap off the rocky spire.

"I think I've seen Sensei Roshi hint on this technique a few times, saying its a crane ability..." He muttered as he gazed down at the ground below. From this position it seemed much farther away then it did a few seconds ago when he was looking up at the cliff. "I hope I can do this..."

He focused his ki in his feet and quickly ejected it causing him to leap forwards unsteadily. He tumbled off the ledge as he struggled to keep his ki focused in his feet. As he descended, a few inches from the soil, the ki steadily began to flow from his feet. It was a good thing the Yokai-Jin spirit granted him with advanced ki control, otherwise he could have nearly killed himself.

As he struggled to keep his feet beneath him as he floated in midair, he attempted to raise and lower his distance of the ground. When he became more confident, he began to breeze lazily along. Every so often, he would began to loose control but quickly regain his balance before he would make contact with the blue grass of Earth.

Next, he attempted to pick up the pace of his bouyant capabilites. Yamcha attempted to release a limited amount of ki out of each foot to help straighten himself out. After a few seconds, he was leveled and was zipping around at a respectable pace. He soared against the wind, he chased birds and insects through the meadows of Earth until he had throughouly wore himself ragged. He was panting when he finally landed in the soft grass. He laid back and tucked his hands behind his head. He sighed heavily as he finally began to wind down. "Today sure was fun." He said as a large grin cracked the surface of his face.

A flock of birds cawed from overhead, and if the Human youth wasn't so tired, he may have chased them. As of now, he had expelled all of his energy for the day and his body demanded some sleep. Slowly, he would blink in and out of focus dreaming of himself flying throughout the galaxy, soon, he would arrive at a new planet and be welcomed like a hero.

He snuggled deeper into the soft meadowy grass and took in it's sweet scent. A warm breeze wafted a salt water blanket over him as he began to drift off into a light sleep. His tiny breath came out in wisps as he reminisced of the 'adventure' he had went on that day. It wasn't every day that Yamcha would learn to control his flight better, it was a serious stepping stone for him. Maybe now he would be able to fly back home...to the desert. Maybe one day...

--

That night, a horrific event was played in his head. In what seemed to be a large dome shaped room, multiple spectral beings were chained to the wall around him. The thick chains groaned as the monsters began to struggle with all their might. The beasts resembled something that not even the most gruesome movie would display.

The skin of the beast was transparent, beneath the thin covering black milky substance bubbled vigorously, quickly changing positions every second. It's grotesque facial features were that of the scariest nature. Two beady crimson eyes glared hungrily at Yamcha as he searched desperately for a way to free himself from the house of horrors. They lashed out, claws extended. Each claw was serated and paper thin, making them the ultimate tearing device. Long curved fangs adorned the monster's mouth as they continued to bellow and roar at the young Human.

In his dream, he wasn't afraid of the hideous creations. In fact, he felt a strange connection to them. Suddenly, he doubled over in debilitating abdominal pains. He clenched his stomach tightly as something crept through his midsection and began to exit through his esophagus, then finally exited from his mouth.

With a low gurgle, a beast similiar to the other 9 chained to wall emerged and circled the room, releasing his brethren. They savagely ripped through the wall behind them and hurried out into the abyss, shrieking with glee. Yamcha stood, weak in the knees, before the manifested beast. It grinned cynically back at it's host and quickly slipped back into his mouth. Without much effort, the Human youth expelled him yet again. On the third repeated fail, the spirit gave up and dematerialized before the young boy's eyes.

Then, he snapped awake, back on planet Earth. Sighing heavily he lolled his read to the right feeling sweat pouring down his neck. It was chillingly cold and it sent a shock wave down Yamcha's spine. He sat up quickly trying to remember all the dream he could. All of the sudden, it came back to him, clear as day. The older Human elder warned him about premonitions like these, he had to take care when he witnessed terrible things like this.

He sluggishly worked his way back to his feet and inhaled deeply. He stretched his arms to their limit over his and rolled out his neck. A strange feeling still clung to the back of his mind and he couldn't shake it. Finally, he grew tired of trying to wipe the dream from his mind, and instead focused on flying again.

With steady ease, he lifted himself into the air and kicked his legs lightly. He was nearly in full control of his ki now and it felt more comfortable now that he could place his full confidence in it. He leaned backwards, looing skyward and slowly wafted through the warm Earthian air. He licked his lips hungrily realizing he hadn't eaten anything in nearly a full day. "Oh!" he said as he touched down with the tips of his toes. "I forgot," he chuckled merrily, "I can just fly to the river!"

