Celerus and Bardock: Oozaru pt1

The Oozaru

You hear rumors of a Saiyan living in a cave who has been stuck in his Oozaru form for years, but is shunned as a monster by his own people. Upon arriving he attacks you. But, simply defeating him will not do, not if you wish to help him revert to his normal form. Survive his onslaught and prove you have good intentions.

Celerus hunched quietly in the bow of a tree where she benefited from the coverage of the thick leaves and branches. At the local inn she had heard outrageous rumors that there was an Oozaru stomping around here, miles north of the village deep in an undisturbed forest that bordered a lake. They said it was a terrible freak accident where some poor soul got stuck in transformation somehow. After years trapped in an Oozaru body, they say that his sanity completely deteriorated and now he is little more than a wild and raging beast that attacks everything it comes across. Until she found herself looking into a foot shaped crater, Celerus had only regarded it as the wild imaginings of the drunken tavern dwellers from the village. Though she had never transformed herself, her father had recounted his adventures to her many times and warned her about the massive power a Saiyan acquires during a transformation. She had only traveled up this way to train and meditate alone in the forest as they were few and far between on her planet. With this discovery she was considering turning back as she had no desire to receive a beating from an enraged Oozaru.

Today was the day, the day that Bardock was going to the area where a Saiyan was suppose to live, but the Saiyan wasn't there for a visit. He was trapped inside a cave where he was stuck in Oozaru form. If there was a chance that this Saiyan really lived Bardock would take it and go up to him. Bardock wished to meet this Saiyan so he could train with him. There was a problem tho actually two problems. The first one was this could be a myth and Bardock would waste his time. The second problem was that if the Saiyan did live Bardock would have a hard time calming him down. It was hard to calm an Oozaru down especially one who has been trapped for a while.

Bardock packed up his stuff and walked out the door toward the cave at exactly 8:00 A.M.. As he walked he could hear crunching from sticks that he was stepping on. Crunch Crunch Crunch. Bardock walked down a narrow path that went up and down hills for a long stretch, curving around the land. Bardock stared into the distance as he walked, watching as birds flew around gathering food for there young. He saw rabbit hop in small patches of clover. Whatever lies ahead of Bardock didn't care as long as he got some sort of training along with it.

Just as Celerus resolved to turn back south into town, her heart jumped up into her throat as the sound of cracking brush reached her ears. The crunch and crack of branches trudged up the path from behind her. Though she realized that it was far too quiet and gentle to be the Oozaru she still kept deathly still for a long moment until a man crept up the path before her toward the Oozaru foot crater. He probably had the same idea as her: Quiet and undisturbed training in the woods. Celerus was sure that if he knew what was really up here he wouldn’t have ventured this far into the woods. Her eyes scanned the path ahead of him that lead to the mouth of a cave. It seemed to be large enough to house an Oozaru... not that Celerus had ever actually seen one. When he didn't stray from the path to the cave, Celerus grit her teeth until she finally built up the resolve to intervene.

Swiftly she leaped down on the path behind him to grab the stranger by the back of his shirt and pull him into the safety of the underbrush.

"Whats the matter with you? Are you crazy?"

Bardock was so close now. He could feel the excitement rushing through his veins. His heart pounded,his head throbbed his body shook. Besides that he feel great. He was ready to face the Oozaru. He was so close to the cave. Bardock's steps were getting bigger. He was so close.... before his shirt was tugged on. Bardock swung around to anther Saiyan.

"Whats the matter with you? Are you crazy?" The Saiyan spoke.
"No I'm not crazy, I wish to release the Oozaru to train with him," Bardock spoke as he turned around.

Bardock kept walking to the cave turning around often to check to see if the Saiyan was still there, which she was.

"Don't worry, I know he's powerful, I can take him," He told the Saiyan as he formed energy in his hand.

Bardock released the energy into the wall. When it didn't work he started hitting and kicking the wall.

"Stupid wall!" Bardock raged

After deciding that it wasn't worth it to keep going energy deprived. Bardock walked over to a bush and took a quick rest.

Once Bardock awoke after about 13 minutes of rest the girl Sayian was still there.

Bardock peered over at her.

"Ah," Bardock sighed.

