Broly's feet touched the ground softly, making no noise in an attempt to avoid alerting his prey. Somehow, the boy's head turned anyway, as if he'd known Broly would land in that exact spot. Unimpressed, the warrior crossed his arms, as the boy failed to turn the rest of his body. Was he afraid? Was the fear starting to effect his nerves? Or was he just too stupid to realize that the end had come for him? He could no longer run, nor could he expect any quarter. He had proven his strength to Broly, and that alone was enough to fuck him in the end. He wouldn't be escaping anymore; the Legendary Warrior simply had to sample his true strength in combat, and then consume it with his own. He couldn't stand someone being more powerful, someone being more lethal than he was...then refusing to utilize it for a chaotic purpose.

"Too afraid to run, boy?", Broly's words rose over the roar of rushing water. The boy had stopped running in a spot that could best be described as picturesque, nature at it's best. A river atop a waterfall, at the edge of woodland and meadow. His boots were in the middle of the water, just barely above it. Broly himself stood on the riverbank, not bothering to hassle himself with the liquid. He didn't like water, despite it's harmlessness. One never knew what it held inside, beneath it's depths. Was there a predator there even more efficient than he was? Or was there a trap lying underneath somewhere? His father had once tried abandoning him inside such a place; a planet covered entirely in water. When that had failed, he'd discovered how pointless escaping Broly proved.

The boy was breathing calmly, and maintaining his flight above the raging and rushing waters. Even though his facade was near flawless, Broly could still tell that he was enraged. Was it finally catching up to him? That his friends had been slaughtered by the Legendary Super Saiyan? The thought brought a grin to the elder fighter's face. He had made sure to decimate the boys in a hale of energy and pure firepower. They had never stood a chance, regardless of their strengths compared to a normal human's, they were nothing in comparison to Broly. It was as if he was an oil fire, snuffing out three nearby candles. There hadn't been enough oxygen in the world to keep them alive for longer than thirty seconds.

Soon, the same would prove true for this youth, regardless of how strong he thought he was. Nobody stood up to Broly for very long, and even then; well, the number of surviving opponents continued to dwindle. He could imagine the heart pounding fear that the boy must have been feeling, the drum beat that should have been beating ferociously inside of his head. It must have made him want to flee so badly, to run and pound feet against dirt in any attempt to escape. It would have made things so much more interesting. Broly couldn't imagine anything more fun than to run down a terrified prey, one who had already lost his sense of self and security. It was always an interesting hunt, and it was rarely one that Broly lost. He couldn't even remember the last time he'd lost to his prey.

Soon, this boy wouldn't even remember his own life. But for some reason, the way he looked at him...Those piercing blue eyes. Something there unnerved the warrior, and yet he couldn't be sure of what it was. Everything about the boy was different than it had been before. It was as if he had changed somehow, empowered himself to a different level. It was in every part of him, the power. It was overflowing from his pores, coming together to form an aura of equally piercing crystalline color. Had Broly been more literate or well read, he might have been able to say such a thing in his own words. Instead, he settled for eyeing it with distaste. In reply, he tensed his own muscles, and let his aura speak for itself. Emerald energy began to rise out from the air surrounding Broly, creating a sphere of pure energy which wrapped around him.

"Do you think I'm afraid of you?", the boy's words cut through the tension like a knife. With them, came genuine laughter from the elder fighter; was the child seriously asking him that? Broly knew that the boy did not fear him, but that was what intrigued him. It was the reason that he continued to pursue him in the hopes of a plentiful slaughter. He sought out nothing more than the defeat of this child who lacked the ability to fear. Whatever reason for his thoughts, he couldn't have been more wrong. Still, Broly let the boy go on, too entertained to bother interrupting him from his oncoming rant. He didn't mind being brought comedy. He could hardly imagine a reason to interrupt, for now. It wasn't like he felt the sting of a well worded rant.

"I'm afraid of the dark, of spiders, of bee stings. You're nothing so petty, but nothing that could scare me. You're just a bully, an asshole who picks on the guys who can't defend themselves. If you think you're something that I'd be afraid of, then come at me. You know you won't, because you know I'm strong, that I'm not like the others. If you want to prove me wrong? You think you want some?"

The boy paused, and turned to face the warrior. He was clearly displeased with Broly, for some reason or another. The Saiyan himself didn't see a reason to be upset; no one was angry for the ants he'd crushed, no one cared for the bugs he would smash in the future. This situation was exactly the same. He couldn't figure out why it mattered; killing a few humans should not have had any impact upon this boy. There were six billion more, after all. It wasn't as though he'd have honestly cried over spilled milk, which Broly found to be more or less equivalent to this situation.

"You hear me, buddy? If you want some, come get some. If you think you're man enough, come take some!"

Broly's laughter paused. Was he seriously challenging him? How precious. He thought he could defeat the Legendary Super Saiyan? Oh well; it meant little to Broly. This boy was merely another soul to be crushed and destroyed, then. It was disappointing that he had managed to incite his wrath so early, as things could have proven entertaining had they progressed further. Unfortunately, Broly intended to have this boy shattered and broken underneath the soil within five minutes of the words leaving his mouth. His own face curving into a snarl, the warrior shot off of the ground, body raising into the air as he came in at an arc toward his newfound opponent. "Don't you trifle with me, child!", words sent straight from his heart. Broly was about to beat this kid like he'd stolen something.

Energy erupted around him as he closed in on the boy, his heart now pounding excitedly. Battle was coming ever closer, as it seemed. The boy was the exact opposite; where Broly represented pure ferocity, feral nature, the boy was the calmer storm. He was calculating, different. He was an intellectual of sorts, a type who sought justice and understanding for the world ahead. He would not survive against the warrior who was being unleashed upon him, and if he thought he would he was terribly mistaken. No one survived against an opponent like Broly, much less an angry Broly. He would do as he originally intended, and scatter this boy's ashes to the wind without a second thought whatsoever.