With that, he was back into the air and cruised playfully towards the river. It was only a few miles north of his position, and there was bound to be a good amount of fish simply snacking on foolish insects who decided to test the aquatic beings. Birds flew unfaltering over head, and Yamcha was inclined to pursue them. With little to no effort, he lifted himself higher and increased the velocity at which he flew. Soon he caught up to the bunch of them, drew his sword from it's sheath and swung it at a bird, cleaving it perfectly into two halves.

The rest of the avian group continued on, seemingly not noticing one of their brother's had just died. Grabbing the bird by the neck, Yamcha noticed it was an animal the humans called a 'duck'. "Yum!" he cried happily as he shook the duck by the neck excited to be able to come across such a delicacy in the Earth wastelands. He gracefully scaled a tree and with great effort broke a few sticks down. He laid them in a tee-pee like formation and light them with a weak ki blast. He quickly assembled a spit for the duck out of 3 sticks and let it roast over the open flames.

The smell of duck filled the young Human's nostrils as he fantasized how good the duck would taste, especially on such an empty stomach. He crossed his legs over themselves as he waited patiently for his food to cook. Finally, when he could wait no longer, he took the spit off the flames and took a large bite from the duck. With a loud crunch, he took another bite. Grinning widely, he took a third bite and before proceeding, stopped to actually breathe and chew his food.

Without warning, something behind him had either entered or exited the water with quite an act. The splashing noise silenced everything else. The birds singing, the fire crackling, his own breath, everything was muted. Yamcha took a fourth bite and reluctantly returned the duck to the spit.

His eyes bulged with curiosity as he saw the beautiful maiden that had just exited the river. "I-I'm Yamcha..." He stammered as he bowed down to one knee to express his graditiude.

The maiden that came from the river and slowly ambled towards Yamcha, a sly smile played on her face, suddenly she shifted into a beast, similiar to the monsters he had witnessed the night before. The monster pulled it's long legs into itself, it's horrific facial features distorting into small red eyes and curved fangs. The arms thinned out and the hands grew to nearly double the size. Serrated knife like claws took the place of nails and the legs were totally hidden. The black milky substance begin to poison the ghost's insides with it's mysterious liquid. Yamcha was utterly shocked, he barely managed to respond. "L-leave me a-alone!" he yelped as he attempted to regain his posture.

Without hesitation, the specter leeched onto the human youth and began to inhale Yamcha's spirit into his own mouth. A grim chant echoed from the monster's bowels as the youthful warrior could feel the power being drained from his body. Once the beast had recovered enough power from Yamcha he began to take physical shape.

At first, he formed a shadow of Yamcha, then formed a ghost image, finally, he filled in with color. Everything about him was similiar to Yamcha, except for the fact the clone's right side was covered in strange red relics and symbols. On his forehead he bore a scar resembling that of a earth symbol for Peace. Ironically enough, the creature wanted nothing to do with any sort of peace.

Yamcha forced himself to stand, his body was aching already and the fight hadn't even begun. His demonic clone opened his mouth to speak. In a very deep voice, it boomed; "Hail to the 10 Yokai-Jin Spirits. I, Pain, will be escorting you back to the Netherworld. Come with me, Yamcha." It echoed menacingly as it personally addressed the Human. Slowly it continued towards it's drained counterpart. He grabbed him by the collar and squeezed tightly, the clump of clothing becoming wrinkled in his fist. "You embarrassed me once, and once is enough. I may have lost my reign over you, but it seems you will be joining me in the Netherworld for eons to come." He hissed as he tossed him aside.

Yamcha hit the soft dirt and rolled through, slowly rising to his feet again. Suddenly, he two began to form symbols and relics all over his right side. His runic charms were of a blue tint though, it seemed his spirit was completely opposite. Pain was obviously surprised at the Humans transformation.

"Ho-How!?" He asked as he staggered backwards. He couldn't understand how Yamcha could still have half the Yokai spirit. Any drain of that size would have already killed a mortal being, let alone steal one's spirit. "I cannot let you live any longer. I must regain my full power." He growled as he charged forwards at his counterpart. Pain was by far his inferior now and his weak attack was flawlessly countered.

Yamcha stood facing his 'brother' with a stern face on. Once his counterpart began to charge forth, he stood his ground. "You cannot kill me so easily." The spirit within Yamcha said. Yamcha had absolutely had no intention of saying this nor fighting his counterpart, but apparently, the Yokai Spirit opposite of Pain, knew what he was doing.

"I am Justice, the second half of your Yokai spirit. I sense your confused." He chuckled as he watched as the young Human boy gazed around the room. "This is the Netherworld, the home of us Yokai-Jins.." He said in a deep voice very similiar to the one he had just heard a few minutes ago. "I feel your potential, so I summoned you to the depths of your subconscious, the only place we may speak." Justice muttered as he ordered Yamcha to sit.