He got up and stretched, first his legs, then his muscles, and last his neck. Bardock then pulled out an apple and took a bite and juicy liquid flowed out.

"Let's try this again,"Bardock spoke to himself.

Celerus stood frozen in a mixture of shock and awe as Bardock shook off her warnings and continued to trek on toward the Oozaru cave. Every few steps he’d look back at her with the expression as if SHE was the one walking straight into the den of a monster. She weighed the situation in her mind until she gave a long sigh in exasperation and rushed to catch up to his stride. Her conscience wouldn’t her just walk away back to the safety of the village and wonder what had happened to the poor fool.

“Listen, I don’t think you understand. The locals say this guy is a monster. Crazy. Been stuck in this forum so long he doesn’t even remember being a Saiyan. If you go into that cave you’re not coming back and then I’m going to feel bad and try something stupid like go rescue you and then I’M not coming back.” She looked down as they stood in the center of another Oozaru foot print and pointed to its perimeter on the ground and started to feel fear creep back up into her chest.

“Look at this? Do you have a death wish or something? Its going to crush you into sawdust!”

Some part if Bardock did not want to continue on because he had heard this Sayian was a mighty beast that could destroy cities. Bardock decided to take the chance. Bardock released the energy that he had into the solid cave wall. He forced every last drop he had into that wall. Once the dust cleared Bardock was shocked.
"Dammit!"He shouted

He walked up to the barely dented wall and laid his fist into it. Once that didn't work he kept trying. He punched as hard as he could but all of his energy was already used up. Bardock collapsed under the lack of energy. On the fall down his head smacked into the ground. Once Bardock awoke he immediately started to bust the wall again. With every hit he could feel his energy slipping away. Bardock knew he had to give this one his all. He screamed as he got ready to punch the wall with all his might. His fist swung toward the wall and smacked into it. As soon as he hit it a giant crack shot up the wall. Bardock let out air as his back slammed into the wall and his body slid down the wall.

Celerus watched in horror as the stranger began to relentlessly wail against the entrance of the cave, knocked himself unconscious, woke up, and started wailing on it again sending a crack up the face of the rock covering the opening. As the stranger continued, Celerus noticed the dirt at the mouth of the cave. It was upturned and had deep grooves in the earth as if it had been dragged over again and again. She started wondering how a powerful Oozaru could be trapped to begin with. Then she realized that the Oozaru wasn’t trapped in the cave like the stranger thought… It was sleeping and he was pounding on its front door. She hurried over to him to grab at his arms.

“Stop it! You’re going to wake it up!” she started, but no sooner than the words left her lips did the ground start shaking sending loose rocks and boulders to fall around them. From behind the cracks in the rock a red light shone through until suddenly the rock deteriorated completely.

Celerus shoved hard on the man’s back to push him out of the way, “Hit the dirt you fool!” before throwing herself to the ground as well.

The Oozaru now stood in the open mouth of the cave, his jaw agape as he released a powerful wave of ki into the air.

After a vicious day of training Dilletuce yet again left the center with sweat dripping over his head. The sun had been beaming on vegeta for hours. He grinned holding his sweaty towel around his neck as he began speaking to himself” I heard a rumor once of a sayain that was so ashamed of themselves they ran into a cave.” He grins looking beyond the vast city thinking “ I can only imagine if such a thing is true.” He began walking slowly down the road as he continues” if it was to be proven true then possibly the rumor of this frieza guy could as well be a realization to the others.” He looked back only thinking of the other sayains laughing at him when he mentioned the story. Some even called him insane.

He leapt in the air as he began to float only grinning in glee although this was not a usual day for the six foot tall sayain. He had never before left the city without challenging some ones pride before but this was different. Proving to vegeta that there was a threat once could be useful in his cause. He his grin became wider as he thought the possibilities of these rumors to be true as he set out for the cave. He thought to himself “well I have no time to lose. If they are there then their life may just be hanging by a thread. Besides a dead sayain has no use on vegeta.”

Bardock swung kept hitting the wall, he made bigger and bigger crack's in it. This is it, time to release the beast. Bardock thought as he fired off anther blast/

“Stop it! You’re going to wake it up!” The girl Saiyan spoke.

