The Creation of a Planet's Existance Chapter 1 (COMPLETE) Empty The Creation of a Planet's Existance Chapter 1 (COMPLETE)

There exists a world, where magic breathes. It flows through the earth, the water, the air, it is the very essence of existence there. Where the magic touches, life is brought into being, it brings shape to things that were shapeless, it brings a pulse to things that were pulse less. It makes the inanimate become animated, so that all has a soul, all has a conscious. Though everything plays a different role in how the world works, some things were made to be the makers of the world. Those brave beings that would explore, and carve out into the world a home. Other things lived day by day on their instincts alone, feeding upon other animated beings in order to survive. And still other beings were there to help sustain the planet, to keep magic flowing through the world pure and clean so that the cycle of life and death could continue unabated.

Normally such a phenomenon would not be possible, most planets at the beginning of time were just barren rocks, floating around a much larger object such as a star, drawn in by it's intense gravitational force. Though there exists beings, lonely beings that have lived since beyond existence and as they watched these barren planets floating through space, their grand creation which had entertained them for a very long time. Yet these beings, could live on for an eternity and beyond. To them they craved the Chaos of change, to be able to experience and see growth and struggle. There was a natural Order to things though, these beings could not directly interact with each other and as such had to Create, in order to sate their craving for Chaos.

Amongst all of these beings there was one who was full of mystical power. This particular being, knew what it meant to create, what it meant to care, and what it meant to love. So when he settled across one barren rock, devoid of life he sought to breathe life into the planet, so that the wandering souls of existence could experience, life, love and laughter. Of course strife, pain, and disorder were to accompany these souls on their journey, but without challenge how could these wandering souls enjoy their personal successes?

A second passed, or perhaps it was a year, or maybe even an eon. To these beings time did not flow, it was merely something that was there much like the rest of existence, it was something to be shaped, molded and manipulated. During this time this mystical being took his time thinking about what it was exactly that he wanted to create, what kind of people would walk this planet? How would they live? How would they maintain themselves? What kinds of creatures would there be for his new people to interact with? There were hundreds upon thousands of questions that this being had to think about, and it was not going to rush, it's creation would have to have a good world to live in. It would have to be able to enjoy it's existence, and have the freedom to choose what actions they took in life, so that they were not simple puppets on a string. This would bring the greatest enjoyment for the powerful being, for even it would not be able to predict what would happen then.

When it was ready, this being set about shaping the world with the most infinite of care. There exists no words to describe the beauty of that shaping, nor words that would be able to show the exact process that was involved, though if you were to try, if you could have seen the world as it was given birth you would see the land flowing. As this divine being thought, so did the land respond, giving shape to it's every whim. Magical was the shaper, and so the world too became magical as bits and pieces of it's essence was absorbed into the world.

More time passed, time like which anything living today would not be able to fathom and the world was ready, it had taken on it's final shape. It was covered in animals that roamed the world, moving by instinct, forests dotted the land giving it a green splendor, bodies of water gave it life, spreading the essence of magical life around the world when it was most needed. Tall, towering mountains gave shelter to the creatures of the world, offering them protection against the fiercest storms. For it had been designed in order for living creatures to feel pleasure, so too must they feel pain. Just as Chaos must exist in order for the Divine Beings to be entertained, so must Order exist so that not all will fall into ruin, completely consumed by that which could not be controlled.

The first beings to walk this new born planet were the animals, they had shapes that varied in the hundreds of thousands. Colors that would have made a rainbow seem gray. Their roles on the planet were many, to help maintain the balance of magical energy through life and death, some would eat the other, others would eat the planet life that existed, and others still would eat both. This cycle of consumption would be what would take magic in one shape, and then release it back into the world in another form so that new life could be born from it. At first these creatures were allowed to roam free, able to do as they please so that they could multiple and multiple until the planet was covered in them. These creatures had the simplest of souls, not seeking to master anything, just to live moment by moment, breathe by breathe, and would be a crucial building block in the building of other life on this new baby planet.

