Spideros (Shana - Complete) Empty Re: Spideros (Shana - Complete)

Shouldn't you be training? Shana thought about ignoring Okibi's growl, but she knew by now that the god of fire would only keep pestering her. Still, she paused long enough to take another bite of ice cream. She was in the middle of West City, two days after her adventure into Nimbus' Realm. Even after the Sensu Bean that Korin had given her, the human had felt sore enough to rest a bit. After two days, however, the human was starting to feel restless. Realizing that her weekly trip to the ice cream shop had been interrupted by the whole 'become a Vessel and save the universe' ordeal going on, the girl had decided to actually take a well-earned break.

"Tomorrow," she promised Okibi, taking yet another bite of ice cream. She let her body relax into the wooden bench as she looked around at the throng of people before her. To anyone, she looked like a normal Elementary student who was skipping school. But that life had been torn away from her.

You said that yesterday... Okibi snarled, sounding impatient.

"Come on!" Shana begged, looking down at the gateway clasped around her neck. Luckily, the people traversing through the park on foot were too busy to notice the eleven year old girl who was seemingly talking to herself. "I haven't been to the ice cream shop in ages!"

I'm sure you know what Komand'r would say about that if she were here...

"Yes," Shana admitted, her brown eyes dancing with mischievousness. "But she's not here, is she?" Okibi sighed in response. Even the fiery lion-like god knew that it was pointless to argue with Shana when she had her mind made up. It was like trying to tell a Saiyan not to battle. And that wasn't about to happen any time soon.

Seemingly content even through Okibi's objections, Shana turned her attention back to the ice cream cone, only to drop it as a explosion sounded somewhere on the outskirts of town nearby. Shana frowned at the spilled ice cream, oblivious the the screams around her as the people panicked.

What the hell was that?

"I-I don't know!" Shana sputtered out, pushing herself off the ground to pierce the canopy of leaves above her. As her form ascended above the park, she could see the city clearly; in the distance, a plume of smoke rose from a building. "I'm going to go check it out," Shana decided after a moment. She couldn't feel anything strong, perhaps it was just a bomb.

It didn't take long to find the disturbance. The people who were running away from the calamity were actually the same people leading Shana directly to whatever chaos had descended upon West City. Simply by traversing in the opposite direction as the panicked throng, Shana found herself in front of the West City Central Bank.

"A robbery?" Shana wondered aloud as more people shouldered their way past her. Sirens blasted off of the buildings, and soon, the human could see police cars skidding to a halt as they surrounded the building. The column of smoke rose from the building's roof, were a helicopter was hovered above the gaping hole. A single man with a cue ball-like head had himself positioned upon one of the helicopter's legs quite comfortably. In his grip rested a very formidable looking piece of weaponry: an automatic machine gun. Even from the distance Shana found herself at, the host of fire could see the criminal's eyes light up as the West City police force pulled themselves into position.

A grisly looking man got out of one of the police cars and positioned a megaphone in front of his mouth. "This is the West City police! We have the place completely surrounded! Surrender and come out with your hands up!"

"Go to hell, all of ya! This bank belongs to the Spideros now!" the man on the helicopter screeched; Shana almost couldn't hear his voice over the air-borne vehicle's roar. But as the man cocked the gun and unloaded an entire clip upon the cop cars, Shana knew she had to do something.

Spideros (Shana - Complete) Empty Re: Spideros (Shana - Complete)

Just as Shana made her mind up and began to tense her leg muscles to leap into action, Okibi stopped her. Wait. Do you even have a plan?

Ummm, stop them?

Okibi sighed. Shana could almost see the lion of fire shaking his head. Against an unknown number of men with automatic firearms? Good luck with that. Shall I go ask Alexstrasza to go look for another host of fire while you impersonate Swiss cheese? Shana's ears burned slightly at the fire god's snide remark. She paused as the police and criminals traded gunfire, thinking carefully. Then, an idea came to her head. Before she could convey it to Okibi though, he had already addressed her once more. There! Now you're thinking!

Shana sighed, turning around as if she were leaving the scene behind. "Cease your fire and surrender!" She could hear the police man with the megaphone still shouting at the air borne criminal despite the rain falling down upon him in lead bullets. The armed maniac only laughed harder and continued his attack. Casting her senses out slightly, she detected Blackfire's massive power level almost at once. She must have been in her Super Saiyan form! Even from across the galaxy, (or wherever the host of lightning was) her tremendous energy could still reach Earth's domain.

Concentrate! At Okibi's snarl, Shana did her best to block out the Saiyan's power despite the curiosity now pricking at her skin. There was a small clump of power levels within the building; it was impossible to detect which were hostile and which were not, but Shana could guess that there were probably more than four of these "Spideros." On the same note, what kind of name was that?

Spideros (Shana - Complete) Empty Re: Spideros (Shana - Complete)

Now that wasn't so hard, was it?