He ignored her making shots like no other. One last blast, Bardock shot the biggest blast of Ki he has ever fired off in his life. The blast exploded, cracking the wall. Suddenly Bardock was nailed from the side. His whole body went down to the ground.

He looked to see the girl Saiyan on the ground next to him, looking at the cave.

"What's your problem?" Bardock asked, but then he turned his head.

What Bardock saw shook his bones to the ground. The Oozaru stood at where the wall crumbled, it was furious, it's eyes were focused on Bardock. The Oozaru was breathing deep and his teeth were clenched. It shot a blast out of his mouth right at Bardock. He dodged the blast and jumped to the right. This thing was pissed off.

"She was right, It was sleeping!"Bardock shouted.

He dodged more blasts that the Oozaru kept shooting at him. One blast shot at Bardock at full speed. Bardock had no choice but to deflect it. He shot the blast back at the Oozaru, hitting the beast in the chest.

The enraged Oozaru threw it’s snout into the air and let out an ear piercing roar while beating on it’s chest where the blast connected and singed its hair. Celerus darted behind a rock wall for cover, her mind racing for a plan while the beast fired blast after blast at Bardock.

Looking over the edge of the rocks she held her breath and gathered ki as quickly as she could, watching while the Oozaru swat at Bardock, enraged. She fired the blast at it’s knee, knocking it down where it screeched and writhed, holding its knee in a pile of boulders.

In a flash of movement, Celerus flew up to Bardock in an instant and looked around frantically up and down the side of the mountain until she found a collection of loose boulders at the top. She pointed to them.

“Come on! Help me push these rocks onto him. It won’t kill him but it will at least keep him immobile long enough for us to get away and think of a plan before he catches up to us.”

She flew up to the enormous boulders and braced her hands against them to push with all her strength.

Dilletuce didn’t take too long to notice the beast. He stopped in mid air just yards away from the battle with a grin on his face as he thinks to himself” that is one powerful oozaru alright.” Just watching the entice battle alone was enough to make your skin crawl. He then began to speak to himself out of joy” finally I will be able to prove that there is dangers on vegeta that needs my guardianship. “ He clenched his fist a bit in bitter joy but truthfully the battle became too much for him to sit by and watch alone. His sayain instincts were about to kick into gear as his nostrils begin to flare.

He was full of testosterone as he roared out “Haaaaaaaaaaa!”

With great speed his body had flew to the oozaru yelling” I finally have found you!”

He dodges each blast by going into a circular like formation. He smiled as his head then collided with the beast. The bare skull shaking as the beast takes a seat.

He grinned as the oozaru seemed to be stunned for a bit as he thinks to himself” This beast was too ashamed of his power that he had to hide in a cave? That seems less than likely.”

He looks to bardock with a more sinister grin as he asks” What is a Sayain like you doing monkeying around.”

Bardock thought he was about to get fried by the Oozaru until the girl Saiyan nailed the Oozaru in the knee, giving Bardock enough time to run, but also enough time to piss him off.

The other Saiyan appeared by him and shouted "“Come on! Help me push these rocks onto him. It won’t kill him but it will at least keep him immobile long enough for us to get away and think of a plan before he catches up to us.”

"Great idea!"Bardock replied as the Saiyan flew up to the boulders.

Bardock took off up to the boulders Helping the Saiyan to push the enormous rocks down. Bardock pushed as hard as he could but couldn't budge the rock. Then Bardock noticed anther Saiyan fighting the beast. He was amazed at his skills, he nailed the ape in the chest with his head.



"Wow!" Bardock spoke. "LEAD THE OOZARU UNDERNEATH THESE BOULDERS!"

The Saiyan didn't respond to him though, he was too busy fighting. Bardock took off toward the brave Sayian, leaving the girl Sayian behind. Bardock flew up to the beast and laid a punch into it's gut. Bardock then swung his leg into the Oozaru's face, bringing it down into the ground.

Bardock thought the beast was dead for sure but it gained strength and rose again, even more pissed.