Next, a Master of the world would be required, creatures of great strength, above average intelligence, and overwhelming magical power. Since they would be the first of his creations, the Divine Being made sure to put a small portion of his own power directly into the spirit of each creature, so that they would easily understand the ways of the universe, and the will of the creator. They would be guides to the fate to the fate of the planet, easing it along it's destiny through subtle means. Such would be their power that their duties also encompassed striking down overwhelming evil, as it would be foretold that at some point the demonic would seek to overtake the world. They would need to be able to survey the land from great heights, so they were given wings to soar above the world. The enemies that they would have to fight would be of exceptional strength, and so they were given the ability to destroy with the very breathe they exhaled, enabling them to unleash a destructive torrent of pure magic to render even the most demonic of foe to dust. Given their great strength, anything that was immune to magic would be easily overcome by their brutal strength and sharp talons. When they were born, each let loose a great roar shaking the land with their might, and they were called Dragons.

As long as there is Order so too must there be Chaos, if there is Good then there must be Evil. With this in mind, the creator made sure to take an equal amount of Dragons, and seep into their souls a capacity for Chaos, not that they would be outright evil, but so they would be more inclined to give into their baser instincts, so that not everything would always be in order all the time. Though their purpose of defending the world against demonic creatures did not change, for the creator knew that there existed a chance that Chaos Dragons might overcome the Order Dragons, and so this way the world's protectors would always exist.

Making sure life was varied, and that to ensure that the soon to be made populace of the planet were not without challenges, the creator next made the monsters. These would be the creatures that made sure life would not always be easy, and there would an ever present challenge so that no one would ever grow complacent, for they would have to at least deal with an evil of some sort, no matter how weak that evil may be. The weakest of these monsters were small and green, possessing little in the way of intelligence, but were able to reproduce in great amounts by giving birth to large clutches of eggs. A step up in physical strength, were a race of red skinned monsters, possessing thickly muscled bodies, yet again they also suffered from a lack of intelligence.

The creator knew that creatures with greater intelligence were going to be needed, especially if the last race he was going to create were going to need to experience challenge. So next came the Giants, creatures of great physical strength, and great intelligence, though they needed little in the way of technology due to their great strength. They at least had the ability to reason, and form new thoughts and strategies that could ensure they would forever have a place in the world to come. These were just a few small examples of creatures that the creator made for his new planet, making many more that would live lives in the world above, hidden from view. While others yet would live life underground, also hidden from view. Some would be able to fly, some to breath under water, and even one would be able to move freely underground, as if the very earth itself were nothing but air.

All of these races were created first and given a head start on existence. It was the creators will that they be able to gain a foot hold into the planet, so that when his last creation came they would not be easily dealt with, nor simply wiped out from existence because they were not prepared. The creator was not going to favor any race in particular, and so keeping in mind each races strengths and weaknesses adjusted their numbers so that things could be equal. For the Dragons, they were not needed immediately at the planets creation, and so were bade to sleep in secret so that none would know of their existence at first. When the first demons would come to plague the planet they would find the planet not unguarded, and it would be very likely the fearsome protectors would be easily repelled.

So it was with great joy that the new creator could watch all of his new creations venture out into the world and find their way. Each and every single living creature on the planet would now have the opportunity to see what it means to live, to smile and to cry. Though chaos was mostly what these new creations had been made for, it did not mean that they would get any less thrill from living. They would be his first creations, and he would be able to judge and see if his work had been good, and that was the joy of Chaos, you will never be able to tell what the outcome might be.

For now though the creator decided to rest, to sit back on his 'divine throne', to watch and observe as events unfolded. There would come a time when another creation would be necessary, when Order would need to be established across the realm, when the wilds of the land would need to be tamed. It was ever so aware of the need for balance in creation, and though he would be playing a very fine game by not creating the necessary balancing force right away, it felt it's decision was a just one. Order is a very powerful force, one that when done correctly can easily overwhelm Chaos and create instability into the land. For this purpose, it waited until the more chaotic races had flourished for a while, and then order would be unleashed across the land.

The first chapter in this world's creation had been written, penned in the annuals of a divine mind. While many events would unfold between this chapters end and next, only those that are of significance will be recorded here.