His right fist slammed hard into the boy's face, sending him stumbling backward through the air with an audible crack, that rose above the sound of the river. As Broly went to follow his attack up with a second, the boy's boot came crashing into his jaw in reply, a clear sign of defiance from the Earthling. Though his head snapped to the right, Broly continued forward toward his opponent, sending his arm in toward the boy while he was unable to attack. Grinning wildly as his hand closed on the kid's throat, Broly now directed his burst of flight downward at the river. Then as if he'd experienced a sudden rush of consciousness, the boy's fist came carving through the air toward the warrior's jaw. Broly had barely time to blink before it slammed into it's target, forcing him to relinquish his grip.

Clearly displeased as he released his opponent, Broly released a flurry of blows toward the Kame Student, hoping to overwhelm him with speed, strength, and superior firepower. His opponent however, did not disappoint. His agile body slid around each blow, barely evading every strike by what seemed to be a hair's width in an attempt to conserve energy. He was clearly well trained, but training did not prepare one for a conflict with a being who was almost a force of nature himself. As it became clear to him that his strikes were being evaded by a slight margin on purpose, he increased the frequency of his blows, driving his enemy ever downward.

At some point during the flurry, they had rotated. The boy's back was now facing the water, something that Broly had managed to bring about. He was going to drown the little fucker, and make sure he never saw the light of day again. Grinning as the boy began to fire out rapid jabs, the warrior failed to mind the sting of the blows against his skin. It was clear to him that the boy was more apt with energy than he was with ki, something that brought the warrior disappointment. He would show the child the error of his ways through a demonstration of melee based might. Broly's leg suddenly rose, slamming hard into the boy's freshly raised guard. His right hand slung outward in an attempt to shatter Broly's nose, only to be met by an open palm. Broly gripped the boy's fist hard, pushing downward as his grip tightened.

The boy released a retaliatory flurry of blows from his remaining first, struggling to escape Broly's grasp. The warrior now began to actively use his ability to evade, keeping his eyes on the boy's fists as they swerved in and out in any number of attempts to get Broly to release him. Unfortunately for him, nothing was that easy. The Legendary Warrior continued to tighten his grip, keeping the boy from pulling his hand back no matter how hard he tried. He was trying to induce a panic into the child, and the painful grip he was using was a clear sign of it. There was no other very practical use for his current tactics, he had to admit.

Broly's right hand came crashing down repeatedly as his leg lowered, attempting to breach the boy's still relatively firm defense. He was too caught up in the evasion and blocking Broly's ceaseless assault to think about the water below, until his back was touching against the river's rapidly moving current. It was then that he applied the jets; energy released from both boots as he plowed across the riverbed, sending two wide jets of water up in his wake. Broly held firm to his hand however, quickly gripping the child's wrist with his other hand. Wrapping it in his fingers, he quickly tugged against the boy's struggling jet of energy. Pulling him down hard as he applied his own power, Broly forced him into the water. As soon as the boy's body neared him, he rolled him over and began pushing with force.

Placing one hand on his back, and keeping the other on his wrist, Broly slowly got into position. He placed one boot upon the soil, and the other on his back so that he could release his arm and keep him pinned to the ground. Hopefully, that would prevent him from escaping. Applying brute force as the boy tried to bring his head up above the water, the elder fighter soon felt the comforting rock of his deep, bass-like laughter. The child had been speaking so strongly of his defiance mere moments ago, and yet here he was now, being drowned in the river they'd come to. How pathetic he was; how foolish he had been to ever think he stood a fuckin' chance.

"Had enough of the water yet, child?", Broly's voice was like a howl in the night, capable of sending chills down even the sturdiest of spines. Yet, the boy still wasn't done. His energy spiked suddenly as he released a pulse of blue energy into the water below, sending the both of them into the air along with a pillar of water. Broly felt his body blown forcibly off of his opponent's form, as he was sent flying. Taking in a breath as he stabilized himself in the air, Broly sought his opponent's energy signature through the newly emerging haze of steam and raining river water, hoping that the boy hadn't managed to kill himself. He didn't want to be robbed of the satisfaction that he associated with bludgeoning a man to death with his own arm.

As the steam parted, Broly caught sight of his opponent. The child was crouched on the other side of the river bed, clearly making an attempt to bring oxygen back to his lungs. Still holding a snarl on his features, Broly slung his arm backwards. Energy soon rose around him once more, rising in an emerald current of roaring energy. His eyes narrowed as his target was acquired, clearly unaware of Broly's energy amassing on the other side of the bank. How he didn't hear it, Broly couldn't tell. Was he stupid? Was he brain damaged? Hell, he wouldn't doubt it. Taking one of Broly's punches wasn't very healthy. As the blast of energy continued to grow until it consumed his fingers, Broly considered how much damage this would wreak upon the area.

Not being able to find the child's body would be troublesome.

Slinging his arm forward as if he were throwing a sidewinder, Broly released his blast toward the boy in a lenient arc. He watched as the destructive ball of compacted energy reached the boy's guard. Time slowed down, coming to a screeching halt as he watched those pale blue eyes widen-- then the blast detonated, consuming everything a bright flash of green light. The sound came next, racing through the air like a boom of thunder following the flash of lightning, a sign of how deadly Broly's might was becoming. He had grown much in the past few days, and planned to grow even more powerful. However, something was telling him that his speedy growth was preparing to slow down. Namely, the fact that all good things, no matter how positive, had to come to an end.