As she watched the chaos unfold on the ground, Celerus was quite tempted to push the rocks onto them. Although they may seem to have the upper hand, the Oozaru form was their race’s strongest asset and if they died she knew she would be completely useless fighting it by herself. She sat and watched for a long minute while they fought. When it seemed they had won, the Oozaru jumped up to fight again. Celerus made up her mind. As an after thought she shouted down to them.

“Get out of the way, they’re coming down!”

Taking a deep breath, she clenched both fists and threw herself into the rocks. They quaked around her and the top of the mountain started shaking as the smallest rocks gave way first and broke the larger rocks free. A cloud of dust went up in the air and when it settled again, the fighters couldn’t be seen.

At once, Celerus jumped down and started searching the rubble for any signs of life but all she could find was the thick fur and heavy limbs of the Oozaru who was trapped momentarily between the rocks. It grunted and grumbled to her in what she suspected was actual words but she ignored him and continued her search for the other two Saiyans.

Dilletuce grinned as he seen the Sayain fighting alongside him as he looked up at the boulders and shouted" Have you lost you're mind!?"

It was too soon to say anything else from that point. So he moved away from the fight so fast that he seemed to be a blur in sight.

He growled only thinking to himself “That may have been my only proof of the rumored Sayain and as well any other threat.”

The Sayain gritted his teeth as the dust settled thinking a bit more of his proof than of the other Sayain fighting along side him. He looked about for a moment for any sign of life. His anger seemed to be almost seething through his skin at this moment as his blood began to boil. To him this was more than a spar amongst Sayains. It was proving to all of Vegeta he wasn’t so crazy after all. His eyes squinted a bit as he growled lowly under his breath.

He began thinking” without this sayain I would have no proof of the impending doom upon vegeta.”

“ and let’s not forget the only ones who seen this fiasco are me and two other Sayains that I do not even know the name of.” He continued deep in thought only thinking of how bad things had gotten.

Bardock fought with everything he had, fighting like it was for Vegeta its self. Then it hit Bardock, literary. He felt a sharp pain on his head, then his body slammed into the ground. He couldn't believe it,

"She actually did it,son of a b****" Bardock spoke very silently.

Bardock tried to stay awake.

"No I can't die like this!"Bardock raged.

He placed his limp arms to the boulder and started forcing in up. He pushed the whole thing up! Bardock got up while holding it and tossed it up in the air and then blasted it into a million tiny pieces. Bardock looked at the girl Sayian and smiled. He then looked back toward the Oozaru.

"Get up beast!" Bardock told the ape, "If I can survive that you can to!"

Bardock grabbed the neck of the ape and held it up. Then he slapped it in the face.

"Get up lazy!"Bardock told it." Fine then," Bardock then stuck his knee into it's chest.

The Oozaru woke up flaming mad. It tried to punch Bardock straight on. Bardock grabbed his fist.

"Not today,"

The ape then tried to blast Bardock more and more, but Bardock dodged every one.

"How about this!" Bardock told it as he kicked it in the nose."Not so tough now big guy,"

Celerus searched until she was almost frantic with the thought that she may have killed the other two Saiyans. When Bardock pulled himself from the rubble and smiled she could have laughed… until he started berating the Oozaru, still pinned beneath the rubble.

The creature grunted and snapped its massive jaws at Bardock as he grabbed it’s throat. Celerus tried to talk over it while it growled at them

Celerus shook her head, “I’m glad to see you weren’t crushed. A little late.. But my name is Celerus, daughter of Ceylon from the Wakame family.” She would have extended her hand to shake his but it was wrapped firmly around the Oozaru’s neck. It continued to struggle and snap at him. Celerus sighed, “Listen, let’s just put this pitiful creature out of its misery huh? Sure its powerful, but there is no honor in living like this.”

“Had you not pushed these rocks onto me, you’d know what true power really is girl.” The Oozaru growled at her in an animalistic voice. The young Saiyan girl was now completely speechless. Her mouth hung open in awe. Did she just hallucinate or did the Oozaru really still have enough presence of mind to speak their language? Maybe this wasn’t the Oozaru the village people had spoken about… She looked up to the sky to see the state of the moon. Not full. She looked back at it.

“How did this happen to you?”