Yamcha sat down, his knees were curled into his chest, his arms locked around them to hold them in place. "How did you take control of my body?" He asked remembering what the Human elder had said about the Yokai spirit granting nearly unlimited power through the possession of a physical body. It sounded like great fun, but so far, Yamcha was miserable.

Justice smiled patiently and seemingly all knowing. "Every Yokai spirit is both a demon and and a deity. In your case, your free will helped you break free from the Yokai-Jin of Pain, causing you to be able to decide your actions and emotions." He explained. "This being said, I am the 'good' side of Pain, Justice, and when you expel the opposite spirit, the pure Yokai can take control. For example, if you were to expel me, you would allow Pain to overtake your body. Pain is the pure evil Yokai-Jin."

Yamcha scratched his head hoping that he would someday make sense of all this. "So your saying, if I'm a good guy, your my Yokai-Jin Spirit, but if I am evil, Pain will be my Yokai-Jin Spirit?" He asked trying to sort out how much of the spirit's explanation he understood. Evidently, he knew more than he had expected

Justice smiled and nodded. "This is true."

Yamcha bowed his head to think about it. "Okay. Is there anything else I should know?"

Justice returned to his stern looking face. "Yes. One other thing. Since you are the only unleashed Yokai-Spirit in nearly 2 million years, you are the only being in the whole universe who can put a stop to all the evil Yokai-Jin spirits." He said, a powerful undertone bellowed from deep within his body. "The last unleashed Yokai-Jin failed. In fact, he didn't even destroy his own dark side." he said scornfully. "I have great faith that you will not fail us."

"Us?" Yamcha asked warily. He didn't know there were more spirits. "How many of you Yokai-Jins are around?"

Justice frowned. "Ten. I'm surprised you didn't know that. Last night, your dream, there was 10 spirits. Each spirit was a Yokai-Jin." He said as he helped Yamcha back up to his feet. "They are scattered through the universe. I am asking you, no, begging you, to find the other 9 and destroy them. Doing this will forever end the evil Yokai-Jin reign and make us, the true Yokai-Jins free. Let me tell you the story of the Yokai-Jins to help you understand what I mean by ending the Yokai-Jin reign of terror. Settle in, it's a long one." Justice warned as he took a seat. He took in a big breath of air and took Yamcha by the hands. "Come with me..."

With that, a loud whooshing noise filled his ears and he was teleported into what appeared to be something similiar to a story book. Each page was marked with words and pictures. Justice joined him as he began to explain the story of the Yokai-Jins.

-now about the Yokai-Jins-

Long ago nearly 7,000,000, years ago, the Yokai-Jins were a peaceful race, never getting into any wars or skirmishes with any other planet, nor did any planet show any malice towards them. In fact, if you look at the spirit's of our ancestors, we rarely commited any crimes our whole life. Our planet, Yokiyo (named after the plethera of yokiyo fruit.) was beautiful. Jungles were a common site, mountains were in every horizon, it was a world of many natural wonders. Every night, the sky would jolt to life displaying brillaint streaks of lights across the sky. It was rumored that if you ever had found the Rainbow Stone, so it was called locally, you would receive an infinte amount of power. More power than any mortal being in the galaxy. It was also rumored the Rainbow Stone was the cause behind the beautiful nightly lights show, so many exploratons to retrieve the Rainbow Stone were started, but none every emerged victorious. Soon everyone had forgotten the legend. That is, except for Lord Tyranus.

At the time, Lord Tyranus was head of the National Yokiyo Ruling Family, he had supreme power over every single decision that was to be decided on Yokiyo. Since there was never an evil hearted king, the Yokai-Jins never felt the need to limit his power.Unfortunatly, Lord Tyranus would cause enough problems to cause unrest throughout the whole universe. Lord Tyranus would be the first and last corrupt king of the Yokai-Jin race, sad to say, he doomed it into the Netherworld. He and his council of 9 elders all set out, deep within the mountains to find the Rainbow Stone. Years had passed and no word had come of them returning, so a new king was selected.

King Poko Poko was selected, he was the grandson of one of the elder's who still firmly believed in the Rainbow Stone's mythical powers, so he too was intriged by the fantastic stone. Unlike Lord Tyranus, he wasn't corrupt, nor were his council of elders. He opted a vote to take place wheter or not he should attempt to find Lord Tyranus, and as pure hearted citizens, the Yokai-Jins agreed.

By overall vote, it was decided that a search team was to find what had happened to the ten beings who set out to find the Rainbow Stone. Less than a week later, a team was started and set off for the mountain peak. Ironically, 10 Yokai-Jins were selected to find what had become of their missing superiors. Finally, once the team approached the peak of the mountain, they noticed a colorful grotto on the mountain side. Instantly, they were drawn to it. Upon nearing the grotto, they felt an eerie presence, but they contiued onwards hoping to find their lost leader inside the cave. Unfortunatly, they did find him. Him and his 9 elders all in spectre form.