Not now! Shana flashed at the god of fire. She narrowed her eyes, peering at the helicopter in the sky. A thin layer of sweat had formed on the human's brow; climbing a building wasn't something Shana did every day. The gunman was still there, spraying the police with gunfire. Inside the belly of the helicopter, Shana could see an almost endless amount of clips. He could keep those police at bay all day if he wanted! Shana thought with a shiver. She could see no way for the police to break through unless they used heavy arsenal. And in such a populated area, the host of fire doubted that they would risk civilian casualties for the sake of stopping a bank robbery.

Destroy the helicopter first, Okibi instructed, causing Shana to flinch.

But wouldn't that kill them? she queried.

Of course not, the lion-like spawn of flames scoffed. They're not even three feet up from the roof! Still, the human decided to practice caution. Holding up her arm, the girl pointed a single finger at the cylinder attaching the blades to the belly of the helicopter. With a small grunt of effort, she fired off a thin and crimson beam that cut through the air. So focused on his assault, the single man propped up on the leg never saw the beam coming. It struck its mark, rocking the helicopter with a sizable explosion. The Spidero was thrown off of his ride; the armed man let out a shrill cry of surprise as he landed on his back. The hull of the helicopter fell on the roof nearby with a thunderous crash, causing the entire building to shake.

Shana almost lost her footing as the roof began to split, but quickly regained her composure by cushioning her feet beneath a layer of ki.

"What the?" The Spidero was clambering to his feet, holding a large hand to his bald head. Shana could see crimson blood trickling out of a gash there. His right arm bore a sinister-looking tattoo: that of a black widow.

So that's why they're called the Spideros?

"You damned brat!" the criminal roared out, "Don't think I won't kill you just 'cuz you're a kid!" He reached for his fallen weapon, but Shana acted sooner, blasting into melee range almost instantly. With an audible crack, her knee slammed into his lower jaw and the man fell into a slumbering unconsciousness.

There was no need for stealth anymore. The noise of the criminals' escape chopper exploding would have undoubtedly alerted the rest of the Spideros that something was amidst.

That doesn't mean you can be careless... Okibi warned the host of fire.

I know that, Shana replied, peering over the massive hole in the roof. She could hear yelling inside as the gang members yelled at each other. It seemed to be nothing but mass confusion below; it would be a cover in itself. Pausing only to count how many people were in black leather, holding firearms, and boasting the sinister spider tattoo, Shana launched herself downward, landing square on one of the members. He was a skinny fellow with a Mohawk; with a startled cry, his legs crumbled beneath the weight of Shana's blow.

"Over there!" A cry resounded out sharply, but just as the men spun around to face the girl, she had already vanished. They unloaded bullet fire anyway.

"Where is she?" Another roar escaped one of the criminal's lips as their gunfire only hit tiled floor. Moving at such high speeds as to not let her form become visible to the naked eye, Shana moved a silently as she could, assessing the situation. There were plenty of hostages about, yet none of them were in any direct danger. That was a good thing, right? There were four goons remaining; they had formed a rough circle so that they could see in every direction. Only a small space could be seen behind all of their backs.

There! Shana leaped over them, allowing her speed to drop so her form would flicker into existence. A rush of wind pushing away from the new space she occupied what was alerted the remaining criminals of the girl's location. With fear-filled eyes, they glanced at her only to fall as she rapidly struck them down one by one.

She allowed herself a sigh. "Bravo. Well done..." A deep voice reverberated around the bank's lobby. Shana flinched at the sound of the new voice, whipping her head around to look at a hallway darkened with shadows. As the light hit on the new man, Shana could see that he wore the same tattoo as his goons, yet on his forehead. Other than that, one could easily assume that he were a proper business man; the bald headed criminal wore a very neat business suit. "I've seen a lot of things while leading the Spideros, yet a little girl taking down my gang like that is not on the list." He chuckled, seeming amused by the whole turn of events. But when he looked up, the amusement was gone, replaced by a face filled with rage.

"You little brat! I can't have someone like you making a fool out of the Spideros!" He rushed forward, cocking his fists as he stepped forward. The sunlight glinted unnaturally off of his fists, revealing that he had iron knuckles on. But before Shana could even begin to engage the new threat, Okibi had torn himself free from her gateway and sent the attacker flying to the ground.

"We don't have time for this!" the god of fire roared as Shana's attacker hit the tile hard. He skidded momentarily, eyes wide with shock from the sudden sight of the fire-infused lion. Okibi hardly gave him time to recover. His massive form landed harshly upon him and his teeth flashed with flames as he closed them around the leader's face. Shana gasped in shock as he writhed around helplessly before suddenly lying still. Okibi released his grip, then vanished as quickly as he had shown up.

Okibi! Shana admonished, Did you ki-

The lion sighed irritably. No, he's not dead. Now get out of here before the Police storm this place!