Through the fog of dust Dilletuce eventually spots some movement. He floated in with a grin clapping as loud and slow as he could to make himself noticed. He grinned to the monster a large creepy grin as if his hole face had sunk into his smile. His eyes went from the female sayain to the male sayain to the oozaru as he then begins to speak

“ That is indeed some might you have there sayain. Though what I heard in the legend was that you were weaker than most sayains so you ran in the cave,” He states looking at the cave which is hidden behind the trapped oozaru.

He then continues” Although you seem pretty strong and from the looks of it. You have been fighting this way for a while now or else you would have tanked out.”

The oozaru growls at this point asking” Who the heck are you?” As he glares at Dilletuce with an alert feel upon his face.

Dilletuce then lowers himself to the rubble over the oozaru as he made his way to him ignoring the two sayains as he states.

“ Dilletuce is my name. I came to see if the rumors of you’re existence was true and now that I know that you exist I would like to be the first to tell you that you are not the weakling that my father told you to be.”

The oozaru only growled a bit agitated that his story was that of a weak sayain but in all truth no one was to blame for this. After all he had been there for quite some time and could not be held responsible for any rumors made about him.

Bardock went backward a little to rest. Then the impossible happened. The ape started to talk to the girl Sayian to told Bardock she was called Celerus. During the conversation that the other male Saiyan had with the money, he said his name was Dilletuce. Once they were done talking Bardock walked forward.

"Great Oozaru," Bardock spoke,

The ape started to growl at Bardock.

"My name is Bardock, I am a Saiyan, I wish you no harm," Bardock told the beast.

"Then what do you bring me?"The Oozaru asked,"Death?"

"I came to train with you, no one else believed that you were real I thought I was the only one, I wanted to learn the ways of the all mighty powerful Oozaru," Bardock proudly told the ape, " I met these two here, I truly mean you know harm, but once I felt that my life was in danger, I acted on instinct,"

"It was foolish to come here, I could rip you to pieces, but I will not do that, I sense you have somewhat good intentions, " The ape told Bardock, " However I will not let you off with free training, If you Bardock, can help me revert back to normal form I will train you. Do you accept?"

"I accept mighty ape," Bardock replied.

Bardock then turned toward the other two Saiyans

"Come on let's help this Oozaru," Bardock told his new friends.

The day was not going in the direction Celerus had planned. In the course of an hour she had stumbled onto a man trapped as an Oozaru, a suicidal nature enthusiast, and a conspiracy theorist and it was barely even lunchtime. Though her plans for some private self reflection had been ruined, she couldn’t help but find her interests piqued by the incredible strength the Oozaru possessed. She felt daring as she climbed up onto it’s chest and looked down to stare it directly in the snout.

“How did this happen to you, Oozaru?” She asked.

The Oozaru’s chest heaved with each breath and Celerus had to steady herself to keep balance, “I wasn’t always this way, woman. I wasn’t much younger than you when I was transformed by the light of the full moon along with the rest of our race. It was exhilarating… that is until the next day when everyone had reverted back except me. Some tried to help me, but most were fearful of me. They thought I was dangerous and that I’d try to attack them. They banned together into a mob and chased me out here into the wild where I have stayed until today. It’s been so long now that I’ve lost track of how many years its been.”

Celerus felt pity for the creature. Alone in the woods, hiding for years with no one to fight or train with.

“I’m going to be honest, Oozaru, I don’t really know what we can do to help you. All we can do is try but in the end, this just might be your lot.”

“I understand, woman, and I am grateful.”

Celerus turned to Bardock and motioned her head toward the boulders covering the Oozaru, “C’mon. Lets free him.” Then she turned to the stranger watching them from the air, “I don’t know who you are or what your agenda is, but we could use some help here.”

The sayain only grinned at the two as he heard the story unfold. He looked to the oozaru and stated in a calm voice. I will help you but you must do something for me as well.”

The oozaru only growled a bit after being expected to do a favor for all three sayains at once. After all he was in his peaceful little cave until these three showed up.He could only show a look of disgust as he then asked” and what is this favor?”

Dilletuce smirk grew to a grin as he continued “ first I want you to return to the city of sayains in vegeta.”

The oozaru grumbled as he states” Soon as I can revert to sayain form then I will.”
Dilletuce then took a step forward stating”secondly I want to see the might of a sayain!”