With ease, they forced the 10 explorers to act as their host to do their evil bidding. Their plan backfired when they realized the pure heart of the Yokai-Jin was incorruptable, their powers were neutralized. Upon this cataclysmic event, the Rainbow Stone reacted violently and counter produced life on the planet, causing our planet to become what is now known as the Netherworld. The 10 fused Yokai-Jins became the spirits they are known as today. Monsters that must possess their physical host.

The common spirits that dwell in the Netherworld, not knowing what has happened they live life just as they did 7 million years ago. After the 10 Yokai-Jins were exposed to the Dark Rainbow Stone (as it is now commonly refered to.) they were forever bound to their fusion. Except, there was a single flaw. Every 1 million years, the fusion would break causing the user to become 'unleashed', like you are. Thus the user could select which Yokai-Jin spirit they would use, the evil spirit or the good spirit. The past 3 times, they've all chosen their evil spirit. The first time it happened, the unleashed being chose to side with the good spirit. Now, we pure good spirits have another chance. If the unleashed spirit destroys the opposite Yokai-Jins, the Rainbow Stone will revert to it's original form, releasing Yokiyo from it's demise.

I will be forever indebted to you if you can pull this off. Please, for the sake of the universe, save us...

Another day on earth Empty Re: Another day on earth

Post by Yamcha the banned 3/25/2012, 5:56 pm

Now, Yamcha awoke back in the mortal world, beginning where he remembered the evil Yokai-Jin spirit fusing with the pure good spirit within him causing him to pass out briefly. In that brief period of time he had learned so much about the Yokai-Jin, not to mention he had realized his purpose in life. At this point, all he knew was his stomach craved food and it demanded to be fed. Patting it lightly he began to chuckle. "Relax down there!" he cooed as he lifted into the air to find the nearest river. Gazing along the redundant landscape he finally found a break in the sea of blue grass. He smiled fondly as he tore through the air. Drawing nearer, he began to descend and in the final second touched his toes onto the ground with a light pat.

He rubbed his stomach vigorously as he found a nice rock to have a seat at. He took a compactable fishing rod from his front tunic pocket, extended it, and cast his line into the river. Foolish him had forgotten to place a worm on the tip so he retrieevd his line and dug a fist deep of Namekian soil in search of a quick fix to his missing bait. With general ease, he plucked an earthworm who defiantly refused to be captured, skewerd him on the hook and fed the line into the river. The fish lofted curiosly close to the bait, but never took a hold of it. Growing impatient, he gave the rod a little nodge hoping to make the dead earthworm on the hook appear animate, if only for a few seconds. He growled as neither making his line bob or appear more life like had any effect on the fish. "Stupid fish..." he grumbled as his stomach bellowed at him.

The day was warm again, a very cool breeze whipped through the planet though keeping Yamcha awake as he held the rod lazily in one hand. He sat his chin in his palm and began to sift through the information he had acquired that day. A few minutes later, Yamcha determinied he must seek and destroy the 9 other Yokai spirit's a relativly high amount in the Northern Galaxy nonetheless. The purpose of this was to reverse the Rainbow Stone and his reward would be unimaginable. Finally it seemed everything was being tied togethor.

Suddenly, his thin, wooden fishing rod was nearly dragged into the river by a keen fish who had nearly caught the Konation on a bad day, he was only a second or two away from freedom. Yamcha dove on the rod and quickly jerked it backwards repeatedly until his quary was drawn completely out of the water, utterly lifeless. With great pride and caution, he gutted the fish and started another fire after assembling a spit to roast the fish on. As he poked the thick wooden spit through the scaly creature. Slowly, the fish cooked complete and the dim sunlight bathed the luscious planes of grass.

"This is my dinner." He sighed as he nudged the fish with a wooden probe. Once the fish was throughoughly cooked, Yamcha hungrily began to eat it. In the dusky sky it seemed that the Namekian sky was putting away for the night and granted viewers one final temptation of beautiful star lit sky before the second sun began to rise to signify a new day. "I suppose the fish is dinner AND breakfast in this case." He grunted as he took the final bite out of the river fish.

He looked over his back at the babbling stream, yawned hastily, then quickly picked left over meat from the bones of the fish. Puar flew in and spoke to Yamcha.

Yamcha, i know your strong and all but you gotta stop dreaming. Rest and relax. The answers will come to you in time. and can i have some of that fish? Yamcha shared the fish with puar and they both began to feast away.