This time his voice was raised up as to encourage the beast. He grinned as he thought to himself”this sayain may prove very well a challenge for me but first thing is first.

Dilletuce continued to yell” Get yourself out you big lug of fur. Show me the strength you had before these boulders came crashing down!”

As he chanted the oozaru baegan struggling amongst the boulders growling as they seemed to move a bit. The oozaru had not only been encouraged but bewildered that he was being pushed this hard by someone who didn't know a single thing about him.

Dilletuce yelled once more” I know you are stronger then that. A sayain never backs down from a fight or challenge. Their pride is unimaginably great and with such they can over com,e anything!”

His coaching did more than work. The oozaru eventually used a mouth blast to obliterate the rock before he stood up . The sayain then rose from the boulders in flight once more as he looks back to the female only thinking to himself.

“ She must be one soft sayain after all. Still at least she now knows the might of a sayain.”

Bardock was surprised how the one that calls himself Dilletuce could get the Oozaru to break free from the rocks.

"Great Oozaru," Bardock spoke, " I don't know what to do, I feel it would be best if we went to earth where they have a full moon once a month, we could learn the ways of the Oozaru, then we would have a better understanding of what to do to help you, other then that i don't see how we can help you."

Bardock walked to the ape and then flew up to his head. Bardock then began to rub his head.

"We'll get you back to normal form big guy,"

He then flew down and walked to the others.

"See ya guys later, I think next week we can leave for earth, If we get a shuttle pass we should be able to figure this out there,"Bardock told them,

He then flew back down the path. He got so tired he had to begin walking. After a very long walk he reached his home where he laid down for a long nap. Once he awoke he headed off to train for the day. Then he would go get a shuttle pass to head off for earth to help the poor Oozaru.

Celerus was put off by the thought of leaving the planet Vegeta to help the Oozaru. After all, she had responsibilities to her job as a Planet Trade mercenary and a member of the Saiyan army.

Still, she found the prospect of transforming exhilarating. She had been mesmerized by the Oozaru’s strength and she had given her word that she would at least try to help him. There was a lot she had to do in preparation if she was going off to adventure across the universe. And what would her father say? Suddenly Celerus realized it had been years since she had seen him. Isn’t this the kind of thing that he had shoved her out into the world for? Her mind was all but made up and she nodded at Bardock.

“I’m in. I have to put some affairs in order before we leave but nothing that I can’t do in the matter of a day or so.” She smirked, “After all, desertion is a very serious crime. I’ll meet you at the shuttle launch in a few days.. Make sure you purchase everything you need while you can. I don’t know what kind of accommodations they have on Earth.” Then she turned to Dilletuce, “I don’t know what you’re all about, but if you want you’re welcome to join us on our shuttle to Earth if you want to see this thing all the way through. Meet us at the planetary shuttle launch at noon in three days if you’d like.. Be prompt because I won’t wait.”

Celerus took off behind Bardock toward home to make preparations and excited by the prospect of adventure.

Dilletuce was intrigued by the information he had heard from bardock yet he had no intention what so ever to leave the planet he had worked so hard to protect. He would rather be drug through a pod than to go inside of one just to do planet duty. The very utterance of those words had made him shiver.

He grinned looking at the two as he states” well while you go searching for understanding. I think I will stay here on vegeta and search for an actual solution.”

He looked to the oozaru still floating in the air as he smiled with a trusting gaze.
He had a wicked grin on his face as he states” I will find the solution to you’re transformation but you must remember our agreement.”

The oozaru only nodded as he still had that same look of disgust on hos face as if being an oozaru wasn't enough punishment. He had to as well make favors to one of his own people to turn him back into a sayain.

Dilletuce turned back to the city for a split second as he looked back to the oozaru asking “ is there a certain place I should start looking?”

The oozaru in a deep voice had replied” there should be a sayain still in the city that knws of my story and possibly the name of the person who did this to me. I believe his name to be Zukadna.”

Dilletuce had only nodded as he made his way back to the city with great hast. It had been quite the day for him and after all every sayain needs their rest some time. He only smiled a bit thinking of the day ahead.
